Dont believe any of the commercials.After getting a crack in my windshield, this was an approved auto glass installer from my insurance company. However, if I called the actual service here terrible, it would be a compliment. Between the automated phone systems, the far from accurate status updates, and NOT CALLING when the car was finished.It wasnt until AFTER I called the number, which redirects to an automated call center, when there was an hour left in the work day, to check the status, as the website they gave me still said that they were installing. It wasnt until several prompts through the phone tree, that I got someone, not at the shop, to contact them and find out my car was finished.At the shop there was no response to why I was not contacted. Abysmal customer service is what I got, with no respect, nor any empathy. Im still waiting to find out why no one called, especially after clarifying the best number to reach you several times when dropping off the car.Theres plenty of other places to go within a 5-minute drive. My suggestion is go there, any one of them. You have a better chance of being treated respectfully as a human than if you come to this place.
Ive given up trying to get a decent product from Safelite. After 3 windshield replacements, I am settling for what Safelite considers an acceptable amount of distortion in a windshield. I cant fault the installers, as the jobs were all done professionally, but the glass they use is just subpar. Next time Ill just pay the extra and have it done by a dealership.
The following day after having my windshield replaced on my new Maserati Granturismo, I attempted to use the windshield wipers. The wiper arms then crossed eachother, the blades came off, the arms then became bent and scratched and are on top of each other locked in place. I now have non functioning windshield wipers and bent and scratched wiper arms. AVOID this location and safelite in general. TERRIBLE
Hard to find fault. They repaired my windshield & had me out in about 1 hour. I came prepared to stay all morning. Everyone was courteous. Highly recommend.
I had an appointment for 9:30am. When I arrived there was about 2 people waiting. The front desk was helpful. I decided to wait for my vehicle. They took under 2/hours. To me is great. The customer service was great. Ever need a windshield fix they are the place to go

Safelite does not Honor the US MILITARY,the job was well done but the technician didnt even think of a military discount or ask a manager. Totally Un acceptable.I am in the Auto business myself and have the Courtesy to give a Military discount.

Very unprofessional staff from the incompetence from the manager, Joe, who is arrogant in every possible way; he tries to be courteous but little does he know it comes off as complete utter arrogance. Unfortunately I will never come back to this place and would never recommend SAFELITE, plus their windshields are of cheap material. Farewell peeps.

I just picked up my car. I watched couple videos on youtube. They were fixed everything . When they fix windshield, it looks like brand new but my windshield still same. I just paid $190 for nothing. Too bad you can’t give negative stars. They failed to properly fix the small corner windshield chip the car was brought in for, and then decided without specific authorization and against what was desired, to “fix” a barely noticeable scratch, breaking the entire windshield. After saying “oh well” you signed a waiver, they tried to now offer to additionally charge to replace the whole windshield and with subpar aftermarket glass, while insulting the car (over 100k new) and saying it wasn’t worth the real glass… “maybe if it was a Bentley”. Had to fight tooth and nail just to not be charged for “their repair work”, which destroyed the windshield and created thousands of dollars worth of damage. Disgustingly incompetent, rude, and audacious people at this terrible company. Save yourself from a horrible experience and lost money by going elsewhere.
Had my windshield replaced at the Safelite in Hasbrouck Heights office. It was a great experience. Dropped my car off and thought it would be a couple of hours, to my surprise the car was ready in less than 40 minutes. The workmanship was excellent and dealing with the people in the office was a pleasure. Thanks for a job well done.
Satellite of Hasbrouck Heights is completely incompetent and has the absolute worst customer service; if you have a problem with their services (which I believe you inevitably will) you will get no satisfaction or professionalism here. Joe the manager is arrogant, rude and totally useless; Caesar the installer had no idea how to install a car window. They misaligned a window which caused a series of other immediate problems, all of which they denied and refused to do anything about. Horrible service with a manager who is incompetent. Additionally, I originally took a day off for home service; they couldnt get the part and never even called me, so I ended up having to take a second day off from work for the repair. They left the car and dashboard and floor full of glass, and left all the broken glass inside the doorframe and now you can hear the glass fall and rattle from inside the door. DO NOT USE SAFELITE OF HASBROUCK HEIGHTS.

