We purchased a used Marshal acoustic guitar from a wide selection. The staff was friendly and was able to answer all of our questions. Very knowledgeable and patient. The store has a wide selection of instruments (guitars, drums, keyboards, amps, etc.). The price points will allow all musicians, from a beginner to a well seasoned professional, to find what what is needed. There is a wide selection of accessories. The store offers repair service and private lessons.
Purchased a New Taylor today along with some other needed items. Matt was an absolute pleasure and easy to work with. I took advantage of the GC card and let me tell you......the process was quick and painless.Absolutely love my new six.Highly recommend. I would have given more stars but 5 is all the allow. Great job sir.Keep it rocking. 🎸 ✌️N8
Surprisingly nice experience. The team there are very kind and so is the manager (at the time of this writing). Ive been coming here for years and this is the best its ever been. I would come back just based on the customer service alone.
Recently purchased a used guitar online from this location that was listed as great condition. Unfortunately it wasnt. It had scratches and a few gouges on the body and was missing a screw for the bridge. Ill be returning it to my local Guitar Center for a refund. On a good note it did arrive quickly and was packaged well. They just need to do a better job of accurately describing the condition of the item and mention any imperfections.
This shop in particular has the best staff. I had some difficult issues with an online order this week and had to go into the store multiple times. Every employee on the sales floor was helpful and genuinely nice. I really felt that they cared about providing good service. Highly recommend the Greenwood store.
I take my son for guitar lessons here, conner is his instructor and we absolutely love him! Hes great, so down to earth, knowledgeable, helpful, I can go on and on. I heard he is leaving which I am super upset about but other than that Ive never had a problem with this store. Anytime Ive ever had a issue it has been quickly fixed by staff. I love this location so far.
Got my third bass guitar and the service was fast and the workers were very knowledgeable
I bought an Epiphone Les Paul 60s Standard and it arrived at the store with a broken toggle switch. The manager and Tech made a point to not only fix my guitar and replace the broken switch, but also did it free of charge because Im a very occurring customer. I know tech Ryan by name and face. He is extremely kind snd super helpful.Greenwood Guitar Center is always 10/10 with mw.
Always a great selection if you cant find it at your local dealer
I greatly enjoyed my visit. All the employees were personable and good at their job. Their passion and experience shines and adds to their ability to help. I was especially impressed by Sam, who was informative and absolutely great all around. Despite having everything I need from one visit, I am compelled to return for the environment. I might later sign up for lessons.
I signed up for ukulele lessons at this location during one of GCs lessons promotions for the holiday season. Everyone in the store was friendly and welcoming. Several employees approached me at different times to see if I needed assistance. Alex did a great job getting me signed on and setting up my lessons with Jamie. I never played an instrument, so it was wonderful to have Jamie as an instructor. She is knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Jamie gave me great feedback, which helped me to progress. I love that I can play songs and sing along! Jamie even helped me develop intros to songs I found online. I would definitely recommend this location and Jamie as an instructor. Its been a very positive experience all around!
Super disappointed. Drum kit knocked down, long line of people waiting for sales help, 5 guitars with broken strings, keyboard stands falling apart, mic area closed. Half the inventory missing compared to a couple years ago. Im sure the employees are nice...but this was a huge disappointment. Only thing worse was the store on the south side.
Andrew, the store manager and Jensen, my apologies if I misspelled your name, were very helpful in helping me order a great vintage Gibson mandolin! Mandolin arrived safely and packaged with care! These guys were most excellent including Sam who helped me with the tracking number! Highly recommended!
Nothing like it used to be. Didnt have anything I was looking for. Very sad. I used to love to go to GC.
I spend Alot of time in this store. The employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was feel like the go out of there way to make sure you get what you need or want.
Not a big fan of guitar center. Bunch of young kids in there with very limited knowledge and any time you play an instrument they make you feel rushed. When Im about to spend 3 grand on a guitar I dont want someone rushing me! They do have a decent selection of instruments I will say that prices are about average. My biggest issue was being lied to about the guitar center credit card they offer. I was told by 2 different employees that it was a soft inquiry on the credit and after being denied I checked my credit amd sure enough it was a hard inquiry and it left a negative impact on my credit score. NOT COOL!!
I enjoy this place when they have equipment and gear. For the last 6 plus months the store os very empty on the live audio side.
I went into the store without a mask today, and management approached me after a few minutes and asked me to wear a mask. He was never rude, and was polite the whole time, so no complaints about that. I just wanted it to be known that I walked into another guitar store 3 miles from this store and had no problems about the mask....LOL. 🤷🏻♂️
Friendly knowledgeable service at this location. Associate Sam was particularly helpful and informative.
