Excellent and quick work, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very inexpensive for labor given what it might have been. Highly recommended.My problem was a stripped Phillips head screw in a Chromebox. Tip: Use the right tools and make sure your efforts to fix things are using proper materials! Anyway, they removed the screw and I can finish the upgrade. Thanks guys!

A good local place for some computer hardware like cases, motherboards, drives, power supplies and other bits and pieces as well as refurbished used PCs and laptops and services. Selections have been a bit sparse with everything going on lately.

They are very highly skilled and knowledgeable. The only downside is the 3 to 5 day wait for them to get to your job unless you pay a $35 fee. But given how good they are and the stacks of machines in for service it is understandable.

Good place to fix your computer. Very truthful and honest guys with a lot of experience when it comes computers. Their charges are always very reasonable and at times they dont even charge you penny when the problem is minor. I will recommend them to anyone who need his or her computer fixed to go to this guys.

Took my laptop screen to be fixed months ago.They gave my laptop the wrong diagnosis and ALMOST made me pay for both a new screen and a new motherboard even when it was their fault.Very dissapointed with how they handled the whole situation. I had to be the one that kept calling them because they were very bad at communicating with me. At first I thought the repairs would take long because of ordering new parts due to the pandemic, but in reality they had messed up my motherboard and were trying to fix it but didnt communicate that with me until I called them.Very very dissapointed with this place.The worst part is I know I will get my laptop back on worse condition after this is all done.

We had Alliance out to the firm for an information technology class and everyone enjoyed it. The facilitators, John and Rich, were informative and empowering with the information they disseminated. I couldnt be happier with these folks! I sent them an e-mail about a crashed computer and got a phone call within the hour. An in-home inspection was set up for the next day and the technician showed up well within the agreed upon time. He was knowledgeable and actually had a sense of humor.We discussed the problem and agreed upon a solution and the repairs are in progress.Id like to add a few words on cost. Ive dealt with four different computer businesses in York over the last decade. All of them were over-priced and two of them actually made the problem worse. The last one I dealt with charged $ 30 more per hour than Alliance. Their mark-up on parts was also an astounding 400%.Alliances hour rate is more than fair as is their cost of replacement parts. Their entire staff, from scheduling to the actual technicians are courteous and, more importantly, they know their stuff.Im totally impressed.

Ive had several different lap tops repaired here. Always had them fixed at a reasonable fee, and within a few days time. The staff always gives me some helpful tips, (as I am a dummy with technology), and when I get the lap top home, it runs like new.Good customer service is a thing of the past.....BUT NOT IN THIS PLACE!!!! Awesome job guys!

This company was very nice. the sales associated talked a little too fast for me but when he saw that I knew what I wanted and was talking about he stopped the sales talking. they fixed my computer right away and it runs great. the only thing I was disappointed with was they didnt put an antivirus back on it. but I understand. thanks for your service.

WORST PLACE EVER!!! FORGET THIS PLACE AND THE STAFF. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I GOT COMPLETELY SCREWED OVER AND THEY DIDNT CARE OR REFUND MY MONEY. THEY KEPT TELLING ME IT WASNT THEIR FAULT SO THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. SPENT OVER A 100 BUCKS FOR A PHONE TO WORK FOR THREE DAYS. Took my laptop to this Alliance shop for a free diagnosis. Told the techs at this alliance I dropped the laptop last year pretty bad but it worked up until 3 days before hand and wouldnt load past the asus spash screen. They carelessly ripped the computer open (damaging screws and such, some parts even require soldering now). Told me it was the hard drive and offered to put the laptop back together with epoxy for 250$ at a chance it would hold together and work. I refused and they handed my laptop back in pieces.I took the computer pieces to a different tech business who repaired my laptop easily the last 2 times I had this problem with this computer. They thought I had manhandled and taken the computer apart myself. When I told them this was the outcome of a free diagnosis from a at alliance computers they looked shocked and horrified and didnt believe me.

I dont know why this place even exists. All the employees are idiots who dont know any more about computers than what you can read on the box, and you have to explain everything to them multiple times. All the hardware they have in there is either WAY overpriced or its legacy hardware for old XP computers. This is the kind of place for people who go out to buy online poker installation disks and still use CRT monitors.

Completely out dated everything. if you just need an adapter for $1 and dont wanna wait for Amazon, then come to Alliance and spend $25 on that same part minus the shipping! Get your pc fixed with parts that were out-dated 5-10 years ago.(dont believe me? see for yourself)oh, i used to work at Alliance, so i know this is all 100% true.Please save yourself the time and go Anywhere else.

Incompetent and shady practices. Called asking for price on new laptop RAM and price for used...they said its all the same price because they cant tell the difference..I said the new comes sealed in a pack, then he said they take it out and put it on the case...wow really? NO computer shops or private business do that! theres a big difference between new and used even if it passes the diagnostic, namely a module thats been ran for 2,000 hours compared to 0 is going to fail sooner.. My mom earlier this year brought a desktop in that just had the SATA data cable removed, she was told the hard drive was bad.. and all in all would cost well over $100... I opened the case when she told me, plugged data cable in..and computer was fixed in 10seconds...

My first visit was educational and left me with high hopes, I was just scouting the place, they have a lot of parts, and the employees seemed approachable. I returned with my PC and was given some basic tips as to what could be going wrong, and was directed to the appropriate parts for the fix. I returned the next day with continued problems, and was told that a diagnostic could be done for 35 dollars and to expect a call in 3 to 5, maybe 7 business days. I waited patiently, and did not recieve a call. I finally contacted them 13 days after I dropped the machine off, and was abruptly put on hold. In the time I was on hold, (approx 10 minutes) I made my way to the store to speak with someone in person. I spoke with the employee that put me on hold, who instructed me to hang up, and informed me that I was 9th in line. I asked how this could be possible, as it had already been her for 13 days. They had no answer, so I spoke with a manager who told me that turnaround time is usually within a week. He then offered to go speak with the service manager for me. I told him I would contact him later in the day to discuss the matter with him. I tried twice and each time he was indisposed, (lunch and a meeting). The second call I asked the associate for advice and he recommended upgrading my diagnostic service to priority or next day. Both at least doubleing the cost. I then informed him that I wanted to cancel the diagnostic and I would be picking up my machine. He said OK and that was the end of the conversation. When I arrived to pick up my machine, the employee that I spoke with in the morning was there, but did not help me, the manager said that he had not had lunch yet and was leaving the store to get lunch, this being 5pm. A third employee helped me get my machine, which I had to point out to him. When I got the machine to the car, a note was posted on it saying that I had canceled my service, and a diagnostic had been done on it, and the processor and the motherboard were incompatible. I was disappointed that after 13 days I was still 9th in line, and was kept on hold for 10 minutes on my initial call. And when I entered the store, still on hold, I found the person who put me on hold helping other customers. I did not feel valued as a customer, and in their place, would have atleast tendered an apology, or an explaination as to why the service had been delay for so long. Instead I was ignored, and ushered out the door. I have to admit that under better management, this would be a great business, as the merchandise is abundant, but it appears from the multiple community awards displayed in the windows, that a once mighty service provider has fallen.

Sold me a used damaged part as brand new in the retail packaging. This is after telling me I must pay a 15% restocking charge on anything I might buy and return because they test all returned items. What a joke. As others have said prices are high and most items are generic Chinese junk.
