From start to finish Superior did an excellent job removing our old parking lot in Alger Heights. They had trucks scheduled one after another bringing in new asphalt. They professionally applied the asphalt showing almost no seams.Superior’s parking lot yellow stripe department did an awesome job laying and painting our new yellow lines.Dave, our contact always responded to questions and concerns during this project. I was sideswioed by one of their drivers. I called and was told a supervisor would be in touch. She called back and said she couldnt do a police report over the phone. I said I was going in to do one and she said to do that and submit to my insurance. I asked if that was all her company had to say and she replied with well he didnt notice he hit you and he has no damage when I reviewed their FB with this info and pics of the damage the owner replued several times that I was basically out of lune and rude. Um yesh! You hit me, drove off, then said I could deal with the damage myself! No apology, no request for pics in damage, they simply dont care, but Im out of line. Seems they only care if you are paying them. Totally dropped the vall and STILL wont try and make it right.

As a director of facilities for a large school district, i used Superior the last 12+ years both for total replacements and repairs. The quotes were competive and the work was excellent. For quotes, they came out and checked every site. Plotted the repairs on my maps and detailed what repairs they felt were needed. From there i decided what to do. No pressure. The service guys would call and coordinate with my schedules and projects. Very professional and timely. I would highly recommend Superior Asphalt for repairs, tear outs, or new lots.

We had Superior surface our driveway. From the knowledgeable estimator to the finished product, I couldn’t be more pleased. Road signs were put up a day ahead to alert traffic as we live on a hill. Dave, the project estimator, was professional and courteous. Bidding process was efficient and competitive. Once awarded, Dave was prompt to find a schedule that worked around our business needs. As the project day approached, Dave scheduled a final walk through to ensure all bases were covered.Day of project went perfect. I was notified 1 hour prior to arrival of the crew. After arrival and initial set up, Superior went right to work. Milling was clean and efficient. Ashpalt rolling was near perfect. We had an asphalt driveway for 23 years that washed out the sides all the time, we got Superior over and with their magic they did a little milling and grading then repaved everything. Now when the water flows down our drive it doesnt even touch the sides. I have been working with Superior Asphalt for 7 years now and they have done several jobs for me, always outstanding work and always done on or ahead of schedule. They have worked around our tough parking situation and made sure they were able to accommodate all of our needs. They have continued to keep great open lines of communication and check in on all of the work they have performed.

We need to have our driveway replaced and Superior was recommended. I called and asked if someone could give us an estimate. A week or so after my initial call to Superior I called again asking when someone would be coming out to give an estimate. Unbeknownst to my husband and me someone had been over. I told the receptionist we hadn’t received an estimate and we would like to talk to the person because we have questions. I was told the person would call us. Another week went by and nothing. I call Superior a third time and the receptionist gave me the cell phone number of the guy who had the estimate. I called him and left a message to please call me. I first became a customer of Superior Asphalt in 2012 when they resealed and repaired our driveways. It’s important to do this to extend the life of your asphalt. We had them return in 2016 to reseal them again. We just had their estimator, Dave, come out and give us a quote for resealing and repairing our driveways in 2021. We continue with this company because their crew shows up when they say they are going to show up and they make our driveways look new again. I have worked with their estimator, Dave, all of this time. It says something about a company when employees stay. I highly recommend Superior Asphalt for your next driveway resealing or repairs.

The team at Superior Asphalt did an amazing job with our driveway. After having a failing concrete drive for the last several years, their crews came in, removed the busted slabs, rebuilt the base, then did a great job paving and rolling the new driveway. Attention to detail was fantastic. They were careful around the landscaping, made sure there was no overlap at the edges of the garage and walkway. Did a great job cleaning up and minimizing impact. I had some repair done in my driveway that was 12 years old at that time. The top of the drive was sinking in some parts so I had superior cut the length of the driveway (3 stalls) at the top and bottom and lay new asphalt. A few month later they started to separate and I asked if they could seal the separation with tar and they said they would but never did. I had Murray’s asphalt do it (great company BTW). This the same spot that was sunken in is sinking again and superiors warranty is only 1 year. Long story short poor quality work and poor quality customer service. Will never use them again, maybe they are more commercial type contractors.

We had a large broken up industrial parking lot to mill/replace, and contracted Superior Asphalt to do the job. They were not the lowest price, but committed to a time sensitive project.Early, on site milling day, it was discovered that the existing fractured asphalt was closer to 6 thick, rather than 3, and had nothing but sand below as a sub-grade, where at least 6 of gravel over sand is the industry rule. We had a disaster on our hands, and realized immediately how important it was to have chosen Superior.Rick Browley Jr. took charge, with our approval, and ordered the entire lot taken down 9 rather than 3, wasting the value of the asphalt millings with sand to zero. He ordered a dozer, and several more trucks, to take out the waste and replace it to compacted grade with crushed concrete. This was all done by end of the same day, with a late morning start.The added charge was more than fair, to have a superior project completed by a superior company. They simply earn their name!!Evan

I have several clients and Friends who have used Superior Asphalt for repaving and Paving of New Lots for their businesses. I also have family members and friends who have used them for driveways and other asphalt projects. Ive seen quite a bit of their work Ive watched some of their work being performed by their employees done very professionally do a great job of preparing the surface and the finished project always looks amazing they take a lot of time and care to give you an excellent product at a fair price. Terrible truck drivers. Please know that if you send your drivers to a city to check what roads are for trucks, and if they drive the speed limit it would be very helpful, as your many trucks (6-8) drove past our street far beyond the speed limit of 30 mph on 40th St. in Holland. 40th is an alternative route for trucks and not a primary. I am quite certain that there was no closure of a highway at 7:30 on a Saturday morning that caused you to take an alternative route. Please ask your drivers to check the actual truck routes and speed limits. I have contacted our local police as well to be aware of your drivers. We have children walking, runners running and people sleeping at this time of day. Thank you.
