I walked into the place and this lady was yelling at the top of her lungs at something. Im not sure who she was talking to but standing near my she was talking awfully loud. Moments later I heard her belittling two of her employees. One young girl and an older lady. She said Im not going to do your job and you have to figure it out yourself. Again this dark-haired lady with glasses whom I was told was the owner was so rude to these two women right in front of a shopper being myself. There were items I wanted to purchase but after this experience I didnt want to do it as I would just remember these two poor women being belittled by the owner.. it was one of the worst shopping experiences.

I was very disappointed with my experience. Our offer on a table was accepted, money was exchanged and just before we were given our change, we were told (I’m assuming from the owner of the business) that we could not purchase the item at that price. Her excuse was that she thought it was a different table we were buying, I understand mistakes happen but she did not counter or make any affect to work with us on the table. The sales lady was very nice, apologized many times. We appreciate her affects.

Katie, the store owner, is wonderful. She helped my mom out by selling her furniture when she downsized from a house to a senior apartment. My mom was going through very hard financial times, and I am so grateful for Katie selling my moms things for what they were worth. I appreciate that Katie and her staff will keep your things until they are sold rather than returning them to the owner (unsold) after a few months. It has been a pleasure shopping there, as well. Beautiful items.

I have been there several times and always received expert help and great prices.

Wow, there seems to be a common thread when it comes to reviews of this retailer and the owner Katie. I really dont know who you think you are but you just treated my husband so rudely and condescending today. He came to have a piece of furniture looked at and you just told him he wasnt a customer he was a consignee. WHAT! When he asked a question about your protocol when pictures are sent he thought you circulated the pictures perhaps. She told him it was for inventory and was very offended by his question. Katie said by him asking that question he was unfriendly! My husband then told her you know who is unfriendly, you! He never was treated as a customer so badly before, ever. Oh wait, he isnt a customer according to Katie, hes a consignee! Apparently it is okay in your book of retailer etiquette to be rude to your consignees. You make money off of peoples items so they are your CUSTOMERS! Wont be back ever!

Beautiful furnishings and home decorations of all types. Items are gently used, the items are quality and very unique. You never know what amazing things you will find there.

I can NOT just stop in to this store (or its sister store in Pewaukee) for a quick look around--it snags me for at least an hour or more because there is SO much to see. Its a beautiful store with a huge variety of high quality home furnishings sold on consignment and a few new things like candles (and candy I cant resist). There is always something new, and I know if I love it I had better buy it, because it will be gone!

This place always has some cool and unique stuff. If you ever need a rug they have a HUGE selection of rugs in their rug room in the back upstairs.

Today was my first experience with DesignXChange and I had to write a review after having seen so many negative ones below.Within moments of walking in with my toddler, I was greeted right away with a smile and was not only asked as to what I was there to see but shown different themed rooms to meet the interest of myself and my young daughter.The staff was excellent in helping keep my daughter occupied and happy while I was able to examine the many items this store has to offer.I was surprised to see the beautiful array of furniture put together with collective decor to give each section its own theme.I would not describe this store as a flea market, as there is a certain quality and standard if a high end retail store featuring pieces of furniture and decore that are just as unique as yourself.I know that I will be a returning customer here as everyone staffed were more concerned with my needs and my childs than just the items in the store.We thank you for such a positive experience to Renee, Roseanne, Susie and Heidi!

I like shopping at this store except the owner is so bossy and nasty, that it makes me uncomfortable. She talks to her staff and customers with a very bad attitude. My friend stepped up one step on a ladder that was sitting there to look at something on the top shelf, and she almost took her head off. Wont take any new people there again. The stock is nice and prices are fair, but the owner does not deserve the business.

When this resale store first opened I found the staff to be friendly and helpful with a nice, reasonably priced selection of preowned decor/furnishings. However, something changed. Past few times I stopped in I found the staff to be very unfriendly and was treated rudely. Also, the items have become overpriced and entire store looks like a flea market. The last time I stopped by I was treated so rudely that I have decided to never shop there again. Management needs to understand they are not a design shop but a resale store. There are many resale shops that offer nice quality at a reasonable price with a friendly staff. For me, I choose to support local businesses who understand the importance of customer service.

Beware! If the owner is the same owner of the Pewaukee store, I would never set foot in it. The owner is Rude, deceitful, unprofessional, and just a down right mean person.She was absolutely horrible to my elderly mother and it seems to be a pattern of hers. Please check out the reviews on here Pewaukee store before you bring anything in of value to be sold by her or they might become stolen or have gone missing!
