Stepping into Frederics store I was immediately greeted with delectable smells and an inviting chef. We conversed delightfully and I was warmed by his personality and candor. And as much anticipation as I had to try these sweets, I was not prepared for the truly amazing flavour sensation that transcends my descriptions. Frederic Loraschi is a true hidden gem! On a back street off of Jonestown Road, they have chocolates, ice cream, drinking chocolate mix, macarons, French pastries, pie, and so much more! We loved the croissants and Macarons! Definitely coming back ASAP to try more items! Yum 😚

My fiancee knows I love chocolate, so he surprised me with a milk chocolate bar and an assorted chocolate box for Valentines Day. As a huge chocolate lover, and having lived in Harrisburg between 2015 and 2019, I cannot believe Id never heard of Frederic Loraschi. Oh my heavens, I have to practice some serious will power from eating all of them in one sitting! Each chocolate is a new experience with the flavors coming together like a symphony. I know that sounds silly, but its the best way I can describe it. I think my fiancee has created a monster, because I will definitely be returning to try the other amazing products!

My husband brought me here for our anniversary and we got different flavors in the chocolates that are in the display case. They were perfectly tempered and filled. I bought a smaller box of macaroons, and they were my favorite. They are a variety box. All delicious! I was going to get the truffles, however, i ended up eating all the macaroon, and the 6 pieces of chocolates for lunch that day. I knew that was more than enough for me! Next time i will be getting truffles!

I cant say enough good things about Frederic Loraschi. Everything they sell there is amazing, I have yet to have anything I bought that I didnt love and Ive had a good variety of what they sell. Anyone looking for gourmet French desserts and/or chocolates look no further because this is the place to be. They are doing a great job following Covid safety as well which makes me feel safe to go during these trying times.

I dont know how this place stays so small. Frederic is an absolute sweetheart who personally greets you and you can tell this is where his heart is. The chocolate is a dream. Its so beautiful that you almost dont want to eat it and when you do, its like what I imagine hearing for the first time is like. It taste like a beautiful Symphony written for you being sung by an angelic chorus thats being delivered to you on a bed of the worlds softest feathers at sunrise. So worth the trip from Baltimore to Harrisburg. Ill be stopping there before I visit my sister every time.

I used to live within a mile or two from the shop and visited as often as I could. Mr. Loraschi was always so nice and talked to my kids about chocolate and techniques. We unfortunately moved and no longer get to go to the store much, but are so happy his wonderful items are available online. His chocolates are what other chocolates wish they could be! Truly the best.

Frederic’s chocolate creations are amazing! I found his bright yellow boutique when I made a wrong turn, and I’ve been turning that way ever since! The unique designs and flavors of confection cannot be topped by anyone in the area. Recently I’ve been purchasing his luscious pastries, never disappointed. And today I just came home with Frederic’s fresh churned vanilla bean and banana ice creams! Each time I visit, I’m greeted like a good friend, by Frederic and his son, Julian. Love to pop in for a little treat and lovely conversation.

Amazing chocolate shop! Not only is the chocolate high quality and well priced, but the experience of visiting was wonderful. My husband and I decided to check it out on a whim and were greeted by the (award winning) chef who gave us a little tour of all the chocolates, candies, and French baked goods (macarons and a specialty pastry on Saturdays). We also got to sample a lovely lavender chocolate. I normally dont like anything floral but it was one of the best chocolates Ive ever had.We ended up buying a custom box, which we are thoroughly enjoying. This is a place we plan to go any time we want a special treat and we both highly recommend it.

When I was in Paris ten plus years ago I had the best chocolate of my life. Loraschi’s creations are better. It’s truly a gem of a place in the middle of central Pennsylvania. It’s now my staple gift to friends and a treat for myself. It’s fresh and the quality is outstanding. The creative combinations of the chocolates are perfect. LOVE it.

I love everything about Loraschi Chocolates. I am lucky to live locally so this is my go place to get hostess gifts and small gifts for friends. We love all the products and they are so beautiful. People feel special to receive a gift that looks like a work of art. Frederic is a master of his craft and fun to talk to about chocolate. My favorites are the dark chocolate truffle and the salted butter caramels but really like all of his products. People in central Pa really need to get the store and check it out.

Quality is surprisingly good for Harrisburg on par with high end chocolate shops in big cities. for Chef is a very generous and pleasant French chocolate/pastry chef with one some national awards.Very personable and loves to talk to customers.Frederic typically has two types of small custom chocolate cakes and other pastries. Holds small (~6 person) food/baking classes on Saturdays for ~$70 or more depending on complexity. Local bakers can come get good chocolate chips (white, dark, milk) for their own uses.

The man is an artist. Having purchased from many of the high-end chocolate shops in Paris, I can confidently say that Lorashi easily equals or, in many cases, exceeds the quality (presentation and flavor) of what they offer. Absolutely amazing stuff!

I am particularly partial to the dark chocolate covered candied orange peels, but everything from the chocolate chip cookies to the chocolate bars to the painted variety of chocolates is spectacular. We never made it to his store and so ordered sight unseen... or untasted? :-) We were NOT disappointed. We ordered 6 of the Gourmet Chocolate Gift Boxes, kept one for ourselves and gave away the other 5. What a stunnng gift- from the tissue paper it comes wrapped in, the enclosures, to the beautiful gem-like chocolates inside----we were all wowed by this set of 16 treasures! I cant wait to visit the store and see what else there is to enjoy. I highly recommend the gift box of assorted, beautiful delicacies!