Terrible experience with SafeLite in Hasbrouck Heights. And it has turned into a major horror show. I brought in my Ford Focus, which has very low mileage (like 35K) to replace the windshield. When I went to pick it up, as I was driving home, noticed that the air conditioner made a horrible noise. I turned around and immediately returned to the shop. They proceeded to lie to me about there having been a piece of paper and it was nothing. I left, and the noise returned. I returned back to the shop and they worked on the car again. This time, when I picked it up, they said they could not fix the AC and that they would pay to have it repaired. I took the car to the FORD Dealership in Mahwah, and they discovered that in addition to the AC being impacted, that SafeLite had damaged something called the COWL - and that they had bolted it in using wood screws in a crazy position leaving a huge gap between the windshield and the car hood. - plus they had damaged the molding around the windshield. At this point, it has become a major nightmare - a simple windshield repair taking now weeks and $1Ks to fix the damage SafeLite caused.

I dropped my car off right before 9:30 AM. I was instructed to drop my car off by 9:30 AM in order to have it ready later in the day. I noticed how many cars were already there so it was baffling to see every single staff acting like they were all on break at the same time. I tried not to think anything of it but was getting worried about what was going on with my car when hours had passed and I was supposed to receive text updates from the technician. I finally got the text notification that they had JUST started the repair at 3:15 PM. I didn’t get notified that my car was finished until 4:40 PM. The voicemail that was left was not particularly pleasant and it was urging me to hurry up if I wanted to pick my car up because they were only open until 5 PM. (I have the screenshots of my texts and my call log with timestamps to back this up too). Keep in mind I am already 20 minutes away from the place and since I don’t have my car I would have to order a rideshare service which could 10 to 15 minutes for pick up alone, not even factoring in travel time. Because of the incompetence of this place and their workers I had to call out of work the following day in order to go and pick up my car. Long story short don’t go here unless you want to be frustrated and inconvenienced. I should have known what kind of service I would receive based on how everyone was standing around not working when I dropped the car off. I will definitely go anywhere else but here if I ever need this type of work done again.
Had work here done about 3 years ago. Windshield seal on drivers side started coming up a few months later. Not all the way, just loose. 3 years later the window started rattling. They never sealed this right. Got to get this redone, but will not use safelite. Will use another.
Horrible customer service. My wifes 2021 Volvo XC90s windshield cracked this past Spring. We have Geico who connected with Safelite of H. Heights and told me that they ordered the windshield and that as soon as it comes in Safelite will call me. That was over 3 months ago. Every time I call Geico they tell me I need to called Safelite of H. Heights. Every time I call Safelite im placed on a minimum 30 minute hold then get hung up on or transferred to another hold. I have tried countless times to try to find out what is the problem with the order and can not get a call back or an answer. Its embarrassing that a business would operate this way.

UPDATE: Yesterday, I had a technician come out to check out my windshield due to a warranty problem. The problem was that through several rainstorms, water would leak inside. It wasn’t until recently that I was able to pinpoint it was coming from the windshield.He came right on time, was very respectful, and told me everything he was going to do to address it and that he may have to replace the entire windshield.Not long after, he finished replacing the windshield and the first thing he says to me is “I knew it was leaking and I can show you how I know.” Fantastic! He showed me how the windshield was missing adhesive. Of course no charge on this.I’ve bumped my original rating up to a 4 / 5 because it was still a hassle for my first replacement, but this guy showed that there are great employees here.Original: If you have a special model vehicle with a special windshield, be it glass type or design related, make sure you ask for OEM. They tell you they match it to the VIN, but they will not tell you that you need to specifically ask for the OEM windshield. They give you an aftermarket windshield. That was my biggest letdown, here.The person replacing it was a 6/10. They all are about the same. Knew what he was doing so well that when he snapped a plastic fastener, he didnt bother to tell me about it...thats my own fault. I should have checked under the hood just before he drove off.The windshield is replaced and the mechanics of the car are fine. Minus me not having the windshield I was expecting and still going over deductible price, the worker not telling me about what the broke and what they couldnt line up, I have a car that has a new windshield.

