Just purchased an Olympus Pen. after a couple of weeks the shutter went out. I had a week until I left on a trip to Guatemala and had purchased this camera to avoid taking my DSLR. I must say that the people at Olympus got my camera back to me within 3 days! It was good as new. Great Job guys!!
I sent my FE-340 for repair several months ago because bright images were streaked with colors. It was 4 years old and moderately used. After several weeks I inquired about status and was informed of repair cost, which equaled cost of the same camera used. I requested return without repair. Upon return I found the camera totally inoperable - no picture at all. I wrote back, expressing disappointment in the return condition. Several weeks have passed with no further response so I am left with a white elephant. I judge that Olympus is not interested in customer satisfaction.
The plastic flap that locks in my battery and the flap that locks the door to the battery both broke. Took my EP3 in for a repair thinking that they may charge me an arm and a leg for 2 small pieces of plastic, but turned out I was still in warranty period. Excellent customer service!! Got my EP3 back in the mail (via UPS) about a week later. Makes me want to buy another Olympus after I retire my EP3.
