We have used Slattery Moving a few times now and every time they have been so professional and responsive! Recently they moved us out of our rental house and then put our stuff into storage until our house was ready to close and move in. They were so accommodating as we closed/moved on short notice and they squeezed us into their busy schedule. I like how they charge you per piece (not a flat rate minimum) because we did not have too much stuff. Other companies had a minimum which was a large price. I must also praise how easy their online system is to get a quote and update the moving list. Highly recommend!

I used the company after someone had highly recommended Slattery Moving from their own experience. Communication with the office was superb, items in Florida arrived within a week... and the biggest surprise was still yet to come... The crew that were to unload a truck in Florida were so nice and caring that they made my Mom cry because I asked to leave all the heavy boxes with books, etc in the garage to make it easier for the movers... well, their reply was that that would be too easy for them and they proceeded to put boxes where they belong as intended, obviously adding so much work for themselves! Everyone we dealt with at Slattery’s was a pleasure to work with. They were so understanding and offered advice when we moved our move two times because of closing date changes. The movers the day of the move were nice, professional, clean, packed and wrapped all of our belongings up to keep them in great condition. I used Slattery Moving to move me out of my 2 bedroom apartment in NJ to our first home on Long Island. After getting several quotes, theres was the most attractive overall. The crew was on time and extremely fast! In the blink of an eye, all of my furniture was wrapped in padded moving blankets and plastic wrap. These guys are truly professional taking care of my belongings as if it were their own. Once we arrived at the house, the crew was very respectful of the house, covering the floors, padding corners, removing doors and handles. Ive used Slattery 3 times and all times theyve been great. On time for the most part and work VERY quickly. They moved me most recently to Manhattan and i was dreading it but they made the process super smooth and I knew my belongings were in good hands. They know what theyre doing and wrap everything in protective layers. They worked with us to try to get a date where another person was moving to the same area to help lower the cost but unfortunately no one was, even so we were able to negotiate pricing a bit. We just moved in February from New City, NY to Owings Mills, Md. It was somewhat complicated, since we moved from a fully furnished 4 bedroom colonial to a one bedroom apartment in my daughters home. Most of our 150 boxes, and most of our furniture went to a storage facility. The movers had to mark and separate what went storage, and what goes to the apartment. No easy task. And of course a few things did not fit in the apartment and had to go back to the truck and on to storage. As a retired real estate broker, I had advised clients to use this company for over 20 years and never had anyone complain, so I used them myself. They showed up 15 minutes early at my home, and packed the entire house and contents in one day. Nothing broke. They said theyd arrive in Maryland at 9 AM the next day . We arrived at 9 and they were waiting for us They later went on to fill our storage unit and collect their fee, which was exactly what they estimated. I could not have had a better move unless it was free.

They do excellent work but when it comes to driving a truck in reverse there shouldnt be 5 people in a cab. One of them should be backing him up. Something to look at in the future of training. Can save you a lot of money god forbid of a careless mistake.

The moving truck arrived on-time with 4 guys. They worked quickly and carefully dissembled the furniture and loaded all the boxes. Upon arrival to the new house, they got right to work and unloaded everything. They placed my rugs and put the furniture back together. All of my stuff made it safely and nothing was broken or damaged. This was my second move with them and I would absolutely use and recommend Slattery again. I moved from a 4BR house to a small townhouse. Despite weeks of preparation, I was hardly ready when the crew of five guys arrived at 8:30 on move day. The crew clearly was used to such a scenario and efficiently helped me finish up packing while loading the truck. The crew hustled despite the heat and maintained great spirit throughout. Everything was moved care and without damage. On the delivery end, they were very good about getting things where I wanted them. I am a happy customer!

I could have not asked for a better experience with Slattery’s Movers. They were clean, professional, and took great care with my possessions. The 11 room move out took two hours and 15 minutes, they held my things overnight, the move in took about 3 hours. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

It was such a great experience in such a high-stress situation and the guys really knew what they were doing. They wrapped all of our furniture up carefully and expertly and carried even the biggest pieces through the smallest of corridors without a single scratch or nick. Not only did they take apart and put together all of the pieces, they had no problem giving expert advice on what would be the best orientation for some pieces. The guys could have just put it down somewhere and left but instead they went above and beyond. They were very punctual and got the job done in the exact time they had said it would take. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be recommending them to friends and family.

Never thought I would be raving about a moving company. The 6 man team that showed up at my door made a very overwhelming day, not so overwhelming. They just walked right in and knew exactly what to do. They professionally, carefully and thoroughly scooped up my 20 years of life in one home and neatly organized it all in my new home. They did this all with ease and a smile. Now if they only would have stayed a week and unpacked LOL!

One of my cartons has been missing for over two weeks. next to impossible to get in touch with them. chris is way over his head in this job. a real mickey mouse operation. Now it’s almost 7 months that our carton has been missing. Slattery wiped their hands of us within weeks of losing the carton. Impossible to deal with. Steer clean of them!!!!
