I had a great experience with Sullivan & Son. The sales rep Kristen was responsive and knowledgeable and helped my wife and I pick out a two carpets while our two year tore around their showroom. The installation team was on time and efficient. Would highly reccomend.

Sullivan & Son really hit the mark on my quest to find the ultimate carpet for my new drum/music studio. Brad and Kristen were awesome to deal with and their customer service was simply stellar. I would give them 10 stars but the option is limited to 5

Rick and the installers were great to deal with. They showed up when they said for both measure and installation, called when they said they would call for everything, as a contractor myself I understand how uncommon this is currently so it was very appreciated.Very fair pricing, will be a repeat customer.

I feel the need to post this review! I have had MAJOR work done in my house for well over a month. I had my ceiling collapse with a ton of underlying issues. I have had 5 separate contractors to address the multitude of issues in my house. Every one of them with the exception of Sullivan and Son’s wood crew was very uncaring of the fact they were working in my home.The crews were dirty and never cleaned up after themselves. However, Sullivan’s crew was amazing and to be very clear, they had more dirty work then anyone else coming into my house and yet they left with my house cleaner then even after I myself would clean.I find this to be very professional and respectful. When someone’s home is tuned upside down it doesn’t help contractors can make it worse. A big Thank you to the Sullivan and Son crew, I would recommend their work, their friendliness and professionalism to everyone needing work done in their home.

Yesterday Sullivan & Son Carpet Inc installed new carpeting on our whole second floor which included 2 rooms, a hallway and stairway with landings. Initially we worked with Kristen Sullivan who was terrific and made sure that we picked out the perfect carpeting for our home. Rafael and Enrique did the installation and worked hard to produce a fantastic result. Before they left our home, they even made sure that we were happy with all that they had accomplished. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the beautiful results. We would not hesitate to recommend this company for any flooring job that needs to be done. Sullivan & Son Carpet takes great pride in their work and makes sure their customers are more than satisfied. We certainly will be for many years to come.

We had wanted carpets for a long time but were not quite decided on type, style, etc. There was also a bit of a budget that we wanted to stay within. We checked out several places but no one really could satisfy our vision. But then we met the owner at Sullivan and Son who was just so accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. He took time to understand exactly what we were looking for and then to educate us on carpeting. He helped us to understand and choose wisely. At one point he even he set up our carpet right in his shop so we could envision what it would look like in our home. The pricing was reasonably, the installation’s was expert. Overall a great experience! Thank you!

This past year we had carpet and a floating floor installed by Sullivan & Son Carpet. Words do not describe the fantastic customer service at their store and the outstanding service teams that installed our floorings. The installers wore their masks, professional, extremely helpful, etc. I run out of terms I can use as they were just GREAT. We had an issue with a refrigerator hookup and they went above and beyond to help me solve the issue even though it was outside the scope of their work. I would not go to another flooring store - Sullivan & Son Carpet is the best - look no further. We are longtime - very happy customers!

Im not one for writing these reviews.. UNLESS Im Wowed! I got sick of Big Box stores having kids that know nothing about what theyre selling, provide worthless advice on their limited selections. So, I went to Sullivan where owners Kristen and Brad answered all of my questions and provided extensive knowledge and great advice about carpeting. When you call, they always answer... Theres no HOLD MUSIC while you get transferred from department to department looking for a human. They did a FANTASTIC installation, found a wool closeout at an unbelievable price and transformed my Master Bedroom. Im having them back to do my Living room, 2 other bedrooms, office and Dining room. Great people.Thanks for making my home look so much nicer!

Sullivan + Son installed almost 1200 sq. ft. of flooring (carpet and vinyl) in our house in less than 2 days; which is incredible. It looks amazing, and has totally transformed our outdated basement! Brad was very accommodating, and his installers were highly knowledgeable, easy to work with, and professional. We will 100% be using Sullivan & Son again for out next project!

I am pleased to offer the highest praise for Sullivan and Son Carpeting. They were professional and helpful in every way. The product we chose is beautiful; and Kristen really thought carefully about all the details, making useful suggestions along the way. The installation team was friendly, highly skilled and they cleaned up completely. It is disruptive to have carpet installed, but I would highly recommend this firm, as they made the process as easy as possible.

I was thrilled from start to finish with my experiences using Sullivan & Son for my flooring needs. They installed vinyl flooring, carpeting, and gym flooring in my home. Then I used them for pulling up carpeting and then sanding and refinishing wood flooring in a relatives home I was preparing to sell. Their crews are amazing: prompt, reliable, respectful, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. It was a pleasure dealing with their whole operation and I highly recommend.

