The staff was nothing less than professional. They performed the most extensive eye exam I have ever had. Dr. Baldwin made me feel at ease. He referred me to the finest cataract surgeon in the area.

Im 50. Ive been wearing glasses or contacts since I was 12, so Ive been to many optometrists over the years. I dont ever recall walking away from an eye appointment thinking what a pleasant experience it was like I did after my first visit to DePoe Eye Center in Griffin. Dr DePoe was extremely nice, attentive to my concerns, and very detailed in explaining his advice to me. His front desk receptionist and assistant were also extremely nice and professional. Would highly recommend them!

Super irritated about this place. I made an appointment at least a month in advance, and am in need of an exam since it has been about 10 years. I only wear glasses occasionally, so have good eye health. My insurance covers one exam a year, but when I arrived, they wanted me to pay an extra $39 for a medical eye exam that had nothing to do with the reason I was there. I said that I did not want that service, but the woman at the front desk said that there were no exceptions and that someone should have told me when I made the appointment. I told her that no one had communicated that to me and her response was that they could cancel my appointment for the day. Out of principle, I left and will make an appointment elsewhere.

Love this place. The staff is friendly and amazingly patient. I needed contacts, glasses and safety glasses for work. Im not a difficult person but I am VERY indecisive. The ladies worked with me and gave me the time I needed, along with suggestions, to make my decision. Dr. DePoe listened to my concerns about my eyes and glasses and explained what and how different things were affecting my eyesight and what I could do to improve situation. Everything here was wonderful.

Horrible horrible place. Waited over 3 hours and was treated like a 4 year old. Scolded repeatedly for not getting an eye exam often enough. I think after waiting 3 hours on a WORK day and spending over $400 with my insurance that I should get decent treatment. Dont waste your time and go to Walmart instead.

I have always had a good experience with the staff and Doctors. They are always very friendly. I do feel like they take the time to talk to me and answer any questions that I may have. My only complaint is the wait time.

I have nothing but good things to say about Depoe Eye Center (Griffin). Ive been a patient for over 10 years. They never disappoint. Dr. Depoe is GREAT! Shannon is always so helpful and friendly! My wait times have always been reasonable. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of frames as well! I went in on a Tuesday for my appointment this year and ordered my new glasses and received a phone call that Friday that they were ready for pick up! I highly recommend!

When we got there at 3:45 there were no parking spots and no seats to wait in in the waiting room. I was told it would not be long. We were there until almost 6pm and were the last to leave in the dark parking lot which we had to park in the back on the lawn. They do not have enough help when it comes to filling your prescription glasses with them. Just one person. She takes the patients and anyone who comes in off the street to get glasses which is not fair to the patients who are there for an appointment to get same. The help were all very kind though, and Dr. Depoe was very thorough and very nice and knowledgeable. I just wish they communicated the wait time and offered us to come back at a different time to limit the wait we had incurred. It was just an off day for them, but they are very, very nice and helpful other than the delay.

The young lady at the front desk, Angela, was very helpful and polite. I will definitely be getting my new eye glasses at Depoe eye center

Well this will be the 3rd time Ive posted a review about this place, seems to mysteriously disappears. But I think you should know this was the worst experience Ive ever had at an eye clinic in my life. They rob you and take advantage of you and dont care about nobody or nothing but the money they bring in. Very expensive products as well. Wait time was ridiculous. And the lobby stunk. Rude employees. I will continue to check back and if my post becomes deleted Ill post again and again, thats how awful it was. They lied to us to have us pay moreMoney. This place is a JOKE. Crooks. And the parking was awful!!!

I have been going to Dr. Depoe the past few years, and I have never had any problems at all. They have excellent staff & doctors! I ordered my contacts & glasses from them as well, and they had them to me in no time! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good optometrist.

Horible just or fake place not only do they lie bit they have hinder my son from seeing clearly I have a 8year old son I had them fill his prescription for his glasses a boy being a boy he managed to break the glasses at the arms mind you the lenses were not named at all just the cheep plastic arms we took them to see if we can get them fixed they said sire and sent them off we go to pick them up today and they tell us that the lenses were missing and we have to pay to replace them........ No they were not missing when we dropped them off to be repaired but so.e how they at missing now my son needs those glasses to see at school my insurance only covers one pair so I now have to pay out of pocket to replace them they are crooks and need to be shut down

The staff is friendly and professional. Was very attentive to my needs.

They worked hard to upsell me to Eyezen (Dr Baldwin asked me the same question 4 times pushing the feature, and even their appointment reminder emails push it), which made my lenses completely useless - everything was super blurry, everywhere on the lenses. And it took 2 trips back to the office to get it corrected - they apparently didnt verify that the requested changes were performed before having me make another trip to the office.They were super nice throughout, but overall it was not a great experience

Not a place to go ever! insurance or not. heard staff clearly say to another customer they had to make money! yeah i get that but the value of a $$ is more to them than anything! i have insurance and still do not have the right glasses i need! avoid if possible!

This is my second pair of glasses from Depoe and I love Most of their selection. Last time I went, I had alot of options. This time I felt like I was trying on kid glasses. Most of the legs were too short, they didnt comfortably fit on my ears. Anyways the lady who helps with frames saved the day. But they probably should get more frames. I always have morning appts so I never wait too long and My exams are effective and fast. After reading the reviews, Im not even sure we are all speaking of the same place/people, Depoe is great

I have been going to DePoe Eye Center for about 1-1/2 yrs. When i first started my eyes were so blurry - due to being dry from Lasik surgery and chemotherapy that I could not see to read anything, even with reading glasses. After several trips and using several different types of eye drops my eyes are doing so much better and it is all thanks to Dr. DePoe! I am now back in glasses but I would rather be in glasses and able to see than not have them and my vision be blurred!!! The staff is always freindly and will help wheever possible!

My son wears contacts for astigmatism and nearsightedness. Its a special boric lens. We went on vacation to Puerto Rico. My son tore one of his contacts. He is a teenager and didnt think to bring more than one pair. We called Dr.Depoe. They said they would fax the Rx to an optometrist in PR and they did. Several optometrists offices in PR didnt have that boric lens. Luckily, Dr. Depoes office offered to mail the contacts to PR and saved my sons vacation. I knew Dr Depoes office did a good job, but I was really impressed that they were caring and compassionate to go the extra mile for my son. Its hard to find that kind of dedication.
