We Stayed in Yucca Valley for 4 days and we came here almost every day, the coffee and food was that good. Very chill vibe with indoor and outdoor seating, and a nice little clothing / souvenir shop attached. We literally ordered the BLT every time we came because we enjoyed it that much, the Cold brew and matcha lattes were great as well. The staff was extremely friendly. We will be back!

Funny thing, I saw they had a board for chocolate muffin and I ordered it, it was a blueberry muffin, I didnt mind but maybe they can change the board

Unique and chill coffee shop/restaurant in Yucca Valley. Their chai lattes are really great, as are their americanos. They have a lot of good food choices as well. Their breakfast sandwiches are very filling! Also, the Green Dream is an epic sandwich. Everything tastes like they use super fresh ingredients. Definitely a great place for a quick meal or a coffee. Nice staff too!

Went on a hot hot hot day, and loved their cooling bagel and herb cream cheese. The staff was so sweet, unpretentious, and joyful to receive my appreciation of their food! The bagel was stuffed with cream cheese. Most places skimp on the cream cheese, but not this cafe! The bagel was bursting with flavors! The uplifting music, soothing decor and interesting trinkets made it a lovely experience!! :-)

Stumbled upon this place just cause it was too hot at the campground to make breakfast and I was only too glad it was hot outside. Signature inventive dishes, the best of the four that we ordered was the avacado tartine sandwich. The salad was so fresh that it tasted like the leaves were harvested today morning. A textbook definition of a millennial place you will see the most coolest of crowds/tattoos/music, games, paintings, old time postcards etc, it is also very family friendly. A must try place if you are in Joshua tree and are looking for a unique hip place to eat.

To me theres 3 types of coffee shops. Corporate Starbucks types, third wave craft coffee, and 90s Seattle grunge/Friends coffee shops. This place is the ladder. Nice place to get a cuppa Joe and a sandwich and get some work done or read for a few hours. I camped in J tree the night prior and enjoyed a nice cup of drip while reading on the front patio. The road is loud, but I still enjoyed it.

You know - Im sad to have this realization - Im over Frontier Cafe. And yes, the hipsters are always lining up...but while Ie been feeling for a while that the food has become meh...todays experience was like - Im over it.Still as of 5/16/21 Frontier Cafe does not offer indoor seating - or (or!) outdoor seating. Sure, fair enough - its their business. They can do what they want. But then we were told it was going to take 30 minutes for the food to come out. OK. I guess. 30 minutes for B food. It is what it is. Especially with no competition in the immediate area. But then - heres what broke me. Theres no restroom to use.Not just out of order but no, you can not use our bathroom, while you wait 30 minutes for your food. And its been this way for a year.If youre going to have no indoor, seating, no outdoor seating at least have a bathroom open. 76 Gas Station I guess one ups you there, huh?Natural Sisters cafe if way better imop - the food is actually worth traveling to (and theyve had a working bathroom since they opened).

Really friendly staff and cool little place. Found the coffee to be inconsistent though - different barista I presume. First time my flat white was good, today the milk was burned - couldn’t hold the cup it was that hot. If you can’t hold the cup on a milk based coffee, it has been overheated and that burnt tastes permeates.

I used to frequent this cafe almost daily pre-pandemic. I would have meetings here, cowork out of here, meet friends here… and now the staff is unfriendly, the prices have sky rocketed, the coffee (which used to be my favorite in the high desert) has totally gone south… and it’s a shame because it feels like the end of an era. The institution that was frontier is not servicing the local community but rather grabbing at tourist dollars. I can handle price increases, but when your staff is rude it’s a no go for me. Such a shame.

A little coffee stop in a big LA expectation. This little gem is a homey type coffee stop before you head up to Pioneertown. With great vegan and vegetarian options. They have a really nice selection of beers and drinks that are comforts of the city. The only downside (which shouldnt be a downside) is that their small kitchen cant keep up with the fast food, fast paced demands of the tourists who pile in by the dozens and expect a converbelt to give them their food. The food is hand crafted just like the drinks and they do a phenomenal job! I hate watching how impatient people can be when they expect that theyre at a sbucks.. when they clearly came here because the drive through alone there, would take them 25 min.I love stopping in for coffee and now that summer is here I cant wait to sit inside and have a prickly pear palmer with my friends! The girls there are friendlier than these reviews give them credit for. 10/10 would recommend!
