Answered messages quickly, they returned phone calls, The were helpful and great to work with. They were responsive and provided customer service that you just dont get anymore. I was really struggling to find a company that would give ANY type of customer and then I found Glass Guru. I am so glad that I found them because all the other companies that ignored my phone calls and emails have been removed from my call lists. I found a company I feel confident with.

***25Jul2021 Update: After posting the review (below), we decided to update our review to 3 stars. We did hear from Dana who apologized and offered to put our full deposit ($1,250) toward the cost of the window replacement or offered us the full deposit back if we decided to go elsewhere. In addition, she provided us a 10% discount on the replacement for their mistake. Were still disappointed that we have a non-functional window at the moment and three months wasted on the project, but we feel the company is acting professionally in trying to rectify the problem. Wed like to continue to work with them and would like to update the review once the job is complete.***My husband and I are really unhappy with our experience with Glass Guru in Greenwood. Im very surprised by the great reviews because we experienced pretty unprofessional business practices. At the end of April 2021, we requested an estimate for our rotten basement egress window. We were told the cost of replacement for a double casement window would be much more than the repair and the estimator advised a repair. We went with that option, put $1,250 (50%) deposit down. They werent able to send a carpenter to do the repair until the last week of June. The carpenter, who tried to repair, told us this should have been a replacement and never should have been a repair. He jerry-rigged it so rain and debris wouldnt come into our home while we worked on now replacing the window, and at this time, we cannot open the egress window at all. Weve been playing phone tag with Glass Guru for the last two weeks, and yesterday we received an estimate for $2,855.98. Only $350 of our earlier deposit can be applied as they are charging us $900 for the repair attempt, that by their carpenters own admission, should have never been made. In addition, the $900 in work will have to be all ripped out when the window is replaced, and now we cant even open the window, unlike before. To top it off, it looks like it will take 2-3 months for the replacement to take place. Therefore, when all said and done, they are wanting us to pay $3,755 to replace one double-casement egress window and overall, taking 6 months to accomplish. Im waiting to hear back from Dana, the manager I believe, and Im hoping they do the right thing and give us our deposit back.

Had them out for a quote on Nov 30, 2020, received a quote on Dec 2nd, I asked questions about accuracy (1st quote was not labeled well and it appeared they forgot items like the rebuild cost, asked questions via email on Dec 9th and estimator confirmed it was accurate). When I went to proceed with the install in March 2021 and asked to add another window of the same size (for a rebuild which they have a standard cost for) they insisted on a new quote. The same estimator came out to quote again. The second quote was more than double the cost and had different detail, and different measurements (for the same window). I called to resolve the issue hoping to speak with the estimator since the first quote was either missing detail in the cost or the second one was charging for duplicate work but the receptionist would not let me speak to him instead insisting I had changed the scope and added an arch-type window (which was the primary window I had them quote the first time, two casement windows joined with a round top). The receptionist got aggressive and rude and did not want to let me speak to anyone else after she spoke to the owner, saying the second quote was correct and I was mistaken. Had they admitted their error originally and apologized I was still planning to use their services but blaming the customer led me to another provider that was more professional. This was not about cost as the other quote was similar but within 10% (less cost for the sash and glass replacement but more for the rebuild work).Amending this review (neutral instead of negative) noting the owner’s receptiveness to talk and following up with a letter in the mail as well. That’s commendable and a more professional response than I previously received.

Excellent and friendly customer service

I called to have someone come to my house and look at a window that needed to be repaired. 30 minutes later a gentleman named Steely arrived, he introduced himself, took his shoes off, looked at the window and said it could be repaired.We scheduled a time to come back and he arrived on time, worked outside in the cold and did a great job fixing the window. Looks as good as new. Its nice to know theres still companies out there that operate like this. Big thumbs up to Glass Guru and Steely for a job well done. I will be using you in the future.

