Harold is great and mechanics are great too if youre ever looking for honest kind people go here its worth the wait... only complaint I have is the new girl in the front shes not very friendly always on her phone never smiles and thats not what Harolds shop has ever displayed in the past... I say get rid of her

H K Automotive Repair has fixed three of my cars so far, and they do excellent work and have reasonable prices. Harold the owner is a very nice man and has been in business for years now. He will work with you and tell you what he finds along the way when fixing the initial problem. I would recommend any of friends and family to him.

I would like to share my experience with this auto repair shop because I would like to help you avoid making the same mistake I made in choosing them to repair my wife’s car. First of all, I do almost all of the work on our two cars and rarely do I need to take it to a mechanic. This job requires a car lift so I entrusted this shop to change out a rack and pinion that was leaking. I also needed a right lower control arm replaced. Both of these parts needed to be changed out so that I could get a proper alignment of her car. They quoted me a good price so I went ahead and approved the repairs. They told me that it probably wouldn’t be ready until day 3 and I was ok with that. I just wanted them to do a good job. Fast forward 5 days later and they finally return my car to my wife. I decide to take a look at the work that they did and I notice a lot of steering fluid leaking from the car. I also noticed that one boot was significantly torn and another was so twisted that it would’ve eventually torn had my wife driven much longer. I take the car back to them and Harold, the owner, tells me that they had to contract somebody else to do the necessary alignment because their alignment machine was “down”. This is after he encouraged me to get an alignment from them knowing that they couldn’t do to and would have to subcontract to another shop. He blamed the torn and twisted boots on this other shop. Then they supposedly replaced the boots and called me to pick it up but they took another 3 days to do so. I wanted to inspect the work so they put it up on the lift so that I could get a better view of the work and I was very disappointed that they again did a terrible job. By terrible job, I mean that they didn’t secure one end of a boot at all so it was just loose and hanging, the other ends of both boots were secured with zip ties! Yes, zip ties!! They are supposed to be secured in place with metal hose clamps, not plastic zip ties! And I also noticed that the the boot on the new control arm ball joint was rip and leaking grease. As upset as I was, I had no choice but to leave it there so that they could again fix their mess. I eventually decided to retrieve my wife’s car and take it elsewhere but I did have to pay for the work done. I am in the process of trying to find another but if you do not want your car to be fixed by incompetent mechanics and for them to perform incomplete jobs, please avoid this place. I know that most people don’t know their way around the mechanical parts of a car and I could’ve easily missed all of these things had I not known what to look for. I just do not want anybody else to entrust the vehicle that they depend on to these incompetent so called mechanics. Believe me when I tell you this, pleases avoid this shop and seek a mechanic elsewhere.

I went too HK automotive repair because one of my family members referred me.Once I arrived too the shop I was hesitant.At first I was greeted by Charles I believe that was his name he made me feel at ease .And he would make sure my car was taken care of like it was his personal vehicle he explained everything that they were going too do step by step .By the end of the visit my car was fixed.I will recommend H.k Automotive too anyone that needs car repairs. My family has been going to Harold for as long as I can remember. He is definitely a guy that you can trust with your car and to get stuff done. He never disappoints.Weve had to take our cars to him a couple of times, and every time he had came back with exactly whats wrong is what seems like just enough time to just snap your finger. They are always efficient and keep track of everything. In todays world that is very hard to find! He will definitely be our mechanic for quite a while because he knows what he is doing!Go check him out for your car troubles or if you need an oil change.They can pretty much do whatever needs to be done, and in a timely manner.

Harold is a great guy and very honest. We will take a 10 mile drive in traffic to go to him and get our oil changed rather than up the street 2 miles to some local oil changing places. Harold has been our mechanic for about 15 years. Never had not one problem..he is honest on his prices as well.

Guy at the shop said I needed my oil gasket or (whatever the part was called) replaced because he said it was leaking oil. So I got a second opinion from a mechanic friend and the oil cap wasn’t tighten all the way. He figured it out in less than 5 minutes. But shop wanted to charge 200 dollars for something that should have been easily spotted by anybody that knows about cars. And they talked down to me like I was stupid for even questioning their diagnostic and not doing it right there and then but glad I followed my gut.

This place did me a solid. My wife’s car had a check engine light on and was running a little rough. The code was for 4 different things. Harold didn’t think it was all of them and suggested fixing a fuel sensor first. That was the problem and the cheapest to fix. I’ve been going to him for a long time and he has always done the right thing

Came in with a $16.95+tax(%8.25) oil change up to 5 quarts and when I went to pay he was charging me up 19.27+tax so I did the math in front of the guy and he said it was more expensive because the oil filter upcharge, it was nothing mentioned in the coupon or before I got my oil changed, then he said he would do it but that it was my last time trying to say pretty much dont come back and I wont, go to walmart or wades auto repair down the street from these crooks.