Asked wuestions, got answers. Great place
I gave this location one star because to write a review I had to. I have been shopping this location for about 13years and have spent thousands of dollars on equipment for my son who plays almost everything. I have usually had decent experiences but none recently that have been exceptional. Yesterday I went in with my son and grand baby who is 2yrs old so that my son could buy a new guitar, while in the store my grand baby and I were walking around (he was holding my hand not being in anyway a problem) when an employee approached us to confront my 2yr old grand baby about not having a mask on. Let me state that one more time he is 2yrs old and not required to wear a mask not to mention if you have a 2yr old you know they won’t keep them on anyway. We were told he had to have a mask on or we couldn’t be inside. I tried to explain to her he is 2 and not required to wear a mask when 2 other employees jumped in and started attacking me over this. I placed a call to corporate and they agreed that this was not a requirement unless you were 8yrs old or older in the state of Indiana. After corporate told me I could go back in and continue to shop I was attacked by the store manager stating my mask was now a problem. He tried to say my mask wasn’t on properly and I am a retail manager who wears a mask everyday. My mask never dropped below my nostrils the entire time I was in the store (they have cameras and are more then welcome to watch them). This is in poor taste and terrible customer service. I will never spend another dollar in Guitar Center so I’m sure Arthers and Sam Ash thank you for the gain.
Ridiculously expensive, unprofessional staff and a business model that belongs in Cuba. Avoid this place. Go to Sam Ash or order from Sweetwater. GC will be out of business within a year. Only one star because there is no option for middle fingers.
Thank you so much. I had the most extremely pleasant experience. Your customer service representative Evan is top knotch. He was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure that I got exactly what I needed. Thank you
I always love going to guitar center. Nice people and good atmosphere. I buy and sell here. If you know what your gear is actually worth its a good place to sell and trade.
I had a poor experience at my local store (not this location, but one in Cleveland), which led to me trying to reach Guitar Centers home office to get it taken care of. I was given the wrong information as to the number and location of said home office (how does a GC employee not even know which state their HQ is in?).Anyhow, this store is the number and address they gave me, so that’s how I ended up speaking with Matt D. here at this location. He couldn’t have been nicer and even though he could have easily blown me off as not his problem he made sure to take care of me in an efficient and friendly manner. What a world of difference a kind and dedicated employee can make. What I really mean there is what a difference it makes to just be a decent, honest human being. It sometimes feels like such people are in the minority, so thanks Matt for helping me out and reminding me their are good folks out there willing to help and with a smile on their face showing their glad to do it.
Calm, cool and great service and products.
This place can set you up for what ever music needs you desire. From live shows to studio recording.
Bought my first beginners drum kit from them, went back a few years later traded in that kit for a professional kit. 8 pieces in all not counting cymbals. Bought my gran-daughters guitar there, my wifes violin, and soon a guitar of my own. They have always been professional, courteous, outgoing and extremely knowledgeable on everything I was interested in.Will not shop anywhere else for my musical instruments.Easiest 5 stars Ive ever given on line.
Love this place. They don’t seem to mind that you play the instruments. Sales staff doesn’t hound you. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the prices seem extremely high.
Straight AWSOME! FROM PICS N DRUMSTIX! TO UKULELES N MICROPHONES! FUN PLACE FOR ALL AGES! THIS PLACE IZDMUZIKSTORE! Nn MY FAVORITE!
My order was right. The product was awesome. But the online didnt take my coupon and they refused to take it off at the store. Be mindful when you order online because it makes you think that they have the product on hand but it has to be shipped to the store and the online service doesnt always let you know that. So call before you make the trip to pick it up . Make sure its ready.
I have emailed this store and tried to call them for a week. No answered phone. No email response. How long does it take to get ahold of someone here?
Yes Evan at the at the greenwood store location has wonderful customer service experience and he was able to answer all my questions on the equipment that I needed for my DJing skills he really was knowledgeable and really helpful he was a 110% satisfaction from me and truly helped me with everything I will definitely be visiting the store again because of the great customer service experience being that I drove an hour away several times
Just picked up my 7 pack harmonica blues, country, and folk style sounds at a price that I could not refuse. Good people, big store, and lots of instruments.
Great products and great staff!
Horrible experience. We brought some equipment in to be checked and stood around waiting for half an hour and no one came to help us. The guy at the door asked us what we needed then ignored us. They had at least a dozen employees there who kept walking past us talking to each other but no one else said a word to us till we gave up and they wished us a nice day on our way out.
