RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE- BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR- ASK QUESTIONS REPEATEDLYThe customer service is really bad, there is ONE REALLY RUDE MAN who is not helpful at all.He sent my parcels through first class letters and not package and when asked for a tracking number, he said there was no tracking number available ( Since he has already had it worked into the system) and that I should next time do a sign on delivery which has a 6 dollar add on.So basically I paid for a first class letter when I was told that it would be a packageI was later told that I need to insist that I need to ask for a bar code printed if I needed a tracking number (How would I know the inner workings of a post office?)Unfortunately this is the only UPS store near by, but if you can avoid a particularly rude and loud customer service rep who you will notice for sure. A lot of reviews here state him.PLEASE AVOID HIM at all costs, even if it means skipping your turn.
I was dropping my boxed Amazon return at the UPS store in Half Moon Bay on December 22, 2020, and left the box open in hopes to add some filler to prevent the content from rattling inside.The customer service guy (I am sorry now that I havent checked his name) grabbed the box and answered rudely to my request to add the filler. Luckily, it was just a book and l had a thin layer of the bubble wrap inside. He acted like he wouldnt even going to put a tape on! Grateful he did put JUST ONE tape across. He then grudgingly commented under his nose that its a UPS store and not an Amazon and the box will go in just like that with one stripe of tape with the rest of the boxes.I felt really at the mercy of this guy not knowing if should cancel my return altogether or let it go.I understand the times are trying now and its a busy holiday season for all shippers but I dont think this kind of behavior should be excused and/or tolerated. Especially, because Amazon instruction even has it in writing that the UPS store will scan the QR code, pack, and ship the return for free.We all can have a bad day but if one is in customer service it shouldnt be at the customers expense.

Marc is the rudest guy Ive ever encountered in a service industry. The reason is that hes CONSISTENTLY rude. It makes us not even want to go into the store. The guy has been getting terrible reviews from people for months. The only reason I can think of why this guy is still there is that he must be family.

This is the best UPS store you can find. They are always there to help and get jobs done fast. We are so grateful to have them work with our program as everything they do is so professionally well done and they are fast! We have been working with them for years and I cant say enough how amazing they are. Thank you UPS!
On occasion I have to drop off packages with a return label already affixed.Today, right at 4pm, I was headed to the door where someone was entering and the guy just about slammed the door in my face - youll have to bring that back tomorrow!Seriously? I understand you may have reduced hours (although the UPS website does indicate they are open until 6pm as does Yelp) but customer service is what your business is supposed to be about. Also, if you have a sign on the door reduced hours 9AM to 4PM, but let one customer in and not the other, makes me wonder.In times of COVID I expect businesses to want my business not turn it away. This location clearly doesnt need it or the specific employee working isnt too concerned about his job but should be. If I wanted to make this a bigger issue I would contact UPS regional management to escalate my complaint. I suggest if this is an owner versus corporate owned location, they look into customer service remedial training for their employees!
Marc the Manager is incredibly rude. Worst customer service I have experienced. Was yelled at and talked down to because my mask slipped off my nose.

Bought a piece of garden art from on local artist in Half Moon Bay without any idea of how I was going to get it home. It was large, heavy and irregularly shaped. They worked with me and got my purchase boxed and safety shippped to SoCal, and all with a sense of humor and a reasonable price.
