Went to pearl vision today and received outstanding service. I had my appointment today 10/28 and needed my glasses to be done immediately. The staff told me it could take 7-10 business days. THANKS TO AMIR I WILL BE RECEIVING MY GLASSES WITHIN 2 HOURS. You can imagine how hard it would be to go 7-10 business days without being able to see. THANKS AMIR FOR ALL YOUR HELP WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was looking forward to my appointment since I read good reviews, but I was very disappointed with the service I received. I spent an hour waiting for my eye exam after I checked-in, only for the doctor to spend a total of 5 minutes on my glasses + contacts exam!! He didn’t even care to refine my prescription. He asked me one time if “1 or 2” was better and then sent me off. What if I needed a stronger prescription? He obviously rushed my appointment, which was so infuriating since I paid $50 for the appointment, along with over $500 for glasses (even with my premium insurance)! This place is 1) a rip off and 2) uncaring of their services. I could’ve gotten a much better experience at a real doctor’s office, which is where I usually go, and cheaper too!

George and his team were just GREAT. My son lost his glasses and needed them immediately for school purposes. George went out of his way to help us get the glasses the same day. Terrific service all round.

Was told by a friend to visit Pearle Vision to see if they could possibly fix my Ray Ban Sunglasses. I was fortunate enough to meet their employee Ian who not only was able to repair my sunglasses but did so quickly and efficiently. If you’re debating checking this establishment out I highly recommend you do so.

Gotta give a shout out to the guys Eddie and George at the Hamden Location. In a timely manner they were able to match a new pair of frames with lenses from my broken pair, and enabled me to leave with a fresh set. Amazing service, highly reccomended.

I had a great experience with Pearl Vision. Ian was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. I would recommend Pearl Vision for anyone looking for quality customer service, eyeglass lenses and frames.

Gave them my Oakley 5 squared frames for prescription lenses with fire iridium lenses. Order took close to a month and the lenses were black. When i brought the issue up I was told their lab was unable to make those lenses. Contacted my old optometrist who is out of state and they told me they could have done that order for half the cost and half the time frame. 400 dollar lesson learned. The staff was friendly but i definitely will not be going back.

I am so happy I went here! I didnt know where to go so I went to another optical store first. Their prices were ridiculous, so I decided to give Pearle a shot. Eddie is knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. He gave me an excellent deal. His price was a full $200 less than the other store. Total no brainer. I will come here any time I need glasses.

I went to Pearle Vision because I need new distance glasses. My check-in with Marjohn with smooth and there no wait. The doctor was friendly and efficient. The biggest thing to note was the care when it came time for me choose glasses. I wasnt super invested in name brand frames, but decided to take a look. I found a pair that I love, but my insurance was not calculating my discount. DIANE was a life saver. She legit called the insurance company, told me my options, and took her time to ensure that I was not overpaying. As a result, my total went from $795 to $229 (I got some bougie frames). Its rare to receive the type of care and patience from someone, and DIANE went over and beyond. I recommend this spot. If you are getting glasses, ask for Diane!

The young woman at the front desk (oh no, I forgot her name!) was super friendly, and very helpful, even when she had to do some digging to figure out my insurance benefits. Amir is the guy there to talk to about lenses. He took me through all the options and explained the differences in price and quality and helped me figure out what were the best choices for me.

I could tell they were very busy but the receptionist who answered the phone was amazing, she answered all my questions patiently and was very informative. Unfortunately, they don’t accept my insurance but the customer service was so great.

First, I would like to duly note the perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness, that the Pearle Vision staff exude. They are not only friendly and professional, they are also knowledgeable and easy to talk to.This was my first visit at Pearle Vision and I am beyond pleased. I was in there for less than 15 minutes and everything was taken care of, thanks to: Ian and Amir.I left Pearle Vision under the impression that I would have to wait up to 7 days, for my Rx to be finished and in the frames I chose. They have a FABULOUS collection of Prada (my personal favorite) frames.TO MY PLEASANT SURPRISE - GEORGE - who is the handler, creator and repair-man - called me within 10 minutes of my leaving, telling me that my glasses would be ready in 30 minutes! He was working hard and was able to fit my frames into his task list, after taking a look at his inventory and finding the particular lenses that he needed!!George really made my day!! AND I CAN SEE!

