They were alright. They changed the oil fast and gave good customer service.
This location does good work consistently and has a great inspection. The issue is how long they take, even a basic oil change requires you to leave your car for 6-8 hours. I once asked them to change a headlight for me, and they said it would take 4 hours. Jiffylube completed the work for me in 30 seconds. I don’t understand their logic for requiring appointments hours ahead of time when they don’t actually get to my vehicle for hours. But, hey, they do good work… eventually.
Brought my car here paid over 2k for a job. They broke my window. I tried to call to have something done about it they told me they would call me back and never did. What honestly made me the most unhappy about it was that when they did it they tried to pass it off as having been like that already.. plus they tried to charge me more money for the same work that was already listed on my paperwork. So... sorry I tried to give them a chance to make it right but they made it worse
I absolutely love this location, I have been a Firestone member for years and they have serviced 3 of my vehicles.. their work is good and they explain in great detail.. Lela is awesome and went above and beyond working with me and finding what I needed thank you Firestone for doing a great job..
I initially called Firestone to see if they could help me with my car’s tire pressure. They informed me that they offer inspections free of charge, so I went right ahead and drove to the location. They were polite and assisted me right away. An experienced crew member checked the air in all four of my tires and pumped them to the recommended pressure levels. They even replaced one of the twist caps to one of my tires free of charge because it was broken. I was very pleased with the friendly service that I received here.However, I would like to point out that some of the crew members within the garage did not have face masks on. I don’t know the reason behind this. My best guess is it may be hard to breathe and work efficiently with them on, but it is something I noticed. For the health conscientious, this may be a deterrence to electing for their services, but I digress.Overall, I recommend their business to anyone who needs to stop by to do some small maintenance. I don’t have experience with any of their other services, so I can’t vouch for those. As for tire pressure checks, it is a safe place to go.
Unhappy about my most recent interaction with the Hayward Firestone technician. I was told I am having to pay approx $200 just to see what the problem is with my AC even tho I had it serviced back in 2019. Im tired of them nickel & diming me. This is my last visit to this Firestone. The guy literally argued with me for 5 minutes. Very dissatisfied customer.

Visited Firestone to get a flat tire fixed. Be forewarned, they will try to sell you a new tire every time instead of trying to fix it. Went down the street to Crown and tire was fixed without question or comment.
Called at noon said id be there at 3-4 for a oil change and a tire patch since i ran over a nail. Came in asked if i had a appointment but on the phone they said just to walk in .. said it would be done at 6 .. 2 hours for a tire patch and oil change.i came back at 6 the car was parked thought it was done they just moved it didnt work on it at all then said it would be 2 more hours. So 4 hours to do a oil change and tire patch. This was so unprofessional and inconvenient waste of time dont come here they dont care about your time.

Manager Mike was so helpful and thorough on estimated costs and estimated time. COVID rules were enforced which made me feel safe. I would recommend. Service was completed timely and the cost excellent.

I went to get a free brake inspection. Also an oil change. I was more worried about my brakes because it was making a weird noise. As I was checking out, I asked the guy if my brakes were fine and all he said was a plain yes but I wanted more than a yes. I wanted an explanation, like yes this and this was good. I was there of course because I dont understand cars obviously thats why I went to a place like this. It was my first time there but I just wasnt satisfied with their customer service.

Not able to resolve wrench warning and communicated me that it is has been resolved, when I ask them it is still showing they said that I have to go dealership to resolve it! Totally unacceptable, firestone is large mechanical shop and they are equiped to take care any issue or warning related to US based model. My car is not imported. Very poor and irresponsible.
They did an oil change on my car. Now it is leaking oil heavilyI took it bad and they looked at it, then said they didnt do it. Now I need to take it to another auto repair company.

I booked an appointment for an oil change, showed up 15 min earlier to check in, lady at the front desk said they were late and told me oil change was going to take longer than my original appointment slot and said “yours is not the only vehicle we are servicing” . I may not be the only vehicle, but there are plenty of other places shilling to take my business and respect the scheduled appointments.I took my car keys and went down the street to get an oils change for a $20 cheaper rate that the one offered at this location.

