Great Neighborhood Hardware Store!After wasting hours wandering around big box stores, I quickly find what Im looking for here. This has been a family-run business for years. These folks are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and if they dont have what youre looking for, they can either order it for you or advise where you can find the item. They also try to carry as many USA-made products as feasible. Last year, I remodeled one of our bathrooms and these folks helped me through the entire process, from ceiling treatment, flooring, paint and trim. The project was a huge success thanks to their help!

Worked with Tony to put my order together, and he was really great. I just received my order today and I’m so happy with it. This will be my go to business for my lumber needs while I am here.Edit: Business is good until it isn’t. I’m so disappointed with this business. I purchased a few sheets of plywood back in august. Turns out they sold what they didn’t have so I had to wait. No problem. I called when they told me to call and they would give me delivery dates and then just not show. I finally got my delivery yesterday (1 month later). The driver said smaller orders lose priority and get pushed down the list. So, even though it’s product they OWED me, I did not have priority. AND it was the wrong order. I called to notify them and the employee is unsure whether they are out of stock or just misplaced it. I am tired of dealing with this and will take my business elsewhere. I’m so extremely frustrated.

They have a very good selection all around. The staff is helpful and polite. I dont think Ive ever gone in and not come out with exactly what I wanted.However, their hours make it difficult for anyone with a 9-5 job to catch them open. Most of the time I end up at Lowes. Would definitely like to see then open till 7 on weekdays and or Saturdays.

I’ve purchased a few Stihl machines here. Each time, the tech was very knowledgeable and helpful with questions I had and provided a demo of the machine. Customer service here, even on small items, is always above and beyond the big box stores.

The owner sat on the phone ignoring me as I waited with $3000 worth of equipment that I was trying check out. Two employees even tried to get him off the phone so I could pay but the owner didn’t even acknowledge I was there. 10 minutes goes by and he gets of the phone and starts helping a women who just walked in and had few questions. I ended up walking out and going to Home Depot. I received excellent customer service at Home Depot and set up a pro account. I always support local small business but Ace lumber yard in Killeen has lost my business! The sad thing is that I own two small businesses and if this experience went well I was going to be ordering large amounts of lumber and other supplies weekly.

I went in with a bit of an urgent request for lumber. I needed 91 12’ oak boards. Of course, they didn’t have what I needed in stock. Steffi went above and beyond and started calling all of her vendors to to get me what I needed. Even saved me $700-$800 compared to going to a big box store.After delivery, I found boards I just couldn’t use, but then determined I was also shorted quite a bit. Steffi, once again, went above and beyond. I believe she pulled from her own stock, replenished my shortage, and replaced the boards I couldn’t use.She stayed in contact. Consistently kept me informed. She also worked around my own work schedule to ensure I was taken care of.

Not a very good experience at all rude condescending employees when I went to return some stuff I was told to go sit in my truck and wait until they had time rude comments by the lady in the man by the commercial desk if you go go to the main desk dont go to the commercial desk sent out the wrong material extended my job about two weeks by telling me they can get stuff they couldnt I recommend not to go there I go to Lowes or Home Depot they have much better material

This is my go to place for lumber, window, and most of my building supplies. Fair honest. Locally owned, back by Ace. My honey do list goes down and I save not only hard earn money, but time as well.

Pricing at Heights Lumber and Supply is very fair. All of their materials are in great shape. If I have a special order of lumber they have no problem getting it for me. I have never had an issue with them taking longer. Great lumber company to work with.

My husband is in roofing and will sometimes need me to go pick up and drop off supplies for him. Sometimes I know exactly what he wants, sometimes I have no clue but the awesome people at Heights Lumber always help me figure it out. They even go the extra mile by helping me out to my car and loading it up when its something particularly heavy.

I went in today for paint. James, the sales associate provided stellar customer service. He located the paint color I needed and even told me about a product called Two Old Goats essential lotion. I suffer from FMS and arthritis. I tried the sample in the store and it made a believer out of me! Within minutes, the area which I applied it felt so much better. Thank you Heights Lumber!

