This is the only place in Green Bay Ive taken my car since moving to the area this summer. The technician I spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. Being someone with barely basic knowledge about cars, I was delighted to have their sales team explain things in terms I could understand. Even though they were more expensive than I expected the service was incredible. There werent any free treats like other shops provide but honestly Id rather have good service which AL Huss provides. I recommend this place if you have issues with your car that need to be diagnosed or even preventative maintenance. I went there expecting an oil change and maybe brakes. Come to find, I had parts literally snapped in the wheel well and a variety of other issues they were able to fix same-day. I love their expertise and how they had enough parts for like 6 major repairs for my car on hand. The process was simple and all of my problems were solved the same day I dropped the car off. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed. I received a mailer advertising a $19.99 oil change. Close to home and decided to give it a shot. Made an appointment and specifically stated I received your mailer for the $19.99 oil change. Went to drop my vehicle off and she brings my paperwork out and the price was like 60 odd bucks?!?! Tried to explain this and that, and that they could take something off. Came back and the price was over $100! All I wanted was the oil change that they were advertising. I did appreciate seeing what I would have been charged before the work started. Needless to say, I’m not paying $60+ for an oil change, let alone $100+. Not sure what was so difficult about it but beware if you have work done there make sure you see what they are going to charge you so you’re not surprised when you see the bill. Had I not seen the estimate I would have been not happy at all when I picked it up.

They are always up front with cost, always telling you what can and can not wait. They are willing to work with my schedule, take the to explain what things are and when I needed theyve lent me a loaner car without cost. Super friendly and honest people. Highly recommend them!!

I contacted them and let them know I had a 1976 Cadillac with old AC system.I told them it needs to be upgraded to a newer system.Their version of upgrading to a newer system was to thread adapter fittings on to my AC system so that they could try to put New refrigerant in an outdated system.Basically the only thing they did is everything I already tried in the AutoZone parking lot.When they called me and told me they had it converted but they can’t get the AC compressor pump to kick on I was confused.When I arrived and realized they had not replaced anything except threaded on $15 adapter fittings that I already tried.Essentially I was charged $500 for the same thing I already did it AutoZone which is why I called them I assume they would take it to the next step and actually upgrade my system to the new refrigerant.When I picked up my car they said they didn’t have time to diagnose why the pump wasn’t kicking on and they had already filled my old system with refrigerant that doesn’t work with this old AC compressor pump I mean it says right on the AC compressor pump.I didn’t know I had to tell them how to do their job.Very friendly but in my opinion very incompetent.I took my vehicle to a different shop and they replace the AC pump like I thought I’ll Hass was going to do.Needless to say I Feel taken advantage of.I am very mechanically inclined and I knew what needed to be done I just don’t have the available tools and time to do it myself.I won’t make this mistake again and I’m leaving this review hoping that nobody else will either.I was pretty much charge to diagnose what I already knew and told them. When what I really wanted them to do was to upgrade the system so it would take the new AC refrigerant.Their solution was to continue to put old refrigerant into an AC compressor pump that’s not compatible with. After I told them my system is not compatible according to the clean air act and I need an upgraded system.

We deal with a lot of different business in the US. I had some exhaust def problems with my chev duramax. Called and seen if they could check it out and fix it. I was from out of town and coming through for business. The truck was dropped off on a Thursday at 11:00 and I needed to pick it up afternoon on Friday to get home. They said they would check it out and try. Everything was very up front and clear on the costs. We all know there is vehicle maintenance problems that are not the shop’s fault. Cassie, and Al, commuted the issues and I approved the work. They did what they could with the time frame giving and I made it back home without any problems. The earned the five stars on the whole process. Not once did I feel that they where trying to pull a fast one. I am not a person to give out good reviews unless they earned it. Thanks to all the help with my problems on my chev duramax. One other point is the charges we very fair. Nice job!!!!

The first time I went here, years ago, it was a nice place. I have been to different locations and after an experience with an unhappy worker in Bellevue who lashed out at me because I told an old lady that the shop (Discount Tires) down the street will fix a flat tire for free. That was a few years back. As luck would have it my son decided to go there for an oil change. We compared receipts. About $15 more for an oil change and then they upsold him an air filter for probably double the cost he could have bought it for.

I very seldom leave on line reviews, but all I can say is Im very disappointed in the communication between 1st and 2nd visit in Green Bay.

We were driving to go visit a family member out of town and as soon as we got to Green Bay, a sound started to happen. It was so loud and caused us some panic.We found the closest auto shop near us and asked if they could help. The front receptionist was super kind, very nice and professional and checked to see if a tech was available. It was 4:45pm and they were getting ready to close for day.Jon the tech came out with a nice smile, cheerful attitude and said he would check it out. He drove it, heard the noise and decided to take it into the shop and put it up to see what was going on.No less than 5 minutes he came out and showed us what had happened. He made it safe for us to drive back to Sheboygan for our regular mechanic to work on it and didn’t charge us a thing! Thank you Jon for your help and thank you to Al Huss Auto & Truck Repair for being able to help us in a time of need!Safety was their top priority!

Took 5 days to get a oil change and to diagnose a bad belt. Maybe they had alot of work to do.

Al Huss and John and his team at the GB location were excellent. We took in our Dodge Ram for some fairly sizable repairs.The communication, professionalism, and follow up to ensure we were satisfied was outstanding!

