Love the Home Depot owning house this is my other home. And it is my pups favorite place too. My husband and I met at a Home Depot.
Wish i could give this store zero stars. Had carpet installed using Home Depot. BIG MISTAKE.- Installed with multiple highly visible seams- Left dried glue on top of the new carpet in my sons room- Installed a defective piece of carpet that had a very noticeable permanent crease in it. Installer sent out an inspector that verified that it was a carpet defect. in response, Home Depot sent out an installer who took out a bunch of tools to smooth out the carpet, then took a picture that looked like there was no crease, and submitted a report that said that it was a seam due to install. It is not. Within an hour the crease was back. Spent hours on the phone with Home Depot Corporate because you cannot ever get customer service on the phone at the Hackensack Location. Have been given the runaround since March 2021...its September now...still no resolution. They also never call you back even though they promise they will.IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to answer the phone to help you if theres an issue. Expect LONG HOLD TIMES.I hope you weight this review heavily when deciding to give Home Depot your business. They sure dont value my business.

Went to Home Depot in Hackensack to purchase carpet. The service is horrible. We stood twenty minutes without any acknowledgement. We were never told how many people were before us or if the person would even be able to assist us. I excused myself and asked if there was no one else that could assist us. I was questioned like I was a dummy who did not know what I wanted. I was then finally told there were two other people before me. The service and attitude of the employee sucks! I am closing my account. The color of my skin should not warrant me being treated like I do not exist.
Mulch delivered with plenty of roaches in the bag or on the pallets. Now roaches are all over my yard. Screw this place. The company is also a huge Trump supporter. Go someplace else, unless of course you want to get cockroaches in order to own the libs. Seriously I will never go back to any home depot ever again. Disgusting.

This particular Home Depot is in Hackensack. I dont know about evenings, but by day it has the most experienced customer help you could want. Almost every department has someone in that field working there. Its the best I have found!
Terrible! Nobody knows anything! We spent an hour for finding someone who could answer our very simple question. Why they didnt train people before hire?

Long story short... if you’re in a bind don’t rely on this Home Depot to help or to do the right thing.Now the long story...Something in my house broke Friday evening so I found and ordered a replacement online for in-store pick up the following day (Home Depot’s site said it was in stock). 23 hours later I still didn’t get a notice so I contacted Home Depot. The rep advised me my order wasn’t ready yet and I would have to wait. I reminded her it was ordered the previous day, the store would close in a few hours and I really needed the item before they closed. She then put me on hold and called the store to find out what the hold up is. She came back to me and said they didn’t get to my order yet and would look into it. Before our call ended, my other line rings. It was the Home Depot store letting me know they were out of stock. I was extremely upset because I really needed it, had waited all day (and now it was too late in the day to find it elsewhere, plus all retail stores are closed on Sundays in Bergen county), already made arrangements for someone to help me pick it up and for someone to install it on Sunday. I made my disappointment known to the store manager and questioned why they didn’t advise me earlier (if they were able to call me within less than 3 minutes of my inquiry with the status of the order then that means they knew it was out of stock for a while and failed to notify me) and why I had to be the one to call them 23 hours after placing the order just to find out I was never even going to get it. All I got was excuses that didn’t make any sense and only got me more aggravated. Then the store manager got annoyed with me for wanting him to take accountability for dropping the ball and said he’s just going to cancel my order to end the call (as if that was a threat or a favor). I filed a complaint with corporate but let’s face it, that’s like throwing a message in a bottle out a sea (it’ll never go anywhere).I’m once again reminded why I don’t shop at Home Depot. The service, and lack thereof, is careless and inconsiderate. Customers aren’t people. Just another number and dollar sign.
Horrible experience Associates standing talking to each other not in a hurry to help customer,my order was canceled and we were not notified I found after I was at the store this store is lacking leadership,one associate was standing by customer service the whole time I was there and guess what I found him again by the register where I was paying the cashier was to busy talking to him then he walks outside, paid my items and did not even get a Thank you from the cashier for spending my money after a terrible year in this world we are living in with the pandemic you would think we should all be happy to get back to business I have been going to this Home Depot since it opened and I can’t say this experience is due to the pandemic it has always been the same horrible store with the associates. Go to Lodi and you will have a better experience. We just hope that people that are in management get to read reviews Thank you PS there was more associates then costumers in the store
I attempted to do a curbside pickup for a large deck box that I knew was too big for me manage. No one showed up for curbside. I needed to go inside to get the item myself where customer service was unfazed about the lack of curbside & not helpful. Once home, I was distraught to find that my item was pre-used with missing assembly instructions and pieces. The pieces were in a ziplock bag & a hinge was missing. Unfortunately, customer service told me I have to haul this back myself to the store to return it. I’m pretty dissatisfied with my experience here.
I wish I could personally send a message to management about how helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable Devon in the tool rental department was today. I usually dread having to ask for assistance, since past experiences have been such a hassle with unknowledgeable staff that act like they are doing you a favor by helping you. This was such a pleasant experience for me I am actually writing a review which I almost never do. He was so nice, you are lucky to have such an asset as an employee for your company!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SO FAR!I bought a washer and dryer on June 5th and to be delivered on the 10th. It is now 2 days late and your delivery service keeps changing their story as to why it wasnt delivered and YOUR customer service is doing absolutely nothing to even try and remedy the situation. I took the day off of work waiting for this delivery just to be told when they arrived no one was home. I told them to give me the time they showed up so I can prove otherwise on my Ring doorbell. Then they said they drove by the house and took a picture of it to prove they were there and your customer service says the house is gray or white with no driveway. My house is neither grey not white and I HAVE a driveway. Im being told that it now cant be delivered for another week because of their incompetence. How is this in anyway acceptable!? I should have taken my business to P.C. Richard & Son for quality service and professionalism. Think it might be time to do just that unless something gets done about this issue!

