I revisited this location yesterday and found a nice selection of fresh seafood. They look like they process a lot of fish here. Well organized, friendly, pleasant seafood smells. We got a dozen Oysters and some triple tail that looked very fresh. Cant wait to come back! Pictured are my Southern Oysters Rock & Sweet Pot Crusted triple tail with pot puree English peas, lemon-truffle sauce.

We were so pleasantly surprised coming in today. We had no idea what to expect when we googled a local fish market and picked this one. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helped us pick out some fish to try based on what we were wanting to do on the grill. They were also just friendly and down to earth. We thoroughly enjoyed being there and had a super delicious red snapper for dinner. Thank you guys so much. We can’t wait to come back!

This is the best seafood market in Pinellas county. They have a wide selection of fresh fish at reasonable prices. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I recently bought a good amount of fish for a boating trip, and they portioned, vacuum-sealed, and froze the fish for our trip. Great place!

We went there yesterday after google fish markets. This one seemed promising. Upon entering its clean and looks nice. We ended up getting some whole fish. We specifically asked the guy if the fish was scaled and gutted. We asked a couple of times. We were told that it was both scaled and gutted. Clearly from the photos that was not at all true. Scaling fish is annoying in a home setting which is why we asked. Now we have scales all over our kitchen.

I love this place. They have an excellent selection of fresh fish. They also have clams, oysters and shrimp along with fresh squid tubes, scallops and more. We like to buy the frozen seaweed salad, frozen gator and conch! They also have a limited selection of wine from which to choose.

This is a great place, with high quality seafood.Use to go 2-3 a week because I like to eat fresh seafood.Unfortunately they changed their hours so they now close at 5pm from 6pm making it impossible for most people who work a 9-5pm job to go.

The Smoke Fish Spread is absolutely amazing. It was a hit! Theyve got so much to choose from. Itll be exciting to try new things. The Mahi Mahi was phenomenal! The location is super easy to find with gps. Its super clean inside and the staff is very personable. Gives for a comfortable experience.

Theyve expanded the store and now offer beer, wine, cheese and cured meats. Basically, you can still get all of your fresh seafood along with enough for appetizers, picnic or charcuterie board.

This was our fist visit here. Super clean and super friendly. I havent had a chance to cook up what we got but Im excited to try the crab cakes for sure.

We found this wonderful seafood market through Google maps and are happy that we did. We picked up mangrove snapper which was fresh and delicious - we grilled it with lemon butter and spices. We also got a small container of smoked fish dip which is excellent. We plan to return to get more dip and more fresh seafood. Gulf Coast Seafood is our new go-to place for seafood.

Very clean with good fresh selection of all kinds of seafood. Staff is very accommodating. They package your selection in sealed bags and give you ice to keep everything cold. Probably one of the best seafood places in Pinellas.

This is my go to place for fresh seafood in St Petersburg. Always smells clean inside, no fishy smell like some other places nearby. Picked up some Norwegian Salmon, PEI mussels, and middleneck clams for Thanksgiving.

Not under you nose, not only when youre helping a customer, but all the time while at work, selling raw fish.Your customers do it, return the respect.1 star because its so infuriating to now have to drive all the way to Pinellas Park for fresh snapper and pay more money for less selection just cuz you wont follow the rules.Stop playing around Florida. Just moved from Ft. Lauderdale looking for a replacement of great quality, customer service seafood and we have found our replacement. They were extremely helpful to any question and concerns we had. We got stone crabs at an amazing price and they were excellent.

It was so clean and everything was fresh. I bought 2 pounds of the jumbo shrimp. I cooked one # in a butter garlic sauce. It was delicious. Served it over basmati brown rice. The fish spread...Excellent! I will be back.

Travelled to St. Pete on business, decided to buy some fresh fish to take home on airplane, found this great seafood market on google. Called them up to see if they could pack it up in an airline approved container so I could take on plane as checked baggage. The employees there did a fantastic job of neatly packing it into a cooler and sealing it up for the flight back home. The fish arrived in perfect condition, imagine it would have probably made it an additional 3-4 days.All of the fish was fresh and the store was very clean, no fishy smell anywhere.Only regret is I did not get the employees names as they deserve credit on how polite and accommodating they were. Will definitely be back next trip.