I brought my vehicle to Al Huss for an oil change a few months ago and it was a great experience. The environment was comfortable and the staff was extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable. Not only did they change my oil, but also performed a bumper-to-bumper inspection and let me know what other concerns they had. On top of it all, the price was $10 less than I was used to paying at other places. I highly recommend Al and will continue using them in the future. 5 stars from this guy.....great job!

What a great repair shop! Clean and tidy inside. Very friendly reps that are easy to talk to about your car troubles. Fast inspection and repair. I only have nice things to say about Al Huss Auto. I bottomed out my little car and knew something cracked or broke loose. They found the problem and were able to repair it without having to order parts. (woohoo!!) Im planning on keep my car a very long time and feel good knowing I have a local shop to count on.

First time customer, quite pleased.

This place has the worst customer service and not knowledgeable about cars at all. My husband which is a self taught mechanic knew more about what was wrong about the car then they were. I brought my SUV there to get it fixed my husband told them the problem and they had been pulling our leg to even look at it. They kept telling us that they were going to look at it they had my vehicle for about a month before they told us what was wrong with it when my husband told them the exact same thing and said that they could not fix it that we needed to get a new motor and wanted to charge us 8000 to fix it. They tried to tell my husband he didnt k ow what he was talking about. The only reason we brought it there be ause my husband didnt have time to work on it because of work. We ended up towing it back home and he worked on it and fixed the problem anyways. Look at that, car did not need a new motor and runs just fine. Make sure you get a second opinion before having g them do anything to your car

Today our window came off track... other places couldn’t get to us without just dropping the vehicle off... called this shop and he told us to come in and he would see what he could do. They were all very nice, positive, and smiley! Even offered to let us loan one of their vans if need be.. very great experience! Fixed up our vehicle for us and kept on everything as we waited (claims and whatever else they needed to do). I highly recommend this shop!

This business, in my opinion is top notch. I have only been there twice and I plan to return in the future. It is clean,staff are attentive to your needs and professional. I wish I had known of this business earlier.

Called for a ballpark quote for a specific problem, if I was to have them fix it. She could not and would not give me a quote and said I had to bring it in. Why would I bother bringing it there, if I couldnt even get an estimated cost. Waste of time.

I just got off the phone with them 9:15 a.m. on October 27th. I asked them to give me a quote for a transmission and what it would cost to put in they said they would not be able to do it without having the truck there this is terrible service said Im not going to tow the truck there to just get an estimate I cant believe these people

My wiper blades were smearing the water, obstructing my vision. I renewed the wiper blades several times but the problem persisted. During our BNI meeting, Al Huss Cassie Elbe (Green Bay East location) suggested a treatment with AquaPel. A few days later I had them do the treatment and....... I Can See Clearly Now! A big THANKS Cassie.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Absolutely pathetic service and even worse customer service. Al Huss cost me $658 and 5 months without cruise control. Rob Brosig at Dorsch Ford(Highly recommend him) was finally able to get my cruise control enabled in my BCM after months and several diagnostic scans at many different shops around town. Come to find out while my truck was at Al Huss to recalibrate the speedometer for larger tires, they disabled my cruise control in my BCM, accidental or not. When I went back to give Al a chance to make it right, I ended up with Al himself and his manager Dave, screaming in the lobby of his shop. Al never offered anything in return, and would not admit to their mistake. His customer service is hands down the worst I have ever seen. I would never bring anything I own back to them and suggest you dont either

Mixed experienceI would love to give 5 stars, but i cannotPROS: I made an appt for an exhaust leak repair.There was no waiting around, they started on my car as soon as i signed in. The waiting room is nice and clean and I met with Al the owner who is also a nice person.he had his mechanic test drive and then examine the car and gave me an estimate close to $300. But i told him my carhad over 200k miles, and it ran fine, but that i may be selling it and therefore wanted to fix it cheaply.I had examined the leak myself at home and found it was a clean break in front of a flange about 4 feet before the muffler . I could see that if i had the flange removed,and then had a splice pipe installed, that should be the cheap fix . But i dont have a tool to cut out the flange, so that is why i went to see AL. So after AL gave me the $300 estimate, i showed AL an Online printout of the whole exhaust system, and showed him the break near the flange,(he agreed that is where the break was located) and I asked him if he could just remove the flange and install a splice? He said yes. So that is what he did, and the car was as quiet as a mouse again for about $85================================CONS: Before doing any work, the mechanic did a courtesy inspection (good), which included a test drive (dont know why, because it was obvious there was an exhaust leak). So after the test drive and before starting he exhaust repair, the mechanic told AL that i have a loud knocking in the engine and there was also oil leaks in the engine compartment. I told AL this is completely UNTRUE, that i drive my car every day since 013 and take very good care of it and that there is NOT any engine noise at all, and I do my own oil changes every 3k mile, and park in a garage every day, and have absolutely no drips under my car at all. So in my opinion the mechanic NEEDS TO GET HIS EYES AND EARS CHECKED.BTW AL and i went to the parking lot after the work was done, he started the car and opened the hood, and he said I dont hear any loud engine noise, i dont know what the mechanic was talking about?(at that time AL shouldve brought the mechanic to the parking lot to listen to the motor and explain what why he complained about my quiet car !) Then we took it for a test drive (AL drove) and AL said this car runs and sounds great So my suggestion is that if you get the same feedback from their mechanic, ask AL to bring you out into the garage immediatelyand have the inept mechanic to show you exactly what he is complaining about.Or leave and get a second opinion somewhere else?My other mechanic does exactly that. He will examine the car, then walk me out to the garage while the car is up on the lift, and he will show me what needs fixing. I like it that way.Also the whole job took 2 hours, i think it couldve been done quicker.
