They had my kombucha on sale there so i bought a few bottles. They had a nice variety of probiotics!!
Decent prices, simple shopping. You will not be overwhelmed with options and brands. The shopping carts always work unlike other places.Their 25cent rental/refund per cart works wonders i feel. They do not supply bags so you will have to bring your own, or purchase one of theirs.Great for budget shopping.
The experience shoping here is superb all items are so good. And the prices also is to compare you always be satisfied at a hight level trying the experience only ALDI can give.
I love Aldi...go there all the time. The only thing I dislike is when you find an item you really like and go back and then no longer have it. :-(
The product quality is great and the store itself is clean, but the customer service is awful.I wanted to buy a bottle of juice and stayed in the line. When I saw that another cashier is free, I left my line and went to him. He said that I wasnt in the line so I need to go to the end of the line. What?!? I said that I was in another line and have only a bottle of juice, but he didnt want to listen and sell me the juice. I returned the juice to the shelf and moved out of this store forever.
Great prices and different items. They also have sugar free stuff you can buy.
Great Deals on All Sorts of Things Always Something New
Inexpensive .. I prefer a shoprite or stop n shop instead.
Great discount supermarketMuch needed for the neighborhoodThey are always also keeping up with seasonal itemsClean & friendly & super fast check outs no matter how long the lines lookBring $ 0.25 cents to rent a shopping cart 🛒And bring your own bags. But so worth it !!!🙂
Very spencil prices x to buy.good parking space, but need more products x sale.
This is by far the best grocery store in the area! As well as great employees to help you find whatever you need
I like the selection of items, for a smaller store, and the prices cant be beat. The quality of almost everything Ive bought and tried from this store is first-rate, also. The layout of the store had changed since I was last there, and the lines were fairly long on a busy Saturday in the late morning, but they were kept moving and orderly by diligent employees.
Bare bones small super market. Prices are lower than the major chains. Not a lot of name brands which permits these lower prices. Decent, but kind of bare bones, vegetable, fruit and meat and dairy sections. All meats are prepackaged. Some great values for a number of items such as eggs, bread and veggies.Carts are .25 but you get your coin back. Must have your own bag.
First visit to Aldis. My only issueis the way customers line up in aisles verses moving on to registers to check out. This system of customers queuingup in the grocery aisles blocks the acess of customers with shopping carts between waiting customersto check out who customers whoare still shopping! Need to allow shopper to move to registers.
I spend most of my food dollars at Costco Wholesale, Whole Foods Market and ShopRite, so even though the Aldi in Hackensack is only a few blocks from my home, I rarely shop there. The store is SMALL, and the selection is limited, but prices seem reasonable. The limited selection goes for organic products, too.Today, I drove over to pick up jars of organic salsa and a small bag of organic rice after my wife said she was running out of the latter.Aldi is German owned, and many items on the shelves are produced by Aldi, including organic items like salsa and rice sold under the Simply Nature label. This supermarket doesnt use plastic bags, the cashiers are seated and they place your items in a shopping cart, which you move to a counter near the front windows to pack your purchases in your own reusable bags or ones bought from Aldi.Another quirk is that you wont find small shopping baskets to carry, only shopping carts, but there is no prohibition against placing the items you want in the reusable bag you bring with you.If you dont empty the bag after you place it on the conveyor belt, the cashier will, and make sure it is empty before he or she rings you up.
For a quick in and out Aldis is the place to go. They carry a large variety of different items such as dairy, meats, bread, household goods at a fair and reasonable price.
Staff at Hackensack Aldi is always helpful.
Like this place, pretty busy but got out rather quickly. Staff pleasant
Excellent prices on everything. Many of the unknown brands can serve as satisfactory substitutes.
Excellent prices and fairly good selection of products. Also, love how environmentally friendly Aldi is. Remember to bring your own bags.
One of my favorite supermarkets in Hackensack because of the affordable prices.
Things are so easy to find and the prices are cheap!
This store has a wonderful selection of food and items available. The store is always clean and well taken care of. It is easy to shop around and find what you need. I love the amount of organic food that is available. They also get in a lot of special limited time items. They had mochi, Gelato and edemame which I love. I enjoy shopping here.
Really good, you can find some healthy food, and the prices are not to expensive, I like it.
The store is clean, a very good variety of Aldis typical selections of products. Cashiers are always pleasant when Ive been there.I shop there weekly. Highly recommended!
Warehouse style grocery store with competitive prices. Bring a quarter to unlock a shopping cart and either bring your own bags or be OK with paying for them. Many products are off-brand names you never heard of, but thats how they can get you lower prices, sometimes much lower than what youd pay for a familiar brand. There is ample free parking, a big plus when you are shopping in Hackensack. Most of the products are canned, boxed, or otherwise pre-packaged, including fruits, vegetables, canned goods, baked goods, dairy, deli, frozen foods, drinks, baking and kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, and meats. Its evidently a labor-saving strategy and probably extends the shelf life of some items. If you are looking for a wide variety of fresh produce laid out for you to pick from like a regular grocery, go down the road to the farm market or the shoprite. However, Aldi will provide you with real savings on packaged foods, and is worth visiting for part of your shopping list. Like visiting a warehouse store, sometimes its worth exploring to discover what appeals to you and discover new things to try out.