I have been to this location twice for different cars with window damage. Both times I never had a problem with the job that was performed and the people explaining the repair told me exactly what to expect. The wait times were reasonable as well. I just had a crack repaired and my insurance covered the entire cost, making the whole process painless.
I had a crack in my windshield in my 2016 Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Limited, since the vehicle has collision sensors & windshield cameras, etc.... the service went flawless at Safelite even though I thought its very complex. It took about 1.5 hour from start to finish to replace my windshield and recalibrate the emergency brake system in the windshield to work again correctly. This center knows there stuff, OEM parts from Hyundai and I cannot tell any difference since I got the car brand new at the dealership. This is a direct replacement with fantastic service offered ! Also includes lifetime warranty ! The Hasbrouck Heights center in NJ is clean & professional, staff is very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. This is a ten star 100% above & beyond service center. Thank YouChristopher did a fantastic job replacing the windshield in my 2016 Limited Tucson, answered all my questions as well. Super ! Changed my brand new toyota Camry wind shield here. I hear an irritating crackling noise from the window since then.I took my car to them regarding the problem and I was literally told that there is nothing they can do about it !NEVER change your brand new car windshield for cracks.If you need to new glass NEVER go here.
My insurance recommended safelite after a rock hit my windshield. Julio came to my house to install a new windshield. He called ahead to say when he would be arriving and he was on time. The new windshield took about 30 minutes to install. Julio explained everything very well and was very professional. It was very cold out too and he had a great attitude still. I will use them again when needed and recommend them!
I gave this place five stars do to having a great experience at this location . When I arrived I was help immediately by a pleasant lady behind the front desk . I needed my front windshield replaced for my 2015 Toyota prius. I decided to wait in the waiting room while they worked on my car. Juan installed my windshield and gave me and invoice . He was very professional and replaced my windshield in a timely manner. It was a great service experience and I would definitely recommend them .

First i schedule an appointment for mobile truck, after few days they call me back saying the truck will come but i will have to come for camera adjustment next week, so I rescheduled to come in next week to just get everything done in one shot, i come in they tell me that my window is not instock so i have to reschedule again, then i come in Week after And they tell me i have to wait all day for the car when i told them i cant do to my job when I scheduled it but they still set me up for allday drop off, so I rescheduled it again a week after finally they take me told me 1:30-2hr im sitting in the waiting area all day past 3 hrs. Im not happy i used them twice in 6 months both times trouble will never use them again!
This was my first time using Safelite. My windshield had some small scuffs. I thought it needed a repair but the technician, was honest and professional and told me it did was just cosmetic and did not require repair. They refunded my $. Kiara at the front desk was also helpful and provided assistance. I would absolutely recommend this business, and this location specifically.
I went there as it was suggested by my insurance company. I had an appointment and they replaced my windshield in an hour. One of the staff explained what they did, which is pretty straightforward but I felt valued and it is a professional way of doing it. It might be a bit expensive than the other places (I did not check any other places) but I am happy that I went there.
The service was easy and fast but they made some scratches on both sides of my car, its not making any sense to repair the glass but get scratches in the paint

I still greatly appreciate their not charging me for checking it out, but Im disappointed that the problem wasnt fixed and I have to start over.The location at Hasbrouck Heights was amazing. My passenger side window had stopped being able to roll up, so I brought my car in for what I thought would be a motor replacement or at least some sort of belt... They diagnosed the problem, which was basically just some loose nuts and bolts, tightened everything back up, got it working again, and said there was no charge. 😮 I am beyond appreciative of their kind service and will definitely recommend them to others. (And of course, Ill be back if and when I need their services again!)

Do yourself a favor and go to a local repairshop.These guys dont care whether or not they do a horrible job at repairing - put the resin and get the car out. I expected them to be professionals and use other trick in the book but they did even worse job than the repair kit I can buy from Amazon for $10. The edges of the crack is still alive(and grew), they dont bother to create mini bullseye at the edge to round it out which is what a real professional would do but that takes time and effort which they clearly do not have time for.What this reply means - I can put 0 effort, just get it out the door and just copy/paste blaming the glass if the customer complains. My complaint isnt that the glass wasnt fixed perfect, my complaint is they show 0 effort to make it the best as it can be. And best thing is I cant take it to another better glass shop since the resin is already blocking the impact point.
This place is a joke. The staff is rude and condescending. Way overpriced. I had a crack the size of a quarter when I showed up and left with a crack the size of a foot long sub! Trust all the negative reviews and dont spend your money here.
Professional staff and great customer service. Unfortunately, they had to replace my windshield twice because the first one had some minor defects. I had to come back after a week. Nonetheless, they did a great job installing the windshield and only took about 1.5 hours. I definitely recommend this branch if you need your windshield replaced.
If you have progressive insurance and you are recommended to take your vehicle to safelight for replacement and recalibrating of driver assistance cameras go else where. Ive been told so many different stories at this point from managers, techs, and insurance representative I dont know what the truth is anymore. I would have been happier with a cracked windshield and functioning driver assistance features...

Despite the reviews, I took my car to this location.Anthony worked on my car - not only he replaced the windshield but also reinstalled the dash cam mount back on the glass (something I would have procrastinated) along with my EZ pass mounting strips.The shop re-calibrated Subarus EyeSight cameras as well.I was in and out in no time. I highly recommend this location.

