Delicious! What more can I say?A bit pricey for ice cream, but well worth it. We got quite a bit of food. Esquites, churros, and ice cream. The glass mug from my Pecan Smackdown is now my souvenir.Only negative was the floors were extremely sticky in the entire restaurant...And the small churros are hard. The churro loop in the ice cream is delicious though.
I got one guava and one strawberry “filled” churro. All I’ll say is I’m not sure if they were supposed to be cold and hard but they were.. also I say filled in quotes because as you can see “filled” is a bit of an exaggeration. My partner got the mango king with chamoy adrenaline. To me her mangos were well under ripe but she said they were always like that and she liked them. Overall I gave them a 2 she gave them a 4 so I split the difference
This place is overrated! The wait is NOT worth the low quality food and drinks. I am Hispanic !! You can make this stuff at home. Very disappointed. Also I waited over 40 minutes for a drink and esquite. Three people passed me getting their orders. When I asked about it the manager asked me what I ordered and couldn’t find the receipt. I had to reorder everything. This place is not worth it! I spent $30 on two things and it wasn’t even good.
The milkshakes, churros, and popsicles at Lucha Libre are phenomenal! The presentation itself is unlike any other ice cream place I’ve ever been to. My family and I were completely overwhelmed with all the options, but it was in a fun way which led us all to get different milkshakes and share. Our only qualm was the price. While the presentation is quite incredible, we paid $13 for an average sized shake. We also had to wait quite a while before our order was ready.Overall though, I would certainly recommend Lucha Libre, especially if you’re looking for something fun and different.
Unique and amazingly different ice cream and treat shop. We stopped in to check it out while visiting our niece at Guilford College. So many different flavor combinations and frills like whipped cream, spices, churros fixed anyway you like and syrup syringes all in one treat! Shop also has non-dairy options and plenty of seating. You have to give it a try!
I thought this place was pretty good. The staff were pretty friendly, and the presentation of the food was amazing! One of my complaints has to be that there are way TOO MANY options to choose from, it’s actually very overwhelming. Also, the flavors aren’t labeled very clearly, so it’s hard to know what ice cream you’re getting with the names.I thought it tasted pretty good, although it did take them quite some time to make it. The pricing was a little high too for the amount that they give you, but overall it was a fun experience. I’ll probably be back to try more flavors.
So many flavors and options to choose from! We had such a great experience here a Lucia Libre. My family and I tried the crispy churros. They were made fresh to order and coated with cinnamon sugar! I wish they had a regular fried churro option! Although it was delicious I would prefer a little less crispy!! Definitely going back with my family! It’s not a every weekend spot but every once in a while type of trip to make with a group of people. I captured some good pictures and I think you may think it’s pricey but I found it worth the experience!
The ice creams are quite delicious and the presentation is awesome and the churros are good, but $13 for one is pretty high. I also Had to wait over 25 minutes for mine to be prepared Despite them just opening because the girls in the back kept dropping stuff. There was a family in the front of the line who couldn’t decide what they wanted, and instead of canceling their order and making them come back when they’ve made up their minds, the cashier made the rest of us wait for them to be ready.
Drove all the way from Durham to check this place out. This place is pretty popular and it was packed when I got there. The order time is a little long but let’s take in consideration that each item is crafted beautifully so it was fine by me! I got their milkshake and it was soooo good! Not too thick, not too milky. Their milkshake gave me the opportunity to try their churros and they were also veryyy good. If you want something sweet definitely check this palace out. They also have fresh juices, coffees and other treats.
Ive visited Lucha Libre on several occasions but the last two times Ive went I go and they dont have the fresh fruit drinks in stock. Only once have I been able to get the mango. I asked to speak with the owner but was refused and instead got a manager who called me buddy profusely. Sat and argued with me for several minutes. Telling me that its random what they have available. The menu obviously means nothing. First things first Im not your buddy or your pal Im a paying customer. I had my nametags on visible front and center you can address me as sir or my name not buddy. Former one for sure but Im still a paying customer. I dont appreciate nor will I tolerate your poor customer service skills. You obviously havent found out how to create a positive guest experience. I hope you learn how to do that before its too late. Also were currently under a mask mandate but you arent requiring customers to wear a mask or social distance despite your signs on the door. If you wish to reach out you can contact me.
