This is the worst worst worst BMW dealership/service department in history! I’ve been to several different locations and I cannot fathom how this service center represents BMW so poorly. Despite there’s currently low inventory in parts, their service is absolutely terrible. Their management does not care. My car was in the shop for 6 weeks because of the delay in shipment for parts from Germany which I understand is out of their control. They have terrible communication and the service agent is rude. I tried contacting them every single day and I either get no response or something unpleasant. I tried reaching out to the manager but he cannot be reached whatsoever, he is apparently not even there half of the time. I’m going to escalate this to the corporate office if I do not hear back from their management team. I do not usually write reviews but for this matter I really don’t want others stuck in the same situation as I am.

Recently took my car in for front brake service. I dropped the car off and two and a half hours later it was ready to go. They say customer service is dead but this place redefines it. All of the staff is very helpful and super friendly.

Rating should be a one for the particular employee “Matt” I have been working in the car industry for a lengthy amount of time, so when I visit the service department I have my fair share of respect for the service advisors. Typically they are responsible for getting customers cars in and out of the shop and deals with customers directly. Customer situation aren’t always “Cut and Dry” and there comes times where things can become overwhelming. All things considered I called BMW OF BAYSIDE once I discovered that I was low on air on my passenger front tire. I called on a Friday at 3:20PM and asked for service. The receptionist asked me the reason for service and I explained to them my situation. Immediately after I stopped speaking I heard a man (Matt) scream out our techs leave at 3:30PM. The receptionist relayed the message and I asked if I can just buy the tire if they had it in stock. I was transferred to the parts and inquired about the availability of my particular tire for my car. “Dom”confirmed and agreed to put it to the side. I arrive at 3:40PM and speak with the service advisor (Matt)and made him aware of a solution if they could call my insurance company and file the claim or start and if just pay for the tire with my own money until they dealership got paid by the Insurance company. Matt advised me that he couldn’t do that because he’d have to run the car through the shop and that there was no technicians to get him the information and wear of the tires. I wasn’t trying to be a pain so I purchased the tire that they charged me $650

Took it in for an appointment at 1:30 on a Monday. They didn’t even look at it until Thursday. This place over books big time. Car has about 50K miles, needed a new battery and a new serpentine belt, I knew this, but didn’t have the equipment to do it myself. Guy calls me up and says there is an oil leak and needs thousands of dollars worth of work, it’s a big deal. I was under the hood the day before, not a speck of oil any where. I say to replace the battery (so I can drive it home). When I pick it up, I tell the guy, I know your lying about the oil leak, guy won’t look me in the face, he knows he lying too. I take it to a reputable dealer out in Westbury, they say no oil leak, and replace the belt. They are liars here, and make stuff up to over charge, horrible customer service, they keep your car for days even though you have an appointment. Beware of this place

I have a BMW X5 M 2020 and had an issue with passenger latch and door hatch which another dealer where I bought car could not rectify, I went to Bayside right after Storm IDA and the dealership was packedAngelo the Director of Service not only said we will take care of it he went the extra mile to involve technical assistance from BMW to finally resolve both issuesAngelo runs an efficient operation and gets back to you on updates either personally or his service advisors, I recommend Bayside for BMW service and repairs

Due to traffic I arrived at BMW Bayside late and the Parts Department was already closed. Thank God the manager was there, he went beyond customer service and was able to assist me. Im sorry, I dont remember his name but he was very attentive and professional. Many thanks for your service.

I had an appointment today at 9:30am. Upon arrival, I was told to “take a seat” and someone will call me. Someone did... at 10:25! Upset with the wait, I asked to speak with a manager. Twenty-five minutes later, I was ushered into the office of Kal Dellaportas. As I explained my situation, he stared at his computer screen. When I said I would wait until he was finished, he said he could “multitask” and was looking up my information. He did not yet even know my name! When Kal finally gave me his attention, I explained my annoyance at the (total 90 minute) wait. He said, “Let me make this clear. You expect me to drop everything and take care of you right away? I have lots of flooded cars...” I told him he was speaking in a condescending manner and that was making matters worse. How about a sincere apology? An acknowledgment of the poor customer service? My husband and I have been a customer for more than 5 years.

