I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. In short: perfect color match (that Benjamin Moore couldnt do) and quick service and turn around. The deets: I came in late on a Saturday to Nick who offered to help me get something turned around the next day. He promised to call me. At noon the next day, he called (Sunday) and said he got close to the match but really Megan was the Color-Matching Guru and that on Monday shed take a stab at it and let me know. Sure enough, Monday comes, I come to the store and Megan is there. Shes helping not one, but 2 other people with grace and efficiency. I walk up, she shows me the work she and Nick did and how they matched it, EXACTLY. All of this work, 8 different test colors for a simple $20 quart of paint. It may mean nothing to them, it meant EVERYTHING to us. Benjamin Moore didnt give us the time of day, rushed to try and match the color, and left us hanging with a terrible match. Cannot say enough positive things about Nick, Megan (shes amazing at what she does), and the staff here. (Also to note, their hours are MUCH more convenient than other local spots). Trust them. Go. Now.

This store is not only conveniently located but always has a knowledgeable staff to assist you. No matter how busy they always greet you and let you know they will assist you shortly The paint is very high quality (used Emerald) and goes on easily with a beautiful finish (used eggshell in the two bedrooms we painted). Highly recommend.

Update: I’m changing this review from 5 stars to 1. There were strange defects with the paint I purchased, Megan certainly wasn’t as professional anymore or kind about it. THATS when you see true customer service, when there are mistakes and how people handle it. I wouldn’t shop at any SW again.

The staff is wonderful! They were very attentive and professional. Someone should be handing out raises over there.

Megan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about paint finishes and colors. She helped me to coordinate colors for most of my home. I highly recommend her and her team.

This store (Grosse Pointe branch) has to have the worst customer service and most unprofessional manager I have experienced in a long while. Bought 4 gallons of their best paint @ $295. One of the gallons would not mix; stayed almost white. Don’t know why; might have been mixed incorrectly or just a bad gallon. Returned the gallon of paint and asked for a new one to be mixed with the same formula. The manager refused; told me it would cost money and he wanted to see if he could ‘eyeball’ and try match the color using the same gallon. He could not to my satisfaction and still refused to replace the gallon. I argued with him for almost a half hour and finally I got a new gallon of paint. Customer Service is extremely important when you’re shopping at an establishment and if their customer service is severely lacking, than I for one will never return. I would have given them 0 stars if I could. That was my experience at this particular chain.

Their current line of low voc paint separate quickly, we have been told to have pant shaken if it sits for a while. This location refused to shake the opened cans of paint. They feared that lid would come off and they would have to clean their machine.I do not have either of these problems with better brands of paint.