You can bet the music shop is still going to be hard to leave, there is to many toys to look at and great musicians working to answer any questions you might have. Take a friend you will make it a weekly thing.
Associates are very nice and helpful. They had smiles on their faces the whole time I was there. Probably the best place for music equipment.
Rude employees who are more worried about being the mask police than actually help customers. Waited around and couldnt get helped but overheard a rude employee berate someone about a mask. I get that you have to remind ppl of your policy but hearing him do it in such a rude manner was offputting. Took my business elsewhere.
I mean staff is pretty helpful. Selection is very large for most basic instruments like guitar, bass, drum stuff etc. Over all best place to go for the variety alone ....if you want a steak deal you need to just stalk marketplace imo ...
Went in to buy a $4,000 guitar. Walked around for 15 minutes with no one offering to help. As I was trying out a guitar my mask fell down for 15 seconds and suddenly a rude employee wants to educate me on covid. No thanks. Ill take my money elsewhere.
Nice enough employees but didnt have the guitar strings I needed but any brand.
Dont let the I side of the store intimidate you. Im a know absolutely nothing beginner. You should take someone with you, its better if they have some musical leanings, so that you dont have to feel alone and bewildered. The staff is surprisingly great. It seems like theyre there, because everyone needs to work, but they actually seem to care about the instruments and you. The staff Ive dealt with arent pushy, but have an answer to seemingly every question I had. Purchased instruments there before and will go back and have recommended others to go there too.
Terrible ... I’m tried to call before I pulled up and I see why the phone wasnt able to be answered by anyone... this place had one cashier with a CASH drawer, one associate only worried about the sale she was making, everyone more worried about leaving then servicing the customers (because the store was clearly busy)and then all quarters for My change... then the doors locked so you have to wait to leave, unless your mask is incorrectly then they stop everything to correct you (senselessness)..., won’t be back...
We just recently bought a keyboard, for my husband, as a Christmas gift. Two different sales people worked with him. I wanted him to make a selection. that had the features he wanted. We are very pleased with the service we got as well as the product itself, andcustomer service.
After calling to see if an item was in stock, and being put on hold for 10 minutes before being told it wasnt in the store. We decided to drive up there to see what they did have. We were surprised to see that the guy on the phone could see plainly from where he answered the phone, that He should have been able to give us an answer right away. While in the store, the 3 or 4 employees totally ignored us. When we tried to get there attention at the desk, they just walked away. No, they werent busy with others, there were only 3 other customers thete, and they were taken care of.The employees just totally ignored us, and so, missed a 500.00 sale.Wont get my business again.
We did have to wait in line on a hot humid summer sidewalk. However they were very knowledgeable and intellectually superior when it came to knowledge of guitars and music interests. I respected there word and biught a very swell capo and debated buying bass strings, however did not. Good capo though, 5 stars.
Last couple of times Ive been to the GC stores they have been a mess and no customer service.
Super friendly and helped a lot ☺
Andrew was a great help in finding the guitar I was looking for and everyone else was extremely helpful in finding the bag I needed and what best strings I can find all for one hell of a deal.
Great guys, knowledgeable, helpful but not pushy. Lots of available hours and great gear.
Nice people, great selection, good prices, would recommend to others!!
Good clean store
Anytime I have been in there or even called to get information they have been awesome. Very friendly and willing to help on anything over my guitars.
Horrible service. Used to be a great store but now looks like a dirty pawnshop inside with half the inventory it used to have. Waited in line for five minutes with no help.
The guys at the Greenwood store really helped us out. We had a bad experience ordering online and they were super knowledgeable and worked hard to make it right. Huge thanks to Evan, Alex, and Matt! Thanks to you guys, we will be rocking that 12-string all winter!
In and out quickly and they always have the off beat stuff I need.
Nice place with an excellent selection and service
People are really nice!! i lived the employees, very helpful!
I knew exactly what I wanted and asked an employee who took me straight there... In and out in 7 minutes
Helpful staff and so much to choose from! My family and I have been customers for about 15 years now and have never had trouble finding what we need.
Called in this morning to see how quickly they could get a nut replaced. Tech told me $100. $100 for a bit replacement?!! Lol I want whatever he’s smokin.
Went in for bass adjustments and ended up needing all of my frets leveled. Andrew, the store manager, did his absolute best to fix my bass before they closed. He was kind enough to offer me an extra set of strings for the trouble. Excellent staff that genuinely care about your instruments!
Okay place but they are currently without a tech.
