I had a great gentleman who was very eager to help me and not only was he helpful but he was compassionate and caring. He gave me exactly what I needed opened a register and was more than happy to take care of me. He was able to get me in and out quickly, he could tell I was in distress and he was very comforting!!! The store is decent, but dont bother trying to call. Youll sit on hold for an extraordinary amount of time, just to have the call disconnect or be put back to the automated directory.

On special orders or items that are not sold alot do background checks on it. Like trailers they only have 1 person to take care of it

First, Ron P. was amazing! He was busy when we found him and he ceased what he was doing almost immediately to assist us. We found what we wanted and he was able to locate something else for a better price. Ron helped us with the warranty info as well as the delivery. 10/10 for Ron in Hagerstown, MD. Second, the assistant on the phone he had to contact in order to get my card to work was less 1 star. He didnt want to help us he wanted to get off the phone quickly. I could not find one person who was willing to help me find an item. I asked 5 employees, 3 who sent me to areas that werent even in the general area of my item 1 who said they didnt sell the item and 1 who said they werent sure. After much persistence I found the item I was looking for on my own. Yikes!

Caleb in lumber is a great associate. He took his time to help me with what I needed and used the store’s wood saw to make around 10 cuts for me. I will be back if the customer service is like that every time.

Bought carpet there with 25 year warranty. 4 years old and its worn out. Completely frayed and matted. I think the installers pulled a switch with cheaper carpet. In a bedroom with very minimal traffic. Home Depot wont stand behind the warranty because they say we should have had carpet cleaned. Its not dirty. Its worn out. Cheap carpet. It wont happen again. Lowes stands behind theyre warranties.

Love the selection. Comparable prices. Super friendly associates that offered help without being pushy. Absolutely my go to place for DIY needs.

Found my toilet part..but I wanted to purchase a refrigerator & only one person in the appliance department. & He was with a customer..So they lost my sale..went to Best Buy.

The three ladies working the customer service counter were extremely helpful and should be commended on their outstanding customer service skills! Not only did they hold down the customer service counter, but they went above and beyond to bring the merchandise we ordered to the front in a timely manner. Great team work and great personalities, Home Depot should be very proud of these three ladies for their commitment to excellence and for showing customers some old fashioned hospitality. Went to look at Christmas trees, alot more inventory on line then in the store. Not sure if last years trees were used for display but several trees had lights out. It made me a little leary about buying if lights only last a year.

Surprisingly I recently purchased 1/4 all-thread6 for a very reasonable price. Worth a couple hours to browse.

Home depot is always great and I am surprised how knowledgeable the associates are and they are always ready to help out . This is my go to store for any household repair needs .

Rented an insulation blower for $88/4 hours and after getting it home and attempting to use it for 3 hours, making a huge mess of my front yard because I had to keep disconnecting the hose and clearing clogs, I realized the hose had been run over and trashed... They did give me a full refund for the rental though.So I found another company that could rent an insulation blower, and I called to see if the truck was available to rent(I ate the money I paid to a friend to use his truck for the day I rented the broken insulation blower) and she informed me all of our vehicles are currently out of service and we have no idea when or if they will ever be in service again.Get out of the rental business. Dont advertise a service if youre not going to take the appropriate steps to do it right.

Tried to buy a shepherds hook but had trouble locating. Ask for help but didnt get much at all. So i had to look for the hooks up in the racking which i located. Then went back to the guy who didnt help me the first time, which was a huge mistake on my part. The box was on the bottom of several boxes which he proceeded to throw off the stairs. He ended up grabbing the wrong hook which i had told him which sku it was under but he pulled from wrong box. After he throw the wrong hook off the ladder in frustration, i was done and told him not to worry about it and left. Its really sad people get upset when all your asking is for them to do their job.

My Dad is the one who usually runs into Home Depot. When I go in, its ALWAYS clean and orderly looking. The employees are VERY helpful.

