IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE EVER. I LOVED IT. They have amazing stuff. affordable prices, cute clothes and toys, they have a little of each and the staff is amazing!!! friendly and clean ^_^
I absolutely love this place, it’s my favorite thrift store in the area, by far! There are 2 things I have an issue with and both seem to be a common complaint, so I do hope that they will take the time to actually address the issues people are telling them, rather than just commenting back saying some generic thing to make the customer feel “heard” … please hear us & listen!!The prices: The reason people usually go to thrift stores is because they’re struggling financially. I understand that you have to make money / a profit, but you guys don’t even remodel your store or anything & you receive 100% profit off of this stuff… seemingly nothing is put back into the integrity of the store. Everything is still the same as it was 20 years ago. I can’t even imagine how much profit is being made here. (Where does it go?) The prices are jacked up so high, sometimes I’ve seen the same item brand new in store for cheaper! How is this fair and who controls this stuff? The sale days are great, but you can’t use a coupon on sale days… which really stinks. Please consider lowering the prices just a tad bit.The sizing: it’s hard to find things in specific sizes as they’re all pretty much bunched together, this could be an issue of the customers, as I’ve seen people just throw things back on the rack that definitely don’t belong there.
Found a few things that were reasonably priced. Overall tho, I feel this spot is normally way over priced. Example, they now have pre-lit artificial Christmas trees & they are priced the same as a new one would be at say, Walmart. Or fairly close anyways. Walmart has some starting at $100 & this place has some priced at $89.99. Why not give up the extra $10 for brand new...I get you are trying to repurpose and make a profit yet some things are just ridiculously priced for donated thrift items. Whomever is in charge of pricing needs to take it down a notch and you would move so much more stuff out of that store and make room for new items. And repeat. The profit will still be there and your items will rotate in and out of the door at a much better pace. Just my opinion anyways.
They have a large selection of stuff. And the prices arent too bad especially if you buy the color tag thats on sale.
THEY HAVE A REWARDS PROGRAM! The place is always clean, the staff speak Spanish and English, and they always have price tag deals going on. Love this place ❤️
Great thriftin at this store! It is alway nice to come across a thrift store that is organized (to a certain point, as clothes arent organized by size ) and clean! The prices were a bit more expensive than most thrift stores in Chicago, but nothing outrageous. The hipster in me left the store in a state of frugal ecstasy!
Very friendly good customer service !
I wish I could give them a zero. They are very prejudice. My mom and I have been going to this store since I was a child. My mom and I are African American. For about two years now the company policies have changed and the workers are rude with no regards. They change prices and belittle me and my mom. I myself stopped spending my money in this store but my mom still shops, spends her money and makes donations to this store. This store needs to be open to more cultural and straight to the point with their sales. A customer should not be confused with purchasing anything, the price rates and percentage discounts. They need to do better.
I love shopping it saves u money
Little pricey on lots of thingsWhen you can buy it new...
This is one of my favorite thrifts to visit! Almost always find great deals! Sometimes a bit pricey for a thrift tho. They used to have a coupon from the back of a Jewel receipt and that was the totally best time and I looked forward to going so much then. Hope they bring that awesome deal back!
Love coming here, all always organized, never know what youll find. Always bring my mom here with me, she enjoys coming here. Prices are reasonable, some stuff is over priced but for the most off part going on their 50% off days are awesome. The reward point program is a bonus, get $10off your next purchase for every 💯 points earned on a full price item cannot combine offers like use $10 off coupon on 50% off day but can choose to pay full price just to use coupon. I have been coming here since I was a child and thats over 30 years now. Just love it. Dont forget to sign up for the reward program, its worth it. Youll recieve text message everytime you earned $10, also get messages on which days will be 50% off day.
Bathroom no handsoap services needs improvement need to hire more English speaking workers.
Hello thank you very much for your attention and for valuing the comments of the clients I thank you from my heart.i am very happy with excellent store.i really like the people who work there because they very good people Especially the manager of the store is an excellent person always greeted her and she greets me too
Twice i have come here to have them play games with coupons. First gave man coupon he failed to take it off when bought it up to person in charge, cashier said they have coupon they forgot. Was told hsve to bring it back again nothing could be done, i said wrong we gave it to him he never took it off, then he said oh thats right. All of a sudden she could return everything and rering and give coupon. This last time had a $10 birthday coupon. Rang it up and said cant use it on discount items. This isnt on coupon or posted in store just a dirty play to force you to buy more or ghey would mention it, not wait till you leave look at reciept to find not given and go back. Goid trick since most people wo t look and wont go back reported this practice
Been visiting this store for many years and found many great items. Its organized as well as can be, and kids tend to make a mess, but it has decent prices and with frequent promotional sales.