Oh man! Heights Lumber Company cut my material cost in half literally on one job! They have everything in stock just like the bigger box stores and have the small store atmosphere and customer service that I personally love no customer is standing around wondering if somebody was gone notice everybody gets helped as soon as I come in the door or at least recognized I recommend them to everybody and they have my business from now on

Heights Lumber & Supply CO. has helped me with just about everything, ranging from floors to windows to lumber to trim. The employees there are very, very good. They are known for all being great hometown people that treat you like family. They definitely provide a family-type atmosphere.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE ONE ON ONE INTERACTION THAT I GOT WHEN I WENT INTO THIS LUMBAR STORE VERSUS ANY OTHER LUMBAR STORE. THEY WERE CLOSING YET THEY STILL TOOK THE TIME TO HELP US GET THE KIT READY FOR THE LEMONADE STAND THAT WE NEEDED FOR LEMONADE DAY. First and last time using this lumber company. I came in to buy lumber and supplies after finding the nails and screws i needed with no price listed I decided to ask the cashier for a price on lumber. I waited in line till the cashier finished his transaction and conversation then attempted to ask him the type of wood they had on stock he said three kinds and asked the customer behind me if he could help them. I said I still need a price. With a attitude he said Im helping a customer. It was very clear that my money was no good at there business . I will never attempt to shop at this rude place again.

I went to the Ace Hardware in Harper Heights looking for a nylon bolt and nut. Rather than saying go somewhere else, James Branham asked me what I was trying to accomplish. When I told him that it was a switch for a school project, he suggested a number of solutions all of which were good and workable. I ended up buying PVC pipe, a spring, end cap, screws and washers getting everything I needed to help my grandson complete his project. James will be listed as a resource on the project for his many helpful ideas, not the least of which was thinking outside of the box. Don Bedell

I have been a customer of Height Lumber & Supply for over a year. I am an Etsy business owner specialized in wood crafting. I started purchasing wood from this company due to its prices, outstanding customer service, and knowledge in lumber supplies. I used to buy treated wood from Lowes and HomeDepot, but quickly realized the prices were too high for my budget. I started to purchase rough lumber from this local-family owned business (please support small business instead of large franchises). Then I was able to compete with other Etsy seller’s prices.The best part of visiting this lumber store is talking to the friendly and helpful staff. Once I tell them what I been planning on creating, they start making suggestions as to how to save money by purchasing specific wood or available bundles. They often provide me with the information I need in order to make a smart buy. I have even called to order new supplies or to check availability. They answer their phone right away (Try that with Lowes; they will transfer you to other departments multiple times).I highly recommend this store. First time I had ever gone to this store but not likely to go back to it again.No one even acknowledged that I had entered the store. Passed a person whom I was tempted to request help from but I wasnt sure they were an employee so I continued to walk the circumference of the store in search of the isle I was looking for. Eventually a young lady who was sitting at a desk asked if I needed some help and when I told her what I was looking for she had some long wire,rod or fly swatter that she used as a pointer to point and announce the number of the isle I needed and from there I was on my own which is okay because I knew what I was looking for.Now when I checked out,there were 3 employees sitting there while another one was helping a gentleman at the counter but I was still told. . . .Someone will be right with you. I mean really? The young lady still sitting at her desk as one of the guys was talking to her and another employee talking on the phone and I overheard something about eating so I know he wasnt talking business. I guess the guy talking to the girl decided he could put their conversation on hold long enough to help me which was real kind of him! Seriously?I had a couple of other things I wanted to pick up but for the lack of concern of the employees I quietly said a prayer as I stood and waited to be checked out and asked God to just get me out of here before I say something. I wasnt about to ask them for anymore help. . . God forbid that I take them from gossip and meal plans.Not the kind of service you get at the Ace Hardware store in Copperas Cove and despite the 10+mile drive to get there,from here on out I will go to the Ace Hardware in Copperas Cove or I will go to Lowes or Home Depot.

Great selection. Horrible service. Man behind counter is playing on cell phone and rolls his eyes and grunts because he has to stand up to check me out. Took 2 minutes of me standing at desk before he would do so and then acted like i was inconviencing him. I go buy products from ace hardware every day in Clifton Tx. Will never be back to this one.
