I needed to purchase a new 12000 lb excavator and needed it by September 1st since all the rental companies didnt have any available for 1 month rentals again. Kubota, John Deere and Hitachi could not get a new one from their factories with 6 weeks notice but Western States made it happen. Thanks again

These folks are awesome! Theyve maintained the chassis on my diesel pusher class A for the last 9 years. Theyve never missed anything it needed, have never done work it didnt need, and have always taken less time than they estimated & charged less than I was willing to pay for the work that they did. Despite my minor frustrations with their computer systems that are oriented more toward commercial clients than to private individuals, their staff has more than compensated with their service-oriented attitudes.

This is the best shop ever, fair, honest, and fast. Tim at the service counter is great to work with. Mark and Matt, the night time mechanics are awesome and know what they are doing. If your equipment has troubles bring it here, it will get fixed right! Thanks CAT!!

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!!!! I just got the most ridiculous hourly charges from this place! My companys truck ran out of fuel and got a little air in the line. We needed a new fuel filter to fix it. We were just off the intersection of Interstate 90 and Hwy 97, about 20 miles from the location of this shop. Even if they were only driving 45 mph, it would have taken under 1/2 hour to get there. However, we got charged for 45 minutes each way. The job took about 15-20 minutes, which was fairly rounded up to 1/2 hour. But, heres the kicker: we got charged an ADDITIONAL 30 minutes for THE TIME IT TOOK TO FIND THE PART AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS NEEDED. I have never heard of something so ridiculous! Especially when the hourly rate is as high as $140. If I were charged fairly, it would have been 1 hour for the round trip and 1/2 hour for the job: $210 plus the cost of the fuel filter. Instead, I was charged $350 plus the cost of the fuel filter.I own a moving company, and would never even think about charging my customers extra time for our preparation of their move. Thats like going to Home Depot and having to pay an extra hourly charge for the time it takes an associate to get the items you need from the top shelf. Or going to a furniture store and having to pay an hourly fee for the time it takes the warehouse manager to find your merchandise. RIDICULOUS!!!!

If we could give Western States 10 stars, we would. We had taken our diesel pusher motor home to two other shops in Coeur dAlene and Spokane in hopes of diagnosing a LOUD rumbling noise in the back end. One of the shops quoted $9600 to take apart the rear end in hopes of identifying the problem. This particular shop also surprised us with a noise in our Cat engine that may warrant a $15,000 replacement. So, we took the coach into Western States, hoping that they might do work on an RV. Within a day of troubleshooting the noise, they were pretty sure the cause was identified and easy to fix. I was skeptical. In less than 3 hours, they had fixed the problem with the rear end, and they troubleshooted the engine and said nothing was wrong with it. Total cost was under $600. Needless to say, these technicians know their stuff. My skepticism was wiped away once I took it for a test drive. The noise that had annoyed us for 18 months was completely gone! We will certainly take any issues with our RV to Western States in Hayden! Thank you to Craig and Rick (I think that was the techs name). We can now enjoy our motor home in quiet peace!