COVID-shopping with Kristen was AMAZING! Because we are anxious about our newborn getting the coronavirus, Kristen walked us through the store with a live video chat! She explained the pros and cons of various carpet fabrics, and even ran her hand over the carpets so we could see the plushness, thickness, and softness of each carpet. She also gave us the price of each carpet. She was incredibly patient. Without having to go into the store, we were able to choose our carpet! Very happy with the whole experience.

Had my wood floors refinished by Sullivan and Sons. Not only was the customer service spectacular, the floors shine as if they were brand new. Because of the amazing job they did, I asked them to quote out my kitchen floors. Once again, beyond satisfied. Couldnt have asked for a better experience!

We recently renovated a couple of rooms in our house and shopped some of the big box stores thinking we would get good prices but the people on staff there really had no clue. Sullivan had great prices but they made the whole experience fun and interesting. Their service and follow up was impeccable. I have referred them to other friends who need carpet, tile or hardwood floors and all of them have thanked me for telling them about Sullivan and Son.

I was helping an elderly friend who was looking for a carpet, She ordered a carpet and when it arrived there was an error (everyone makes mistakes). When she called the store the owner came to her house, asked how he could fix the problem, and used the feedback to improve. He was a true gentleman and professional. He kept his word, and made no excuses, he accepted responsibility for the error and My friend was able to happily move on. She asked me to write this review for her and to tell everyone to buy locally and from them! She gives them a SIX star rating!

We had 30 plus year old carpeting that needed replacement. We went to Sullivan And Son and were helped by Bill. We couldnt be happier or more satisfied. The carpet is beautiful and the installation went very well. I would highly recommend them.

Have used Sullivan and Son Carpet since 1982 for all my flooring needs. Just recently had them remove old carpet in two rooms and install a Wood Laminate. Great selection to choose from with quick turn around from order to completed work. From salesman to installers very professional. Highly recommend

This is a belated review for work done September 2016. The job was to remove existing carpet and mat in a small bedroom. Furniture in bedroom was: bed, dresser, bookcase, armchair. I was given a quote at the store and asked to pay in advance which I did. I should mention that I had used Sullivans many times over 40 years and, in fact, brought in some of my very old receipts to show them. I specifically stated that there were new hardwood floors under the carpet and that there had always been carpet over the wood floor from new house day one, therefore when they removed the carpet they needed to pick up and not slide the furniture on the wood floor. The day the work was to be done I mentioned this to the several men who arrived to remove the carpet. However, they used sliders under the feet of the furniture which they did not pick up when the carpet was being removed, making scratches on the wood floor. They mistakenly used plastic sliders that were old and rough rather than carpeted sliders which should be used on wood floors. They also did not do a great job in pulling up every staples and removing staples already pulled up. I immediately called Sullivans and within a short time the person I dealt with arrived and agreed that the floor did sustain scratches from the sliders. He offered to have the floor lightly refinished at his cost. That was done the following week when all the furniture was moved out of the room into other rooms in the house. One week after that the furniture was moved back into the bedroom very carefully. While this could have been avoided and ended up taking two weeks longer with some inconvenience, it was resolved in a reasonable way with apologies. I think, in the future, I would not pay 100% up front in case they chose to be less cooperative if there was a problem.

They did some work for the American Legion of Hamden. Work was rushed, bubbles in carpet and tiles were coming up the day of installation. They had to come back the following day and corrected errors. Update: Ive had a chance to visit Post 88 again. The floor had been redone again. I had a chance to ask the post CMDR about it and the President of Sullivan and Son came back to examine the job I recently described. He saw flaws I had not even noticed and was also very unhappy with the work. He made sure the job was done right, and to the company standards. It seems post 88 of Hamden is very happy with the final result and from what I can see, I am impressed as well. It would have been better to see this quality of work from the beginning without having to have things fixed or redone, but Sullivan and Son Carpet truly is a company that stands behind their product and quality of work. I would recommend them to a friend.

Two years ago my husband and I bought a house from the 1920s an Alice Washburn.. It was covered in wall to wall carpet. Kristen and Brad were instrumental in redoing the floors, tiling, adding and blending the new wood floors to the old wood floors..this house was a huge project! They laid new flooring in the finished part of the basement and runners through out the areas we had stairs... We had a time line we needed to stick to and they were right on time... They always picked up the phone when I called and answered questions or address any concerns... End result was Beautiful...

We have shopped here several times and are thrilled with the great selection, knowledgeable staff and great installations. Avoid the big box stores and shop here with a local store with really knowledgeable staff.

I had some issues with the company and Ms.Sullivan corrected it. I am impressed,she did not pass the buck or offer excuses.

Removed hall carpets - sanded floor - coated with urethane. Awful job. Came back several times to try to fix it but couldnt because initial work gouged floors so badly. They use sub contractors who dont seem to care about quality.
