We called to see if we could bring our pontoon boat in for them to check it out and do whatever it needed under warranty - they couldnt have been nicer! We arrived and 2 Gentlemen almost immediately began looking to see what might be wrong!. Was determined that something was wrong with the outboard engine. They said they would get back to us in the next few days with the diagnostic results, and give us information as to what parts would be necessary and their availability. Archie and Robert were great to deal with; knowledgeable and patient. They had my upgraded motor delivered, installed and tested well before delivery.

Me and my husband over the years have purchased 3 boats from them and we just purchased another. Never took the boat on the water and noticed that the 6 dollar pilot pickup was broke and stopped in to tell them about it and they said dont worry its covered under warranty... after phone conversations and 2 times in to get the part and another phone call they said can you bring the boat in so we can look at it... For real ..lets see..Tow my boat to your dealership 35 miles one way for a $6 part .. never again will I purchase a boat from your company.

We dont service anything old

I spoke to Allen and I can say he is one of the best guys I have ever worked with. I had spoke with several other boat repair shops in the area and not one person wanted to help me. They were all extremely rude and said bring it in Ill get to you Im 3 weeks. Not One would give me simple advice. As a business owner myself I know its the little things I do for my customers that go a long way. Small words of advice is all it take. Not shut people out. He gave me so much advice on a minor issue I was having with my boat motor. Most companies do not give you the time of day allen had a 5 minute coversation with me and he walked me through step by step to fix my issue. I plan on having them do All my boat motor repairs. You just cant beat there customer service! Highly recommend!

So I went in looking to purchase a new prop for my boat, was quoted a price over the phone and was ok with the price. When I went in to purchase and was ready to check out with the prop it came up cheaper than the price quoted so I purchased the prop. Then I decided to look around and was considering purchasing a new boat and was told by the manager that I needed to give the prop back because it was rang up wrong ( 20 minutes after purchasing ) had it not been for the managers attitude and the way he was talking to me I would have worked it out with him......bottom line it’s not my fault they rang it up wrong! Will never do business with this place ever again and would recommend new manager or some discipline with the employees! I could have paid cash for a brand new boat but I’ll take my business some where else from now on!!!!!!!

After shopping for a boat from Bowers Marine in Hagerstown last week, I ordered one Monday and I would strongly recommend to anyone needing a bass boat to go somewhere else. I put a deposit down and was told they would get the boat ready for me. Today I called and said I was ready to pick up the boat when would it be ready? The salesman who had assured me he would get the boat ready after taking my deposit informed me that he hadnt even ordered the motor yet. Then told me, he never told me he would get the boat ready, not really sure, but why would I give you money down on a boat if you werent going to sell it to me? Needless to say I went and got my money, at least I think? it hasnt shown up in my account yet, and went to Bass Pro Shop where I ordered another one and got it in writing that it will be here on Tuesday. Thanks Archie at Bowers for flat out lying to my face. You will never have to worry about getting another penny of my money. And I hope all of my friends and family go else where as well. Please feel free to share with everyone you know.

This place is a complete joke they have a mechanic that has 25 years of experience that can’t even tie his own shoes I gave them my serial number and the mechanic told me a fuel line would work on my motor and it didn’t even come close and they wouldn’t take it back an hour later in the package I will never go back to that place again the service was awful also very mean people must be there lack of knowledge on boats.

Went in looking to buy a new pontoon boat but was told because of my age I couldn’t get a loan little did he know I had cash ready to buy. Just goes to show he lost a sale because of his attitude towards customers

Poor service beware

I hit a rock with my boat in the potomac river a 40 hp mercury prop motor. I had a used lower unit that I ordered from Florida I took my boat and motor to bowers to put it together and get it running. It was June 10th I believe Archie did give me an estimate so I left a deposit and the boat/ motor. I told them that I was going on vacation July 4th weekend and I needed the boat by the 2nd of July if you cant get it done Ill take it somewhere else Archies reply shouldnt be a problem just like the other review a bare faced lie. I call on June 29th didnt remember me or my boat problem I finally clued him in and his reply Nope its not gonna be ready. GREAT there goes my vacation!!! At least he did have the correct parts I was able to buy those and have my friend put it together who is not a boat mechanic in 3 hours Archie and the crew had 6hours of labor sure am glad that they are incompetent.Bottom line I will never deal with this bunch again!!!

Took my offshore boat there this morning with twin outboards for them to go through and make sure that theyre ready to roll in spring. I went through and told them about certain issues I thought should be addressed and changed out. The tech (I call him that loosely as he might as well been the floor cleaner) interrupted me with random part pricing that was 4x more than what I knew they were.He then said I can tell you right now im not working out in that cold. Thats all I needed to here to walk out.Basically im giving them an open invitation to spend $$$ for my safety and they cant ball up and take proper care of a client.Screw that. Took the boat to Md Offshore Performance in Gaithersburg. Treated like a king.
