Excellent selection of beers on tap and in the fridge. They will pour any can beers in a glass for you and the service is excellent!!! Went above and beyond for us when we were selecting what we wanted to drink. Did not disappoint. We will be back soon to enjoy more tasty brews!!!

I was looking for a bottle shop closer to home than the one I usually go to on the other side of the river, I found this place and checked it out.Nice selection of bottles/cans, not a huge selection but a nice selection.Tap menu looked delightful!The guy running the place was super helpful, I was there for bottles and cans and the guy let me taste the ones he had on tap of the selections I was interested in 👍.Again, super nice guy and great service. Im going back for sure!

Hoppys is one of my favorite places on earth.

Ive been coming here for years. Started out because I needed a brew supply store much closer since I moved to the east side of town. Surprisingly limited selection of home brewing stores but works fine this one was available for me. Theres quite a lot of knowledge on products and how to make your home brewing go smoothly every time. There is a solid tap list for almost any taste and rotating taps just give more options next visit. The ability to bring food from neighboring restaurants is a plus since theres no in house kitchen, but its a plus to have so much variety in beer and food within a small block.

The Hoppy Brewer is a great place to enjoy wonderful beers on tap or to pick a selection of bottled or canned brews.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The price is right. Oh, they have a great supply of brewing supplies as well.This is the first place I have found with the Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA on tap.

It was a nice place. But I went in there to try and learn about brewing and pick up some equipment and supplies and there was one guy in there trying to run the whole place with a bar people drinking who is kind of crazy I really got no help and it took me 45 minutes to get that..he was nice..but I wont go back..

One of the best beer selections in the PNW. Wide variety of excellent local breweries and an ever-rotating line of their own tasty brews. Staff is fantastic - knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. Special shout out to Jeff (1.0? 2.0?) for asking our groups names ONCE and always remembering them. Order a burg from The Local Cow next door then pop over to Hoppys. Choice between sitting outside on their cozy patio or inside accompanied by entertaining local musicians. Its not uncommon to go for one beer and leave after two or three... I no longer live in PDX and these are the nights I miss the most. Much love from your crew of bonecrackers!

First time going to Hoppy and I enjoyed the experience very much! The bartender Jeff(1) was friendly and attentive, even as the taproom filled with several customers he was on top of assisting customers with a friendly demeanor and quick service. The cider I had (Loganberry) was delicious and instead of having the intended 1 drink and leave kind of day, I ended up having three and meeting some fun people, who I joined in a game of scrabble with. (Hoppy provides games to play while there) It was convenient to have the Local cow close by to grab food which was delicious as well. The servers were kind enough to deliver the food to me so I wouldn’t have to wait for my order and Hoppy allows you to bring in outside food to eat. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing and I can see the place being a new regular spot to go to on the weekends. 😁

Great place come here all the time. Lots of taps always a few darks, sours, the unique stuff not just 25 ipas like everywhere else.

Great shop, great customer service. I went in to buy supplies for a first time brew. The staff was super helpful with picking out equipment, and giving advice on the whats and whys. Brewing terminology can be a bit confusing for a beginner, and I didnt get any of the typical pretentious responses that you expect to get from people who work in small shops in the Portland area. Im definitely going back.

This place uses to be amazing. But Ill never go again. Customer service has become lazy. These people dont serve drinks. They just want you out of their zone.

I used to love this place. I bought all of my brew supplies here. That ended when I decided to try some of the beers in their tasting room. We had some friends visit from out of town who wanted to try some local beers and I thought it would be a good idea to go here. We had our 8 month old with us and sat at one of their outdoor tables. I went in to order a beer and before I could say anything the guy behind the bar quickly demands Is that baby yours!? I told him he was and was informed we couldnt be there then. Seriously? Hes 8 months old and youre a tasting room that shares an outdoor patio with a burger joint we were going to eat at. Its not like he was a toddler or young kid running around or a teenager trying to order a beer. An infant.... On top of that if you had politely said your policy was not minors what so ever I wouldnt have had an issue. Thank you for showing me where your company stands on family.

