Although Electronic Workbench is perfectly suitable for all your everyday repair needs, it is also a vanishing breed of shop that has the knowledge and capability to handle high end and vintage electronics. Dan will expertly analyze and cost out your repair, and your precious Marantz or McIntosh will be singing like new before long. Highly recommended.

I am over-the-moon happy. I have an Infinity Cube, a relic from the 1960s that somehow turned up in a garage sale for $1.00. When I changed the light bulbs to LED bulbs when one burned out, the item overheated. It needed a new transformer but finding someone to do this delicate work would be hard. Electronic Workbench got the job done quickly and within budget. Even though my Infinity Cube is just a novelty item with little purpose other than make the world groovy, I love it. Thank you, Dan, for giving it a second life.

I had a pair of pricey vintage speakers rebuilt and was extremely satisfied with the resulting work. The owner has a great deal of knowledge from all things vintage to present electronics-wise, especially in my case audio-wise. I will continue to do business here because of the quality of work and turn around time. I feel his pricing is fair and just. I have recommended Electronic Workbench to anyone looking for repair or consultation on vintage audio. Convenient location and easy communication. Def. recommend!

Dan is the MAN! No doubt a skilled technician with many years of experience. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful, most definitely stands by his work. He repaired and restored my nearly 40 year old Teac X1000R reel to reel deck. It now works like new. Highly recommended!!UPDATE 1/28/20: Second review in a month for another piece of gear. I brought a Sony K890ES cassette deck in to Dan for an alignment and calibration, as it was extremely out of wack. As usual and like last time, my experience was problem free. The deck works as new now. Another 5 stars!

Dan and Electronic Workbench are terrific. My Panasonic plasma TV suddenly stopped working. I called him and he came over immediately. Since the issue required some diagnostics we elected to have him take it to his shop. The fee from r this service was only $35.00. Within a few hours he had figured out the problem and called me with a fair price to repair my TV. The TV required a part to be sent from Panasonic. He installed it and delivered it back to my house within a week. The TV works great. He is nice, pleasant, trustworthy, and repaired my TV at a reasonable price. I recommend Dan and Electronic Workbench without any reservations.

After a nationally-known audio/video/computer service botched up the simple job of installing a new DVD player and ruined the register of my television set, I called this company to ask for help. Even over the phone, before he even came here to help me, Dan was asking me the right questions and teaching me solutions. When he and Bobby arrived at my home today, they corrected and reset everything, installed a new DVD player, connected my television to my Netflix account as well as other streaming services. They did exactly what was needed promptly and politely and would not leave until they made me show them that I really understood how to work the new system. I recommend Electronic Workbench with confidence.

When I picked it up it was carried back down to my vehicle with care. Its unfortunate it wasnt able to be fixed but they were very upfront and honest about the everything. If I have any electronics to be fixed in the future Ill go back here again.

I used to take my audio video equipment to EW when I lived in Hackensack about 15 years ago. I was always pleased with the repairs and the quality of work. I live much further away now but when I needed my cassette deck repaired I brought it here. The player would stop playing a tape shortly after I hit play. Dan fixed that problem and charged me $129, although he accepted $100. I asked for a receipt and got it but there were absolutely no details listed as far as the work that was done. When I hooked the unit up at home, I could hear that the tape was playing back too fast. Not pleased so I brought the unit back. He adjusted the voltage while I waited and that solved the problem. Did someone not listen to the unit before I picked it up the first time and hear that playback was too fast?Additionally, now when I play a cassette the high notes are distorted. I have no intentions of bringing back the deck a THIRD time and now possess a unit that is useless to me after spending $100.Unacceptable.

I looked on You Tube to see how difficult it would be to replace belts in my Sony ES cassette deck. The one video stressed not to attempt it. Searched and found Dan at Electronic Workbench. I saw 2 reviews from people I know, both 5 STARS. I picked up my deck and have been listening to tapes, works like new. Price was very fair. The only regret I have is Dan was talking to me about turn tables and repairing them, I discarded my Dual 1229 a number of years ago, wish I knew about Dan then!!

Dan saved both my nakamichi 680 and my teac 2300 tape decks. The cassette unit was in a well known shop at the jersey shore for six months and came back no better than when it went in. The reel to reel was in the hands of a north jersey teac expert and came back worse for the experienceDan is an old world craftsman who knows what he is doing and takes justifiable pride in his work. I trust him with my high end equipment.

This is hardly a legitimate business. Do not risk leaving anything valuable here. I dropped off a subwoofer to be looked at and was told i would be called a few days later. I called 2 weeks later and he was still looking in to it, same thing a week after that. Then I emailed for updates 3 times and got absolutely no response. Not professional. Finally just gave up and went to pick it up. This was not an essential item to my home so I was not that upset of not having it for almost 6 weeks, but if it was my TV or something I used often it would have been more upsetting.

Dan is a great guy! He is one of the last old school repair technicians. That means he is honest with his customers and doesnt try to up sell or lie and try and steal customer TVs and fix and resell them as many techs do.He always calls first, is always on time, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers. He is not one of those people who only care about how much of your money they can take out of your pocket. He has integrity and is a very competent technician.