Great atmosphere. Friendly customer service. Something different.
The family and myself have been to Lucha Libra on three different occasions. Each time was a good experience and we enjoyed the ice cream and churros that we got. Anyone that hasnt been should go at least once, its worth the trip.
Stumbled upon this place via Tiktok and have loved it ever since! We live about 45 minutes away and gladly drive to enjoy these creations. Staff is super friendly and glad to help you figure out whats what. Churros are made fresh, and so are the waffle cones! If you cant tell I highly recommend this place. Im lactose intolerant and this is the first time Ive gotten ice cream somewhere and not hated myself for the next 3 days. You have to try this place at least once!
Best ice cream, churros, exquisite and strawberry horchata around!!!
In town for business and needed a little sweetness. This place hit the spot!! Great atmosphere and faster then expected due to how packed it was. Dont miss the opportunity to stop by when you are nearby.
We came out today for the first time cause we kept seeing Facebook ads for this place. The employees were super nice and helpful explaining all the different flavors and options. I got the strawberry ice cream with a chocolate ice pop. It was so good. The ice pop wasnt very sweet at all but it went perfectly with the delicious ice cream. This place is quirky and fun and I think it was worth the money for a tasty product thats made in house! Getting to watch them make is is an extra bonus. There was plenty of seating as well. Cant wait to go back!
We had to wait 30 minutes for our order.I ordered the: Nutellas smackdown the Giant and churros. The milkshake... honestly it is not what I expected. It looked just like the photo but it was WARM, (it supposed to be a shake, so, cold, right?)... but 30٪ of the top was whip cream. When you are paying 13 dollars for a milkshake you expect to be a good one.The liquid part which is the actual shake... was not tasty at all.I am giving 1 star for the churros, these actually were fresh and good.I dont think we will come back to Lucha libre because of the wait, long drive and of course because of the warm milkshake.
Me and my family came July 26. it was our first time. we kept hearing and seeing the ads online about this location. I decided we should go and try it out we drove all the way from Winston to Greensboro to come and taste it. We had a great experience our cashier he was nice it was an older gentleman he answer all our questions about the products. It took us over 15 minutes to decide what we wanted...... 1st The prices wow!!! were a little pricey we got a KING Mangonada, a watermelon popsicle ( paleta de sandía) Nutella giant smackdown and 2 tamarindo popsicle (paletas) 2 drinks so bring extra money bc a family of 4 you will likely cost you $40. In my opinion I think that it must be pricey because if you get anything in a mason jar that’s pretty much half of the price for the cup, but it’s a cool Souvenir to take home. 2nd I give props to them because everything with the COVID-19 they have limited seating arrangements So it was kind of hard to find a table to sit at, but very understandable with this pandemic to try to find a seat. we had to wait until A family got up to sit all four of us. 3rd was an downside it took us almost 15 minutes for our desserts to get finish we were not pleased with the timing we just had simple items that should not have taken too long to make. 4th very upsetting The company need to work on getting a speaker to call the number out “Please” or and lower the music to be able to hear as we are writing this review we have gone 3 times already to the location and is still having the same problem hearing the numbers being called out. many people were waiting for like 20 minutes to get there treats. And so many stuff is left out on top of the counter because the people cannot hear the numbers being called out.!!!!!! Our 3rd experience was we can August 8 it was so packed the line was out the door. We waited like everyone else when we got an available The table was so dirty we told his staff member if they can come clean the tables. no one came out to clean it we had a sit at a dirty table The entire time. I guess they were low on staff because there was only two girls doing service one guy at the register and one guy making churros. This was around 5pm. And again the number ticket calling was a problem there should be a way of organizing this issue. My son wanted 1 churro and they wouldn’t sell me 1 individually I did not want to pay for a whole batch so be mindful of that deal. Other than that our experiences have been well the treat and ice cream taste well the employees were so nice and friendly. I did love the fact that you can see through the glass when they are making it your Treats. The facility was very clean. very decorative. Definitely will be a repeated customer. Our favorite so far is the “Giant Nutella” . Todo era delicioso gracias.. Please work on getting on speaker ☺️