This location had our car for over 8 days and haven’t touched it ! There is something wrong with our Ac, we’ve changed absolutely everything another dealership has recommended it, brought it here for another look ( just incase something was missed )They had the car for 8 days and haven’t touched it, didn’t return our phone calls until I’ve called BMW of North America. Jonathan lied thru his teeth, telling me the same thing that stated on the paper from another dealership( like I’m incapable of reading myself ) we basically picked our car up and weren’t going to bring back to this dealership anyways but we’ve heard from BMW of North America stating that this dealership refused to work on our car in the future! And that’s because they got caught in their lies. It’s sad that dealerships can refuse working on their manufacture cars just because they feel like it ?overall don’t waste your time or money here ! Btw they had a whole parking lot filled with loaners vehicles but when we asked for one they said that they didn’t have any ??? They pick and choose whom they provide service -seems like! And again it’s an individual dealership discretion! 🤦‍♀️

Not coming back. Had a turn signal module replaced but Service advisor Greg swears the tab was already missing but i know it was not rhe case. Show me the photos then. I just want to but the tab cover but Now they want to bring in the car to “inspect the whole assembly” again just to quote me for the tab just to find more issues with the whole assembly. Complete rip off.

Been going to BMW of Bayside since 2015!! They official!! My service advisor Greg a real one!! When my engine blew on my 650 gran coupe after the warranty expired He got me a new engine at no cost with a warranty covering up to 120,000 miles on it! Ricardo another real one he always get me the best loaner even if I arrive in the afternoon. Best prices, response times & real ones in town!! Holla @ em!!

I brought my 550i GT (out of warranty) here because one of the windows stopped going up.Christine was my specialist and told me the diagnosis fee is 174. I also asked her to take a look at the leak problem and the sound system malfunction. She said no problem. The diagnostic took about 2 hrs which I didnt really mind waiting since I thought they were checking everything.They got back to me with an estimate of 1600 plus tax to replace the window motor and regulator (which is ridiculous) and I said Id rather take it to my preferred repair shop.Their attitude completely changed after that. And when I asked about the other issues that I asked them to check, I was told that Id need another diagnostic charge of 174 for them to check that.WTF??? The whole concept of charging a flat rate diagnostic fee is to charge it once and not on a per-case basis!I foolishly ignored all the recent negative reviews, hoping that one if the biggest service centers in NY wont pull this type of tricks. Very disappointing.Also, they wash quietly didnt provide a promised car wash stayting that would have been done after a repairing the window.

Bought my certified pre-owned 2016 X5 from bmw in Westchester NY. Always brought it to Bayside Service center to get serviced. My advisor George Fan is the most helpful professional individual working there. He goes above and beyond to make sure any problems or minor issues that occur get addressed and handled in a timely manner. As we all know owning a Bmw is expensive to maintain. But I wouldn’t switch to any other car manufacturer not because of the amazing driving experience u get from bmw but because I have someone like George in my corner. I will be purchasing another Bmw for that reason. I could easily switch to Mercedes or Porsche but I doubt i’ll get the same treatment elsewhere. Highly recommend George Fan as your advisor if you have the option to choose.

My bmw told me I needed brake fluid changed I called made appointment when I arrived the service manager mike bald guy said they don’t change fluids anymore and said it would cost $200.00 dollars I said why was t I told this when making appointment he said mike with a attitude they only make appointments and drove there for nothing and they switch device light off when I first started going there the device was good now it seems mike is getting to comfortable with job and not as pleasant as once was the time before this he told me to write survey and I started apparently I wasn’t doing it fast enough he mike actually took my phone from my hands and did his own survey so if that’s the way it works I’m sure he looks pretty good so now with change in policy decline in service and sevice department with a attitude I will no longer be buying BMW’S

Took my BMW x4 for service because the IDrive system was constantly rebooting. After a week no call to let us know how the process was going. After calling them 3 times, they claimed they called us and was arguing with us over the phone. Horrible customer service. Try another dealership.

SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELIf I could give this place and my service manager (Jennifer) 0 stars I would. This has been an awful experience. I made an appointment to get my tires changed and for a weird noise that was coming from my car after Bmw had initially serviced it. I dropped off my car a couple hours before it was scheduled for the drop off. The service manager Jen, who had assisted me was rude during my check in which is fine, I understand she is busy. I waited for 3 hours and gave the service department a call back to get an update on the car, not only was it not started, but nothing had been done. Which is fine, I understand it is a drop off... After 7 hours I gave the store a call back only to get the voicemail of my service agent yet again.... and with no update on my car from her. I finally told the receptionist to directly get Jen on the line as I wanted to speak and inquire the status of my vehicle. She told me the tires hasn’t been changed and I would not be getting my car back today.. which was not communicated to me at all!!!! Jen said, drop off vehicles are not guaranteed same day return... which has never been communicated to me and this is not the first time I have dropped off my car. She stated that she would give me a call in the morning to update me on when my car would be done.The next morning I receive a text stating that the tires I needed are not in stock... and they would need to be ordered! WHY WAS THIS NOT CHECKED BEFORE WHEN MY CAR WAS DROPPED OFF OR WHEN I HAD MADE MY APPOINTMENT THE DAY BEFORE?! I had asked specially about the tires being in stock before I made my appointment and when I got there. Jen, stated she would check and make sure and give me a call to ensure the tires were there and the price she had quoted was correct. THAT WAS NOT DONE AT ALL... AND I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN IF I DIDNT CALL THE SERVICE CENTER. The individual who helped me make an appointment stated that he would check with parts to ensure the tires were there, which was clearly not done... and the price is more expensive then I had been quoted! HONESTLY THE WORST SERVICE MANAGER I HAVE EVER DELT WITH! Her excuse was she was busy... which is fine, but don’t state something will be done or communicated if it will not be.... SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE, or request for someone else. JEN IS NOT THE SERVICE MANAGER YOU WANT TO WORK WITH!

Had 340i and m340i now. Went in for a regular checkup a couple weeks ago. The experience here in general was far from excellent. It took up good 3 hours to get regular maintenance and a tire change done, excluding the hours spent waiting in line,(I bet it would have been done in 2 hours or less normally in other center) . Some of the staffs were not professional, I felt like I was at a dmv, a lady who took care of payment literally threw my driver license in front of me when she was done(I am never rude or anything). Also the guy who handled my case, not so professional either. Long hour, take-it-or-leave-it kind of service attitude. Could be subjective feeling, but the way they speak and their gesture, Never felt like I am at DMV in other bmw service centers

Third time having my vehicle serviced at this shop and it has always been a pleasant & professional experience. Wendy was my service advisor and she is the main reason why my experience was smooth. She was extremely helpful and always kept in contact and informed me every step of the way. She is fast, efficient, and professional. I recommend to set an appointment and be ready to leave your car because it is usually busy.

I took my E39 for a State Inspection. Before I did, I made sure everything was working properly.I came into the service drive w/out warnings on the dashboard. An hour later, the technician came up with the stop light bulbs (3) looks burned but their working except the middle one witch is not true.I make sure they work properly. Besides, they dont have in stock,it will take 2 hours to get it from the warehouse.I personally carry the most important parts and I had a spare light bulb with me.He used my part and changed me $80.00 dollars I was ripped off from the Service advisor and the technician.It was not right to charged me when I provided my own original part but most important I came with everything working properly.I was told by one guy from the same Bayside dealer that when you come with and old car and is customer paid,they will find the way to charge you for every little detail.Thats how they get a plus on their CSI.In closing,I would like to said that I was overcharged at this time when I came to you with no issues in the car. Very disappointed to see the way you guys take advantage of customers.