Quick service & quality work on my windshield chip repair. FYI, chip repair only stops crack progression. It wont restore your windshield to pre-rock condition. (the dude at the desk will make this abundantly clear.)
They say 90 minutes but when you call in the say 2 hours. I waited 3 hours and was late for work. Quoted 3 different numbers by 3 different employees. Then when you go to pay they try to get you for taxes and fees $60 HIGHER PRICE then everyone around AFTER DISCOUNT. You pay for lifetime warranty. Get your $50 off for 1st time customer!!

Corporate or Franchise auto glass location. Hard to get the correct info when I tried to get a window replaced on a 2 year old car. Price was subject to discounts given to insurance and corporate accounts. The general public pays more money. Had make three trips for the one repair. On the second trip the Non OEM glass did not have the correct antenna connection. This location had to call corporate office to order the original OEM glass from the dealer. Lots of time went by. The manager had a tech put an emergency protective plastic on the glass. On the third attempt they got it right. Installation went well. They even vacuumed the entire car. No follow up from either the location or the corporate office.
Overpriced and few time slots available to deal with emergencies. Thanks to their inability to deal with emergencies, I discovered other options as a consumer .

Went in for a quote and I ran out. The prices are just a little to much. You have to go through your insurance company too. SMH 😔 to much for just a very small crack the size of a nickel 😕. Ill post a picture of my windshield. Im sorry $200 & up for a small crack 😕😦😨😱😡. I mean I know that they have to make money but thats crazy. Everyone is not made out of money. I have an auto claim due to an accident and LM transferred to them to make and appointment. Knowing it is an accident claim and all payments should be handled by the insurance, they charged me directly. With the story that I had to pay them my deductible. I should have known something was fishy, when one of the 2 techs that came to do the job left right after completing the installation. Then they tried to charge the CC over 3 times the amount. I reported them to the insurance company and I am definitely calling their corporate office, even though I doubt they will do anything. I am wondering to how many people they have done this to. If I wouldnt have reported that, I would have had to pay for my deductible twice. This company and their employees are basically stealing from people, after they go through an accident and are trying to get things back to normal. I wish I had rejected the service, when I had the chance. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

Terrible customer service. I have gone there twice so far and every time they got the wrong windshield. They called me and assured me that they have the correct one. The waiting area is super cold, you would think with all the money they make they can afford to put a little heater in there for the customer comfort. And their coffee machine doesnt work. Basically, zero customer care.

This place is the worst. 3 appointment 2 mobile and 1 in shop job is still not complete. Now I have to make another trip to the dealer to get my camera recalibrated because this facility just found out they cant recalibrate cameras for Genesis vehicles. I guess no one could have found that out in the 3 weeks I have been dealing with this issue. Week one they brought out a damaged piece of glass, I guess checking it before you left the shop would have been too hard. Week two installed a damaged piece of glass come to find out it was that same piece they brought the week before, this time they noticed after the install was done. Week 3 took my car in and dropped it off, figured they could do the complete job and save me the trip to the dealer. Would have been nice to know ahead of time they couldnt complete the job. Only reason I am using them is because of my insurance company.Update: 11/8/19It just gets better, now my rearview mirror fell off the car. Must be the expert workmanship or top of the line materials they use. Again worst experience this place is a joke.

Two windshields and over $150 out of pocket and I still have a non functioning driver assistance camera that was a $3k extra package I specifically built my vehicle out with. The amount of he said she said between my insurance company, dealership, and Safelight is simply unacceptable. If I had known I would have been put through this inconvenience I would have just kept a cracked windshield on my brand new vehicle...
Im not sure about all these bad reviews I see on here because my experience was fine! I was late for my appointment by 15 minutes. I didnt know if I would be told to reschedule and they would have had every right to do so. Instead I was met with a nice smile and told its no problem. He explained how a heavy machine would go on my windshield and may make the crack bigger its a chance of it......everything was explained fine. Quick and friendly service, waited in the waiting area. I signed an obvious waiver and told how much my warranty would be charged for this repair...$80All good to me!!!