First time I went, my churros were cold and didn’t taste fresh at all and I said no coconut and I repeated it to the lady and she was like well it’s kinda to late but I specifically asked no coco. I drove long ways to get there. But overall my family’s desserts looked great. 👍
Spellman Summer Ice Cream:Lucha Libre Ice Cream & ChurrosMy thoughts:This is the place you go when you have a lot of time to make your choice and a lot of money. Its pricey! I warned you.I think its also such an experience that if you wanted to do this once or even once or twice a year, you couldnt be blamed. We basically had no idea what exactly we were ordering but there were pictures so we just went with it. My youngest and I shared because I just couldnt imagine trying to eat this alone. It came with ice cream, a giant churro, a candy bar on a stick, whipped cream, an actual syringe of chocolate syrup you inject into cup and sprinkles and I am pretty sure I now have diabetes but what a glorious way to go.(I didnt like the amount of waste involved in this treasure trove of sugar though) Oh and there is no tidy way to eat this, but so delicious just let it get you messy
I wish that there was a zero ⭐!! My family was visiting from out of town last week and had preselected this place as one of our foodie stops. It was not busy and yet we waited at least 5 minutes to be waited on. While waiting I asked the young man behind the counter about sizes for the children. The owner then came to the counter and began to take our order. He said that he would not be able to sell the Nutella ice cream in a kids size. I told him that the young man had just told me that they did. He respondedHes not the owner! And that sometimes he did sale the flavor in small sizes. What?!!! So you would ratherlose out on a minimum of $60 (because the ice cream is overpriced at $10/ person being the lowest price) and only a few flavors to select from to begin with, then to sale a small size to a child on this particular day?? You lost the business of 7 people over 1 small size Nutella 😡🤔Good luck with your business.
This place is absolutely great! I got the mangonada, and the pineapple chile popsicle was easily the best popsicle Ive ever had. The staff was kind and helpful as I had no idea what to order lol. I definitely recommend and would go as far as to say it could be a highlight to your stay in greensboro.
Came here for the first time. I love the vibe and options they have. The best, hope you guys grow and open up more around :)
I had the pleasure of trying the ice cream through a work event. I got coffee with chocolate, coconut and almonds. It was fantastic.I want to try the churros! The staff was so pleasant and patient as I looked over the options. Fruit, cream, coffee and the toppings. Oh my! So many combinations to try. Many flavors of ice cream and I prefer nuts in mine#OhMomGod #MomInShaMan #SupportSmall #SupportADream
Menu is really overwhelming, the amount that you get for the price is not really worth it. The person at the register ended up adding additional items to the order that I did not ask for, I noticed until I left that they had added a cookie and some odd shot thing to an ice cream cone I ordered which I thought was really disappointing. Overall the flavor is good but they might want to check their business practices and menu options.
Fabulous, family friendly atmosphere. The menu options are fun and it was a wonderful family experience.
Ice cream flavors were good. Churro is hard here - not so pleasant. Nutella Milkshakes comes with a small Nutella Bottle that was EXPIRED. The Nutella bottles I got had expiry date of July 2021 (I am writing this review in Sept 2021). They have a lots of Nutella bottles but I assume they all are expired since when I complained about it they tried to look up a new Nutella bottle but could not find it. The Nutella Milkshakes didnt really taste like Nutella (maybe taste like Nutella when you add the contents of that small Nutella bottle). I ended up getting refund for milkshake. Please beware and check the expiry date for Nutella
One of the coolest ice cream spots in town!!! Awesome atmosphere and highly recommend to anyone!