Beautifully run store. Super clean and the personnel are great people. Love shopping there.
The store itself is very clean and tidy. But the customer service is severely lacking. There are many shopping carts but no handbaskets. I have a baby in a stroller so therefore I cannot push a shopping cart. I will not put my baby in the shopping cart because of covid-19 germs. I carry a tote bag with me but that is not big enough for all necessary purchases.Twice now I have been at the register and asked for help carrying my items out to my vehicle and the cashiers have looked at me as if I were insane. They said no, thats not something they do there. Now I have a infant in a stroller and I am obviously pregnant. Last time the cashier would not even let me take the shopping cart because he needed it .Today I just took it and pushed the shopping cart and a stroller through the store, through the double doors, into the parking lot where finally a complete stranger asked me if I needed help. Thank goodness for kind strangers! It is very sad that Aldis employees do not show the same courtesy.
Very organized. As soon as checkout line got long, associates were added very quick and checked out all on line.New update: was there again on a Saturday evening. There were no carts for shopping. Waited for 10 minutes on line for checkout.
2020,April 22Hour: 9 am to 5 pm during PandemicFor the Vulnerable: Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30am to 9:30am.Stay safe everyone!2019.12.11Its almost Christmas 2019. You will find toys and goodies in Aldi during this time. I found an Ornament with packaged cheese on fridge shelf which is exceptional cute. Also found, other than 100s other gift items, seasons greeting cards @$.99 each with at least 20 different selections. This is a great place to shop, with the least struggles, during this holiday season.BTW, be careful of unpleasant cut-in from your fellow shoppers. Thats definitely a mood breaker for anyone!2019-08-26Best almond milk found! $2.29 per 64oz.Great location, unbelievable prices, clean and open store front. 5 check out counters only, expect to wait in line.Selections of produce change every week, you can sign up for special sales. Aldi. usNeed to prepare a quarter in order to use the shopping cart. Not very convenient for elderly, or shoppers who have a full load of merchandise. Also, Aldi does not provide free shopping bags, a rather environmental conscious supermarket. Love it! Remember to bring your own!
Great prices and affordable
Nice to see they finally got carts after weeks with none. I love this grocer but this store always seems to run out of the most basic items way too fast. :(
I like to shop here. Prices are resonable & theyre open until midnight during the week. Clean & safe. So far, so good!
Just a perfect store for my family love prices, and how fast cashiers work.
Great prices pretty quick in and out bring shopping bags or youll have to buy them
Reasonable prices when you need to find a item
Good prices. Just needs to get more products and variety.
They are just plum wonderful at Aldis! Locally sourced produce from what I understand, and my husband always finds a good deal on things he is both looking for, and basically anything else in the store. Packaged goods are comparable and often better than brand names. He thoroughly enjoys their aisle of random limited items to find little unique things that are to our tastes.
My first time it was nice
Glad they got more shopping carts. Deals and yummy products
I love this store, very clean and not crowded. Besides that the prices are so much cheaper than other markets, where else can you get salad dressing for 89cents?Everything is cheaper, I recommend it if youre looking to save a few dollars.
Really competitive prices
Vegetables & groceries are available in decent price.
I love Aldi. You go in and out. Always find what you need, you save money and time. I dont like having to walk all over a store just to get the basics.Everyone minute counts when yoy try to get home after work.
First time there. Only went in for a few items and was surprised that they carried few of the well known national and regional products. I was please with the private label and other unknown (by me) label items I bought with the exception of the Feta cheese. The prices on those items are very good and the store was clean. Had to buy a bag as I didnt know about their self-bag policy.
This is a great place to shop. I used to shop in this store in Germany and saved a lot of money. Good quality and low prices. You save because they don’t have people collecting the shopping carts, so you put 25c in cart and get it back once you return it!
Great prices and great selection of quality food and merchandise.
They had everything I needed
Variety of stock and cheap prices. Perfect place to shop on a budget without sacrificing quality.
Interesting items but lacking in variety. Very competitive pricing, but you will not find many recognizable brands. Bring your own bags, because they do use them to pack your items.
First time going there, just wanted chips, but no name brand products that I could find, didnt care for their cheetos brand/ crunche but not much flavor. I am sure other things are great, my friends shop there and they love them.
Wonderful to have this store in the neighborhood. Nice selection. Most items of better quality. Easy in and out. Good prices.
I thought it was a good trip there. I just want to be able to go to the deli. I like buying my cheeses sliced in the deli
Probably deserves more than a single star, but they dont have enough grocery carts, which is what my review is based on. Yesterday there was a senior citizen waiting for a cart by the front door. There were carts spread throughout the parking lot, but nothing close and the parking lot can be dangerous and it was pretty cold out. A uniformed Aldi employee had gone out to the parking lot to get carts, but he just brought back 2. The elderly gentleman asked for one, but the employee said he needed them and directed the man to get one for himself from the parking lot. I really should have left at that moment, but I had promised to pick up a few things, so I gave my cart to the elderly man. It never should have come to that. Their system of putting a quarter into a cart doesnt work well and the parking lot being littered with carts isnt safe and the lack of appreciation and empathy for their customers is inexcusable.