We had to have two large mirrors moved in our house, the owner was super nice and contacted us a couple of times to make sure she had all the correct information. Our experience with Glass Guru was beyond phenomenal!!! From scheduling with Dana to estimate and install with Steely; we were provided fairness, very competitive pricing, honesty, wonderful customer service, and quality product. We had gotten several estimates and went from replacing 6 complete windows to only replacing 3 panes. Since we had received such wonderful customer service prior to window pane replacement; we went ahead and had them rescreen all the windows. I wish they did more than windows, as they have been the most responsive to our needs while readying our house to put on the market.

Our project was a front door and two side panels. The entire process went very smoothly, the end product was exactly what we hoped for and the installers were professional, attentive to detail and thorough.This is our second project through Glass Guru (previous was window rebuilds). in both cases we have been very happy with the end result.

The main part of my home was built in the 1880s, and a more recent addition was seemingly not too professionally done. And I live in an Indianapolis historic preservation district. So there were lots of challenges with ordering and installing my new windows. But Adam was very patient in working with me and the IHPC, the installers worked very hard with all the tedious trim work involved, and the windows look great!

Absolutely fantastic. Due to my kids playing and chipping a piece of glass off of our coffee table, I reached out to the Glass Guru and while this was a very small request, they took great care of us to cut a new piece of glass for the table. They were very easy to work with, very friendly, cost efficient, and even helped me carry the new glass to my car. I highly recommend.

I received a card in the mail asking me to comment on my experience with the Glass Guru in Greenwood, IN, so I will make a few comments. First of all, the pleasant woman who wrote up my order for a glass replacement did not know how to read a tape measure. She didnt understand what the little marks were. I explained to her that each of the marks were 1/16, so that two of the marks were 1/8, the thickness of the glass. I was supposed to be charged 50% of the cost when I dropped off the glass frame, but I finally walked out of the shop with a zero invoice and full payment on my credit card. When I picked up the completed installed glass in a metal frame, I didnt examine the surface of the glass closely. When I got the glass pane home, I could see where the installer had a problem with what probably was a diamond grinding tool and touched the surface of the glass near the center of the pane. I decided to accept the replaced pane with a grind mark on the surface because i needed to get the glass back in the window, but I wouldnt consider this a first class job. If I were doing the job and I made a error while installing the glass, I would have taken the time and replaced the damaged glass. Robert Tipple, Indianapolis, IN.

Still havent recieved a call or email on completion of glass repair. At 1395 N. Shore Drive Martinsville Indiana 46151. We gave $200.00 of the $371.00 balance weeks ago. We since went ahead with closing of the house.

Recently moved into my remodeled home. Our master bath has a stand up shower and jacuzzi tub that was completely refinished from brown to white. Before ever using the shower or tub (shower had no glass to even USE in the first place)... we called to have frameless glass installed. Upon being installed, the the men working informed us they had chipped the edge of the tub which connected to the shower. We brushed it off.. it wasn’t super obvious so we didn’t think it was a big deal.HOWEVER, as the truck pulled away I instantly noticed a four inch scratch on the side of our NEWLY finished shower which was more $$ than the glass it’s self!! I called the company right away (as I was watching their men drive away) and calmly informed the woman who answered the phone what had occurred. Honestly, I could not believe how rude she was in return to how calm I was about the situation. I was instructed to email photos over and that since it was Friday it wouldn’t be until Monday when I would hear back from them. Monday came and went, they charged the remaining portion of the glass install on my card and there was NO PHONE CALL. I called the next day to the woman informing me that “her crew” said they had not scratched the shower but went ahead and “patched” it with their paint (it looked HORRIBLE).... which they NEVER informed us of even after they had informed us of chipping the shower. The woman was over the top rude. Luckily after multiple back and forth conversations my fiancé finally convinced the company to pay to repair the shower. I will never ever use this company again. They are rude and unprofessional. The only reason I’m even giving them three stars is because the job was completed and the glass looks okay.