Been back and forth with customer service from Ryobi and Home Depot since Mother’s Day weekend… it’s now the beginning of July. Had an issue with my mower that neither company wanted to handle to fix or get a solution, mind you it’s still under BOTH warranties. Current manager, a gentleman who needs an attitude adjustment said to bring it in. I do so and Tina at customer service was helpful in getting a solution! 5 STARS for Tina and her customer service. 1 star for the manager and company in general with false crediting on the warranties they will “honor.” Ya’ll should give her a raise having to clean up the mess and diffuse situations like these. You won’t go unnoticed for your efforts Tina! Thanks a million!

The girl that works in Kitchen appliances is extremely knowledgable. Ive bought 4 items from her so far.

Called to get someone out about tile repairs. After being transferred 4 times over the course of 20 minutes told me I had to come in the store for a consultation. Got there and the guy didnt understand why I was there. Drove 30 minutes each way and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what was going on only to be told they dont have anyone to do that kind of work. No apology no help no concern for 2 1/2 hours out of my time. Didnt get with a manager at all. So much for the Pro desk.

Found what I was looking for and the service was very good. Someone helped me making keys and was friendly and answered all my questions.

There were lots of gorgeous flowers there🌸. So, if you like flowers, Home Depot is the place to go.

They seem to have a good supply of Spring plants and enough supplies, but I found it frustrating that the Garden Center didnt have regular chicken wire for our plants. Instead they only had the more expensive and permanent fence ideas. We found the chicken wire and stakes on the complete opposite side of the store. Otherwise, the associates were helpful, but Sunday on a sunny day is VERY busy.

If you want to pick up a large item(online order) expect to weight 30 to 45 minutes.

Of course I have time to search for price tags, employees and then repeatedly walk back to do your job. Im suppose to understand you cant leave the register, and wait/ work 30 mins of your shift. Just close this store. You all should be ashamed in this managements leadership.

My 1st shopping trip there my son wanted a hanging strawberry plant. (Cant plant in ground bc neighborhood cats use my flower beds brand new mulch as litter box) Was near closing time every few steps an employee either greated us or asked if we needed help. Wish more places like walmart especially take some notes on CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Not sure if I had bad luck or not but this was disappointing. Staff wasnt very keen on helping and the lawn mover bagger I got had a birds nest in it. But when I called the sense I got was this happens. No offer to clean it up nothing other then bring it back. Not going back to this home depot.

Great customer service from the 15 different customer service people I talk to about getting black metal coil or anything thats metal and is black they are internet website said that they carried it and when I went in there I was in there for about an hour looking for something that they didnt even have anyways

Called 3 times to see if something was in stock when the website says limited stock before I drove 40 minutes. I was answered 3 times and each time I was on hold for over 10 minutes each time. Spoke to the same person at least twice. Unacceptable. Home Depot you should be ashamed how you treat your customers. I ORDERED FROM AMAZON ! THANKS FOR NOTHING!

I work here so I may be slightly influenced, however I do have my own opinions. Home Depot has a very generous return policy and 10% off every day for veterans and active military with proper ID. And well sometimes that can be a bit of a way to get someone to help you with a specialty item its only because were helping other customers, and that takes time. Ive not had good experiences at other Home Depot stores in the past but I really like this one in Hagerstown, even before I started working here which is why I applied here. And its quite easy to pick up items even those ordered online and then return them if theyre not the right for what you need.

I love going there. Someone is always available to help me, but I can always just wonder around if I want to without having a clerk pestering me. Lol 😆. A wide variety of things there.

Tina in the customer service department shouldn’t be in customer service. She was not friendly and responded to questions with “I don’t know what you’re talking about” when I was told to go to her department to order online items. I think people in customer service should be knowledgeable and friendly, and if she doesn’t have the answers to a question she should be willing to help me get the answers I needed.

Staying open until 10 pm worked out perfectly for me.

