This is a fantastic place to buy all your small DIY projects. This like a candy store for the average guy and gals that enjoy the tool shop. You can find almost anything you need to work on your house and your vehicles as far as tools are concern. One caveat is, it’s not always top of the line tools. But for a lot of around the house projects it’s all you need to get the job done. For professional use I would have to stay out of that because I only use the tools I’ve bought for the house and personal use. I’ve bought sanders and polishing tools, so far so good. As for the cordless drills and tools I’ve not invested in any yet. Although they look well made. Air compressors, soldering tools, all types of sockets and wrenches you name it. I’ve bought the solar lights for around the deck and so far they are holding up. My manual sprayers for disinfecting are also holding up so far.

Think this may the first 1 star I give. The cashier lady was rude as soon as I walked in. Not sure what the bad energy was but I certainly felt it through out this experience. It was the first time I was turned down a return even when I had valid receipt within time window. The items were just oil filter piers that didnt fit my pwc unit. They were back in original packaging. The lady had the manager came and Robert was just as rude if not worse, said the tools were dirty! I will try to attach pictures of the items. Never had such an experience in any other business. Wonder do they treat all customers with returns this way or was it something about me, my color?

Hi, we wanted to buy 2 lift jacks for our company, and the guy who treated us said he had no more, they had one on the display and we wanted to buy that one and this guy was rude and said he didnt sell it, I would like to know if they Store owners approve of this? Forced us to return a generator that we didnt want to return at all so they can collect the restoration fee! Felt like being robbed here. Worst customer service ever!We bought a $800 predator generator from a different Harbor Freight store on Aug 9th for the power outage caused by Hurricane Isaias. But on the day we carried this generator home, the power was restored. So we were thinking about either return it or sell it, which ever would even out our cost. As we unboxed this generator already (but never took it out of the box), we went to this store in Hasbrouck Heights, asking the cashier if we still can return it and how much could we get back. Our plan was if we were not able to return it at full price, wed just sell it on Craigslist or Letgo. The cashier told us that there was a 20% restoration fee, which would be $160 in our case. So I told him that was too much, we would not return it then. NOTE that at that moment the generator was STILL IN MY CAR, not even in the store! Because we went into the store just to ASK ABOUT THE RETURN OPTION, NOT TO READILY RETURN IT! But the cashier who seemed to be a new hire told us that he had already put the return request into the system, which meant that wed have to return it now. I told him that this was not acceptable cuz I didnt mean/want to return it at all! Then he asked another staff who looked like his mentor or supervisor or something, for instruction. This lady gave us the worst attitude ever and said that if we dont want to return it anymore we should simply pay them $800 to buy this generator again because the return was already in their system! She told us that if we didnt want to pay $800 we had no choice but to go to our car and bring the generator to them. I was getting angry but I was still being polite and said again that we did not want to return it. And she just started to rudely educate us that the moment we asked about the return, it was already a contract. She even said that we can call somebody to sue her. The young cashier started to look helpless and the lady then just ignored us!In the end we returned the generator and lost $160 because we didnt want to see the young cashier losing his job. But this store really need to train their employees better! And I dont believe theres no way to withdraw a return request (which I didnt ask for!) from your SYSTEM!It took me over two weeks to calm down and be able to write this review. I still felt angry and disgusting when thinking about the supervisor lady. AND I WANT MY GENERATOR BACK!!!

Its a great place to buy all kinds of tools

Good inventory, fair prices and a ton of small gadgets for projects. They tend to have most items in stocks and the employees are helpful and friendly. Try not to go with the cheapest tool since they dont tend to last very long, they have a mod tier brand that performs well and lass long.Their warranty works great and employees dont give to many issues when issuing a credit for it.Even while I prefer other top power tools brands I cant say Ive been disappointed about the ones I get here.

I do love this place . but again I bought something this time a compressor and it started leaking air less then a week after I got it .I have to break it down put all the parts back in the box and return another item . Its not the end of the world but its a hassle.