Favorite place in all of Gresham to hang out + have a beer! This place attracts all ages, group sizes, and even allows kids inside til a certain hour. After a long working weekend, my fiance and I love to reward ourselves with a beer (or two) from Hoppy, and some good eats from the burger joint next door. Nothing beats sitting outside, summer or winter, drinking a beer and just relaxing. We love the staff, and they seem to like us pretty well too! They always do their best to know their customers, remember their favorite beer, create inside jokes, and just make the experience so personable and homey. We love this place, and will always give Hoppy our business!

The taproom portion is beyond a 5 star rating. Bartenders are super knowledgeable on the beer they offer. On top of that, the list is pretty flawless. I wanted a hoppy WC style IPA and they were able to help me out perfectly. If Im ever in the area again, definitely checking you out.

The variety and selection on tap is fantastic, you are guaranteed to find the perfect pint for any preference. Dark stout? Hoppy? IPA? Its here! The friendly staff knows their beer and are great at making suggestions when I cant decide. This place is also the perfect spot on the east-side of Portland to get home brew supplies.

To go from a 4 to a 5-star rating I would expect a much broader selection of yeast and hops. When we looked for a specific (yet readily available) yeast and hop variety, we were told to just improvise. We made the trek 15miles to another home brew supply, simply because sometimes we want to follow a recipe to get the desired results. Other than that, we love the vibe and layout of your place, its fantastic!

This is a fun spot to drink and check out some local bands. I brew my own beer and this place came highly recommended to obtain some brewing supplies. The owners and staff are really knowledgeable and have helped me create some really good IPAs. They sell beer making supplies and also serve beer but no food. They did connect themselves with The Local Cow and share a covered patio, so you can have food from them delivered to you on their patio or in the bar if you want.

Hoppy has been my favorite tap room since, well, Ive been going to tap rooms. Not only do they have knowledgeable and friendly service but their tap list and bottle selection are diverse. They also have many live events throughout the month. I come most every Thursday to enjoy the free sampling from breweries as well.

Best home brew store Ive been too, its a plus that they also brew and serve beer. And a double plus that they are connected with the local cow. Prices are fair and service is awesome!

Not only is the Hoppy Brewer a great place for a craft beer, but Steve lets you take food in to enjoy with your beer. If you place an order with the Local Cow next door, they will bring it over while youre sipping your suds. On the other side of the place is the Pockets Pita Bar, another great place for take-out. A couple of us meet there once or twice a month and couldnt be happier with the experience.

A quaint, smaller venue with a very large tap selection and friendly staff. Outdoor beer garden area is sheltered and heated during cooler seasons and theres a fair amount of seating all things considered.Cant speak much about the homebrew supplies as it wasnt the reason for my visit.

I have tried over and over going to this place and not once have I had a good experience. Once I went in just for some rubber o-rings. I wanted to pay with my card but I was told I would have to buy more if I was going to use my debit card. Trying to be nice I did buy a few more random things. I left feeling like a nuisance. Few months later I went in to get some yeast. No one would wait on me. I was there for 15 min while employees talked. I finally just grabbed yeast without getting my questions answered and stood in line(there was 2 other people in the store). When it was my turn the cashier said they would be right back. I said “great no worries”. I was left for 5 more minutes. At this point I have been in the store for 30 min. I had to ask the owner to ring me up. My last time I went in I wanted to get supplies for my beer and once again could not get help. This time they were acutely busy and so I tried to be nice and patent. I will admit they were quick to sell me a beer. I drank my beer but still took me 45min to get out of the store. They might make good beer but as for the beer supplies I cannot stand the customer service. There stock supplies are not all that great. I have asked all my beer making friends not to go there.

I used to go here frequently to purchase all my home brewing supplies along with having a beer while Im there. Ive used them since their first month in business. Great selection of beers and good prices when I used to brew. Ive been out of home brewing for a few years but I figured its time to buy the equipment again. I now live by FH .....(another place) but I would really like to show loyalty to a great place and a great owner, unfortunately, they dont show any prices on their website. If their prices are similar to the other place, or less, I would make the drive. Whos to know without a price?