I had 1 person that I asked questions about certain items, if they had them, if they did, where would they be, he needs more training, so I moved on and ran into another store associate who was unaware of where I could find the product I was looking for, he used his phone and took me right to the item, so I was impressed that the training he had, he had to listen and absorb what they taught him...ThakYon

Fast efficient and friendly i will definitely go back in 2 years!

Went to rent a truck for weekend. To help someone move. The customer service there did not want to help or do his job. To set up the day of the rental. If you need a rental i would go to U-Haul at least there i got customer service and respect from them and understanding of the day i needed the truck.

Standard box store, fairly good selection. As always its best to shop online and then pick it up to avoid the chaos.

I prefer to go here then Lowes if at all possible

Really really sad and dissapointed with this place. On the phone and just transferred around for it to ring and ring from 840 to 9 PM because employees are too lazy to answer the phone and do their jobs. Definitely going to Lowes for now on.

Customer service is disgraceful and poor. I bought fiberglass insulation on 03/13/21 and paid Express delivery for today 03/20/21 ETA delivery was 6am to 8pm . So I call a professional company to install the product today 03/20/21 the company was at my house waiting for the delivery them I text homedepot hagerstown to see wheres my delivery because I had people waiting to install the product. And guess what surprise they told me not delivery today i was in shock because they never call me in order to know will be not delivery and that is not all. Also they have no idea when will be delivery i thing the people who work at homedepot hagerstown is a disaster who doesnt care about customer and they should care because we as a customer paid their Bills their mortgage rent everything without us they aint get nothing no business. My daughter fell in the front of the store in paint and a cement mix. Messed up her jacket her brand new sketchers and a pair of carters pants. Which everything was totaling bout $100. Home depot all they did was fill out a accident report and called their insurance like the items ruined didnt matter we were not hurt but still it was the matter of at least give me the number to your corporate office so I could complain there also. Cause I am sure their outside people saw the mess. All I want is the money back I had to spend getting the items replaced.

They over charged us when we paid then when we called said to come get are money so we drove 30 mins back to home depot to be told they wood have to review the cameras and the guy wasnt there so we wood have to wait and come back anther day even tho they were the ones in the wrong

When using curbside pickup be aware that sometimes the employees of the hardware store will pick from the top of the pile. This is often where the rejects from all the other customers are lying. my order was brought out to me and I had to send the person back into the store to get decent plywood.

I purchased a Amana dryer from them and the dryer that was given to me had a bad motor and belt issue. I purchased the dryer in September 2020 and still till this day, going into December, it has not been fixed. Home depot wont replace the dryer eventhough it was purchased by their site. Due to the pandemic the parts needed to fix it is on back order and not sure when they will come in. No need to purchase insurance because it was explained to me it doesnt cover appliances and unless you notice problems in 48 hours after delivery no refunds or exchanges are given. Think of another place to shop if needing a working dryer and possibly better product.

I used to work there and its a great place to work unless you are a harder worker then others will start making things up about you. Now if you are a customer like I am now, its a great place to get lumber, lightbulbs, power tools, and other things for those that are doing things themselves or doing things for a job

Cashiers too busy talking to help customers. Last time I was there it took over an hour to get 2 boards cut. Employees will tell you thats not my department and keep on walking instead of helping or trying to find someone to help.

Never and I mean NEVER do a ship to store pick up. Ordered an item on the 29th, said it arrived AT STORE on the 1st. Was told it’s actually at the warehouse. It’s now the SIXTH. And I’m being told it’s STILL NOT HERE. Never doing in store pick up again.

I love the Home Depot store in my area but as far as who they get to deliver there appliance forget it that’s what the 3 star is for not the store but the delivery company I will shop at the store but will make sure they don’t have the same delivery company ever deliver ever again the worst.

Went to pickup an online order. I had no reason to get anything else in the store. But I was made to walk through the store to exit at other end of store. At the entrance to the store there is a door not being used and should be used for those online orders to exit so there would be less contact. Should be common sense in and out.
