Usually a pretty good place. Yesterday they only had 2 people working and the store was a bit of a mess due to the very large sale they were having.

Nice folks. Cramped aisles. Hit or miss on finding what you went in for. Not bad overall.

Prices were wrong when items rang up. I paid and left before realizing. I call the girls at the store and they promtly told me to come back in and they would make it right. Always a pleasant experience when shopping here.

So dollar general is one of my favorite places to shop not only because many things are very cheap but I have found a few outdated/expired. Most of the employees are very great except for the older tall man with glasses he like goes into stress freak out mode and has an attitude when he gets stressed. I have also saw a lot misplaced products on every trip I go to that have been there for well over 3 weeks. I dont know if Ill shop here much when dollar tree opens just because its called dollar general but its seems like items are actually very pricey there than what the point of calling it dollar general or dollar anything for that matter.

This is directed to the Grinnell, Iowa location.They have a sign on their entrance stating all customers must have a mask on to enter, but why in the hell dont the 3 working employees have a mask on???Also the cashier didnt have a clue as to certain sale priced items.I only shop there because of a few bargains for my animals food otherwise avoid them because of being a very dirty store with very low quality workers.Not a place to frequent for general shopping.

Always fun going to Dollar General. They have such a wide variety of items. Always take time to look around. Will continue to go there.

I love the store. It has just about everything you need, the stuff is easy to find, and you can get in and out quickly. Its great!

I have not been there for awhile, but was I surprised. The 2 gals that were working there this afternoon were outstanding. They went above and beyond to take care of what I was looking for. What a difference.

It is a nice store. I t is easy to get in and out. Since I am just there when I have business in Marshalltown, a lot if the times I miss their specials on new items. I like the Dollar Stores, never come out empty handed.

Cheap stuff, some of it costs way more than a dollar... Plus they tax too. I think they sell booze.

Theres usually friendly smiles working, however the new rule of having to leave large bags/purses upfront with a complete stranger isnt okay and I understand why this is done. I feel that the pros list is way shorter than the cons list n I know u will probs loose business that way. I know I cut down my shopping their due to that. Also I thought this was a Dollar General?! So tell me why its almost impossible to find anything that only cost a dollar, clearance section is still priced at over 2.00$ . Ur store ideas n prices suck ass n really I could live my life with out the hastle so I just may never go bak

Often times very disorganized with carts of things scattered throughout the store. Never a cashier at the register when your ready to check out. Staff is not very friendly, often time more concerned with their phone or friends they have visiting them while they are working. Disappointing if you have shopped at other Dollar Generals before.