Ordered a stove from this home depot on their website and was told that it was not an option to pick up the old stove and have this one installed. The stove I purchased was about $800 and it seemed appropriate for a home depot employee to connect it to the electric grid rather than leaving it outside and having a 60 year old woman who could not move it inside or connect it to the electric grid deal with it all by herself. We also asked before completing the order if we could move the old stove aside and make an additional payment to have a home depot employee properly connect it to the electric grid, but was told that was not an option. On September 15th, at 7 in the morning they dropped off the stove, just left it on the front steps, and took off without saying anything. I would give this review 0 stars if I could.
All the stuff you ever needed (plus lots that you dont) for your home.First time here and was focused on the Garden Center. This years selection of flowers and potted plants is scaled down from last year when they had the parking lot full of stuff. Guess the new store next door complained and that curtailed the selection. However, what they do have looks pretty healthy. 6/27/18 Now back on a revisit and really browsed around. This place is BIG!
Went to get a receipt copied but found out that each Home Depot store cant access your receipt if purchased in a different store. So now we hve to send the card to Richmond, VA because they wont take the card over the phone...Duh. But they had all the items neddef to fix up my apt.

I really like this Home Depot! I have one closer to me but I drive all the way here for the great customer service thats rendered!! Chloe is awesome, theres a young lady up front that very helpful. I think her name is Monique, she was very kind and patience with me! I was indecisive on which plant to buy and the workers were very much involved and helped me settle on a decision. Wait! Im not finish there, now lets talk about the guys in the painting department. Im not sure whats all there names, I think Virgil, Ernie, Nick! Must give a shout out to those guys!! They.were.fan-tast-stic!! Reason being, with me decorating my place i was very indecisive, the color thingy is very confusing for me, I shouldnt say confusing but very hard for me to make a decisions and stick with it!! I lie to you not! Those guys were very patience, took the time to answer all my questions and was very accommodating!! I love this Home Depot, and would definitely recommend it to anyone!!
The layout of the parking lot makes it tough to get in and out
Went to get keys made and they did not have a blank to cut that would match. The employee also used the same blank for two different keys that looked completely different. His reply was telling me I can buy something so I could tell the difference.

Deborah Bell was an excellent helper! I was very pleased with Deborah help, she answered all my questions and helped me pick out the stove and refrigerator. Not only did she helped with appliances she also guided me to find everything else I was looking for. She is a very lovely person to work with. I also purchased a Gazebo and a gentleman that goes by JXC5CSD was very helpful. Thank you guys!!
Its home depot. They have everything you need for typical home repair. If your a specialist, or are looking for high quality items, look somewhere else. For everyday items, the depot is the place to go.