So I think everyone has a story about how awkward or uncountable guitar center can be. Just look at the 100s of YouTube videos of people poking fun. But this was my worst experience ever. I know these young guys are just following company COVID policy. So I walk up with my wife. I get stopped at the door. The guys says you have to wear a mask. I said cool. No problem. Can I have one? He said well Id prefer you get one so I dont have to use ours what? So I go find a mask and I come back. Then they assign me an escort to make sure I dont go near anyone. He wont go near me and has zero product knowledge. It was waaaaay too uncomfortable. We walked out. To weird for me. I was going to buy something I probably shouldnt have any way. So they did save me a ton of money. I went to a locally owned guitar store and got something more reasonable.
I love me some keyboard.
Obviously No longer open. Very disappointing.
Very helpful and friendly!
Store didnt have a whole lot of inventory of used guitars Im assuming because of stuff being bought online during shutdown. Also you had to wait until a sales person was free to show you into the store. I didnt feel comfortable.
Had a really great experience with a store associate named Alexander M. K. He was busy with another customer when I walked in but made sure I knew he was there to help, wrapped things up with the previous customer, quickly got me what I needed, got me checked out smoothly, all the while chatting with me about Metal. Someone give that kid a high five. 10/10 would want to interact with him again.
Ive never had a bad experience here. No pressure. The sales staff stays out of your way unless you ask for help. No snobbery that sometimes happens in specialty stores. Good discounts and a great on line website
Best customer service experience provided by David Peterson. I called in about and online DJ controller since in the Dallas area and David was able to answer all my questions, took his time to hear my concerns buying an item without being there. He went the extra mile to call Native Instruments the developer to make sure my software was unlocked for the item I was buying. He kept his word to following up with me and just all around the best customer sales experience I’ve ever had at any guitar centers or sales store. Give this guy a raise or promotion
This place looks like it belongs in a post apocalyptic movie. Other than guitars, there is nothing there. The pro audio section looks ransacked and has for months. They have virtually nothing new or used. Plus, the one new turntable they did have, they were charging more than their own website. Guitar center is a joke. I’m not real interested in Sam ash either. Looks like amazon will steal another customer.
My favorite place to go too..!
If you would like to have some point out some vastly overly priced music equipment, you’ve come to the right place. Some kid that works here at this place allowed mid-4-figures with of sales walk out the door because he didn’t think my mask was on right. Priorities, I guess🤦🏻♂️
Had to wait in line to get in and quite a bit of basic product was out of stock, due to Covid-19 but open for shopping & still great staff & service.
So Im the kind of person thats a bit hard to please, the associates were helpful every single person there asked if I needed help. They didnt feed me nonsense and try to make me buy products that I didnt need. Id give it five stars but nothing gets 5 stars.
Great place. Good selection.
I drove 30mins to visit the store only to be told that I can’t come in bc my 15month old son doesn’t have a face mask. He is too young to even keep one on. Best Buy and Kohl’s let us in without a mask on. So I will be shopping elsewhere from now on.
My experience at guitar center was one of the best! Thanks to Aaron and Alex for helping me out, and helping me find a product that really gave me the best option! Thanks guys!
First time in there and it was welcoming and friendly. They let you play the drums and guitars. I stink at playing but I had fun. They also offer lessons.
Awesome guitar store, they let you try any guitar you want 🎸
Nice selection, very friendly employees, and nice used guitars to choose from. I did have a small problem with my guitar after paying 170.00. The exchange for a new one was easy, but the new guitar had the same problem. Since I waited so long(very busy working) I got the run around and it was never resolved. I will never make that mistake again.
This store has really worked hard to be more personable. Great staff! Always friendly and welcoming. New manager ROCKS! He has really turned this store around!
Wounderful service
Good place and great staff
They were rude and disrespectful ill never shop there again as long as companies like this act like communist China I will not be apart of it Ive never had a worse experience anywhere in my life.
Love this music store!! So much more than just guitars and amps! Staff is always ready and willing to help you with anything you need. Good selection and good pricing.
Blind granddaughter is taking guitar lessons there. The teacher is great and so very patient. My granddaughter bought a guitar and the staff was very helpful.
Online order arrived busted had to go to store who refused to let me in because I wasnt putting a mask on my baby. Employees were rude, manager was okay, corporate was rude, very bad experience will lead to to alternative future choices.
Great staff, each time I went I have dealt with someone different but to my surprise customer service has not suffered! Each individual was knowledgeable, insightful and eager to help without coming off condescending.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My go to place for anything music related.
I like the guitars here
A neat place to visit, prices are still great
They were very helpful and very friendly. My grandson does voice acting and needed a new system, and I have no idea what to get they helped me alit and took time to explain the wheres and why he would need this system and he loved it.
