I went to Solomoto for a chain adjustment which I regret. The owner was nice in the beginning he took the bike inside right away, did the adjustment, and I paid $150 for it. When he finished I stepped foot on my bike heading up north on highway 95 back home and none of you will BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED. THE CHAIN CAME OFF MY BIKE. So this was the death of me and I don’t know how I survived. I thank god I didn’t even call him but I will get back to him with the bike towed.

I’m so glad I brought in my 1971 Honda CB-750!! I’m the original owner and after years riding it (crossing the United States 3 times) and many more miles in between and a number of years NOT riding, it needed some professional care. Carlos’s understanding of the machine is only surpassed by his work ethic. He did a magnificent job of bringing ALL the bike’s systems back up to par. Instead of listing all the work and attention he spent on it the result is that I now have a new- 50 year old bike!! My dear old friend is back on the road- I almost feel 50 years younger too.

The owner is nice and try to help and seems to know what he is doing and all that, but I brought my bike and left it there because of a problem with the clutch, we both knew that the problem was from there, I left the bike and came a few days later to see what he discovered, he said that he tried draining the clutch fluid and refilled it, and then after doing that he found out the there was a leak so he needed to replace a piece, so he told me that he already spent 2 hours doing that part of the job, and $100/hour so 2 hours of work $200 bucks just to discover what was wrong, the he told me that to finish the job it would be 1 hour more of labor plus the cost of the part, and he said that he was almost sure that it would no be more than $350 total. I felt that it was fair so I agreed. So today he called me in the morning to tell me that my bike was ready, I went there and then he charged me $395 for the rest of the job, so $595 total, when I told him about what he told me of the price, all he said was “I apologize but it took me longer than I thought”.I don’t have any complaints about his work, he did a good job and everything is working fine, but I also do business and negotiate with people since I’m a contractor, and all I can say is that if I give a price for a job and the job takes me longer than I planned, even is I don’t earn as much I only charged the people what I told them at the time we agreed for the job. But what he did to me charging me 1 extra hour of labor plus $100 more for the part that he bought seems a little bit unprofessional, I understand if the part cost more than he thought, but charging $100 more for one more hour of labor, it is kind of dirty. And I don’t say that he’s time is worthless, all I say is that in business sometimes you have to lose or not eat as much as you want in order to keep a costumer coming back and that costumer recommend you to new costumers, but it seems like this guy is not interested in that kind of relationship with the costumers.

Carlos @ Solomoto was a pleasure to work with. As a new BMW Airhead owner, he clearly outlined his work process before accepting the job (transmission rebuild, new tires, other miscellaneous) and routinely communicated with me throughout to ensure expectations were aligned for the end-product. He was very fair with me on pricing, especially when new minor issues appeared. I look forward to working with Solomoto in the future!

Recently had some work done by Carlos on my /5 airhead. The job ended up being slightly more than he initially quoted but Carlos did excellent work, communicated clearly as to why the job cost more and was willing to work around my schedule.I will be coming back next time I need work on my bike and would highly recommend this shop to anyone with a vintage BMW.

Great shop. It is the only Ohlins Certified service shop around, had my 2012 Triumph Speed Triple R forks and shock serviced. Carlos was very easy to work with and very accommodating. They work on pretty much everything new and old and have a lot of very cool machines inside. I definitely recommend giving them a shot, you wont be disappointed, and they are reasonably priced.

A jewel of a place. I was distracted just walking around the shop and looking over the memorabilia and the bikes in for service. I was provided an intelligent appraisal of my bikes problem and estimate (verbal and the cost was right on at pick up). Thank you Carlos and Phil. I recommend this shop to those who know or perhaps dont know what they need. You will be shown the proper path. I will be coming back with the other bikes of mine.

Cant say enough good things about this shop. Recently brought my bike there(first time) for a short list of items to be checked/repaired. when I dropped the bike off I knew it was in good hands. Carlos and Phil were friendly and helpful, and above all knowledgeable. There is a reason the shop is filled with beautiful motorcycles of all ages and various makes. This place has a great vibe and their work is top notch. By far not the closest option for me but well worth the trip.

I recently bought a 1972 Triumph Tiger that was on consignment at Carloss shop that he had serviced for years. Im in San Diego so i had no way to physically check it out. Carlos was very attentive & patient with my requests for information . He took the time to send me additional pictures and videos of the bike running, answered all my questions in a timely manner and pointed out things on the bike that the pictures did not show . His Yelp reviews were very good and I called a couple bike shops in the area where I heard nothing but good things about his business. When the bike arrived and I rode it for the 1st time it was just as he described it . Hes a stand up guy and I would highly recommend him .

Took my 2011 Honda Ruckus in for a 2,500 mile checkup. Up until that point, Id just kept air in the tires and changed the oil once per the manuals instructions. Had a few things that needed to be fixed, and I definitely found the right place to go at Solomoto. They tightened my brakes which I didnt even realize how loose they had come over the last 2 years, major improvement..They also replaced the screws covering the heat shield (which I forgot to put on the list when I dropped it off), and honestly, the Ruckus is riding like brand new. Carlos and Andy gave me a detailed explanation of the work they did afterwards, which was professional and appreciated. Definitely will be going back to these guys if I need any other work done...

