Stopped in to grab some electric guitar strings, as I was in the area. Immediately appreciated the vibe; a customer (Im assuming) was playing/testing a potential guitar purchase with extreme competence, providing my shopping experience with a warm, pleasant acoustic accompaniment.Now, I am a complete musical novice, so it was nice to talk to the owner, who knew what the heck I needed and helped me find the right type of strings for my Schecter Damien Platinum-6 Special. Unfortunately I failed to grab his name, but his friendly and welcoming demeanor seemed heartfelt, in a way that most retail experiences lack, such that I dont see myself shopping elsewhere in the future for my musical needs. While Gresham is a little out of the way, Id rather reward small business excellence over commercial convenience any day of the week.Sure, I only purchased two sets of strings, but my five-minute foray here was more impactful than any shopping experience in recent memory. I will definitely be back!

Okay, so firstly, if you want a great time and a guy that knows a lot of stuff about guitars/bass guitars, COME HERE because this place has everything you may need. Pedals! Bass and Guitars! Cases! Cables! Amplifiers! Strings and tuning! Seriously, come here if you have any sort of need for you and your instrument. They even have repairs!

Our new go-to shop after moving here. The shop is super comfortable and Shine (the Owner) took the time to sit us down, find out exactly what we’re looking for, tell us all about the company of our selection, and genuinely cares about finding the right selection for you. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and to top it off the prices are phenomenal.

This place is awesome. He sells guitars that you would not conventionally find at guitar center. But the guitars he sells are top quality for less money. I called and asked if they had a certain guitar and instead of saying no we don’t carry it he gets rude and says I have to go to a dealer. Well how do I know your a dealer or not if I don’t call and ask. He had an attitude and I won’t ever call or go into this store. He told me its like buying a Chevy I go to a Chevy store. The name of your store isn’t We only sell Fender guitars. It’s not Fender Guitar Shop so stop with the attitude. My brother went in to get his guitar fixed and the guy didn’t know how so he took it elsewhere. Catch more customers with honey bucko.

Been to many music and guitar stores far and wide, this is the only one I keep coming back to for all my needs. Kindest store owner in the entire state! My banjo now sounds like it did straight out of the box. Id equate giving this store anything less than a 5 star review with having a serious personality disorder.

Been going to Shine for 3 years now. Hes worked on all of my guitars and takes a lot of care to make them look and sound like new. I like going in to have to strings changed so I dont have look for pieces of string everywhere and to talk with Shine.

Terrific experience, I havent been to a guitar store in many years. Shine took my old acoustic and made it sound great with new strings and some tweeking adjustments. Thankyou Shine for all the work you put into my guitar.

Gresham Guitar offers excellent service and a super guitar-friendly atmosphere. Just walk in and feel at home. They have a great selection for acoustic and electric lovers-plus a really sweet vintage Kay guitar. They offer great lessons too. You wont go wrong here.

He does an outstanding job to provide whatever he can, and if its out of his scope, he gives a few recommendations as to where to go to get your needs met. This guy was amazing he offered tea and a back room to play the guitars to see if we liked them and he played three different kinds of acoustic until I found the one I liked to show the difference between them he threw in a stand and picks for free and was so nice and show me a few tricks and was just a great guy Im recommend anyone to go here for a guitar you will not be let down, shine is amazing

Best guitar shop Ive ever gone to. Shine is a breath of fresh air in what can seem a very stagnent and condescending industry. Every time Ive ever gone into his shop I leave twice as happy as I expected. He setup my guitar for me today and fixed my loose Input jack ( 2 others told me this was normal/unfixable) and at half the price of any competitor. Go in once and youll see the reason for the loyal following and 5 stars!

Shine runs a fantastic place, he provides Great customer service and is extremely knowledgeable. I went in thier with my son and 2 unhealthy fender electric gituars and In about 45 minutes both gituars were fixed.