Very bad service, very bad attitude, look down on people. They think they are so noble and you are begging them to help you with your car when you bring your bmw to them for service. They want to charge you every penny. I live in Bayside, lease a BMW from Bayside BMW 12 years ago (before their service department were in the old location). Very bad service and attitude. After 3 years, my lease ended, I started to lease from BMW life quality of Brooklyn. I am sticking with Brooklyn BMW even they are 25 miles away from me. I went for emergency service today at Bayside BMW service. Still very bad service and attitude. Dont recommend to do business with them. Trust me.

Wanted to bring in my car to get service done under the maintenance package. Was really disappointed to find out that they dont give loaners out despite the job may take at least 2-3 hours. I needed to get to work and they told me to figure out my own ride or pay for their rental. I paid good money for the package and loaners were part of of the contract. Never had this issue with other service center. Will be making a complaint to corporate.

BMW bayside service center.To be honest with you guys; I didn’t see any professional differences between BMW mechanics and other pvt auto mechanics in the market.I dropped my BMWx6. The issue in my car was not starting completely dead. They said oh this is the battery problem. Battery changed for 328$Same problem again. Oh it’s a battery cable issue. Changed for $756.Same problem. Oh it’s a water pump issue. Quotation 1750$ plus tax.Most interesting. They said if again the problem you faced then will change the alternator for couple of thousand dollars.Most interesting thing. Received call from Matt that there are some electrical work in the engine total cost is 2540$.Now I’m asking all the customers. Should I go again to this service center?They think that all the BMW owners are rich people. Let’s make more money to get appreciation from the BMW, but they don’t care about us.Please consider my 1 star minus 10.Recommendation: please find any pvt bmw mechanics in the market, but don’t come here.I’m going to sale out my bmw and will never buy a car from BMW. I switched from Mercedes GLE to BMW X6. Wrong decision or came to wrong and unprofessional service center.Thanks

I was a Reservist deployed overseas when my brother dropped of my X5. I called from overseas and was quoted repairs at $3,300. I approved. When car was ready was informed “it was a little more than we thought”. Total was 6G. I would have said no as my car was 10 years old, but I had no choice but to pay. I was overseas and they had my car. Unbelievably dishonest. Who initiates 2700 worth of repair without approval?!?!

If I can give 0 stars I would. Came in for a regular check up for a lease . was told my warranty is expired which is complete b.s. i have car for 3 years. it expired 7 months early . after arguing with them the the GM gave a one time courtesy override. But then they said something was wrong with breaks and the cost is $2600 plus tax. its a lease and i shouldnt pay anything for it to fix other than tires. The car was under driven and had so many problems to begin with. The breaks could be done for 90% less at a local mechanic shop. Will never deal with this location or with BMW ever again. Terrible customer service. Techs also forgot to top off the car. disgusting experience. stay away from them.

Showed no help at all. Came for some rattle noise issue with my trunk and some wheel alignment but rejected me soon as they found out my car has an accident history.(Very Minor) and so i moved on for wheel alignment but mechanic turned me down again and said that nothing wrong with my wheels where in fact there is and you can actually see it! It’s got some dings and does not drive perfectly. I wouldn’t recommend this place and i’m never coming back! And yes... my car is still under warranty!

Purchased a replacement key fob for $330, paid additional $190 for a service appointment to program. In order to program, they need your other keys. When picking up programmed key, I noticed that they lost one of my key blades. They insist that they didn’t lose it, refuse to review security footage and sent me off

Were not helpful. Seems you must have a newer vehicle...i called in advance because I lost my wheel lock key, they told me bring the car in and they will use their master set to determine the key and order it if they dont have it in stock. Needless to say, when I arrived the parts department agent said he doesnt have the master set for my car because its old school and that type of wheel lock has been discontinued. My car is a 2011, but yet I was able to get it from Amazon for 5x less the price of what I would have paid if the dealership had it.