Doctor Anthony Gordon was very rude. Front desk receptionist was knowledgeable, but very offensive when I asked questions. Hamden location is convenient to where I live and so I’d be willing to try a different doctor next time.

Amir answered my questions when I called and once I came into the store he was pleasant and helpful.He was clear about price ranges of frames, and worked with me to find something in my budget range and that worked with my insurance too.And he was cheerful and funny. He straightened out my old frames so theyll work while I wait for the new ones.Great service.

Eye doctor was amazing. He was able to solve my vision issue and took the time to check and recheck my issues. I wish the insurance follow up was as good as the doctor. I initially had an issue with my insurance but was never told it came back as declined. After following the instructions of sending an e-mail to the manager it would be followed up on as it was the day before the storm, no problem. I never heard back. I called back spoke with a female who didnt understand my situation with needing a special type of contacts. Once she understood she told me it needed to go to the billing department and someone will call me back. No call back. I called again spoke with the man from the first time. He kept asking me the same questions of my name, email spelling etc. Then tells me to give him my name again because he didnt write it down. I explained no one is calling me back. He then tells me it takes time its the end of the year and all optometrists in the world is trying to close out end of the year insurance. What?? Its becoming so frustrating as my vision is very poor right now and I need these contact lenses to correct my issue.Its unfortunate to have this experience. I think I will be calling to have my records transferred elsewhere so I can get the contacts I need to correct my vision.

Eddie not only does great work but also provides great customer service. He has a great attitude and was able to solve the issues I had with my eye glasses and more. Ask for Eddie.

Im giving them a 4 because of the staff which were awesome. Maryjohn was great explaining what my insurance covers and was so patient with me and all my questions. She also has a great personality. Amir was a great help with picking my new glasses, great personality as well.The doctor i seen that day was not my usual doctor. I disliked the way he treated me when the covid questions started inside the exam room. He has poor bed side manners. He literally took 2 minutes in the room with me and send me on my way. He kept coming and going from the exam room as if he didnt want to be in the same room as me. I will not be seen this doctor again.

Everyone was fantastic at the Hamden location. I messed up my appointment date and they still accepted me today. Amir was especially helpful with helping me pick out my frames and lens options!

This was my first time here and the receptionist MarJohn was very attentive making sure me and my family were okay and asked if we needed anything she is by far the most amazing receptionist I’ve met, she makes conversation with the customers and treats them as if they were family and that is the number one job of the receptionist to treat the customers as if they were family and with receptionist and as a receptionist you have to engage with them.

99% of the staff at this location is AMAZING. Unfortunately I won’t be doing business here anymore after my current eye exam. The optometrist was extremely rude and made my visit very unpleasant. He wore 3 masks and a face shield due to covid which is fine. However I didn’t appreciate him making multiple comments about my mask and how he doesn’t care that I’m fully vaccinated and basically told me to leave his office because he didn’t like my mask. He asked me multiple times if I’ve ever had the virus, the whole time we barely talked about my eyes. I feel bad because the rest of the staff was so easy to work with and kind. Not at one point did I feel the optometrist took an individual interest in my actual eyesight. That’ll be the last time I step foot in that establishment.

George helped get my frames today. He was very friendly and was a good help.

Pearle Vision has been a one stop shop for my eye care needs for quite a while now, maybe at least 5-6 years. Convenience, cleanness (especially during covid!!) and customer service take priority when it comes to choosing where to go for our medical needs and EYES are on top of the list for sure! The manager Mr Elias always offers a kind smile while trying to find out customers’ needs. Their staff check customer’s temperature upon entry and ask the customers to place the frames they try aside in order to be sanitized for next customers.. I mean not possible to get this level of one-on-one attention from a business nowadays when everyone is short on resources and time...Overall I highly recommend this business.