I rode an hour to this shop on a whim to look at a motorcycle on Craigs List, and I am really glad I did, and not just because I ended up buying the bike. I discovered this hidden gem of a motorcycle shop, Solomoto. The owner, Carlos, projected a friendly, easygoing vibe from the get-go and the commitment to quality craftsmanship was readily apparent, from the condition of the premises and the attitude of the staff, to the array of bikes in the waiting areas and on the lifts. The customer bikes in for service ranged from normal daily rides to eye-poppingly cool exotics, from ancient to modern. The quality and condition of the rides told me that these werent owned by uneducated or naive owners - these people are passionate about their bikes - and by inference I assume they must trust Carlos and staff implicitly. The bike I bought is a beautiful classic, 28 years old and in excellent condition, for sale by the original owner. On this transaction Solomoto was just acting as a sales agent - meaning they handled advertising, storing, and showing the bike until it sold, and they confirmed that they had no previous maintenance relationship with the owner. Everything went smoothly and it was a pleasure all around. I would feel confident getting service or repairs done here, but dont underestimate how useful it can be to have someone store and be able to show your motorcycle for sale. It can be seen during regular motorcycle shop hours, which Solomoto keeps as 9-6 Tuesday through Friday and 9:30 - 4 Saturday. If you have ever sold a motorcycle on Craigs List you know how much of a pain it can be dealing with all of the, um, personalities. Its also hard for legit buyers to arrange to view bikes with owners that work long hours, and its frustrating for everyone when people dont show up or otherwise flake out. At the end of the process from what I saw it seemed like the owner appreciated Solomotos work selling the bike, and I know that I sure did. Ive bought a lot of motorcycles over the years, and the memory of this one feels like it will provide a warm glow for years to come. 5 Stars out of 5, would go back again!

If you have a vintage motorcycle or even if you dont but want personalized, attentive service, this is the place. I would not trust my vintage bike to anyone else but Carlos and the other guys at Solomoto. Carlos is very responsive and makes sure a repair is done right and with the right parts (event if they are difficult to source). He even picked up my bike on a day they were closed no questions asked. You cant get this type of service from a dealer. Plus most dealers dont know how to work on many of the vintage bikes or just cut corners. Highly recommend.

The shop came highly recommended by my friends. They had their vintage bikes as well as their sport bikes serviced by Carlos. I want to get an estimate to get my tires changed. I was expected a few day- maybe even a week, like other shops would do. Less than 24 hours later my tires were delivered and mounted on my Kawi. Their knowledge and their customer service was unbelievable. They not only made sure my tire was perfect, they even clean my bike and lubed the chain! These days its very difficult to find a good, honest shop. Once again, thank you guys! See you soon!

I am so sad to hear that some people want the easy way out and a quick buck, also i was judge because i drive a 1992 bike ....... just FYI not because i cant buy a new bike ....., I called in today to see if they could take in my 1992 Suzuki vx800 . I think something in the engine broke, was very rudely told you know what I think i want to stay clear from that ....... then he says with a condescending loud voice Its a 1992 what do you expect ....... very rare to had this encounter since i am a business owner in this Town and also a close neighbor to them guess not everyone is treated the same in this location .

After purchasing a 1977 BMW R100S, I wanted to find a shop local to where I work in Greenwich for convenience since I keep the bike up there. Turns out there was a great shop for airheads literally a mile away. I was blown away by the inventory of classic motorcycles they were working on(upon my first visit, there was an early 50s Vincent Black up on the lift). They went through a detailed top to bottom maintenance checklist on my bike that left me feeling secure in my ride. These guys are professional, really know what they are doing, and take the time to do a quality job. Feel super fortunate that there is a truly independent and local shop that I can trust. There is no other place like this in Westchester or Fairfield.

Came for a quick tire change after a nail puncture and Im quite positive I wont be going anywhere else for bike work again. The older vintage bike is definitely a speciality here and restorations are all over the shop in all sorts of conditions, very fun to see so many different older bikes. The best part about the experience was I was able to get a small job done without all the nonsense of a certain larger shop in Stamford. I rode up, and the bike was sorted and could ride away feeling stress free, which is what a simple fix should be, but sadly most shops will try to nickle and dime you for this sort of job. That is difinitely not the attitude here, as far from it as possible actually! So if you need any work on your bike done and want it done by someone that actually cares that its being done correctly, bring it here. You will not be dissapointed.

Great shop with a local feel! They have a small, friendly team and theyre located a few minutes walk away from the Port Chester MTA station and other bus lines.I ride a V Star 650 as an everything motorcycle - commuter, city, some interstate travel. When the time came, I dropped it off for service in the morning and picked it up that afternoon. I even had a goofy roadside incident and they came right over with a van! Overall, I highly recommend them - timely, professional and transparent way of doing things. In the NYC metro area there arent many small business motorcycle shops around, just large dealerships with whom Id rather not... deal (exceptions exist). Im glad these guys setup shop!