Store has decent stuff but some things are just really over priced. Your better off buying things brand new
The prices here are way too high. The biggest negative for me is that they don’t organize the books and they write the prices on the books themselves. A flat rate would be easier for everyone.
Good selection.
Love this place everytime I go! They are clean and organized, have great prices and great selection.
Its over priced for a thrift store but they have some nice stuff. From what I understand the area for profit place.
Big selection of items, great deals, clean store (even the restroom) and staff is always pleasant, prefer over goodwill and Salvation Army.
They are a great store i do enjoy browsing they often do discounts on weekends and weekdays up to 50% off sometimes.
What are you going to improve? The fact youre business ethics are horrible. If a price tag says $4.75, its $4.75. The cashier told me its $19.75. She accused me of changing the price. Ridiculous!
I found some pretty groovy things here AND it wasnt crazy packed. Thank Baby Jesus. Was there from about 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. So that may be a good time to go because usually during certain hours (in almost Any thrift store) it be crazy busy and way too much going on and I just cant take it. Lol. So I was a very happy camper.
Item I wanted wasnt marked so I couldnt buy it and they wouldnt price it. DISAPPOINTED
The store is open as of today May 29th. Regular hours and wear a mask is required. The store is always a great place to shop for bargains.
Excellent thrift store with reasonable pricing. Lots of great sales day, loyalty program. My only disappointment is the cleanliness of the actual store. The items are always very clean and steamed to great condition, I wish the hardware, structures, floor, door, etc. could be cleaned.
I think they over price the used, donated clothing. I also think they should donate what they dont use or sell to others in need, not throw it in the garbage.
So I go to the toys with my cousin and this lady says that we need to be with our parents, then we ask an employee if we needed to be with a grown up and she said no. So now Im just mad at her because she was just acting very rude and mean and People like that are the reason people dont come very often 😠😑 but overall the store has very good prices for things that would normally be more than $20. This store gets 5 stars but that lady was very rude and gets not even 1 star but Im not letting that rude person affect me and so I rate this store 5 stars.
Nice enough place but the pricing makes no sense. I found a little glass tray for 1.75 which was perfectly reasonable for a thrift store, but a little glass creamer was over nine dollars?! Even if it goes on sale, still way too much. Nothing justifies that especially since their inventory comes to them for free. Id give them a lot more of my business if the prices were more reality-based.
Love this place! Great merchandise at reasonable prices
Huge selection of clothing. Great prices for kids clothes and they have lots of nice brands (gap, childrens place, Carters, Old Navy). Lots of kids toys, bikes, bedding, shoes, etc. Military get 25% off every day, and they have a loyalties program. I love this place!
Ive been going to, Community Thrift for years! Although not as reasonable as they used to be, they still have great deals. You have to spend some time there and you are sure to find great deals or treasures. The check out staff are good people and I dislike it when someone attempts to abuse them. Highly recommendedHoward Posey
2 out of 5. stars.Employees WILL talk down on you under their breath if you pick something up off the Cart as they bring it out... This is ONLY an issue here.. if you go to Salvation Army or Goodwill they are perfectly fine with you picking off the rack as they bring them out.The Pricing team needs training.. Trust me no one and i mean No One is going to pay over $50 for a USED jacket from a THRIFT STORE.. if its a Mink than maybe but for a Satin jacket...Aside from the above the Cashiers are always welcoming and friendly..
Ive found some pretty good pieces for decent prices. I just wish the clothing could be sorted by sizes like some other thrift shops ive been to! Overall a good experience and a good selection of men and womens clothing
I go every other week, and I find something handy to make for Christmas Gifts. I also love books and they have a huge selection. I love everything...some times you go and no one is there but there are cars...everywhere, dont let it deceive you, go in, dont park in the front by the door because people drop off donations and you cannot get out of the parking spot.
First trip here, brought some out of town company here today, and we were all impressed by the store. A wide selection of unique items at decent prices, we bought some nice Easter stuff in the end too!
Decent, clean resale shop. Reward program saves you even more money. Will shop here again.
I love shopping here. It has awesome deals like 40% off and sometimes 50% off.
Love this place! They have so many name brand clothes, at a very great price! Organized really well too.