Shopping at Aldi’s is always fun because of all their weekly specials. If you want one of their weekly special items, you gotta go grab it quick!! But similar items always makes their way back on the shelves eventually so don’t worry. Regular items are usually always available. I love getting their dark roast kcup! I’ve tried so many different brands of kcups but there’s just something special about Aldi’s. I keep going back for more!!! Their price is unbeatable too!Just walk up and down those aisles...you will find lots of new things to try.
Clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful.
Raspberries and blueberries were spoiled! They should check what they are selling.
In Florida they have good price in some import beers & wine and in general everything is great ther.
A not as upscale as Trader Joe market, but very convenient.
I know 9 people that stop shopping there because of customer service. As of today I will not go there anymore. One employee very nasty looks at me like he wanted to fight me, tells me I can only get 4 gallons of water, I apologies and he kept looking at me like I stolen money from his mother!. I spoken to the manager he looked at me like he didnt wanted to be bothered. As of now eastford will get my business. As for the manager and the tough guy employee...there is help out there for special miserable people like you!Count your blessings there are ppl in this time that dont have a job!
Im not finding all what I want but its a good store
Not really crazy about the employee behavior in this store. I feel like theyre doing me a favor by being there. And the hired security personnel at the entry door are less than friendly. All you have to do is allow a person to enter for each person who exits, its not rocket science, and theres no need to be nasty. I try no to go to this store... Its just not a pleasant experience.
We seldom shop in Costco after finding Aldi. Many super reasonable priced grocery items comparing to all the supermarkets in our area (flooded with supermarket)! Cream cheese, meat, eggs, juices and more!!
The best Aldi in the area.
This isnt our usual supermarket, but my wife and I find ourselves checking it out regularly. We often find good deals and like to try new things for a low price.
They had a very nice selection of fresh Fruits and Vegetables. But I wish that they had a Day Old veggies rack; at a discount for cooking! That would help me feed my big family.
Good price decent selection
The staff is very friendly always willing to help. The cashiers are always fast.
Wonderful store great selection and unbelievable pricing and the store is clean and looks like it has been remodeled in the last couple years
Clean always nice cashiers
The prices are good and you can always pick up your food basics here. They also have a rotation of products determined by the season. You need a quarter ready to gain access to a shopping cart. Its cool the way shoppers swap carts for quarters so they dont have to return them. Team Work!
Great food market, very nice people working customer service. The lines move fast and the parking lot is full of customers that go food shopping almost every day.
This is my favorite Aldi in NY/NJ. Always well stocked but the real draw for me is their Aldi finds section. Its the best one I have ever seen!
Great place to shop. CEAN AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
Had to lower my rating...Second time in a row with no carts available (and store almost empty of people).Pretty hard to complete my shopping while juggling items in my hands. Not sure where they all went, they used to have more than enough..
Theyve revamped since the last time I was here. Healthier food near the door now, and seems cleaner overall.
Inexpensive grocery, kept clean and not too crowded!
Some prices are amazing and some arent. I wish theyd carry more organic and healthier products like the ones from Traders Joes. Some snacks arent as tasty as the name brands and I feel like they are always missing something. Despite that I love the store for products they carry and will continue to shop there.
Love this store. I was so happy to have found one here in nj right after I came from Chicago!!- You can get basically everything you need & cheaper!! #OFF BRAND ITEMS as well
The best prices out there for food and other items. Bring bags or a box. If not you will have to pay for bags. Staff is quick and friendly.
Great low prices on items
Love my hackensack aldis and the employees may favorite place
Great place. Trying to get used to the bagging, but that didnt bother me. Great selection on Keto items if that interests anyone.
Great
Good prices, they are making a strong impact in the comunities they served.
Great prices on food. Checkout is very quick. Bring your own bags.
Great prices. The best I have seen. Sort of like a Costco, but able to buy conventional size packages. No membership required. The only downside is no bags or boxes....like Costco. My new store.
Good place with nice prices
A great place for low cost groceries
I didnt shop here I brought a friend there to pick up some water but the price is on the food are very cheap but the only thing is is that they had a long line going down one of the aisles and only one register open so you getting two stars for that.
This store is a bit more affordable than the Clifton location with a much bigger parking lot. The produce is certainly better priced. Staff is nice and the store is clean.I prefer the Tonnelle Ave store in North Bergen however its been closed indefinitely.
Great value, friendly staff, clean. Ready to bake pizzas, variety of toppings. Fresh produce. Frozen foods also. Some housewares & baby items. Fresh flowers also.
Love the cheap prices there. Cheaper than the Target near by. If they had more name brand stuff, it would be perfect.
