I had a great experience here today! This isn’t my first time going to this guitar center as I went there for strings and picks which was met with a very helpful employee who helped me pick out the right items. Today I went there for a new guitar and I was very pleased! Great selection of acoustic and electric and everything in between! Also great options for every price range. Met with great employee help and Greta atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Oh, I can not say enough good about Guitar Center. They bought back my deceased husbands musical equipment without a hassel and gave me a good price. They treated me as though they were Angels in disguise. Superior, empathatic service. Caring, compassionate. They eased my grieving.

Young man at the counter where keyboards were, made a comment when my husband asked a question when he was asked by another employee, are you listening to what he is asking, and the young man says, no I am not listening.:Before that he told the 3 employees standing around that he didnt want to be there and they could work and make all the money. Very unprofessional.Will not be back.

The best place for guitars, but a great selection of percussion, speakers, mixers, etc. as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the selection of used as well as new guitars provided a good range of prices. My favorite part is the Zildjan shrine in the percussion room.

Great customer service. They were very helpful with all questions and helped me pick the perfect digital piano to fit my familys needs and accessories for perfect set-up. Amazing experience. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing about equipment for voice acting. The staff member I believe his name was Brennan walked me through the process and showed me everything I needed. He gave me options that fit my budget and was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Customer service lacks at this location. Its always a struggle to get employees (who would rather chit chat with their coworkers, than actually do a job they are paid to do. Its always feels like Im an inconvenience to them. I have posted this same review on their Facebook page just to have it removed. I never received a follow up. Must have been busy that day too.

Bought a cordless microphone for church service tomorrow. Even though it was one of the least expensive, when I had to bring it right back their customer service was outstanding. Bo and the first gentleman I talked to were awesome. They treated me as tnough I has just spent a million. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being very satisfied I would rate this store 20.Blessings. Unfortunately there was only 1 left handed guitar I could find. This has been a trend for many years at every GC Ive ever been to. No LH basses, which is what I was looking for. Only 1 left handed mid-range electric guitar. So needless to say, if youre left handed, order a guitar on your own.

The rep Liam Niles has horrible customer service. They have stuff placed in the wrong section and prices off. He never acknowledge the mistake and talk to me like a I was stupid. Everyone else was great. If you wanted be treated with respect. Avoid Liam!!!

I went in to browse around (kill time). They do have a wide selection of guitars, strings, etc., but in looking at some of the other items - percussion, piano stands, etc., nothing is priced. Its irritating to have to find some to see a price. So I left.

Online inventory doesn’t match what is in-store. Worst customer service ever. We were never approached and asked if we needed help while every other customer was. Probably because we were the only Latinos in there. Took our money elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Even while strictly adhering to COVID-19 occupancy and sanitation guidelines, the gentlemen at this location provided top-notch customer service. All my questions were answered expertly, and I got the gear I needed, both in store and shipped to my door. If youre ever looking to buy any musical equipment or instruments this is your place. I went here in search of a drum pad for my son, mind you Im a mom with no idea what exactly that was...lol. However the staff was so patient with me, taking their time to explain the difference between ever item and helping me select the best item. They made sure as the parent I understood how to operate the equipment and what all it required. They even told me what other things were compatible with the item I bought. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The VA beach Guitar Center is one of the better stores. Great set up and great selection. I will say the folks at the Greensboro store seem to be the most friendly of the ones Ive been to but the people at the VA beach location are great as well. Helped me do a lot of Christmas shopping and fuel my love of music. I do hope they can hang on in this business with so much change taking place. Its hard to try out a guitar online.

First, Ami was very pleasant and helped me pick out what I needed as an unknowledgeable person. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 was because of incredibly pushy they are to buy their protection plan. I must have said no 10 times. I told Ami a few times. Then the so-called customer service manager came over and tried over and over. Really tested my politeness. Then he said fine, Ill gladly sell you one at full price again. Then he tried again to sell me and then walked away without a word. You would think I pooped in their cereal the way he acted. I suspect their pay is based somewhat on this protection plan. Anyway, Ami should be in charge of customer service, not the other yahoo.*** Follow up. I have not been back at all, much less to buy what they wanted me to purchase a protection plan for. I’m still annoyed with that guy so I changed to 2 stars from 3.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My father in law and I went to this location with full intent to get a guitar (on fathers day no less) we were immediately yelled at to put masks on or leave. Then when we obliged and were finally allowed to enter the store we were then told we couldnt handle any of the guitars until a team member had sanatizedthem. Then the real kicker. When my father in law went to adjust his mask a team member ran towards us and said keep the mask on or go. This is unacceptable and we will not be returning here. Thank you team members youve just lost some more business.