Of all the thrift stores and resale shops I go to, Goodwill is by far my favorite, great finds, well organized, neat and clean. And did I say great prices. 😀😁🎃
This place is awful!! I admit I’m not from around here and it is the first thrift store I’ve checked out here, but seeing all the donation trucks in the back, I know they make money, so this is probably the Standard for thrift stores in this area, so unorganized, the workers are so rude, None of the shirts in my size had price tags, maybe there are some tricks to this place like being friends with the personnel or coming so often they give you a discount and you know how to get through the disorganization I don’t know🤷🏻♀️
This is not a price friendly thrift store - it seems that they look at donated things with tags as NEW merchandise and price accordingly. I have found jeans the same price as brand new in a reputable store - does not make sense when I can go to store buy them and return them if necessary. then I also see name brand no matter how used or old seem to be pricey. I never go any more - the Salvation Army Thrift is across the street and they have better prices and the same quality, designer and new merchandise.
It ok
So I called and asked about employment the gentleman was nice the store manager Tina is a liar she said they were not hiring because she is a holding a spot for her friends what she didnt know that I was on the phone with both of them at the same time I think the company should promote the young man that answered the phone he did not discriminate she discriminated me because of my southern accent I think whatever the reason she lied even on indeed the job is posted for now hiring .
Atmosphere is on the dark side. Kinda creepy. But its huge. Not everything is well-organized but prices seem generally reasonable.
I shop here often, very good deals. Employees very friendly and helpful.
Its ok. I hope they do half off the store more often then once in awhile. We are shopping a thrift store. Not Macys. I hope the owners realize that.
This is a very large thrift store and it does have a large selection but...1) the pricing on a lot of the items is WAY too high. I saw shirts for $20 and higher. I dont care what brand it is, its still used clothing. 2) the price tags are stapled to the clothing (like salvation army), I personally dont like digging staples out of my purchases. 3) while their tags have sizes listed that they could circle to indicate the size they dont do this and you have to look at each tag separately to figure out what size it is. 4) NONE of the racks are sized at all. Theres been no attempt to size the clothing so you literally have to look through every single item. 5) the place was a bit on the dusty musty crusty side especially the fitting room. I doubt I will return to this place the only upside is the large selection but you need to have a ton of time to invest in order to find something good.
I have been coming to this thrift store for 15 years. It has always been my favorite and 5-star rates until now. Prices took a steep climb across the board within the last year for merchandise that are not worth the ticket.
Large thrift store. Have found some treasures. Will often find brand name items here. A bit on the pricey side as far as thrift stores go, unless you catch a sale.
Good values and quality used clothes are usually available there. Just a bit disorganized and crowded racks. But worth the inconveniences because of the great prices.
For me, kind of pricey but they have a lot of great finds and maybe there workers keeps the most awesome finds.. cleanliness is a no for me, I understand its by the road but could use some dustings and swepting
Its rusty looking, but the service and merch. are worth the stop and shop. I was cared for like I was in a regular retail store. Great job, thrift shop.
I have gone to this store many times and have spent plenty of money there, but no more. The people who work there are the worst. So rude and arrogant. Recently my friend and I went there, it was her first time. She chose something to purchase and I told her to watch her cart, because people sometimes take things out. She just had her back to the cart and when she turned around, the item was gone. She told an employee what was missing and described it when I noticed a woman near her who had it hidden in her cart with a large quilt over it. I went and took it back and this woman, Mexican of course had the nerve to go to the counter and say it was hers. Long story short, the young man,(manager?) took it from us and said he couldnt sell it because of the controversy. They always favor the Mexicans and believe me it is like being in Mexico when you go there. Such arrogance. No wonder no one likes them.
A nice store ....for a thrift store way over priced...the staff is nice....but the prices are over the top 99 cent day and 75 day offer mostly undesirables in the city the merchandise much better and prices affordable for people on a budget..and raising a family..wont be shopping here much...goodbye
I went there today after a long time, the store smells horrible I feel like was going to vomit, the prices are expensive, I found the same item at walmart and first was cheaper and second guess what ? It’s was new. It doesn’t make sense, thins are used and they want to sell it as limited edition or something. So if you find something check it out online first. You might be able to get it for less.
Great finds and good customer service!
Thrifty and fun, you never know what unexpected great deals youll find!
Do NOT waste your time here. This place use to be reasonable but now Im convinced the owner is unbelievably GREEDY. Not sure who the owner is and would love to see for a laugh but getting clothes for free and pricing them as if they are a department store is very sad. I can honestly say its cheaper to shop at the Saks outlet or Neiman Marcus outlet down the road then it is this place. So disappointed in the direction this place is going.
I actually cant stay in this place for too long the smell is so bad. I went in there plenty of times but never managed to buy anything. Here are my biggest complaints:Broken instruments in this place cost more than brand new on amazon.Glass bottles cost more here than in the store with the drink in it(whos donating used glass bottles?!).Paintings are put to the size its actually impossible to look through them without them falling overTheres about 3 other second hand shops in the same street just go to one of those.