Excellent alternative to the bigger box competitors Like Home Depot, Lowes, etc Many similar items for substantially less. However, the tools, supplies, materials are less quality, but the difference is price more than makes up for the price. You can buy multiple tools for less than a similar one at the big box competitors. At the end of the day, they sell products that are worth it when the price is considered. My two cents!

Great place to get almost anything, before walking into the store go online onto their website and look up what you want. Make sure its available at the store and screenshot it so you can show a worker and they can find it for you faster.

Great service, easy to find items, good, (used to be great prices) and convenient locations. The tools thus far (over the years) have been of decent quality, maybe I had one return since Ive been going there. That said, I use my tools daily. On the con side; Coupons dont work on newer tools and you still only get one free bee per visit. Additionally, maybe its me but the sale items seem to be the same price every time theres a sale

I bought a battery jumpstarter/charger for 30 bucks, when i finally opened it to use it, it didnt turn on. plugged it in and completely no power, no lights went on, nothing. i went to return it and since i was a few days past the 90 day return period they wouldnt let me return it even though the thing was unused and defective. so i left it with them anyway cause it was useless. this place is terrible they sell defective equipment and dont stand by their stuff

The store is clean, organized, well stocked, nicely lit and signs clearly marked for items. Store employees were friendly and knowledgeable, knowing the location of the items I was looking for.Remember to bring store coupons for items as they wont apply the discount without them.Nice to see the store is able to be open on Sundays in Bergen County.

It so hard to make a basic exchange.they dont even let you speak.this is the second time to having a hard time to shopping and also they dont know if they have item.if you ask them they said we dont have it than i found it my self.I made a another visit 5 days later and there was a different manager help me and fix it my problem.

Cheap tools from CHINA. I know most things are from China these days but Habor Freight deals directly with third party sellers of manufacturing. There stuff doesnt last. Not sure what there return policy is but if its anything like there checkout section Im sure its not good. You have to be armed with a mountain of coupons on just the right day or you over pay.

Habor freight i used to shop there a few years ago and swore off buying any kind of tools from them.... until recently.. i needed a tool in an emergency..... to find out the quality has gotten better... the socket sets a and hand wrenches are decent....One word of CAUTION ... If you are buying anything in a box... go open the box at the counter to check if everything is there..I had to comeback because a winch i bought was missing pieces and the box was sealed

I needed an blacktop tapper. I went to saddle Brook Harbor Freight. Someone helped me right away. They checked their stock in the back. Then they checked the route 17 store. There were 6 left. Drove to the store there were none on display. Looked for someone to help me, was going to ask if they could check thestock in the back. There was no one. OJust one cashier with a huge line I spent 20 min looking for a person not one on the floor. I went to Home Depot, I was helped right away . I was in and out it 10 minutes. Scew Harbor Freight. I will pay more better service and better material at Home Depot.

THE HABOR FREIGHT TOOLS STORE HAS A VARIETY OF AUTO, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL TOOLS. IN MY OPINION THE PRICES ARE GREAT. ALSO, THE PITTSBURGH TOOLS HAVE AN LIFETIME WARRANTY. SO THAT IN ANY CASE THAT YOUR TOOL BECOMES DEFECTIVE OR IT BREAKS, YOU CAN TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE AND GET IT REPLACED FOR A NEW TOOL AT NO CHARGE.

My experience and disgusted!!!!Beyond flim flam..3rd time last time. .prices for items on sale no way come up on register. Woman Rep nasty and make u get off line to either go online on phone or look for ad in paper. No help and could care less !!! Never plan to go to that location and another patron same problem with paying his bill then few min later back to get refund or credit on item that pd full price.. THIS SEEMS like deceptive practice based on my visits amounting to always games with getting charged full price on sale items and staff appears no clue routine. Dont buy it after 3rd go round and others with same price game