Cool place and the staff is nice but I’ve been to this location about 4 times and the wait time was SUPER LONG. I get it, you get busy. I tried going on a less busy time. There was only one order of two milkshakes in front of me, and my order of TWO esquites and ONE milkshake STILL TOOK OVER 40 MINUTES. It’s not worth that long of a wait for its price.
Churros, ice cream, paletas (popsicles) and more! I thought the churros were a little overfried but the menu does say they are crispy so I guess thats the texture they are going for. This shop offers many dipping sauces for your churros. The amount they give you is extremely generous! The ice creams look delicious and the paletas look great as well. They also offer churro blizzards and churro hot dogs (yes a hot dog with 2 churros instead of a bun) The shop is very large and can accommodate many people. They also have unique decor with lucha libre items and a wall for social media pics. The service I received from staff was less than impressive but perhaps they were caught up in current events? Ill probably give them another try and check out the ice cream next time! Im sure kids would love this place!
Beverages are delicious but its a long wait time, usually more than 30 minutes and also its quite pricey. You will easily spend more than 20 bucks for 2 people. Also they charge you more for some extras that do not come included on the price listed but they add them anyway. For example the mangonada cost $11 but they add a chamoy shot and a cookie that will bring the price up some more.
Waited 32 minutes for two Mil Oreos orders. They do have signs saying to please be patient because they are understaffed and I completely understand. However the day I was there with my son, I counted six people serving and two customers in front of us waiting on orders.Late to my movie as well. Literally stopped and had 45 minutes to get to the theater. Minus the 13 minute drive I should have been in time.Highly disappointed since I was super thrilled being a pro wrestling fan. Like they say in pro wrestling “It’s all a work” and this place worked me into a shoot with this post.
BEST churros in town! Beautiful designs and tasty treats!
Im honestly disappointed I was so excited to try this place out because of all the hype. First they make you wait over twenty minutes for the order and the shakes are not all that. It was lacking flavor.. also the staff was not very friendly and they are extremely overpriced. I gave it three stars only because the churro was actually pretty good other than I won’t be back.
This place is great! Friendly staff amazing selection and the churros are phenomenal! It can be a little high in price but trust me it is worth it!!!
Loved the Churros. Great customer service.
Very bad just spend money and very small size cup no teast bad attitude cashir person plz no one go just weast money 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
This is too overpriced and the food ain’t even good like that ! I’m from CA and a dang churro is like $2 straight out the fryer and in a cup like $6 .. they really be hyping anything Hispanic out here and overpricing smh
We were super excited to finally try this place. First impression the floor and tables were filthy. We order 1 Nutella milkshake, 1 mango titan, 1 popsicle and 1 ice cream cone and its over 40 dollars! Then we had to get napkins and clean our own table of crumbs and sticky toppings as we wait 30+ minutes. We finally get our food and the Nutella milkshake was a huge disappointment. The milkshake was flavorless and the churro was extremely hard. I did enjoy the mango titan and the popsicle and ice cream were pretty good. Overall for the price and wait for what you get, its not worth it. Its a really cool idea but it seems execution is lacking. We may give it another chance when the Winston-Salem location opens since it will be closer. But I will not drive to Greensboro and chance that same experience.
Some things are way over priced. Churros are the only good thing in there
The ice cream is good the only thing is that the guy Josue added extra stuff too my order and CHARGED me for stuff that I didn’t ask for it was kind of disappointing to me. But other than that the ice cream is good. Just need to not add extra stuff that people don’t order.
Extremely slow, over cooked churros, and overpriced. waited over 30 minutes for 2 strawberry filled churros when there was only 1 other person in front of me, only got them because i asked for my money back.
I waited 21 minutes for 1 order of small churros. And the girl that worked there, she had gloves on moving floor mats then proceeded to the food area touching food equipment without changing gloves. The manager or cashier wasnt paying attention to what was going on with his staff and why I had to wait 21 minutes for an order. He was too busy having a 15 minute conversation with another customer . Customer service is a joke.
