Been going here for a while. I do all my scheduled oil changing and tires here. Never had an issue other than wait times are extremely long sometimes even up to 2 to 3 hours after appointment time before they took my car in. Today was quite different. I had an appointment at 11. I showed up around 1030, stood in front of the counter for about 30 minutes waiting to check in due to some computer issue ( understandable computers crash and they were rebooting their systems) only for the guy to tell me there is no way that they could get to my car today. All it needed was a quick AC recharge. I was pretty upset and left but as I was leaving I only saw 2 cars in the garage being worked on. What is the point of your appointment system. It serves no purpose. This business is ran as show up of you want to and we maybe able to help Best part was later that day I get an email from them saying I missed my appointment and if I’d like to reschedule. Yeah thanks but no thanks.
This place stands by their work. They did a great job with my tires a while back, and when I got a flat due to running over an object in the road, they fixed it on the same day in only 30 minutes and for an incredibly reasonable price! Daryl at the desk (I think the manager) was incredibly friendly and Ricardo, the mechanic, did a fantastic job. This is the location Im going to recommend from now on due to their fabulous customer service. Thanks!
They had the cheapest price for a set of tires they had the most warranty. The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I got home safely which is 3 1/2 hours away.

Had 4 tires and rims delivered to this location and they would put the tires on for $20. We showed up at 8am when you opened and after standing at the counter for 10 mins one of your mechanics said the wait would be an hour to an hour and 30 mins we said that’s fine no problem. We went and ran errands for 2 hours and when we came back our car hadn’t even been touched yet and all we got was a “sorry we have been set back” at this point we need the car as it’s our only one and my husband has to work so my husband asked if he could load up the tires and the mechanic just says “yeah” and walks away without even trying to acknowledge or help my husband load the tires into the car which in my opinion was the least you all could have done after we already waited for 2 hours and then got some whatever apology. Not to happy with the services we received and will not be back to your hanford location anytime soon!

We walked in and were immediately greeted by Robert, the store manager. He walked us to both parts that we needed. He knew the exact socket size we needed off the top of his head when we gave him the make and model of my husbands truck. He also gave us very helpful information about their website and told us he could order for us as well. He exceeded expectations, wasnt pushy, and was extremely helpful. We will be coming here from now on instead of the other local competitors. Excellent customer service!

You can; schedule your service repairs by phone or online. Drop your car in the private service parking lot, if the store is closed when you arrive and safely deposit your keys in the drop box to be safely held inside the store, to be first repair of the day or reserve the next spot in line. Great quality work by highly qualified mechanics. They will do their best to make sure you are back on the road as quickly as possible.
(Edited) Pep boys successfully rectified an issue I had with a recent service at my local shop. Its unfortunate that sometimes issues arise but its comforting to know that Pep Boys listens and cares about there customers and the service provided. Thanks for ensuring quality service Pep Boys!

I get pretty good service at pep boys. They have the best in stock selection in town as well as a speed shop. I do not use them for tires or service though as I have has bad experience with them on their a/c repair. Took 3 times to get it right.

Brake inspection led to purchasing parts for a DIY. The staff were gracious even though I did not have them do the work for me. Took the rotors back the next day and they resurfaced them nicely. Front brakes....DONE!!
Funny how they recommended front tires and when I decline that offer now I have a nail in my front tire. I checked it as soon as i got my keys and the kicker is that my tire pressure was at 35 psi and after an hour of finishing some errands it went down to 30 psi. Seems like shady business practice and fyi anything to deal with tires Les Schwab is the place to go. So I recommend if your dealing with the front counter Daryl W. or the mechanic Ricardo I. and if they recommend tires make sure to check your tires. If you have a nail please post it so this shady practice doesnt continue.
Ridiculous way of doing business!!! They pretend they couldnt fix a nail on my tire by saying that my tire wasnt fixable! And said they didnt recommend that. I had my grandparent with me and he is a certified tire tech. And also advise to just fix the nail just to get home. But these people even the manager said they can not fix it for us. I also asked them to let me sign a waiver to protect their liability.. But they laughed and said they dont have any liability waiver.
I have a car that apparently requires a special oil filter. I called ahead to insure it was there before bringing my car in and dropping it off. Hours later I was informed they didnt have it and to try again the next day. This was my second time having the same experience. The employees need a bit of instruction on not letting this happen again. The assistant manager however, did make things right after I spoke to him. I was able to get my oil changed and ended up leaving satisfied overall.
Most of the time when we go into this pep boys in Hanford California we get excellent service now that being said the service is excellent but the computers were going wonky this is a nationwide company?!?
I dig there price for my brake fluid exchange service. It was half the amount the Toyota service charge and theyre consider cheap compare to other dealerships.and I have luxury car soo🤷🏾♂️ your choice

Outstanding services! The staff here are friendly, kind and professional. It reminded me of the original trademark of Pep Boys. If more businesses mimic this customer service it would truly make Handford City stand out!
The service was fast since I only needed air in my tire.
More recently, I want to have a minor issue fixed. A girl named Tammy really went above and beyond to find the part that was needed for my car. I stand by my previous statement, but Tammy earns an extra star.Older statemrnt:Theyre selection is poor, and their prices are too high. The guy who helped me at the store was polite and honest, but the guy who helps me on the phone was pretty rude.

