The team there exudes a culture of genuine customer care that harks back to a bygone era. From the initial repair estimate to picking up my finished car, they took care of absolutely everything in the repair/insurance process; including navigating a couple of inevitable curveballs. They were courteous, flexible to my schedule (Christmas/New Years), did the repair timely, sent me near daily text updates, and gave me back my car as if the accident never happened...maybe even a bit better. Everyone is always so nice and helpful here. My car is ridiculously unreliable but I know I can always bring it to them. Having my car continuously have issues is frustrating but Oren makes everything as easy as possible and always takes the time to explain things to me.

Mainly needed my front bumper replaced and a paint job. Had to pay out of pocket and the price was fairly the same as other collision centers in the area. They did a very good job except I’m just realizing that there’s white stuff stuck to the hood of my car from the paint job. :( Thought it was dirt before but after a few washes it’s still there. Other than the white stuff being stuck everything else was fine!

I got into accident right after 3 weeks I got my new 2020 Benz GLC300. Now it’s like brand new again. The workmanship is seamless. I like how they updated the status via text every day. Hamden Auto Body does a great job, and Im amazed at what they can do w/ damaged cars. My 2014 Accord has been hit from behind and T-boned, but HAB does their thing, and my car looks like it rolled out of the showroom each time.

Every aspect of the service was perfect. I was able to have the estimate of the repair done the day that I called, and the estimate was complete in about 20 minutes. Everyone that I interacted with was great to work with. You will receive an email as your car is making its way through the stages of repair so there is no wondering how everything is going. The repair was completed on time, 2 days, and at the estimated price. Everything was perfect they lived in to all of the previous great reviews.

Ive heard a number of friends complaining that they end up renting a smaller compact when they arrange for the rentals on their own through their insurance company, but Hamden Auto Body worked it all out for me.All along they updated me with timely information about the status of the repairs, along with the estimated completion date. How happy was I that the car was actually finished 2 days early!Better yet, the car looked better than new when I picked it up. Big or small jobs they deliver the same high level of service, professionalism and craftsmanship.In the past, I’ve needed major body work done due to accidents and I’ve always been pleased with the quality of Hamden Auto Body’s work.This time, I bought a used car that had the trim piece that sits in the rain gutter on the roof missing. I was hesitant to call because I didn’t know if they bother with small jobs and I didn’t want to spend much money to get it fixed. Yet, if I was going to fix it, I wanted it to be done by a professional. I knew my car would look much better with the trim piece installed and I was also a little concerned that other damage might be caused if I continued driving without the trim in place.Well, I called Hamden Auto Body and they ordered the parts needed without me having to go into the shop. Then, I stopped by during my lunch hour and they took the car into the shop and installed the piece in a short amount of time.I was able to wait in their newly designed front office waiting area and catch up on the latest entertainment news. Did you know that Neil Young married Daryl Hannah? I wouldn’t have put those 2 together! It was a comfortable waiting area and all the employees were very pleasant as they passed through.In the end, the car was fixed with very little inconvenience to me. The price was reasonable and in line with what I expected to pay. The car looks great all around now and I’m glad I called Karl at Hamden Auto Body in Hamden CT.Based on my multiple experiences, I give Hamden Auto Body my highest recommendation for both major and minor body repairs.

I just bought a 2015 Nissan Altima less than 2 months ago. The lovely wildlife of Hamdens Rt 40 connector strikes again and brings my first repair. I stopped in for an estimate to shop around after previous place didnt appeal to me. Even with COVID, the staff was extremely polite and efficient, making the process quick and stress-free. I went in to this expecting the worse, and though when all was said and done the amount of work needed was surprising, the estimate was not knowing insurance was covering it. From the moment of drop off to when the repairs were complete, the communication was fantastic. They send texts with updates as to when things are taking place and completed. The only complaint I would have would be the length of time. I was quoted 8 days and it ended up being 13 days, obviously being closed for one of those days. Luckily I didnt need to rent a car but if I had, the cost to rent would have exceeded my bill with deductible. If your insurance plan doesnt have rental coverage, plan rentals according so you only have to rent on the necessary days to avoid unforseen circumstances. It was at no fault to the body shop as the insurance company took 3 days to get there and a part held up the completion causing the delay. If you can plan a ride or sharing a car in the household, Id recommend it over renting unless its covered. In the end, the car looked better then when I bought it and they took ever step necessary to ensure there was no return visit. I am extremely happy with the professionalism of the staff. They dont brush you off just to get their payment. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone, especially anyone who is unsure about a body shop or first time repair victims. They arent rip offs and produce amazing quality work. The women at the front counter are extremely welcoming and do not brush off your questions or concerns especially once they have your vehicle. The man who inspected my vehicle was honest and efficient. Initial quote was $500 less then a previous quote from a different shop and while comparing he pointed out a part that was just extra work and not needed. Once the insurance adjuster got a hold of the claim he added about $1000 worth of parts and labor which was more about ensuring a thrurough and complete job, wouldve happened anywhere and its on their dime at that point so who cares! I will be returning for future work and upgrades to my newly purchased vehicle! Thank you Hamden Auto Body for making my first body repair as simple as possible!