Once I got there they checked the VIN number and realized they need a special ordered piece.Now it’s going to be different pricing and I have to bring my car back.You couldn’t ask me for my VIN number before I came in?Have you guys ever even changed a windshield haha? I went in on 1/18 to the Hasbrouck Heights location about my cracked windshield. I asked first if it was covered under warranty, the guy confirmed it wasn’t...okay, fair. He told me that they had to get special approval for an OEM and that he would would personally see to it, and the latest I should hear from someone is Tuesday, 1/21. I gave it until Friday, 1/24 since I realized that Monday was a holiday...nothing! I didn’t hear a word, so I followed up with safelite and explained I hadn’t heard from anyone. I finally got a call on 1/27 from safelite that the claim was denied by my insurance. I called my insurance, and they reversed their decision and approved the piece. Called safelite, they claimed not to have received anything. So I called my insurance and the lady stood on the phone with me while she resent the approval. I asked if there was anything further I needed to do. It is now 2/5 and I have YET to hear from safelite. It’s like they aren’t even trying to work with me!! How many follow-ups does it take to get scheduled for a windshield repair? Ridiculous. Mind you, the first time I went on 1/18, the guy seemed like they didn’t want to do the window replacement then. I was all for it. What do you need from me - let me call my insurance now. And it was excuse, after excuse, after excuse. I am beyond annoyed. My windshield is in bad shape and the crack spread all the way across. Thanks a lot for the help...

Very unprofessional service!!! I had an appointment scheduled on a Saturday for a replacement between the hours of 12-5pm. My technician called me and told me he would be there between the hours of 2-4pm. I’m sitting at home all day waiting, and my technician NEVER SHOWS UP. I received no phone call or text or any communication as to why and by the time I called the shop they were closed. I had to wait till Monday morning, so I called that morning and spoke to the “manager” and he said he called me and left me a voicemail which he never did. He stated he was calling me to tell me the windshield didn’t come in. Mind you I was sitting home by my phone all day waiting for the call from my technician. I never received any communication from anyone and I’m just over this place. They need to have common courtesy to call you when things happen. Just extremely unprofessional
The cold weather in late January caused my windshield to crack. Safelite was able to come over right away (as soon as weather warmed) & replaced the windshield quickly. The best part was it occurred at my work place, while I worked, so a minimum of inconvenience to me. It was done well. I also appreciated how the tech stayed in touch with me, called when he was nearby & when he was done, again minimizing the inconvenience to me.

This is the 2nd time weve used Safelite in the past 2-3 years (different vehicles of course!) We were so happy with the updates and texts we received prior to the technician arriving and the professional quality of the work that was done. Its so refreshing for a company to do what they say, when they say and for the price they quoted ~ thanks Safelite!

I had a bad experience with this shop and it took FOUR? visits to get the right windshield installed. First it two days for thier customer service to verify my insurance and get back to me. Then we scheduled a home installation. The tech arrived, only to find out they had the wrong windshield. I had taken the day off from work, so wasted day. The tech inspected the windshield and said they would get the right one (no front facing camera). We rescheduled, but the next time is was raining, so the home installation was cancelled. But I drove over to the shop instead to have it done. Upon arrival at the shop it was found that they again had ordered the wrong windshield (this one did not have the heating element). They said they could install anyways...but its not the right one!. So another wasted day off, and additional loss in income for me. I rescheduled for the third time, but was unwilling to lose more wages, so had to schedule for Saturday. So here now...hoping.GUESS what... WRONG ONE AGAIN, you cant make this up!!!!!So now they have to try again? And I have to wait and take more time out of my schedule...simply Bull Sh#$I am very disappointed with thier customer service, ability to get it right several times, and total lack of caring.I spoke to manager at shop on attempt two, and explained how unhappy I was and I expected them to cover the costs due to the multiple inconveniences, and my loss in wages. They refused. As this is the company my insurance pushes people to didnt have much choice.I told them I am not paying...they will see what they can do. I have lost a hell of a lot more money then the windshield cost both in wages and simply my time.Will follow up with complaint letter to both my insurance company and Safelite corporate directly.I would suggest skipping this company at all costs, find another. I am calling my insurance company to try and force them to allow me to go elsewhere.
These guys are just awful. They gave me such an hard time to get the job done. When they finally did the job they left scratches all over my brand new vehicle. These guys are very lazy. Avoid them if you can. Awful awful. I will be calling them tomorrow.
I had an appointment scheduled for 10/6 12-5. I waited around all day and the technician never showed up and never called to let me know there was an issue with my appointment. I waited until 5 to call the number because I didnt want to be told it wasnt 5pm yet, and the office waa closed (if i knew they closed at 5, I would have called sooner. I prepaid for the service. This is completely unprofessional.
Couldnt get any easier, 1) Made an appointment online to replace my windshield. 2) Dropped my car off. 3) Received a phone call telling me my car was ready. 4) Picked up my car. Installation looks good, no noticeable issues.
