We (yes, WE, not just my husband) love their Craftsman tools! They have a large selection, and always have the latest tool out. We also like shopping for clothes there. They are usually a higher quality than some Ive purchased at high-end stores. Unlike several items that we paid a lot more for, none of the Sears clothing has fallen apart after one or two washes. Weve purchased a LG washer and dryer set there last year, also. The salesman was very helpful and informative. Weve already had our included one-year routine maintenance done on them and that gentleman was very nice and professional. We absolutely love that laundry set. We dont spend all day washing and drying a couple of loads of clothes. If anything, we are say, Is that washer done already?!, or Really? The clothes are already dry? My daughter brought her familys clothes here a few times when they first moved to a new place with no washer/dryer. She, and her husband, were amazed at this set and bought some, too.Anyway, I always cringe when I hear of Sears stores closing, hoping that ours isnt on that list. It is the perfect store, too, if you think about it: a couple can go in together and the man can hang out in the tool section, while the woman goes to shop for clothing, housewares, etc.
I stopped shopping at this store years ago. There were always numerous out of stocks, long lines and never enough people working. I went back in there today for the first time to just buy a wrench set. The shelf tag was priced wrong of course. I asked an associate about it, he didnt know and I was told to wait my turn as he pointed to a line at the register. I finally got up to the register and it scanned wrong. He couldnt figure out how to fix it, I almost just paid the over marked price just to get out of there. Such an ordeal for just a wrench set. If you want empty shelves, rude overworked employees, upset customers and extremely poor management this is the store for you. I will NEVER shop there again and judging by the empty parking lot that used to always be full, a lot of other people feel the same way.
Sears is a store Ive went to since I was a child. I love this place and wish that they stay open for another 40 years. I do have one suggestion is to get some type of wheel chair with a carring type of device to shop. It was pretty tough to shop with my Grandmother and hold the clothes she was shopping for. However, we love this place.
Sad to see the stores close.Every year at Christmas we looked at the Sears catalogue dreaming of what Santa may bring. As an adult, I love the store for everything from bedding to riding lawnmowers. So sad!
Bought a refrigerator from them and they didnt tell us we needed a plumber to be on hand to disconnect the water hose (we do not have reverse osmosis) the guy that delivered it kept saying we did and they couldnt touch it. My husband even tried to explain to him it was a hook up for the ice maker. So they left with our refrigerator still in the garage and of course cant come back for a week. I spent four hours empyting and cleaning. Sears sucks and I will never buy from them again!!!!! We r returning it
It is obvious why they are failing. When I go to Lowes, Home Depot, or Menards checkout is a snap. In and out. When we checked out at Sears the only other customer today signed up for some card and took forever while we stood there hoping for another employee to open the other register. Then they ask me if I want to sign up for a rewards card. Then a credit card. My goodness, I just want to go I have work to do. Time is money and Sears wasted 15 minutes of mine at the register! That doesnt include the time I spent being ignored before then. If youre a person who has nothing better to do than stand around waiting while your ignored this is the place for you! Im buying a John Deere so I dont have to deal with Sears.
Complete waste of time and money. Bought a $350 vacuum plus $50 warranty. Turns out if product breaks past 30 days the warranty only gives you in store reward credit not sure what that is. Our vacuum died 3 months after we bought it. Managers were not helpful. Wasted 2 hours trying to resolve after the sent us to an imaginary return desk. We not the only ones given the run around. There was another man trying to return something as well, and told to go to return desk at customer service. Manager told us it didnt exist. Sad exude for customer service. We will stick to Costco next time.
I wish I could give negative stars!! Not sad to see this place go. My husband and I went on a shopping spree over the summer. While we were shopping ( both of us having seperate carts) I noticed I was being followed. This was in the midst of the sex trafficking scares around the greenwood area. I began looking around for my husband when I noticed a second man following me. I started to panic. I hustled through the department I was in and finally spotted my husband. When I told him what was happening, he suggested we weave through another department to make sure i was actually being followed. Thats when the insult came. We began hearing pages for SECURITY to every department we entered. Realizing what was happening, we headed toward the cashier closest to our exit. Once our items were being rang up, we turned back to where the unmarked security guard had set up post and confronted him. He admitted to following me and said he was ensuring I wasn’t t going to steal $285 DOLLARS WORTH OF CLOTHES. Mind you, I never once stepped foot into a dressing room, I was wearing a 90 dollar pair of shoes and a 113 dollar outfit, and I made contact with SEVERAL sales associates during my venture. I contacted corporate who sent an email to Nicole, the general manager of sears. I made several attempts to contact her. She didnt even have the decency to offer an apology for her idiot minions harassing me and stalking me while I was spending my HARD EARNED PAYCHECK in that sorry excuse for retail. Good riddens!!!!