Living in Waterbury everyone questioned why we brought our vehicle all the way to Hamden to have it repaired. Well the work speaks for itself. There is absolutely no way you can tell it was in an accident. The paint is perfectly blended, all of the panels are perfectly aligned, and everything functions the way it should. They also set up the rental and it was ready to pickup when I dropped my vehicle off. This is the only place Im going to in the future.

During the COVID-19 crisis my car had a terrible drainage problem within the sun roof system, leading to a large lake with in my vehicle. I hadnt been in the car in a week or so before noticing it due to the lock down. This lead to a ton of water build up, mildew and mold smells. I called Hamden Auto Body and they were able to schedule a next day contact free drop off. The process was easy and comforting. I have always felt safe dropping my car at HAB in the past, but this experience solidified my faith in their professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service oriented philosophy. They took my car, looked it over and texted me daily updates. Before proceeding with repairs I got a phone call to discuss my options and find a cost effective method to remedy the issues. Hamden Auto Body is seriously great! They communicate every step of the way! The insurance company had said they would only pay for me to have a scuff buffed out but Hamden Auto Body went back to them and said the entire bumper had to be replaced and while they did the excellent work on my bumper, I got a fancy new rental! She used Hamden Auto Body and I went with another shop “in network” with the person at faults insurance company. I went here for an estimate and was given one that was literally more than double from six other places I went to. I told the them I was paying out of pocket as my insurance company was delaying payment and explained the circumstances behind it (an abusive ex had stolen my car but because we are still legally married its become complicated, even though I have two pending criminal cases of abuse against him) so Im not sure if that was the reason but I was truly appalled. I cant imagine that the other six places I went to are all subpar. I was just shocked.

I brought my car to Hamden Auto Body due to the recommendation off of Honda’s website. Upon bringing my car here and although the ratings were good, I was still very nervous as to what the outcome would be because of previous experiences I’ve had at other body shops. I decided to call and speak with someone in charge, and I felt very confident once I laid out everything on the table about my negative experiences everywhere else, that this was indeed the right choice of shop for me. My car was considered totaled out after this shop had looked at the car, and I was actually extremely happy because, they were able to pinpoint more damage than the adjuster had quoted. One of the males who work here told me “if the adjusted had done his job properly, he would have totaled it out on the spot”. I deeply appreciate his comment because I believed so also. The way Hamden Auto Body evaluates the vehicle upon disassembly to determine what is needed, really made me happy and confident that if any future issue I had with body damage, I would be returning to this shop. If you are somebody like me who has had a bad experience and questioned if something is done correctly or not, and have been unhappy with previous work performed, I highly recommend you give this body shop a chance because they will completely change your perspective and you will leave a happy customer. This is a body shop that cares about the customers needs, unlike a lot of body shops I’ve been to that work or the insurance company.

My entire front end was ripped off my car in an accident. Since Im not from CT I asked poeple from the area where I could go ASAP to fix my car. Everyone recommended Hamden Auto Body. So I went, got an estimate right away (which ended up being very accurate in the end) and they were willing to get my car in the shop right away. Took only a week to get all parts ordered, replaced, fixed, painted, and finished, and they were even extremely accomodating with getting it done that Friday so I could travel home to MA. They vacuumed and washed my car, which was a huge eye opener and a very good complimentary gift! They notified me via email when my car was going through each process, and were very thorough with their work. ABSOLUTELY going again if I ever need to! Thank you so much for being accomodating in such a stressful time! Will recommend to anyone who needs anything fixed! (and yes this is an actual customer review!)