I used to go to the Oakland shop, but they never answer their phone anymore. Plus they dont have a parking lot. Hayward was great. Easy to get to. Lots of easy parking. Done on time. And they answered the phone! The only drawback is having to drive on 880. I hate 880.
Had appointment at 2:00 p.m.For a alignment only and it took them an hour just to get to the vehicle and then another hour to do the alignment within 30 minutes for paperwork to be filled out when car is done
Went here for Air pressure checked for my tires because the light is on after I plum the air by my self for few time. I was expecting just a tire fixed. But they told me to change my two Front tires. And they said it should fix the issue. I trusted them because they are professional. So I said yes. After 2 hours wait I get my car back. Every thing looks good. But one day later the light go on again. I went back and ask for help. They make me wait an other hour.
It takes them 4 hours to do an alignment and they did it wrong. I had to inform the tech that you do an alignment AFTER you put on the new tires, NOT before and NEVER with the spare on. They also did not torque my lugnuts to spec and were unable to produce my old oil filter they had allegedly changed. I had to drive to the hardware store and buy tools to finish the job because their techs didnt have the tools to finish the job. If you value your safety, you should avoid this place. Ill also be contacting the companies whose fleet vehicles they work on to warn them.
I came to get new tires for my SUV. Bought them also paid for Life Time Alignment (Bad move). 10 months later I could tell that I had something like a nail in my tire. Although the tire was holding air I could tell that eventually it would blow out. Brought my SUV in to have the shop look at the tire. I dropped the SUV right when the shopped open. (Get appointment or you car wont ever be looked at until the end of the day). They could not repair tire so I had to buy a new one. (The damage was too close to the sidewall, yeah ok). The thing that really got me, is that the shop in my point of view. Touts their expertise but when I asked if the alignment was going to be looked at they said no. Because, I did not ask for it. After talking to the front desk person, and looking at the data of my purchase history, the front desk person agreed that the alignment needed to be done. One because I asked for my tires to be rotated and two because its a good thing to get your alignment on your car checked every 6 months according to the front desk person.Why did the alignment not get checked. I didnt ask for it. I did ask for a tire rotation and normally an alignment check is done at the same time. Not this day!Telling your customers that something was not done, because They did not ask for it, is such a punch in the balls to a customer.Obviously this Firestone shop does not want me as a client. That is just sad.

I just went today to get a tire plugged due to a nail. Made a same day appointment and still waited 2 hours to plug. On top of that they did a complementary battery check and LEFT MY HOOD UNLATCHED. I feel like thats something you should nail every time as an automotive tech. Closing the hood of a car once youre done.
They didnt do the work they said they were going to do. Also i had to return three times to get them to put the correct amount of oil in my car per what the owners manual says. I will never go to this place again
I had a flat tire on the freeway. After I was able to put on one of the tiny spares, I stopped at the closest Firestone here at Southland. They pulled up my cars info. ( I always take it to Firestone) and were able to get me a new tire (i had insurance on the old one) on the car and ready to go. They were friendly, professional and helpful. It was a long day but it didnt turn out as bad as it could have been. They came through like a champ.
I came in close to closing. They were able to fix my tire which had a screw in it. I was in and out in under an hour. It was good service at a reasonable price.

I have completely given up on this shop. 2 issues in 2 visits. 1st visit I had gotten an alignment. After a few days, while driving, the driver front camber bolt came off and inverted my wheel and destroyed my tire. Had to replace tire which firestone did not cover. 2nd visit, I had gotten a 60k mile service. At 66K I was gping to change the oil in my car and the oil drain plug was way over torqued. Went to the shop and was given a slot 2 days later? Upon arrival I asked if they use a torque wrench to tighten plug in order to not over torque. The technician said they do not. When I got my car back after the service I asked the manager the same question and he answered the opposite? In addition my drain plug is now stripped. Firestone did not offer an oil change or even replace a plug that cost $7? Which wouldnt have been in that condition had it not been over torqued. If you value your car and time, steer clear of this shop.

0 Stars. For several reasons.1. They dont care about your time. Oil Change and brake inspection took 4.5 hours WITH appointment. Took a 10:00 AM appointment 1 week prior. Got out at 2:30 PM.2. They overcharge by a ton. After inspecting the brakes they gave me a quote. ~$60 for brake pads that cost $30 online. ~$170 for rotors that cost less than $80 online. And I am looking at the same part numbers from the same manufacturer.3. They misinform you to make more money. Firestone said my rear rotors need replacement. I got my brakes and rotors inspected by 2 other mechanics, who said there is absolutely no need to replace rotors, just the brake pads.Finally the total quote was ~$610 = $170 rear rotors + $60x2 both brake pads + $320 labor. I got it done under $300 by getting my own brake pads online and finding a trustworthy mechanic (yelp). Even if I had new rotors it would cost me $80 more at the most. Firestone = Thieves!

