The hippie guy is full of misleading knowledge. He will also charge you for things you dont buy so always double check your receipt! I highly recommend going somewhere else or ordering online

I came here, only knowing how alcoholic fermentation works from a biology textbook. Eric was very knowledgeable about how to ferment in practice. He helped me make my first batch of mead, which I made for a college history project. Not only did the knowledge he passed on to me result in a wonderful five gallons of mead, it also resulted in a 100 on my project. 10/10 would recommend.

An akward location and challenging to get to. Staff appear to be fairly well versed in most Homebrew topics, and well as welcoming and helpful. Supplies are often better than other stores in Greensboro, but thats saying more about other stores lack of inventory. If I need a supply quick, theres usually a 50/50 chance they have it.

Loved the selection, and the man in the store was very knowledgeable! I definitely felt like the inventory has been sitting a while because of the dust settled on most things, but I’m going to clean my bottles and things anyway before we use it 👍 a little dusting would make this place awesome!

I was very pleased to see the new improved kombucha corner. They have the kombucha Bible for sale as well as starter kits, brewing vessels, etc. Nice!

Ken will immediately make you feel welcome! I love to make wine and there’s always a good supply of quality ingredients, wine kits and supplies priced reasonably. More importantly, if I have any questions Ken is always available to answer or assist in any way possible.My husband and I participated in the beer making demo and we both loved the experience, not to mention we could drink the beer that was made from the previous beer demo class; cheese making will be next on our agenda.I highly recommend Triad Homebrew to anyone seeking to purchase beer and wine supplies.

Everytime I go in I get far more than expected(in a good way). I leave with either more gear or much needed knowledge. Have never had a negative experience here, and will continue to shop. Prices are a little higher than the online guys, but you get better customer service and support local.

They use to have the best selection of grain and hops but the last two time they were out of essential brewing ingredients (munich, vienna malts and citra hops...etc). Most staff is very helpful and nice but some have condescending attitudes, I’m sorry “hazy dry hopped brews are killing you” so i won’t give you anymore of my money for ingredients so you don’t have to see another hazy recipe, definitely lost a customer with comments like that.

They offer brewing classes that are great for beginners and those with some experience - especially if youve been thinking about moving from kits to all grain brewing! They have cheese making classes, too!The staff are friendly and knowledgeable - the store is well stocked - if you are lucky Ken may be in the shop to help you. My husband and I took the wine making class from Ken. We learned so much, he was very helpful and answered all our questions. It really got us excited about make our own wine. I feel confident that he will help us along the way whenever needed. I highly recommend Triad Homebrew to anyone starting out or for supplies if you are experienced.

We just started brewing about a year ago, and all though its been somewhat easy...occasionally well run into something during the brewing or fermentation process that demands professional help. Anytime I have called or walked in the store with questions they have always been more than happy to help in any way. On top of that, the fresh ingredients they have for sale in the store are by far top shelf stuff. Weve ordered our ingredients from several different brewing sites over the last year, but after getting our goods from Triad Homebrew Supply for the last 6 or 7 brews...well never go or order anywhere else. Great place to get tips and gear. Im a novice brewer, and have picked their brains several times and recieved good advice. They have an extensive inventory of everything Ive ever wanted. Theyre my first choice for brewing supplies in the Greensboro / Triad area.

They are amazing as usual.. I recommend the beer brewing class it was very informative and he even cooked brats for us! Very highly recommended by many of my home brew friends!!

Stopped by at 12:50 on Sunday because it said they were open. Hours on the door showed they were open until 2. THEY WERE CLOSED! No response to phonecall or message. I will be going elsewhere unless theres a good reason for this

I have been to Triad three times. Customer service was great the first time (I wish I could remember that ladies name) and pretty good the second time. Today was a different story all together. The associate was very smug. Everytime I have been the store has been dirty, grain selection has been soso but not stored in a manner that keeps it fresh. The hops are old. On the note of old, the yeast is either close to expired or way expired but they will try to convince you that is ok. If you like using fresh ingredients this is not the store for you. I hate to do it but I am going back to ordering my stuff online.

This is the only place I will be purchasing my home brewing ingredients and equipment from here on out! I recently needed help repairing my kegerator and called Triad Homebrew to see if I could bring it in and get a quote on what needed replacing. Not only did Ken allow this, but he mentioned that if I was not able to make it in during office hours, he would OPEN THE SHOP UP FOR ME PERSONALLY to work around my schedule! I have never experienced an employee willing to sacrifice their personal time to assist me and I was sold.When I thought the service couldnt get any better, it did! Ken met with me and was very patient in explaining what was wrong with my equipment. It turned out that many of my parts didnt need replacing and could be fixed with simple cleaning. I could have spend over $100 on replacement parts and Ken found a way to save me money when he could have suggested purchasing unnecessary equipment. For this, I will never go anywhere but Triad Homebrew!

This place was absolutely fantastic. I got a Livingsocial coupon from my parents for a homebrewing demo, and it was one of the best afternoons I have spent this Winter Break.Having just turned 21, I was of course very curious about the brewing process and how one could do it on their own. By coming here for their Homebrewing demo, I learned not only about how the cooking process worked, but the chemistry behind beer and how to brew in a variety of ways. Ken(The owner) was not only patient and willing to educate, but very generous in his teachings and his own personal brew. We prepared the beer and grilled brats/enjoyed a nice Scottish ale in the downtime between brewing steps, making the whole experience very enjoyable and welcoming.I come back to Greensboro in January for school, and I am sure that Triad Homebrew Supply will be a frequent stop for when I am able to take time to sit back, relax, and enjoy a nice afternoon of beer brewing.