If you decide to service your BMW here just be prepared to be overcharged. I advise you to look for another dealership or service center. If you do end up servicing your car here make sure you really read your invoice with all the notes. I took my car in for battery replacement and worked with Jennifer Odato the service advisor she overcharged me $750 just for battery replacement. That’s not the worst of it after changing the battery the mechanic noted that he found leak from oil pan never was I notified about the leak by Jennifer. She had 3 opportunities to notify me about the mechanic findings. 1 when she was told by the mechanic about the issue 2 when she emailed me and texted me that my car was ready to be picked up. 3 when I arrived to pick up my car and she asked me for my information to pull my paperwork. I ended up paying and was waiting for them to pull my car around so I can leave when I started reading the invoice and noticed that the mechanic stated he found oil pan was leaking. After reading this I went back into the location and asked Jennifer Odato what the note was about her response was “ Yes sorry I forgot to mention to you the mechanic found a serious leak” I was immediately frustrated by this because for something that is serious when would I have been notified about it if I never looked at the invoice I would have never known about the issue. Jennifer just had attitude about the situation and even said “sorry you are not human and don’t make any mistakes”. To make things worst when I spoke with the manager Karl he was no help to the situation. He just wanted me out of the building. I have been servicing my car here since 2013 and today was my last never again. I will be finding another service center.

Melissa is my adviser and she is the best. Friendly, knowledgeable, no nonsense, and fast. She always lets me know whats going on with my car and makes the whole transaction easy, quick, and pain free. The center has coffee and mini bagels in the morning. There are couches and desks with tablets. So far Ive had a great experience there. Thank you!

There are better BMW service centers than this one. Honestly disappointed by their treatment. I called ahead to figure out what time to come in because of work. They told me to come in by 7:30 if I wanted to be done by 9:30. They didn’t start service until 8am and when I got here told me that the service on average takes 1.5 hours and that it will be difficult for me to be done by 9:30. Why bother calling ahead if this is the case? I told them that I need to leave by 9:30. Didn’t get any sort of update or any heads up and when it was 9:33 I went to the desk to ask for an update. She didn’t say a word to me other than take me to the front and told me the valet will bring the car out. Its now 9:40 still waiting for my car.I’m sure the service people are great and all but the customer service here is not so great and I’ve had better experience at Freeport location and the Oyster Bay location.

I posted 2 months some complaints, and the ownership replied my comment that he wants me contact to the manager of service center, always manager is not available, even I left message for manager, they never call me back this is really irresponsible, so I keep driving with unsafe conditions now.Heres what I posted 2 months ago.I dropped my vehicle BMW 335xi to get service by recall (Air bag and Motor blowing wires problem).After they fix my car. My airbag off light still on, and main problem is even engine off, the Water Pump keep making noise for less than 1 minute. Its really bothering me and feel no safe, so I went back to there and told them that after they fix my car water pump keep running even engine is off, and when I start up the RPM goes up 5 times with no reason every single time. BUT they said they didnt even touch for air pump area, However, for customers like me, how we know what parts they fix and maybe they touched some part by mistake.So they are like they dont know about it.Then where can I complain about the problem exactly after they fix my vehicle..??**UPDATED**Per as Owners comment,I called them up and left voice mail and left message to representative.But nobody call me back.This is really IRRESPONSIBLE.

My experience with Jen Odato was beyond perfect. She was able to help me with a major issue that suddenly appeared and was able to accommodate me. She was extremely professional, courteous and explained the next steps for the repairs. She understood my situation and got things done while I waited. Based on my experience with her and the dealership, I would go back her again and would also recommend to my friends. Also, Wendy R. who helped me when I arrived. was equally friendly, helpful and professional.

One of the worst experiences ever that I saw during the regular checkup and service for my BMW. The advisor didn’t provide any information as to when the service would be complete and it almost took 3 hours for the service to be complete. Very poor. Not up to the standards that the rest of the BMW service centres offer.

