Stop by the liquor store thats a store over from them and thought I would pop my head in just to browse and get hackled and threatened to be shot in the back if I tried anything and then told Im just joking with you you want to talk about a completely uncomfortable experience

Good deals on some guns, over priced on most others. What I couldn’t stand were the non stop rude comments directed at my brother in law and other customers. Then when I ask for a box of overpriced ammo was told “that is only for customers who buy guns” then turns and walks away. Even though my brother just bought a firearm. Will never return, would rather give money to any other business.

I am all about supporting the smaller business shops but I will not support a shop who wanted $150.00 for a box of 1000 large pistol primers. I would have been willing to pay over price due to how hard it is to get any reloading supply’s at this time but that is a rip off.

Absolutely horrible... my dad went there in January and they have been stalling for 3 months. When he asked for his money back they said $180 (20%)for a restocking fee. We will pay the restocking and wont be back

COVID warning, business does not enforce mask wearing for employees or customers, stay away if you have at risk family!Outside of covid, this was one of the worst interactions Ive had with a business in the area. I am new to the hobby and when I came with money in hand ready to pay for help with signing up for classes, finding the right gear, and getting started in the correct way with them, I was completely dismissed. I was told didnt do my research when I made it very clear right from the start that Im new, lost, and would like to start with the classes here and grow safely.The person I talked to had no time for me, didnt let me speak, didnt listen to what I was looking for, wrote me off entirely, and literally took a phone call while we were talking. While talking he was condescending, insanely rude, and at one point when I asked just what the timeline could be of finishing a class/owning a sporting rifle he just said If I really could order this stuff, do youd think Id have no inventory. This is unacceptable, absolute joke of an experience and is a prime example of arrogance and superiority complexes over someone just asking for help.Go to Keiths sporting goods or Allison and careey gun works, much better experience there

I chose to give 2 stars based off their selection alone. I did not appreciate the scare tactics used by the salesman in attempt coerce me into buying a rifle or ammunition. Also, what stood out to me was the terrible advice he gave me for “self defense”. He suggested I buy a 6.5 creedmoore bolt action rifle (a rifle geared toward long range precision with an effective range around 1200 meters) for “self defense”. Considering the vast majority of self defense situations occur within arms reach of your adversary, it seemed as though he was suggesting more of a murder weapon. Good luck explaining yourself to a judge that you killed someone over 100 meters in “self defense”. This was extremely wreck less advice that worries me, and if I were not an experienced gun owner but rather a naive first time buyer this kind of advice could potentially do great harm.

My husband and I went in earlier this week to “look” at getting a gun for his birthday. We walked in with this idea in our head that we won’t get great service and probably will leave frustrated and empty handed. As a gay man, in a biracial marriage, this has been our experience (although it shouldn’t matter) in other gun shops around town. NOT here...this place is awesome. Great service. Great selection. Great prices. And most importantly, very knowledgeable and friendly. We left with not only one firearm and all the accessories, but two, with all the accessories and supplies we needed/wanted. I finally have time to write a review, but about 3 months ago I went in browsing for a handgun to replace the one i had at that time. Ive live in gresham my whole life but have never been into AFT before. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted nicely and taken cared off. As I was handling a couple of their handguns, they did not rush me nor try to sell me on anything. I have been to many gunshops where you can tell they just want you to hurry up, but the truth is, if im going to spend my hard earn money I would like to make sure the gun fits me. The best gun shop in Gresham

Visited this shop for the first time. Great guys. Easy going atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable compared to most and I made a purchase. I’ll be stopping here again when I’m in the area.

Bought my first AR platform rifle here a few years back. I was bent set at the time on buying a Colt LE6920 but the gentleman here highly recommended a base model Aero Precision and offered me a great deal. I did some research for a couple of days and then came back and bought it. I have since sold that particular firearm but I learned how to build by disassembling it and spending 3 months over winter time learning the platform. These guys are good guys and will earn your business with good old fashioned customer service.

I have been in AFT store several times. Yes they are laid back, yes they are retired, but no they are not grumpy. From my observations they are for the most part retired police officers with a wealth of knowledge of guns. Training for a CDL is given by experienced instructors who know what happens on the street. Everyone who carries open or concealed should be trained and know the laws. So why the comments about Arizona. Yous should also add Utah. Getting a concealed permit from Oregon, Arizona and Utah expands your right to carry in just over half the states. So why not get those permits while you are in training. You never know if and when you will need them or not. I have no complaints about the Advanced Firearms Training, the store and the employees.