Good place instead of flat tire repair, over inflated tires triggered my tire icon in my car. The service advisor put correct air pressure and my tire icon went off. Total of 5--10 min. To complete. No flat repair. Happy. Monday 7:00am 05--29--30.
If there is a 0 stars option I will give them 0. This is the 2nd time my car did not get serviced properly. First time work was not done and liquids were not topped off. I went next day to complain to the manager about couple of thins and he was full of excuses, yet no apology. He promised better service next time. This time I took my car for brakes to be done and few other small inspections. Left the car about 9:30 AM. They called me at 3:30 PM to tall me that they couldnt order parts on time, so to bring the car next day. When I talked to the manager, he suggested to give them one extra day to order parts. I did, and when I went back 2 days later, they told me that they couldnt order parts because thy need to measure rotors. When I asked why they did not measure rotors first day when they had car for the full day, they were upset that I even asked yet had not explanations. I asked to talk to the manager but he was apparently not in. Dont bother going there.
Booked appointment for 11:30 oil change for 6/2. Appointment initially cancelled then I rescheduled and got same time on same date confirmed.Backlog of customers and now 1230 pm car is still sitting in jokingly funny express check-in area. By the way no such thing as express check-in. It is more just a holding area.Never go back to this place.
Well the fact they broke, I guess the cable that holds my spare tire on my Honda Pilot and tried to blame the tow truck company that changed my tire, they only get 1 star, wont be going back there again.
Very bad customer service
I came in during mid afternoon, hoping for get in and out. I saw numerous cars and thought I would be stuck there for hours. Louis was very proffesional and was very knowledgeable of the work there. He ask about my family and he was very funny. He found the best parts for my car and got me in and out with a small wait. I enjoyed my lunch at the mall and got my car out the door during his promise time. He saved me also a few bucks with a coupon. On my way out, he gave me some recommendations. I will be back. Mostly come here for batteries, tires or for somthing my reg mechanic cant do. I did have an issue a few days ago and they are working on the issue to my satisfaction. The store manager is fair and caring. They still have my busines.
I toke my VW GLI in to Firestone because there was a loud noise coming out of the engine. 2 hrs later they called me to pick up my car they couldnt find any problem with the car and suggested me to take it to the dealership instead. However they still charged me $180.00 for the inspection.My friend who is not an automatic heard the car engine and told me the timing belt was running out of time and need it to be replaced. He changed the timing belt and the problem was solved!At that point I had determined never to come back to this place.Well years later here I go again lol just yesterday my Mercedes c230 was over heating and firestone is a couple of blocks hay for convenience I decided to give this place a try again, maybe expecting they have better mechanics now after my previous experience. But they just called me to tell me the same thing again. They said they cant find the reason why my car is over heating and there advise me to go to the dealership or to another automechanic.So they have 5 mechanics on site and they area still thelling me to go to another mechanic and yes theyre still charging me $180.00 for the diagnostic again. 🤣🤦♂️👎This place is just a jocke and Im never coming here every again.They may have good tires but the automatic service its a waste of your time and money and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone at all.

They did change my tire for me, which was what I needed, but the manager was incredibly rude, asked me if I liked having sex on drugs, talked about how much he enjoyed meth and told me I would be prettier if I smiled more and WOULDNT LEAVE ME ALONE while I was waiting. Being treated like that BY THE MANAGER as a woman with a flat tire was RIDICULOUSLY inappropriate and uncalled for. I would have been perfectly happy and given five stars if I hadnt been treated in such a gross disrespectful manner. I couldnt WAIT to get out of there. I would have been happy if theyd just left me alone while I was waiting for them to change the tire, but NO, the manager couldnt leave me alone. Its RIDICULOUS to me that this man is the manager the way he treated me. Hes supposed to be setting an example for the other employees, who were NOT surprisingly also all men. This is how they treat women clients. Ridiculous.

I am a firestorne customers for 10 years, untill few weeks ago, i have very unpleasant experience after replaced car battery. changing battery usually is very simple job for all auto care store. but my car all power windows not working after replaced it by their tech. so i brought my car back to shop and spoke to Albert Mayden, he said the problem doesnt cause by them. i asked him whether they can re-check my car, it might need reset or a fuse burnt, but he refused, he said they wont responsible any electrical issue, he said that he was store manager on duty at that time, the problem was impossible cause by them. then he ask me to talk to Mike next week, store manager, for the issue that i had.i took his business card, so i can talk to Mike. but i found Albert Mayden was Manager of Tire Sales on his card. He was not a tech, nor a store manager. the next date, i ask another store tech who told me that my car just need reset the power windows after replaced battery, which i did by myself (follow the car manual).Now, i understand, Firestone is NOT Complete Auto Care, at least they dont care after they replaced battery?i dont have a chance to talk to Mike, so i post this review, share my experience may help other battery replacement customers. they have done many good job to me, but not this time. Albert Mayden said it was not their responsibility to pre- and post- check customers car! Hard believe their service?by the way, i think this store tech still use old way to replace battery. so i have to reset all the electronic setting, power seat, power windows, time, ac, ...and all, on my new Hybrid model. i was told by another store tech who said he always to keep power by another battery, so all the setting wont be changed. apparently Firestone dont have training for their technician do the right way for new cars

They even were going to charge us as they said it was a different problem. They lost our business
Well,i buy from them the lifetime warranty for aligment,before i buy it they treat me pretty nice,and then after paying that the service went totally bad,i did not get what i paid for,they did the job with the tires in bad condition,i did not know that my tires where bad because i never look under inside,the technician did pay attencion on that,he did not tell me,he release the car with the tires like that,my aligment still the same,it was a lot of stress,,i think they just want the money,so next time you guys go for that service,make sure you got what you paid for,