Lowes was sold out of Christmas trees, so we went on a whim over to Sears. They had the perfect tree for 70% off! We got a $400 Christmas tree for $119!! I would have, never in a million years thought to go check out Sears. But apparently neither would anyone else, which is why theyre going out of business and selling Christmas trees for 70% off. I have mixed feelings about the situation. So in the end, you cant go there anymore, but my last experience was great. I also got socks for 40 cents.
Sad to see this leaving. Was there picking up items but there was only 1 register open and 30 in line. Need to say returned my items and left.
One of the worst experiences of my life! Incompetent employees, the store was dimly lit, they had one check out on each floor, they have stations for them. They probably have more security people than employees! They may as well bite the bullet and close them down.I will never go back.
Dont bother shopping here. Dont order anything online. Our order was incomplete and wrong size. Customer service didnt know how to handle a return. Will be glad when new store moves in. Long overdue.
I went to the closing of the Sears in Greenwood. They were getting low on things in the store, but I liked going there. I will miss the Sears Store.
This was a nice Sears location until they decided to close it down a few months ago.
It is a big store but they dont carry good quality stuff though their price is comparable to other good stores in the mall. You have to be very choosy to buy something good at great price here.
Less than satisfactory. Will be sorry to see this store close. I have fond memories of Sears during the 60s and 70s. Things just arent the same. Computers have taken over and customer service has suffered from it.
Sears, Roebuck & Company is as American as apple pie. Since 1886 they have been delivering the American dream -- clothes, tools, appliances, toys, furniture, household furnishings, lawn equipment, even whole houses. Sears needs a lifeline -- reach out and buy something there today.
Its sad to see this great retail giant prepare to close.
I know sears all my life if you come a member you collect point and can help you of your spending, also Im a K-mart also. All my family had buy Die Hard Battery and still right now it still work in there car because they have same car for years going buy. They had best quality ever, so if yall think other store have the best quality stay right, so people can take of Avdance you. At least K- mart still have layaway, cant find that to many place of that. A lot store dont have best quality, but at least sears try.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My daughter was able to reach up and grab an open razor blade on the counter from the cart she was in, she then bled all over the place for 3 minutes with no help from staff. Luckily my husband had his cellphone camera going. We even called the store to speak with them about it and nobody ever called us back, I bet they do when I post the video to social media.
This place deserves zero stars. Ive been on hold for almost 13 minutes because no one knows if my Kenmore sewing machine can be serviced there.
Bought a Sears Die Hard battery a while back. In less than a year did it ever DIE HARD! The store wouldnt honor the warranty. I finally had to call corporate in Chicago and they begrudgingly refunded half the cost! Then we took our Sears sewing machine in for service. 4 weeks later it still wasnt fixed. After I threatened to call Chicago corporate AGAIN, they gave us a used loaner to use. I would gladly have helped them tear down the Bloomington store for free!
I have always liked Sears and have bought many products. It is sad that it is not thriving, there arent many sale persons and many products as has had in past. They have good products with good prices. Shameful to see it deteriorate. Always like Sears!
The entire store was a mess.the selves are disorganized. The dressing rooms are over run with clothing. I understand that the store is closing, but the only have three cashiers in the entire store.
Another store from my childhood closing. I remember looking at their catalog all the time. Taking 20-40% off of everything.
I bought a washer and dryer from Sears in September 2016. Since then, Ive had no less than 8 service calls to repair the washing machine. Everytime I call to speak to someone they just transfer me to a different department and leave me on hold for extended periods of time. All I want is for Sears to make good on my purchase and replace my machine. The ineptitude and unwillingness of the staff to help is indicative of Sears current financial woes. I will never purchase anything from Sears again.
This store is going out of business. Hurry for 15%-70% savings. Only bad thing is that most of the articles are not priced out.
It was a little bare, not much in it today. Christmas must have been good for this store.
Sears was super! I so wish it wasnt closing! I wish businessmen could run things better!
They are going out of business and had some pretty good deals.
I can see why this location is only 2.7 stars. We purchased mattresses and they sent the wrong ones. Upon trying to get it rectified, they advertently muddied the waters, by placing another incorrect order. When we went into speak to them about correcting the mistake, an assistant manager (Nicky) had the audacity to insinuate that we were the ones who gave the wrong order (she was very rude). We spoke the General Manager (Kathy) she said that she would take care of the situation, but she has done nothing. We wanted to return the mattresses and she did say that we were to receive an email, to get this done, but we did not received it, as of yet. We now have mattresses of a much lesser quality than what we had originally ordered.