My first visit to downtown Gresham brought me here, for their 8th anniversary, and a Saturday afternoon performance by one of my favorite bands, the J.T. Wild band. I dont homebrew any more, so cant speak to that part of the business, but the taproom was great! Excellent selection, friendly folks, and samples given. No food, but the burger place next door has you covered. Go there!

Best beer garden in Gresham

How great to have a brewery like this so nearby.Last month I filled a couple of growlers for my nephews who were on a weekend garage project.These guys love their micro brews and they raved about the ones from Hoppy Brewer. Believe they were called Descender and Ruin 10? At any rate, they were wowed!

The only issue thst I have with Hoppy Brewery is its size. A main reason I patronize Hoppy Brewery is also its size. Its smallness gives it the character and friendly, personal service that is its genius. I also appreciate the ever-expanding beer selections, the live music, and the ability to order burgers from The Happy Cow next door---a defacto brew pub-food cart arrangement.

Greshams hidden little gem, this spot has a huge tap list and very knowledgeable bar staff. The set up inside is actually welcoming and cozy, a nice spot to enjoy your beer.

Ive been in here 3 times, and Ive never had a pleasant experience. I was told nobody makes glass carboys, they advised me too buy a distilling alcohol meter that will not work on my home brew, they couldnt answer any of my brewing questions. Basically, you do it their way or you gtfo. I recommend Lets Brew off 82nd and stark, Kim is an amazing resource and if she doesnt have something, shell tell you where to go, instead of claiming it doesnt exist.

I find myself here a lot ! Because I can actually find quite a few beers I love and want to taste. I love the authentic shapely glaswear they use to serve each beer as it calls for. I dont brew at all, but the DIY vibe is cool. I wish they had charcuterie or small snacking finger food instead of sharing the patio with just burgers. Staff has been lovely, they seem stoked to be there.

I came here for my first (and ONLY) time last week, and I must say they have a mediocre selection of decent beer......... BUT the prices are comparable, if not better, most other places that have craft beers. I will say though, the customer service my girlfriend and I received would be the only positive reason for returning.... although that does only go for the employees. I honestly have never in my life felt as weird and creeped out, as I did from the owner. (Reason I quotation it, is because NO owner should feel it okay to conduct himself the way this one did!)As we arrived, we were greeted with awesome smiles and hellos. We definitely felt like it was a comfortable and warm environment, but that was only until we had a few sips of our ciders we ordered... about 45 seconds into them we were greeted by an individual named Steve, I believe, who I later found out was the owner. He started off very personable and nice it seemed, but in the next few visits he seemed to attempt to warm up to us (i.e. putting his hand on our shoulders, and complimenting on our looks). At first we were a bit weirded out, until we observed him inside siting at a table drinking what clearly looked like beer (which I believe is illegal?) . After that, we were a bit suspicious of the entire establishment. He continued to go around and talk to other customers, and it seemed as though he would be especially close and warm to women. We were VERY reluctant when another employee would be at our table, before the owner had a chance to stop.Needless to say, we are very indifferent on returning to the Hoppy, and I do apologize... but if we do return, it will only be made if the owner is not present.So if any ladies are reading this, and are planning to have a relaxing drink outing, try and bring a man with you!

Always a lot of good options! A great variety of IPAs and Ales, and a handful of ciders, porters, etc. With their rotating taplist, your bound to find something you like!

Great selection of strong beers if youre looking to get away from your simple IPAs and Pale Ales. They also have a decent bottle selection including some foreign beers that arent the easiest to find.

A little pricey. I wasnt impressed with the customer service. Small selection of supplies to choose from. I might give them another chance in the near future, only because they are in Gresham where I live... or at least buy a pint since last time I didnt buy anything.

Trust me its a good thing when theres too many beers to choose from this is your place.