My favorite place to go! I took my Oregon and Utah Concealed carry classes here, they were both very informative and fun.. Shop owner Tony is very knowledgeable and he takes the time to get to know you and your specific needs, very personable and more than willing to take the time to help you make an informed purchase. Ive never felt like hes there to just take my money, but to make me a responsible, smart gun owner. My boyfriend and I even like going there just to hang out with him and his adorable shop dog Sonny who will greet you at the front door!

Just moved to the area and after visiting 4 shops this is the only one I would say is worth visiting. Even brought the girl friend the next time to give the simulator a try. The advice and instruction was very well delivered and I would recommend any one looking to improve their shooting to visit. The best training class in Oregon. You will definitely not get bored in Tonys class. Very informative and encompasses all aspect for concealed carry. He also has a wide selection of guns and ammos available and helps you with the selection as he is very knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed.

The gentlemen at AFT are fantastic. We stayed at the hotel next door and stopped over to browse, and ended up purchasing a handgun that had to be transferred back to our home state. Everyone at the shop was so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, even while our home store was jerking them around. Kudos to these guys for being so welcoming and professional. And it doesnt hurt that they have a shop dog who loves belly rubs! Thank you everyone!

If you want top notch customer service and to be treated like a valued customer then go to AFT. If you want to be treated with indifference and dont mind going unacknowledged then go to the other gun store in Gresham. I stopped in AFT to buy a collapsible baton and decided to browse some of the pistols they had on display. Even though I stated I was just looking the person helping me took the time to show me several guns he thought might fit my needs. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything. I plan on returning soon to purchase one of the pistols he showed me. AFT is one of a dying breed of shops that still believe in the concept of earning your business by treating customers with dignity and respect.

AFT is the place to go if you need firearms training for the first timer or even an expert needing a bit of help. Tony helped my wife and I over some hurdles with out handgun shooting and handling skills. Both of us now shoot much better and will soon take part in a USPSA competition. I really enjoyed the consealed carry class I took at advanced firearm training. The instructor is super experienced, knowledgeable and professional. He taught the class in a way thats informative and practical, placed an emphasis on safety, responsibility and the laws. A lot of engaging discussions and senario based learnings made the four hours class flew by quickly! This course is definitely super helpful to gun owners! Thank you!

My wife and grandmother took the Oregon CHL class here. After hearing what they were talked into I was disappointed. They went in wanting to get their Oregon license and were then sold on the Arizona class as well. My wife works in WA and my grandmother travels into WA frequently. They were told that they need to get the AZ license so they could carry legally. This is untrue. WA doesnt honor Oregon OR Arizona permit. So they sold they enrollment into the AZ class that night at an extra fee. Seems like they just want to take money from a 78 year old lady and an unknowing woman. I will not be doing business here.

I have purchased new and used guns from Tony and I am always been blown away by the one on one service you get. You are never made to feel inferior because you might not be as well informed as the next person. I recently took my wife in to purchase her first handgun and Tony made her feel quite at ease. Answered all of her questions without once making her feel small or inferior. The store was full of guys making purchases, swapping stories and Tonys focus was entirely on making my wife feel comfortable with the gun she picked out and what to expect from it. She commented on the way home what a positive place and experience it was, which is high praise since she is a fairly skeptical lady. 5 stars all the way around!!

Ive been going to AFT for 2.5 years now and Tony has always taken care of me. Ive taken his Oregon, Utah, and Az ccw classes. Ive trained extensively in the video scenario training. Ive bought, sold and traded guns there. And have taken lessons at a live fire range with him. I wont go to another gun store, period!

Tony is exceedingly knowledgeable, experienced, and down to earth. The firearms training class I took focused on awareness, safety, and practical everyday considerations while teaching how to handle oneself during stressful situations.

Not sure what is wrong with William delvin, but Ill drive from Hillsboro just to go to this shop. Took my chl classes here, very informative. Every Time I go in whether its for a new competition gun or a new carry piece the staff are very helpful, even with helping me change my grip and draw stroke without charge. Theres probably 5 to 10 gun shops between Hillsboro and Gresham and I gladly pass them to go to this shop. Great place, great service, will continue to shop here.