The death is always friendly and helpful. We go there every Thanksgiving and Christmas for our traditional shrimp to go with her holiday. The prices stay the same the quality of shrimp stays the same which is excellent fresh and wonderful and I thank them for always being polite and helpful even when theyre at their busiest time. I wont go anywhere else

We stopped in for the first time, in search of fresh seafood to grill. On first impression, the wide assortment of fish and shellfish was fresh and the staff was helpful and friendly. We bought some salmon and cod for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back!**Side note: Our car battery had died when we went to leave. I went back in for ice for the fish and Cliff was kind enough to give us a jump. Now that is an extra service! We are very grateful and look forward to including fresh seafood in our weekly menus.

Once you taste the seafood at Gulf Coast it is seriously hard to eat it from anywhere else... including a nice restaurant. I now ask my favorite restaurants where they are getting their seafood from because I never realized what a difference FRESH makes to the taste and quality. The staff is always so helpful and the new retail store is clean and easy to pop in and out. Thank you for taking the extra effort to make your seafood exceptional!

A bright, clean place with friendly staff. Lots of things in the freezer case - soups, several kinds of appetizer fish. For fresh fish, the selection is pretty limited and prices are just ok, though shrimp is a good buy. I prefer Save On Seafood because of a wider fresh fish selection and they offer pieces at a great price.

Nice fresh selection. Overall great prices and there are always special. Nice service. Packaged in recyclable ice package and always with a complimentary lemon. Tricky to find, but worth it.

I got some fish from Gulf Coast Seafood in Gulfport and I was shucked that it was oldWhen I was cleaning the fish it was smelly but I still cooked itAnd that was the big mistake I didWe could not eat it it was very old could not believe itYou walk in to a fresh market to get fresh fish and this is what happenI took it back to them today and they gave me hard time about having a receipt unbelievably is this about a receipt or about customer satisfactionPlease tell me guys who keep receipt for food, I don’t cause when I buy for is to eat it not to think of returning it .No one apologize to me or care to ask what can they do to fix it or offer a fresh fish to try it.They were looking for there receipt and teaching their employee how to issue a credit

Fantastic prices for the best seafood around! Lots of variety, great people and it doesnt get much fresher. Their retail market is in the same location as their wholesale business so chances are the fish you get was cut in the morning.

We love gulf coast! We’ve shopped there for a few years now and they’re always really helpful and the fish is always very fresh. They’ve recently added sushi and we were blown away by how good it is that I had to write a review. We ordered tuna, salmon and yellowtail as sashimi and a spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll. Everything was very fresh and perfectly prepared. In my opinion the best sushi in town.

Just left Gulf Coast Seafood and I will be returning next week for more. I have typically gone to a local competitor and Gulf Coast not only exceeds the other place in price, but their customer service is outstanding. My fish was placed in a vacuum sealed bag. The steamers were packaged with ice without my even asking. A whole lemon was included in every persons order that I could see. The store is clean, the fish looked amazingly fresh with lots of local and wild caught selections, and there was plenty of help. This is my new go-to fish market!

Bought seafood twice while they were at Corey Ave. Farmers Market in St. Pete Beach. Very fresh and delicious. They also were very helpful with cooking instructions and answered every question I asked.

Small but unique selection of basics like salmon and shrimp to monkfish and whole hogfish. Prices are great, on this particular day I got some salmon strips for $5/lb, large shrimp for $8/lb, and black grouper for $18/lb. Some of the fish is farmed, which is not unusual, but they did tell me their snapper and grouper was locally caught. They pack it well and give you lemons which was really nice. Definitely going back.

Hands down the best experience with a seafood market ever experienced!! I am a native Southwest Floridian (die hard fisherman)now living out West in the desert. Visited the St. Pete area a few weeks ago and found Gulf Coast Seafood on Google. Called up and pre-ordered five pounds of Black Grouper. Came in the day I was traveling back and picked up additional Hogfish and Jumbo Shrimp along with other items. They Vacuum sealed my fish as I requested and had perfect gulf seafood for a week!! As noted in earlier posts the store is immaculate, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the fish is the finest and freshest I have ever purchased!!Thank you, we will definitely be visiting again every time in town!!!!

Gulf Coast Seafood is THE top tier source for truly fresh seafood in the Tampa Bay area! Ive had the pleasure of personally touring their facility I Gulfport and was able to observe first hand the care they take in every step of the preparation process. They are fanatical about cleanliness and tracking the source of all of their products. They purchase whole, fresh fish directly from the boats so they are able to personally attest to the authenticity of the species. As a previous executive with responsibility for all purchasing at the 10 hospital BayCare Health System, I can tell you they are truly the best of the best.
