I have a very old commercial LP griddle and it was difficult to find someone to work on it. I was referred to Midwest Food Equipment Service by someone else that advised they didnt work on LP griddles, but MFES did work on them. They gave me a quote and fixed the equipment in a quick turn around time frame.
Over priced by a long shot. These people utilize the supply and demand rule hard core. You need it, we have it, youll pay what we want you to pay.
They hired me with no experience and put me through their training programs and change my life forever. Best people I ever work for. If you have a problem with them or their service call them and give them a chance to make it right. I have moved on to go into a different field but they are truly the best.
While attempting to fix our oven, they fried another piece of our equipment. After denying it, I finally convinced them of it, and they took this piece of equipment to a repair shop. It was there 3 different times after the issue was continually not fixed. I found out months later, they didnt actually have the repair shop fix what they blown because it was too expensive. Now we are stuck paying for that $1500 repair. One of the office guys was super nice, everyone else was rude. They overcharge for their services and they even charge you if they dont actually fix the issue at hand. If you need kitchen equipment serviced, use the other company in town.
The friendly, knowledgeable people at Midwest Food Equipment Service are always a pleasure to work with. Best in the business!
Worst customer service I have seen in my entire career of working in foodservice. I gave them a working Hobart mixer with gear one not working. Speed two and three worked fine. after charging me 307 dollars for a pickup and to take it apart and look at it, they informed me it would take 2300 dollars to fix it. (more than the mixer cost me) They rebuilt this machine for me less than a year and a half ago for nearly 1000 dollars then. Well it gets better.. they called me two weeks ago and said they needed the 2300 dollars to which I said just give it back to me in the original shape i sent it in and they said they werent sure they could do that and wanted more money to fix it back the way it was. Well two weeks later and still no machine back to me (including the attachment and bowl that they took and really didnt need from what I am hearing from other service agencies) now it feels like they are holding my machine as hostage and I do believe they screwed something up taking it apart. Even the tech that was at my restaurant said it was the 1st speed gear that was bad and witnessed it running in speed 2 and 3. I am almost out of patience with this company and am ready to file with BBB and retain an attorney to make them fix this machine. Funny how they cant put it back together the way it was and now that I wont pay more money they keep my machine and equipment that they took too. After talking to a few other business owners in Muskegon they have said that they have had similar experiences with this company and are a rip off.. I have a name of a new service company and will use them from now on. Midwest is a junk company that seems to make things worse than fix them. I am wondering now about the last time they took my machine and it cost me so much to rebuild it. if it really even needed that work. I will give feedback again after they either return it or force me to take action against them. I know I am not the first to complain and I am sure they will come up with some excuse to make themselves sound logical but after talking to another service company and telling me they would have rebuilt the whole thing for 1400 dollar (not 2300) I am beginning to get the picture on this company. I will spread the word as fast as I can Midwest. I have given you a month to take care of this but you chose this avenue.
They took care of me right away in a emergency. Thank You
Horrible customer service. We have tickets that have been open now for 42 days and Midwest missed another scheduled service visit. Terrible.
Great!