Edit from 5 to 2 stars. Representative was great to work with and super helpful. However, took my fixed car home and warning lights came back on the next day and need to bring this back to see what the issue is. Disappointed as I thought everything had been fixed. I’m giving them a 5 star because they always treat me right and the people that work there always do everything they can to help you. Jennifer Is amazing and very helpful. One thing that kinda annoyed me however was the fact that my wheel lock was missing and they called me saying that they can’t do anything without the wheel lock. Now I know this is true but as a BMW service center I would expect they would have everything in order to service your car. They told me that they might have to break them off and they would charge me another 200. Keep in mind, I’ve been here before with no wheel lock with the same car and they didn’t have a problem last time. They eventually told me that they found a wheel lock yet it still confused me how a BMW service center won’t have a wheel lock. It’s nothing crazy but I still love going there.

BMW Bayside service is one of the best service centers. We had a great experience bringing our car for routine service. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We worked with Jennifer Odato who scheduled our maintenance and had our car ready when promised. She ensured that my wife was taken cared of, which was especially appreciated as she had our two young children with her when she dropped off and picked up the car. We look forward to working with this service center again.

After having my car inspected at a local chain repair shop, they told me that I needed some front-end work.Since I had previously had a good experience at BOB, I called on 5/19 at 930 AM, but all service advisors were busy and it went to voicemail.I opted for the online chat bot and gave them my request for a rough estimate of what they would charge for these repairs.No one called me back.On Wed 5/20, I called at 9:30 AM and left a message for the advisor that had helped me before (Wendy Ng).No response againCalled back at 1:45, Spoke to Rina who indicated that she would make note of this and someone would get back to me and apologized.No response againNow it is Thursday 5/21 at 11 AM. Called back at left a message for Service Manager (Angelo) re: my above request and that if I do not get a call back today (and do not expect one), I will be taking my $1,000 + repairs elsewhere and will never return.Now I at least expected a call to tell me that I need to make an appt to bring it in and incur the $174 diagnostic fee before they can answer me.(Jeopardy theme playing in my head).

Ive come here consistently since purchasing my used BMW and they have been extremely reliable and fair while doing great work. Unlike other shops Ive used, I know that when I bring the car in, the problem will be fixed for good the first time.My service advisor Jen is also fantastic. Not only is she super responsive, but shes totally up-front and honest about the costs and timeline of getting a repair. After some bad experiences at other dealerships, its an incredibly pleasant surprise to come in to pick up your car and find the bill is at or even below what was quoted.

By far the worst BMW Service department that I have ever witnessed. Took them 1 week to book me an appointment. Had an appointment at 10:30... took them until 11am to see me.... asked me questions that I already answered over the phone. Told me there was a small wait for a loaner car... 1 hour and a half later and still no car. Told them I wanted my car back... took another 30 min to get it... Know one called me no one cared. ..the response is automated and the manager doesnt even call u back..Thanks :) great business guys.. I dare someone to call me and try to explain how this is normal... Dont believe the fabricated reviews here guys.. When it comes to expensive cars and repairs... its either you did have customer service or not... there is no grey area.

Recently took my vehicle there for recalls. One of which is the tricky passenger airbag recall. The loaner was nice to have and the service was done properly!I previously went here for recalls a few years ago and had a similar experience. I did one recall at Freeport and even though the facility is closer to me, I prefer BMW bayside service center now.

Terrible Place! A month ago, my 2015 bmw 528 had battery discharging issue and I brought it to this place and spent $2,000 with my alternator & battery replaced. It took couple days to fix. When I got my car back, I noticed that there was a scratch on my interior passenger door???!!!(as you can see from images below). So the next day I came back and I asked to speak to their service manager. First, I was told by one of their technicians that they dont take photo inside the car for evidence and then I was told by the service adviser to leave and wait for their manager to get back to me, because their manager was not there at the time. Fine, now it has been a month I have contacted them many times and asked in the emails & texts to be called back and I have yet to get any sort of reply. No customer consideration, completely unprofessional like other who commented!!! Avoid this place if you can and go elsewhere with better price and customer service! Im very disappointed!
