I started coming to Garzas a few years ago after almost giving up on finding TRULY AUTHENTIC barbacoa. The barbacoa at Garzas might be a little pricey, but worth EVERY PENNY! Now you might ask yourself, is there cheaper barbacoa else where? The answer to that question is YES, but thats EXACTLY what you will be getting CHEAP barbacoa. Do yourself a favor and save yourselves the disappointment of eating subpar barbacoa and come visit Garzas tortilla factory. You will be GLAD you did!

My first time here, and didnt disappoint. Very good barbacoa, tortillas, and the three salsas all have very good flavor. Although kinda leaning towards the spicier one, although I couldnt tell if its has habanero or not.Great staff too, and a big thank you to Ruby for helping this old discombobulated disabled veteran navigate the ordering process, which was a lot easier than I thought.

The search of a great Barbacoa place in Harlingen has turned up GARZA! The prices are a little high but the QUALITY is too.We ordered 1lb of Especial and 1lb de Lengua. Outta the both, the lengua was tender and juicy. We like to mix both but the lengua knocked it out.The Verde Salsa was delicious and spot on. Tortillas, soft and warm. Line by 7AM but it was fast, 15mins wait.Dress them up with onion and cilantro.

This place has really good Barbacoa for the Weekend. But you better come early because the lines are long. But it is worth the wait. Vero attended to my order. She was fast and friendly. I highly recommended here.

A friend recommended this place for barbacoa so decided to try it. I always get my barbacoa in San Benito where I live. She told me to get the chachete, and it was very good also the red salsa. Its get a bit overpriced for me, but it was worth it. I would definitely go back becuz I like the fast service and good food.

Good morning. Ive been buying BBQ here for a while. Love it by the way. But staff is rude, no customer service at all! A simple good morning would be nice. Or a slogan. I would like to see some type of improvement to make my experience better.

The tortillas here are probably the worst in the Valley but their barbacoa and salsa verde make up for it 10 times over!

This is definitely the spot to go for Barbacoa on the Weekend. Quality is very good but the lines are typically very long. They do have a drive thru, but Ive found that calling ahead to place your order and then going inside seems to be the faster way to get your order.

I purchased 1dz tamales ...6 chicken & 6 pork! Oh my God were they good....not oily... enough meat ...masa was perfect and they just slipped right off the husks. If ur looking for tamales forthe holidays I highly recommend Garza Tortilla Factory.

Recently moved here from Brownsville and I had a problem looking for barbacoa place in the area. Garzas has been the best choice in the area. Barbacoa is a lot more expansive than back in Brownsville, but the flavor on the barbacoa is great.

The ONLY place to get TAMALES. Warning: on Sunday mornings there will be a line (inside and drive thru)...and you may have to park some distance away, but your patience will be well rewarded. And you need the exercise 😉

Everyone in the family comes here for the barbacoa. Its well known and its always fresh. Great customer service.

Id give a -5 if I could. The owner is mean and rude! Talks bad to the workers. Tells them he will train them but instead just makes them learn on there own! When asking for help dosent help and just makes them feel bad. Talked to one worker so rudely in front of several costumers when the girl just asked for help. TR talked to the girl after words and she told me she was very upset. Even told me there was a dog in the back were the food was being made gliding its butt on the ground never going there again!!!

They served the person behind me first, eventhough I was next in line. The babacobra is over priced. Does not come with tortillas or salsa. After getting a refund cashier was rude. Save yourself $30 and go elsewhere. Will not be going agian.

The BEST authentic tamales in the RGV. These are like your family would make. EXCELLENT! Now on to the chips...We ordered 2 huge batches of chips for my father-in-laws 75th bday party. They were made the day of the party and were just Excellent! Family that was born and raised in Harlingen kept asking...where did you get these chips...bcuz I actually live in Austin, they thought I brought them from home. So way to go Garzas Tortilla Factory. The owner and staff, super nice and helpful. SO GO GET SOME DELICIOUS FRESH Tamales and Chips...oh, and btw there tortillas arent bad either :)