Bought a garage door opener and was told by the cashier I had 30 days to come back and purchase an extended warranty. Called back a few weeks later and was told it was actually 14 days, NOT 30. Now its been greater than 14 days but less than 30 and I am not able to purchase an extended warranty.
Got a great deal there shopping while on sale purchases.
Just left this store trying to find parts for a tune up, for my crafstman lawn mower, I ask the guy to help me out but all he did was point to the direction of the parts, I asked, dont you need the model# to look the parts up? All I got was I THINK SO and walked away, no interest whatsoever to help a costumer.never coming back, I am taking my money somewhere else...
Great sales i was able to get two pairs of shoes for under $30
WORST SERVICE EVER! Technician determined (took 20 minutes) the 7 year old front loading Samsung washer could not be repaired by sears because Samsung does not sell the rear drum any longer. First all parts should be serviced for 10 years on appliances. My tenants picked up the bill and were overcharged by $96 for Part Unavailable. The ordered diagnostic service quote was only $89 therefore more than doubling the bill for no value add. After 8 phone calls and 4 weeks to Sears to resolve the $96 they claim that the labor charge to determine a that the part is unavailable is a legitimate charge. THIS IS WHY SEARS IS GOING BANKRUPT!
Decent store. Great deals.
Attempted to call the store 10 times and no one ever answered the phone.
After my experience with a Kenmore HE Top loader purchased at Sears in Greenwood, I will never buy another Kenmore, nor indeed any appliance from Sears again. Within a year of purchasing, our washer grew extremely loud during the spin cycle, you couldnt carry on a conversation anywhere in the house while it was spinning. In spite of something obviously going wrong, we couldnt get warranty service because it was still running, and instead got the run around, try this, try that routine. After a year of owning it, it began leaking while it wasnt running, to the point where it would fill up with water. Then, a year and half in, it quit altogether. We paid for service to come out and splice a wire that tore apart because the wiring harnesses are so tight. We also got a quote to fix the gear box (why it was so loud) and valves (leaking) of $750! The washer was totaled, but there was no standing by their product from Sears or Kenmore, the best we got was an offer for a 10% discount if we were sucker enough to buy again. Needless to say, we didnt, and this Kenmore is now at the dump.
Very disappointed! Wouldnt do a refund or let me exchange so now im out $40 smh, if i would have never purchased the items.
I was at this Sears on May 23, 2018 at around 12:45 to 1:15 PM.I was there because I was hoping to pick up some Lands End rash guards for my boys. I didnt realize Lands End was not there anymore. I went downstairs to the kids section, found what I needed but there were no open registers. I went up stairs to the jewelry counter. While waiting, I saw some Bulova and Citizen watches I wanted to see. But no on ever came to the counter after about 10 minutes of waiting. So my boys and I walked toward the furniture/mattress area where I know some registers are located. These registers were closed. With a sign that directed me housewares. There wasnt a register in housewares. When I went back to the registers, a young man on his cell phone was at the computer (not the register). He saw me but didnt address me. I saw a hand written sign on that side of the Customer Service area that directed me to the register by the mall entrance, sorry for the inconvenience. So my boys and I walked there. No one was at that register. At this point, I put all my purchases down and left.I called the store number and asked to speak to a manager (after going through the automated system 2x to get to Childrens Apparrel - the system hangs up on you instead of sending you to an operator if it doesnt understand your request). I spoke to a person and asked to speak to a store manager. I was on hold so long, the system hung up on me. I called again. Spoke to the same woman who said, Oh, he must not be answering his phone. I was on hold again for so long that the system hung up on me.Not a problem. I went across the street to Osh Kosh/Carters where I spent $25 then to TJMax where I spent $172.Sears is going downhill for a reason. I hardly ever go to this store. I only ever went for Lands End. We used to shop here at the holidays, but the service has been getting progressively worse to the point like today where there was >no service to< be found even to take my money.Dont waste your time at this store. The management there is so bad they cant motivate their employees and they dont have the courtesy to answer the phone.
Because of previous disappointment when shopping at Sears, I called before driving to the store to see if they had craftsman lawnmower wheels in stock. Nope. I remember when Sears was THE store, it’s not even a store, now.
So sad they are closing always have loved Sears
Good but more expensive than other retail stores
It was Horrible...I know theyre closing, but the isles are full of Clothes, Shoes...Almost impossible to walk thru...SMH.....
Sad they are closing. Loved their rewards program.
Good service but the items available feel basic
Dr. Dunlap is great. In and out in 20 mins.