Its an okay place. The musty smell gave me a bit of a headache and its not organized very well. It was more expensive than B Thrifty. A vest I loved was almost $10.00
Great place for a great price! I got a belt I needed for work at 41 CENTS.
Good variety, expensive but some bargains to be found. No bathrooms and kind of dirty, especially the toy area. People let their kids run around alone and leave them in the toy area while they shop. Its a hot mess back there.
Lot of good things. But to pricey, need the clean up the floors. Kids play with the goods.
Keep all options open and compare costs before buying..
Great place for good used clothing. A bit pricey, but still worth the visit.
Have been here Alot of Times..Have Never left without buying something...Has clothesHas ToysHas ShoesHas BlanketsHas Sheet SetsHas Kitchen WaresHas PursesMens and Womens andChildrens Clothes..Once you go and sign up.They will Text you their sales..50 % Off Everthing for One Day !Has a Senior Day.... Too !!!!At least try it.. Have fun looking at All The Items They Have....Not far from Great America Amusement Park....NEW REVIEW::::MAY 2019........Went back here.... Was VeryMessy and Items Were Thrown around.. I couldnt BELIEVE HOW TERRIBLE IT WAS NOW!!!!!!!!!Guess Someone Isnt Keeping ItUp NOW... DIDNT BUY 1 ITEM.WHAT A SHAME.....Hope They Will Clean This UpOr Will Not GO BACK!!!!!!
I just got a brand new Neiman Marcus bag for less than $10. Its a little hard to sift through everything but I found a gem so Im happy.
Scruffy but well stocked thrift store, some prices are high, but the selection makes up for that.
My favorite store. Always find good deals and very good quality thinks.
Very, very, expensive. I was disappointed to see a walker for an elderly or handicap person being sold for $69. I thought these places were suppose to help the less unfortunate. They are robbing people and most items you can buy brand new at walmart for the same price.😔
Great bargains and selection. My son loved it too.
Good store
Very messy, smelly and over priced. I dont think this place helps support the community like loved twice across the street which helps support Pads and other organizations !
Great stuff just be patient and you will find treasures
This place is awesome! Love their discount days!
Higher prices than most places but you can still find a bargain. The workers are friendly and courteous.
I been coming to this community resale shop since they first opened very good Deals
There is nothing nice to say about this place. Dirty, unorganized and very expensive. Used board games were $9.75 and missing pieces. Small used stuffed animals were $5.75-$9.75! Many other items had original price tags on them and they would change the same amount or in some cases more. All items are donated to them but yet they were unable to prove or even tell me about any chartible donations they make. I would not recommend this thrift store to anyone.
Excellent, found things I needed. Enjoyed myself as usual.
Found an awesome piece of furniture for amazing price.
This place is just getting free donations and making money off of it. Also there prices are ridiculously high and even with that money that they make there to cheap to put a.c. for the summer
Way to EXPENSIVE, extremely OVERPRICED for the time you have to spend to find anything in your size! Employees rude! They act as if its a Nordstrom store. They sell fake Coach purses as if they are authentic. Dirty, Unorganized! Huge disappointment!! Some people shop at thrift stores to save money, some people shop at thrift stores because they dont have the money to shop at a retail store. Not everyone shops at thrift stores to resell!!HEY COMMUNITY THRIFT Im not sure your aware but YOUR A THRIFT STORE NOT A BOUTIQUE IN LOS ANGELES!!
Very unorganized.. Alot of stuff on the shelfs. Aloit is broken
My favorite place to find lil treasures.
This store has lots of stuff for sale and much of it is in good condition, but some of it makes me scratch my head as to why theyre selling it, its in such junky condition. The store is a little dirty and dank smelling too, and much of their stuff is too expensive for what it is actually worth.
I found the prices to be a little bit High comparatively speaking to Salvation Army and I did not purchase anything here.
Excellent selection, though some of their pricing is bananas.
Prices are very high on most every thing, cloths, toys, bike’s. Shoes and boots are priced ridiculously high. Unbelievably HIGH. Just why do they have to price them as high as they do. Their prices on their shoes and boots are as high as if you bought them at a store for full price or even priced higher then a store price.
Always find a great bargain there.
Good bargains and most stuff are in decent condition.
Somethings are over priced but you have to spend time looking for lower prices
Will go again
No Mexican knew nothing... couldnt be speak the American language
This is a reasonably priced thrift store!
I always find treasures here!
Excellent reward program.
