To tell the truth I was concerned going into a store for running and biking. I clearly don’t do either one. But I was recommended to wear Hoka shoe and they were the only place in Harrisonburg to get them. The guy who greeted me immediately looked at my shoes and knew why I was there. He knew the shoe I needed. I was impressed they had my size since I wear a wide shoe. The people there are amazing and wonderful! Plus they bring their dogs to work which me and my husband loved. I will be back and will recommend this locally owned business.

You cant go wrong with the bike shops of Harrisonburg! Bluestone isnt the largest, but Ive always found exactly what my bike needs there and Im sure any runner will too! My doctor recommended this place. My Bondi 7 shoes are very comfortable and they are worth the money. The staff is very amazing and willing to answer all your questions and they are willing to order shoes for you if they dont have them in the store.

Very good place to do business with. The staff is knowedible about there running shoes and the bicycles they sale. They also repaired a couple vintage bicycles for me so my grandkids will be able to enjoy the bikes like I did when I was young.

The workers are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and very kind. However, two of five of the workers did not have masks on. When asked, the individual fitting me for shoes said he did not have a mask at work that day and that he tries to stay behind the counter. He was not staying behind the desk and people behind the desk, co-workers, also deserve protection. The three other workers were wearing masks.

These guys have had my back again and again when I visit Harrisonburg to ride. They actually care about their customers and want to see you out and riding and having a good time. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great store where they truly care about the shoes you are getting and how it will improve your running. My wife is an avid runner and she has had a lot of foot pain over the years. We decided to come here to look into some new shoes for her and the staff was great. They measured her feet for her and we realized she had been wearing the wrong size to accommodate for the width of her feet. After figuring this out she tried on a few pairs and then ended up ordering a pair to be delivered to the store. A week later she had her new shoes and her feet have been feeling a lot better while running.Overall it was a great experience and the staff was extremely helpful!

**This is not a review**Didnt know how else to ask.. but I was wondering if you guys would be going back to selling disc golf discs and accessories again? Would be really great to have an actual local store/distributor (other than the over priced crooks at Dicks Sporting Goods with a less than minimal selection). I know its not a booming business but it is growing every year. I would certainly be a regular and a lot of people i know.Please consider the option, would be greatly appreciated!

10/10, I would be a repeat customer and would recommend Bluestone to anyone visiting the area! Bluestone was friendly, professional, and highly knowledgeable every step of the way. As a bike shop mechanic, I know how challenging it can be to provide customized service that meets the skill level and expectations of the customer. The folks at Bluestone nailed it and made the bike rental and shuttling experience smooth and seamless. The two bikes my buddy and I rented were in great shape and well specd for the local trail conditions. Our shuttle driver Adam had seemingly perfect knowledge of each trail in the area and provided excellent descriptions of each one. Adam was friendly and flexible the whole day, taking trail photos, making sure we stayed hydrated, and providing us with a delicious lunch in the shade complete with a camp table and chairs. If you want to ride Reddish you need a shuttle and if you need a shuttle you need Bluestone. Keep up the great work guys!

Kids and I just had an awesome experience here at Bluestone looking for helmets for the kiddos. They not only helped us find ones that fit better than anything Ive ever seen (definitely better than those uncomfortable buckets I wore as a kid!), there was even some toy cars to entertain the littlest guy while we fit the helmets. Then, on our way out, they gave each of the kids an organic chocolate milk! We will definitely be back. I love seeing small businesses doing everything right.

I really love going into Bluestone Bike and Run. Im a road biker who routinely has to get work done on my bike. Dave and Erik are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to explain things in terms that a layman can understand. I trust their integrity. I know that they wont just try and sell me the most expensive item or do repairs that are unnecessary. Im really glad to have a shop like this, run by people like this.I see that some folks posted negative comments, but those are from 6 months or more back. Love the location! (Coffee while you shop!) Lots of accessories and running shoes. The team takes the time to fit you in the perfect shoes for your feet. If youre not a fan of parking downtown then go see Bluestone Bike & Run at their big store just a mile south of this location.

Impressive new ownership of the former Marks Bike Shop. New lay-out is awesome--so much easier to find what youre looking for, plus lots of new products--such as running shoes and related clothing and gear. Biking is still their mainstay, though, and they cater to all levels of bikers from those who want a simple touring bike up to those who bike in major races. Kids bikes too! Amazing staff who are friendly and really know their products.

I really like Bluestone Bike & Run! I got a Hybrid Cannondale 2 years ago when I moved to Harrisonburg and they were very patient in trying to sell the best product for my needs. I had trouble speaking English at that time, especially because I didnt know anything about bikes, but Charlie was very patient and sold me a bike that I love.Since then, they have always been helpful when I need it and I even recommended the shop to a friend who also bought a Cannondale.

Adam did a great job guiding us today, pushing just a little when we needed it and altering plans easily when it was clear the hills were too much for me. My only sadness is for me not having more gas in my tank today.

As a Harrisonburg podiatrist, I have spoken with maybe 20 people that have purchased my advised Altra running shoes or Hoka shoes at this store. No one has yet complained about the service or shoes. I cant say that about any other stores in town. It is the only store I know of in Harrisonburg selling the Altra shoes which are fantastic for casual wear as well as for running. Finally, a shoe has been made that is the shape of the human foot. Who would think?

Purchased my first Canondale - awesome experience, - knowledge and service top notch!

Its alright. I didnt find the employees to be all that cool. I took my bike to get its chain looked at, I knew what was wrong but couldnt fix it. One of the links was stiff, I tried and tried to fix it myself by doing all the things that should work, nada--. So I went in and asked if I needed a new chain or if they could look at it for me. Well one of the guys fixed it in about 10 seconds, and I was like thats it? Haha and he gave me the Yeah, thats it *shrug* Like:yeah you idiot see how easy that was? As if it wasnt embarrassing enough--. If something like that happens youre supposed to say things like: yeah that happens sometimes or yeah it was pretty stubborn. In all honesty though, it really wasnt that big of a deal. Its just that I keep going to these bike shops with young, arrogant employees, that think theyre brain surgeons because they can fix simple machines.