Lovely place to shop and friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have what youre looking for either in store or on line most of the time.
Excellent customer service. They really helped me out.
A ghost town. Surprised its still in business No staff around to help. Only one register open in the entire store. There was a line of 5 customers and the cashier was extremely slow. After waiting 10 minutes and the first customer hadnt finished, we left dropped what we had in hand and left without making a purchase. Horrible.
Its been a really good experience at sears
I am a cleaner I previously was working with Kimco cleaning services who does the cleaning in this facility which me personally I dont think they do a very good job of maintaining and cleaning the facility only because they dont switch out there Mop Heads frequently like theyre supposed to they have a sink in the womens bathroom that constantly runs water in the mens bathroom over by Automotive that toilet overflow suds all the time because people throw too much toilet paper in it the trash cans that sit out front of the facility smell like dead animals live inside of them nobody cleans them out they empty the trash yes but they should be cleaned out because they put off an awful smell which causes bumblebees to hang around in eventually somebodys going to get stung
Currently 10-30% off. Only 2 check out sections. Bathrooms need tending.
For going out of bussines it didnt appear that the prices refelt that .
Im going to miss sears
Whole store is trash. Antique checkout processes. terrible customer service.
The great place for tools, work clothes and price matching
Closing. Many good deals.
Bought a dishwasher, install came to put it in and stated they couldnt without calling a plumber and having some pretty major construction done. I decided to just get my old one fixed rather than tear my finished basement apart. Install was at my house no more than ten minutes and never even unloaded the dishwasher. I informed them of my decision and they advised me the refund would automatically be done, I asked if I needed to sign anything and they said no. After 10 days and no refund I finally called Sears. I was transferred atleast 5 times before finally being told I had to handle the refund through the store. I called the store and continued to get the run around. After finally talking to the manger he said everything should be in order and I should receive the refund in 7-10 days. 10 days pass still no refund. I call them back and again they have no idea what is going on. This time I am again transferred several times and given the run around for over an hour before I talk to someone who claims they can help me. Now again they say the refund should be here in 10 days, but I then get a call the next day from Sears wanting to come pick up the dishwasher that install never even got off the truck. Awful customer service and incompetent employees. I have returned items to Lowes and it takes about 10 minutes. I have been dealing with Sears for nearly a month and still dont have the $800 I am owed.
Busy busy busy. Everything must go! Items 20%- 70% off.
Outstanding service in bedding Jennifer was great!
I got a Nerf Gun there and it didnt even work. It is sad to see Sears go, but man they need to work on broken toys.
Sears needs to sell tools and appliances only. This place is the AARP of mall stores. Its like they just gave up.
I needed to exchange a pair of girls tights, that were only $8, and because I didnt have the receipt they wouldnt exchange them even though they had the exact same ones.
Going out of business. I believe they are closed now at this location
Store is closing so lots of confusion and very hectic but with patience there are bargains to be found.
Great eye dr.
Thank goodness theyre closing because they are so unorganized.
Sears in greenwood is going Out of Business and they have great deals.
Theyre clearing everything out. Lines are a bit lengthy. Get there asap for whats left.
Was there this evening and it was crowded because they are going out of business. Picked up a few things and went to check out and they only had 1 place to checkout for around 30 people in line. Needless to say I put my items down and left. If I return I will take a chair to sit and wait.
They had a sale going on but they increased their inventory Prices then gave a twenty percent off trying to pass it off as a sale
Nice merchandise,a bit pricey
Nice store and good deals.
This was once a very busy store. Hardly anyone in the store. Its really sad to see so many Sears closing down
Out of almost all there usual stock. You will not get help here. Glad this place is closing down.
Its a mess but its a going out of buisness sale
Completely incompetent and unprofessional management. If I could give zero stars I would
Everything about this store, from the staff to the merch, just says that its waiting to fail.
Great going out of business deals.sorry they are closing
Lines lines smdh not that good deal
Very Sad Closing, prices start so high after about 75% off its normal sale prices. Sad to see it closing.
Terrible store and management thank goodness their closing
Always love to go to sears
Store closing sales. Sad to see it go
Out of Business in 9 days. Low inventory bad displays and slow check out. 40 to 75% off.
Great products great prices
Ordered new shoes. Delivered to my house.
Its terrible that most of the stores are going to close.
Good they are closing
So sad to see them going out of business.
Some really goo deals, others not so much.
Horrible experience...no wonder theyre closing
One of the last good Sears stores
Going out of business but the prices are just to ridiculous high for clearance sales.
For a store that is going out of business the prices are not reflecting it
Glad theyre going out of business I could never get Associates to help me
Going out of business....place was destroyed
