I really like this place, there is always a kind female employee there who helped me with buying these cool $9.99 headphones. But I recently did not have a good experience with one of the male employees, and I was very uncomfortable and my anxiety went through the roof.A little while ago, I went there with some friends. One of my friends went to leave through the exit, and the sensor (alarm) went off. They turned around confused, and the male employee there said, Youre good, you can go without hesitation and then we left normally. We never found out how/why the sensor went off, but my friend left easily with no questions asked. My friend was also white.I am an Asian person who already faces discrimination when I go shopping in certain areas of my state. I went there very recently with some friends (my friends were all white), and then we left and the sensor went off. He immediately pointed me out from the group (we all were leaving at the same time), and he said, Come on, the sensor didnt go off when you came in here. Anything we need to know about? Do you have anything in your bag? And I nervously said, No, I dont have anything I dont think. He called me over to the register and told me to let him scan my bag, which I did, and then he said there was something in my bag. I opened my bag and was going through it, trying to find whatever it is that was so bad inside of it, because I didnt want to completely empty my bag because I have really personal stuff in there, such as medication. I found a Korean hand lotion in my bag I had bought from that FYE store a little while ago. I said, I have this lotion I bought a little while ago, and proceeded to show him the lotion, and he looked me dead in the eyes and said, We dont sell lotion here. I was dumbfounded, not knowing what to say because I knew I definitely did buy hand lotion there, and the female coworker that was watching said, We do sell lotion here. Over in the clearance. So its kind of weird how you DID sell lotion there and then lied to me to make me look more guilty.He said, Do you have the receipt for the lotion? and I told him I didnt, because I dont carry around receipts for hand lotion, I dont think anyone does. I said, I can put in my card and show you that I bought it with the card if you want me to do that, and he said, No, youre good. And I said, Are you sure? Yup, he replied, and then we left and I was very shaken up.I did not steal, and I dont understand how my white friend did not get the same treatment that I got. Whats funny is that my friend, who had the sensor go off, had the exact same bag with them too, we got matching ones.Im very disgusted with this place and I will not be returning.

Best overall customer service and positive family experience

Male cashier named Taylor very rude and unprofessional. Yelled at me and my friends at the front of the store. Items had a 1 per person limit and out of 4 of us we each were purchasing one, but because we knew each other we were told we weren’t all allowed to purchase even though we didn’t even come together. Continued to argue with us and said with an attitude “whatever I’ll just do it.” Extremely uncomfortable situation all around. No employee should be speaking to customers the way he spoke to us.

I Love going into FYE and Checking Out the Amazing Funko Pop Selection to Find a New Addition to My Collection. Our Store over the Past Few Years has Started a Downward Spirial into Looking Dumpy...However it Contains Loads of Music and Movies to Select from New and Previously Used. Not to Leave Out the Huge Amount of Collectibles and T-Shirts Available.

This jerkoff saw me standing there to pay and did not help me. I then waited in line for the next cashier. And he would help others behind me. WTF. I asked the cashier how the line works and she said whoever is next gets helps. F this place. Never shopping here again. I don’t want to help pay for this losers $7 dollar an hour wage. BTW his name badge was covers up by his jacket.

Absolutely love the items they carry. Just a bit on the expensive side. Can get 75% of their inventory online a good bit cheaper. A bit chaotic in the store. Felt slightly unorganized, but that may be by design, as it had me going through the entire store just browsing to see what they had available.

Always find what I am looking for

I love the new layout but it seems they no longer carry the Asian candies and that wad disappointing. Lot of other great candy and products though. Staff was nice.

Decent selection of used CDs, but their employees try to push their membership and other sign ups on you. Then they wait to tell you that the membership has a monthly fee, after you already gave your name and address. After I told them I wasnt interested after being told of the monthly fee, they still tried to push it since its easy to cancel.

Went in for a CD, was able to find it quickly cause the store was organized and they had it in the front cause it was a new release.. However when looking around I found the same new cd in a different spot in the store for $3 cheaper sticker price, when I took it to the register the higher price rung up but he adjusted it when I pointed it out. So word of caution watch those sale prices.

Miss the video game section

Got to the mall at 9am and was prepared to spend a great deal of money on merchandise in this store. Got to 10:02am and the gate opens. We stand out front of the store and are immediately met by an extremely aggressive man who works there. Who throws his hand up and shouts NO,NOT YET. We left immediately. As a costumer i would recommend buying elsewhere.

My favorite store. I bought a life sized Infinity Gauntlet from FYE and its amazing. Lights up makes sounds and the fingers move. Best store to goto for Marvel apparel and what not.

One of the only stores that remains from my younger years I remember trying to decide whether to buy a cassette or cd or spending ours hours listening to the song in the CD to decide buying it or not

Great novelty store. A bit pricey but the clearanxe section was cool. Employees seemed really nice and helpful.

I went for a return and the manager acted like the money came out of her pocket. She was very nice until then. I was also asking questions about other products so I can have more information before I made another purchase and she told me no. Kept talking to her and she put her head down, said nothing. Awkward! Will never shop here again.

Decent selection

I could easily spend $5000 here if given the opportunity. Very friendly people and a wide selection of movies, TV, and memorabilia. I love this store and wish there were more around the world.

I have frequently been to this location and have purchased and ordered videos. I usually dont have problems but the last order I placed was back ordered. It took over three weeks to receive my order unacceptable.

Scored Murder She Wrote on sale 19 a season. Yay!! Store is clean and well organized.

FYE is like Spencers and Hot Topic but less edgy and more nerdy/weeaboo. They have things ranging from Japanese drinks and candies to collectables and posters to fandom clothing to vinyls and old record players. The name really fits the place because everything here is For Your Entertainment. The staff is very friendly and funny, I end up talking to them for as long as I shop in the store, which is a pretty long time. I think it helps that theyre next to Books A Million to get them more attention.The things I most commonly get here are Ramune drinks, random toys like the Rainbow Slime in a mini Erlenmeyer flask, and fandom merchandise (including a Wonder Woman headpiece, multiple Star Wars shirts, a Star Wars and a Harry Potter throw blanket, a Nightmare Before Christmas mug, a Bloodborne and Pokemon poster, funko pops for my sister, Overwatch figurines and keychains,) etc.I also love the little vintage looking radio I got here and the glowing speakers.

This place absolutely sucks. DO NOT COME HERE. Take it from a former employee, all they care about is getting your money. They will pressure you into signing up for a backstage pass and magazines that they will not inform you will cost you a fortune later. Their items are overpriced, and the management SUCKS. I was fired for stealing when in reality it was another manager stealing from my register which I got blamed for simply because they didnt like me. They also lied on my termination report and said I was fired for not performing well enough, when I was one if their top sellers. Jo the store manager is very rude, and the other manager Paul is even worse. I stopped in to buy some headphones and give my gf who now works their a drink. I was told very aggressively to leave, and that my GF was going to be in trouble. I informed him I was just giving her a drink and buying something, and he said I was not welcome in the store period. Please dont come here. Your experience will not be pleasent.