They sold me the wrong part twice it took going in 3 times before they realized they dont sell the part i need. Their willingness to try to fix the problems is why i gave them 2 stars instead of 1. I will be getting my money back for the part its self but i am out the money and time it took to put in. Make sure you know the part family and part number before you go in and make sure they check all of these.
Definitely dont take your car here. I had brought my car in for a tuneup because I didnt have time to do it myself. Labor was excessive. I ended up paying a couple thousand. Later on found out things they were supposed to replace, they didnt and they charged me full price. I also bought there best alternator after mine failed and I went through 3 of them before they actually found one that wouldnt fail. Parts are crap, and labor is way to much for the quality of work they do.

Just went in for an oil change and was there will over an hour waiting just to find out my car had been parked outside and nobody bothered to let me know it was ready. The girl was super friendly about it but the guy was rude.

Btw I work all kinds of different cars and never have an issue find the parts there.. sorry Pep Boys I had to drop you two stars went in to buy apart a part for my 2017 Corolla you guys didnt have it in stock and it was way overpriced so I went to OReillys and found it for $131.67 cheaper. SMH you guys used to have the best prices for Quality Parts parts
A bit on the high side...but...the technician is very through and checked everything. My truck needed brakes all around, a wheel bearing, new windshield washer hoses, rear end differential hoses and 4 new tires. Was completed in 2 days and Im glad I took it to pepboys..honest and fast service. Front desk,at service counter, this girl is well educated . Thank you Rose for keeping me updted.

Good place to go for your car parts needs, but a horrible place to have work done on your car. Went here on 2 occasions one of a leak coming from my thermostat housing another to replace my tires and get an alignment. The only thing they did right was replace the tires.

Car was making a really annoying noise when I went over bumps. I took it here because it was near by. The lady at the front desk Rose was pretty helpful. I asked if the machanic would ride around the block with me to hear what I was talking about. He seemed really uninterested and never asked a question the entire car ride. I asked him if he had any ideas his response no Ill have to see when we lift it. Im fine with that. Cut to an hour later I receive a call telling me that its the dashboard and its old age. The actual machanic took one test drive and looked no further. Its a 2008. Its no spring chicken but the sound is clearly a loose metal sound hitting another metal piece. They didnt charge me the inspection fee we agreed upon, BUT it was a giant waste of my time. Hopefully you dont bother with a poor excuse for a service and repair shop like I did.

With over 30-years with superior service from various Pep Boys location and one who spent over40-years in senior management, I have learned a few things.First, good customer service begins with attitude, mine and theirs will reflect dramatically on how the solution is achieved.Second, automotive repair environment has so many variables even the best is not without issues. Solutions are tough, but attitude achieves results when everyone is professional.So why am I writing this! After 30-plus years of experience with various Pep Boys Fresno locations; however, the majority of my business has been done at the Hanford location.Why do I return, the answer is simple – because we both believe in preventive service and they have always been extremely competent. They know both of our vehicles (which we do change about every 5 to 7 years). Their service(s) has always been upfront and yes there has been a surprise or two followed up coordination to a proper resolution. They have never wavered and whether I like it or not, their recommendation(s) have always been correct.Before I comment on recognition, as a student people, I am always watching staff no matter what business I frequent to decide how I will be served. I often pick up on a very bad disease called “You want customer service, then go someplace else”, and of course, I always leave and never go back. (Example, Home Depot, they lost me 17-years ago and over $30,000 in home improvement business [Lowes won that because they cared and still do]). That attitude is a very common and corporations are the culprit. With that said, on to the good stuff!Starting with Darryl (30-years of interaction top stuff), Armando, Carl, Tammie, Rosie, Chewy, Wendy, and Virginia always professional. Special kudos to the mechanics bench especially Rafael superior. Apologies on not knowing all their names but there is not one who requires a negative comment always friendly and professional.

Short story. Pays $106 for an oil change, asks for fluids to be checked and tire pressure to be checked.Leaves and checks tire pressure, front driver side is still at 29lbs as it was when I arrived. Fluids not filled.A bad job done by mechanics who are not mechanics but overpriced idiots.
Car wouldnt start and was very afraid it was the alternator. IT was just a dead battery and they got me in and out with no appointment

Got a smog check in inder 40 min, even after being late for appt.
This particular Pep Boys is crooked. I took a work truck in for an oil change and they tried to up sell all sorts of other work that was not needed.
Called to have oil changed and fuel filter replaced on my 15 Ram Ecodiesel. Said he couldnt get an accurate labor rate on fuel filter change because his computer screen was telling him 2.5 hrs. Having done it myself, I can say it takes 10 minutes to swap out. He wouldnt negotiate the matter, so I told him Id find somewhere else then. I will not be taking my vehicles to this location.
They are horrible, I waited 2 hours last time for my oil changed when I had an appointment and then this time I have an appointment for a alignment that they messed up on and they told me the person who had a appointment before me also had a alignment and my car would be ready in 3 hours?! Are you kidding me I have an appointment for a reason dont schedule a appointment back to back where you know both take about an hour or longer to finish. Thats ridiculous. I will never go back here they suck at customer service and everything and have no clue what they are doing!