Amazing deserts!!! The churros are amazing. The ice cream is delicious. Very highly recommended!!
I absolutely love this place the ice cream is so good and the ice crystals in the ice cream are so small. Really great flavors. Love the fresh-made churros too.
Prepare to wait, but it is completely worth it!!! Fresh churros! I havent had churros this good since I lived out west. The staff are always so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. My family and I love this place! ❤
The churros are delicious but the staff makes you not want to come back including the manager they are NOT friendly and very shady they add things to your order that you did not even order such as that adrenaline shot now why would I want you to add a tube of Hersheys chocolate syrup to my cinnamon or plain vanilla icecream when I specifically asked for plain Ice cream no chocolate but twice once by the manager and once by an employee extra charges were made for a upsell we did NOT agree to we noticed the second time and have not been back since
This place is amazing. Fun atmosphere. We loved it. If you need a job in greensboro, they said they were hiring!
So good you will visit all the time because I know I will. Great customer service and amazing ice cream. The elote in a bowl is out of this world good.
Omg i wish I had taken pics of the shakes.Gorgeous presentation and a TON for the price!!!!
This place is awesome! Great place to take the kids and take photos on the flower wall. The churros are yummy and ice cream is worth the price! A must go to place with family, friends or lover.
Icecream was good. But when its time to leave we had some left overs and they didnt have covers. Then we asked for a second cup to cover the icecream and this guy said no. We spend 40 dollars on icecream and couldnt get something to cover the leftovers. Need to work on customer service after the customer pays.
Friendly staff, wait time is expected for the creativity. Ice cream, churros and esquites were delicious.
My milkshake was awesome and delicious, but my table wasnt entirely clean and the floor.
Amazing place to have a delicious treat. Though my mother was not pleased with one of the girls customer service, I was fine. I love the flowers on the wall with the logo!
Amazing!! This is soo delicious the place is nicely decorated and its a nice place to grab a dessert. Its authentic. The wait was a little long but its because they were full, they may need to hire more staff since the business is growing. But overall great experience the price is reasonable dont see why people complain. At starbucks I spend about 10 for a large drink and a pastry that isnt fresh. Here youre paying $2 more for a fresh churro on a large milkshake with toppings. Well definitely be returning 😊
One of my absolute favorite places! I hit this place for the first time one day last summer with my kid and her best friend when we got to town a few hours earlier than we needed to before going to FireStar Pro Wrestling. Bad nutritional decisions were made. I regret nothing.
The employees were really nice but its pretty expensive and the food isn’t all that great
The churros are amazing. Theyre made fresh and oh so crunchy and tasty. Their deluxe combos are so colorful and fun. An entire family pleaser for sure. I hear the line cab get long but we went Sunday at 12 and there was no line at all!
This was my first time visiting this establishment, it was pretty clean. I was not impressed with the stuffed churro, too expensive for what it is.However, the items are over priced, some of the staff were not wearing mask which was shocking to me. If you are serving food to clients, you need to wear a mask to protect your clients and staff. They were very slow serving the clients as well, not sure if we will be back but is was ok.
I will say this, this place is crazy busy. So packed when I went that people had to wait outside. So be prepared to wait A while. Above all that, the wait is well worth it! The treats are amazing! The experience is also something. They makes the churros right in front of you. They have a wide variety of treats to choose from.
I am a fan of plain ice cream but, Lucha Libre turned the notch up! Something about expresso, a waffled cookie, and mini churros mixed in ice cream was every bit of Awesomeness!!!! Really good!!!!
I love churros, ice cream, and all creative combination of favors that Lucha Libre comes up with constantly. It is a pleasant place to visit and to spend a good time with your loved ones, young or old. Everyone is accepted, welcomed to join the fun, and they always find more than one reason to come back. Im impressed with the large variety of poducts that theyve created and that are actually aligned with their theme, thus colonizing a new territory of flavors that have come to make our lives sweeter, tastier, and more comforting. Way to go, guys. Keep it up!
Very good ice cream! It’s a little pricey but it’s well worth it !