If I could give this store negative stars I would! Buyer beware. This was probably the worst retail experience I’ve ever had. Let me say this,I don’t typically complain or write negative reviews. I went in the store today because I ordered a 700.00 guitar and all that goes with it last week for my husband’s 25th anniversary gift. Needless to say he was excited. When we originally went in the store we went as a family. I have a hearing impaired child and a son with sensory issues. So typically we only wear masks when absolutely necessary. My husband and I wore ours, but the kids did not. We received the guitar that was supposed to be a Lefthanded Fender. Not only was it a cheap guitar it was right handed. I called and they were not overly friendly, but informed me I needed to return the guitar that I received to the store. They would refund me and recharge my card to order me another one. Of course my refund to my card would take days. No offer of expedited shipping or anything. I was frustrated, but headed in anyway. As I entered the store I was abruptly greeted with a man shoving a mask in my son’s face.(I had a mask on) I tried to explain he was 10. I did not want to embarrass him by explaining why else he doesn’t wear a mask He very aggressively told me we would not be allowed to enter the store. So we complied since it would be a quick refund and reorder. While in the process at some point my son lowers his mask beneath his nose. The man approached my child and told him to pull up his mask or he would remove him from the store. He did not speak to me he went straight for my kid! I told him we were almost done and to leave my kid alone because the mandate does not require him to even wear a mask. He basically threatened to throw both of us out and said his corporate gives him the authority to do so. I guess HIPPA laws don’t apply here. Anyway I said we would be glad to leave and returned all the items we had purchased. By the way this was the manager the entire time. This is a sad world we live in when a company has such disrespect and disregard for their customers. I guess my 1200.00 purchase and guitar lesson for 3 people isn’t a good enough reason to be kind. We’ll buy elsewhere. Nate is the manager. I hope he never has a kid with special needs. What a loser!

Came in and was browsing for a new electric guitar and ended up buying a Jackson. I got it restrung and brought it home and over the next few days some issues started cropping up. I brought it back in to see if it would be easily fixable and unfortunately it wasnt. But with all the issues with the guitar, the employees were ultra helpful and let me return the guitar no questions asked as well as refunded the set up. I ended up buying a different guitar, but am grateful to the employees there being so understanding and helpful.

Guitar Center Winston Salem: Do not go there for repairs. Took my guitar in for string replacement by the time all was said and done it was $102 worth of repairs on a student guitar. I agreed on a $49 maintenance but they said they found more issues. Did not contact me before fixing and added another $30 to my bill. Not cool!

The Greensboro Guitar center has not only an excellent selection of guitars, keyboards drums, but also has a some of the best sales and management folks are going to meet.From the sales people on up you get a personal touch. Everyone will take the time to listen to your interest and needs and try to help you find what youre looking for.They have a huge selection of new and used gear.Buying used equipment can be scary!GCS generous return policy, 45 days I think gives you peace of mind not only to use the equipment but let it sit and pick it up, after the excitement of the newness has faded.Sometimes used equipment may have a problem the store didnt know about when they sold it to you, thats where this management team in Greensboro shines.They understand that customer satisfaction is the goal. they will work with you to figure out how to solve your problem with your purchase if possible or help you with your return.I found that this team was professional,knowledgeable and very good at making sure every customer walked out satisfied.

We were shopping for a few audio cables for my wife, who is a professional singer. I was denied entry with my wife and 2 children because I cant wear a mask due to a medical condition. I asked specifically if I was being denied entry due to my condition, just to be sure. I was told yes, I could order curbside pickup. This particular store has always left me wandering around (pre-covid) with no real attempt to help and any questions Ive asked of a technical nature were often met with confusion or lack of knowledge. Guitar Center is probably next on the chopping block for outdated brick-and-mortar businesses, thanks to poor customer service and ridiculous prices. If we could have waited a couple days for the cables we needed, we would have ordered online.
