I called Bill at the Vacuum Center around October of 2020. We were planning a new home and wanted central vacuuming installed. Vacuums are an investment. You want to make the right investment, you want your investment to last, and you want to know exactly in what you are investing.As we planned our build, Bill made himself available to answer questions. He steered me to a quality product and gave me what I needed to make the right choice. He dealt with me popping into the shop a couple of times to ask additional questions.Once we started building, Bill made it is easy to partner with him on scheduling, installation, and add-ons. He even hand delivered the central vacuum attachments. Others may have thrown them in a closet and left - leaving the vacuum to be used by other contractors before closing on the house.Vacuums are one of the last products where you can still buy a good ome and have it serviced for years. Family businesses like the Vacuum Center are integral to the community and the economy. I cannot speak highly enough of Bill and his team at The Vacuum Center.

I used this business to do a tune up maintenance on my Shark vacuum. I have owned this little vacuum for over 2 years (maybe owned longer). I should have had a tune up before now, but that is on me.The first person I enacted with was a man by the name of James. He was professional and efficient. My vacuum was ready one day earlier than I was told initially. When I picked up my vacuum, I was helped by Reggie. He was so helpful that I purchased additional products from the shop. Reggie was a southern gentleman and even put my vacuum in my Odyssey van for me.Oh and my little vacuum works like brand new. When they returned it back to me, it looked brand new as well. My vacuum was so clean that I didnt recognize it. I will be going back to this shop and I will not wait 2 years.Thank you both for your service. I appreciate you.

This is the only place in Greensboro where we can find our vacuum cleaner bags. We make a point of coming here rather than order online because this is exactly the type of friendly, down-home small business we love to support!

Was blown away by owner Bill. This is a family business and we recently bought a home in Oak Ridge and needed the central vac replaced. Bill contacted us and went over all the options and directed us on color options and types of dust vac pans and directed me thankfully away from problematic situations. He also installed several dust vac pans throughout the house. Very knowledgeable super trustworthy awesome nice human being. I trust this company Thank you Bill for all the great work and we are already enjoying using our new system central vacs Amazing!!!! Thankful!!!

Clean, reasonably priced and stellar customer service. The staff is super professional and helpful; there are a variety of products for every budget including amazing sales - and warranties! Recently called them about a replacement hose for my Dyson DC25 animal. They offered a compatible replacement which cost a little bit less than the OEM hoses Id been ordering thru Dysons website.Just got the hose swapped out and my vacuum really sucks now.😎Very pleased with their assistance and will definitely go back there first when I need replacement parts.Youve just won a new customer.

The gentleman who helped my mom was quick, efficient and courteous as well as knowledgeable about the issue she was having and how to avoid it in the future. It was an affordable fix and they had alot in their showroom for new appliances as well. The only reason I wont give a fifth star is because it did const something for a clog. Free is better ;)

I never write reviews but I have used this establishment for a few months and I absolutely love it! Reggie is always so polite, helpful, and knowledgeable with all of the products! He is extremely accommodating and his customer service is unmatched! 10/10 recommend!

Top notch service, friendly staff. They handled a warranty claim I had with the bissel crosswave. I had trouble with the replacement and they were willing to offer advice and possible solutions over the phone. I highly recommend the vacuum center.

I recently called The Vacuum Center with an issue with my central vac - it would not turn off. I cant say enough about the service! I spoke with Bill - he came out to my house (quite a distance!) within a few days. Diagnosed the problem - fixed - perfect!!!! I wish this kind of service was was the norm! Very, very impressed! Fixed our Hoover Wind Tunnel for a very reasonable price, a far better deal than buying a new vacuum. They were very courteous and professional. Well be back to rent an upholstery cleaner and to order parts for our Razor scooters. I didnt realize how much they offer. Im really happy theyre right in our neighborhood! Shop Local!

Great, friendly service at a reasonable price

I brought our Oreck Commercial vacuum (use in our home) to the guys here at The Vacuum Center after it stopped working. They were able to fix it in less than 48 hours, were extremely helpful, and knowledgeable! I recommend them 100% and will be using them again! I learned they also carry the bags there in the shop so no more ordering online. This service was done during Phase 1 of Covid. The shop was clean, had hand sanitizer available for customer use and had a partition up for checkout.

I came in to get a part for my Hoover carpet cleaner and experienced great service, thank you.

I really like this place. Have bought a new powerhead there and just today I bought a new central vacuum unit for my home after my old ones motor died. I find them very helpful and informative, and I feel like they take pride in the brands they carry, and select them based on performance. Prices seem reasonable and gave me installation tips. Very nice sales people who know their stuff. I wanted to post this review because there is one review here that brings them down which apparently is based on them being closed during a power outage. Thats not really the purpose for online reviews, but thats the world we live in. Check them out though, seriously.

Ive dealt with multiple staff members and all have been exceedingly professional and helpful; however, Bill Wilson brings with him an air of expertise unparalleled by anyone else. Though I know he does not handcraft vacuum cleaners and that this term does not fit perfectly, his understanding of and commitment to vacuums calls to mind an almost forgotten word: artisan. We are super pleased with The Vacuum Center! Dropped off our Electrolux vac to get worked on, they gave us a loaner vac to use until we figure out whats wrong with ours! We highly recommend them to anyone.

Knew just what part I needed and even gave me a loaner until mine is fixed. While there I saw a reconditioned vacuum just like mine (that I paid about $800 for new) for $200. Next time I need another vacuum I will go shopping there first. Thanks for great service Reggie!