I love the experience in this Home Depot location. My experience was all rooted in goodness because of this one great employee, Shpresa, from the garden section. She was very helpful when it came to finding stuff for all these snowstorms. She made the whole experience eventful and I will be coming to the Hackensack Home Depot from now on for my hardware needs.
Delivery was to be 17th. Then 18th. Then 21st. Went to get products myself after waiting all day on 17th. Checked before I went to ensure products were available. When I got thereThey were not. Told that all but the screws from original order would be delivered on 18th. Not all have arrived as yetCannot complete this job on time. Customer not happy!

A great place to find everything for your house or even build your own house lol. They have everything I mean everything haha. Im in shock everytime I go. Their gardening area is awesome. Some items are overpriced but others are fair. So I guess it balances out.

PROS: This place is my go-to for quality products. Some people are skeptical about big box stores but Im not. This has everything I ever went in for and a very nice staff. Just recently, two employees Walter and Joe helped me with a fencing need I had. They were able to solve it with ease and I couldnt be more happy. Thats a good representation of the service youd be getting here.CONS: I understand its a big store but they need more help on the floor. I feel like I need to shoot up a flair in order to get someones attention.OVERALL: If you like supporting your locally owned hardware stores thats cute and dandy but when you want good quality, unbeatable prices and selection, and a nice staff, just come here.

I would have rated the store higher, but.....Contractor lane check out lady had no clue how to use a tape measure to calculate how long my baseboards were. Shes telling me, the one holding the hook end, to pull the tape tight when there was almost 2 of slack!I had cut 3 16 1x2 boards in half for easier transportation (price per board) and shes saying my 6 8 lengths mean Im buying 6 pieces. Explaining that I cut them in half meant nothing to her.It all boils down to a big lack of training

I needed help in PRO customer section and nobody helped and then cUstomer service didnt know what to do either and then finally the manager clocks in and says he doesnt know what to do so i had to leave my 2 carts full of stuff because clearly nobody knew what to do for PRO in this store. I used to give 5 star to this home depot store. But the customer service deteriorated. I placed an order online and picked it up in store. They let the customer wait in line while they were browsing websites for other items using the same computers. How could home depot promise a seamless customer shopping experience with this low quality service during the pandemic? Also the employees at the online order pickup desk were VERY rude. I believe I am not the first one who wrote a similar review like this.

I want to give the highest prasie to the young man who handled my returns even though the was a discrepancy in my receipt. I became very angry at the delay and was 100% sure he unwrapped on of the 3 items. He said he didnt, and I called him and another young girl liars. I was very angry and lost control.They were right!!!!! I found the wrapping at home.[shame,embarassment overwhelmed me].This young man handled my false accusation so amazingly!!! He should be very proud of the maturity, and kindness he showed me during this time. Way to go Homedepot return employees! Great job!!!
This location is very convenient. The staff is OK and I can usually get in and out pretty quickly. However, the way people drive in the parking lot is ridiculous which is why I usually go to the Lodi location.

I picked it out on the internet, paid for itand asked to have it deliver ed to me by the door of my carThey did better then that they asked me what kind of car would I be in and when would I be there. We came and with in one minute, a gentle man had it in his handsHe helped put in our car and wished me a good day.How wonderful was that?Thank you Home Depot, You are the BEST !!!!!

Understandably they were overwhelmed, these are thought times, but no apologies just a reprimand for not going inside the store to talk directly to an associate even though my name appeared in their screen. Home depot, you can do better.

Larry is the best Home Depot Representative and staff. He assisted me twice, one (project was for a baby shower - back drop) and the second, drain the tub. Larry is very knowledgeable about supplies, prices and location of items. Hes the best!!!! Thank you Larry !!!!!

This place is never helpful. There’s maybe one guy in plumbing that typically will help you out, he’s an older guy. Other then that nobody wants to be bothered. The customer service here is awful from the people working the floor. I can’t stand coming here cause I won’t get anything done trying to track down an associate is impossible.
