We have been going to their store for years and they always provide us with top notch service. Most places are all about making money, Hidef is about being honest and doing what is best for the customer.

Bought a tv and a soundbar from Dylan @ HiDEF. This place was fairly easy to find, but you can miss it in an instant. Once inside there is a huge selection of equipment to choose from, I had a great opportunity to try out, listen to, play around with many different options. I didnt have any pushy salespeople bothering me, in fact let me browse in peace (my preference). Dylan helped me decide (when I was ready) on a 75 Sony tv. His knowledge of devices was incredible, I didnt feel like I was being fed a brochure line like the big box stores(being pushed into a specific manufacturer for store kickbacks). He also helped me find a sound bar and powered sub to fit my liking. We chose the JBL since I prefer more powerful low end that not all packages offer. They have some very high end equipment that is out of my $$$ range, but enjoyed seeing the future upgrade opportunities. Ask for a demo of the Devialet equipment, I was floored by the clarity and depth in such a small elegant package, someday I hope to be able to afford it.In the back they have a car audio installation area. I asked for a tour and saw some amazing cars with crazy installations.I miss the stores like this, there are not many around anymore, sad in fact.If you go in ask for Dylan he will take care of you.

Great Customer service : Called and spoke with Dylan about Surround Sound receivers and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and honest about the information he was providing, a refreshing experience in Sales ! And the most noteworthy thing is he didnt have my item in stock, but still hung on to speak about the product and other products to provide more knowledge. Really appreciated this customer service. I intend to do business with these guys in the future for sure.

I was allowed to use the 10% first time customer discount on an already heavily discounted demo unit on their site. This brought the price down to below what Ive ever seen this product (a headphone amp) go for on the used market. I was concerned the condition of the item might not be great, but no - the amp I received was basically indistinguishable from a new product. All of the original packaging was included, none of the accessories appeared to have ever been opened. I dont think I could have found this good of a deal anywhere else, Ill definitely consider these guys again for online audio purchases.

Walked in to inquire about a new head unit for my car. Was advised that the person in charge of that department was not in at the time. I left my contact details, and received a call from him when he became available. The workers are easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about their products. I have my appointment for a new head unit to be installed in a week.

I purchased a high end turntable accessory from these fine folks. There was an issue with the component upon receipt ( through no fault of their own ). I called and spoke with Chris, and in a matter of minutes, the issue was resolved. A replacement was sent immediately. Included was also a prepaid return label. It was a true pleasure dealing with a company who puts me first and went above and beyond to make certain that my concerns and needs were meet. I pre-ordered a speaker and after payment was accepted and the order was confirmed, it was then abruptly canceled. I checked back on the site and the speaker now showed available. I re-ordered it, paid, order was confirmed, then again it was canceled. You are better off buying from Amazon, where they commit once an order is accepted. I missed my chance, but they had the same price I was only trying to support a local business. Now it will cost me since the sale is over. Very disappointed.

The guys here are awesome! Even though they are a high end shop they helped me out with buying a small Bluetooth speaker and they treated me as if I was there for a big expensive system. I loved the showroom and couldnt believe how amazing the equipment there was. Such beautiful stuff! Ill be going back for my next audio purchase for sure. These guys really care about you no matter how.much money you have when you walk in.

I went to Hidef looking to upgrade my supra cabling for my home system. I try to give my money to local stores whenever possible. All the employees were gathered in an office, chatting when I walked in. I wandered around for a good 5 minutes, strolling past the office twice. Not a single person even said hello, let alone offered help.

I ordered a nice speaker, however 4 days before it was supposed to arrive I received a cancelation with no explanation. Not sure if I can trust this company.

First off, I want to personally thank Taylor for doing such a great job with customer service. Second, I would like to give a huge round of applause for HiDef Lifestyles quality in products, knowledge, and craftsmanship in developing such a high quality store. Wow! These guys are truly fantastic. I purchased a phono amp on Amazon. I ordered the wrong product and had it shipped to the wrong address. Chris in returns picked up the phone both times I called and got it straightened out. He was genuinely interested in getting me up and running ASAP even though I had blown it on two fronts. In this day of Customer no Service These guys break the mold. They will be my go to from here on out. Thank you!

I traveled a good distance to get to HiDef. It was well worth my time. I met up with Dylan and he helped me out a great deal. His knowledge of home stereos is unsurpassed. Im very pleased with my purchase and I recommend Dylan and HiDef to anyone interested in a home stereo system.

The manufacturer actually sent me the wrong product - several times. Clearly not a great situation, but the customer support at HiDef Lifestyle stayed on top of them until they got it right - all turned out okay in the end. Everyone I dealt with at this company got back to me right away and made sure I was taken care of. Wrong product initially - but great service - great place to buy from.

To the person that complained about a restocking fee. You must have liked something about them if you made a purchase in the first place. Many companies have a restocking fee as such. If you change your mind and return something, this has some cost to the store. To keep costs down, soem will implement a restocking fee.

I upgraded my Paradigm system. Dylan was very knowledgeable and professional. Great customer service.

This place is amazing. i drove from Bmore to Hburg to see this store.i was a tad bit disappointed they only had 2 projector rooms. their site says 7 display rooms...well, the majority are for sound.that aside. they cover a tremendously wide selection of products.from just above big box stores to just about upper echelon.if you live near Hburg and are looking for good to great quality audio/video....this is your spot !

This place is terrible, customer support is non existent. Ordered a pair of speakers from them March 30th and still have not received them, its April 17th! Beware of this shady company. Never again will I buy from them.
