We rented a U-Haul trailer and they did not provide us with the adapter necessary for our truck we had a purchase a new adapter that we will not be using ever again because they say they did they do not provide it adapters for your vehicle. And we asked the manager if they had an adapter that we could borrow he said that we do not provide him and he was laughing his name is Saul 😡😡😡😡😡

U-haul is the most disappointing garbage on this planet. They almost cost me my cross-country trip due to incompetance.

They should change their open time to 7:30 or 8 am.Because I’ve been waiting outside for over 20 minutes And no one has even arrived to open the business.Garbage.If it weren’t for the fact that I needed to rent out a truck so early I wouldn’t even come to this location

The team gave me false information (LIED) about needing coverage insurance for my 3 day rental. They would not take no for an answer (BEWARE). I called the website number and they confirmed the additional charge was OPTIONAL so I have requested a refund. To top it off, they barely begun cleaning the truck after I paid which leads me to believe they dont clean the trucks right when theyre returned, they wait till it becomes somebody elses problem. 1 star.

Most importantly - Friendly, helpful team even when it was really busy, who readily answered my questions that were probably a little needless. Overall, a great customer experience!

I can only speak for the phone customer service and the U-Box delivery service for this location, and those were top notch. Overall, the U-Box experience was great, delivering much faster than predicted (two weeks early!) and nothing was damaged during transit. Once the boxes arrived in Hayward, U-Haul was able to move up my delivery date without a problem. The customer service reps from this location were very communicative with me regarding delivery specifications, times, what was expected of me, etc. in the days preceding the delivery, and also on the pick-up day. They made every effort to work around a special request from me regarding pickup time and really exceeded my expectations with how well they adhered to their estimate. Ive already recommended the U-Box services to many, and will conduct further business with this location for any moving needs in the future.

I reserved a truck for three days they charged me 177.56 and was taken from my account. I only needed the truck for one day I was charged for two witch came out to 68.72. So I was owed 109.28 in return. I was told I would receive it 2-5 business days I never received it. I called after two weeks and asked about it. The entire transaction disappeared 👻 from my account. I never received my 109 dollars back.

Dont ever try to use the app its horrible. I got charged a $25 cleaning fee, the truck was returned exactly like I received it. Next time Ill just walk everything back-and-forth by myself it would be worth the hassle

Just like any other U-Haul place. Same trick to get your $$ with a Twins on it. I went to the facility Liquor store/Mail center to rent this Vehicle. Trucks are Very Clean spanking New. Well they one I rented. The lady was nice to help me and go on my way. Just take your time reviewing your trip and see whats better.

Everything went well with my truck rental. Lines were not long. They have great packing material for sale which helped me pack my stuff more safely. Only issue is that the person in the store gave me different info about the U-Haul insurance policy compared to their insurance department that I had talked to earlier. I decided to trust their insurance department. Thankfully, we had no accidents.

Went inside and asked employee on propane refill, he said wait outside at refill station. This is after using their buzzer at the propane Tank station which is just there for show I guess. 45 minutes later, another Guy finally came out with a customer and says he cant help me coz I didnt wait in line inside. I left. Such ridiculous CS. Wasted my time.

A dumpster fire from start to finish. The staff are surly, uncommunicative and mean spirited, going so far as to close the window blinds in my face while I was asking for help. The truck I was assigned scared the bejesus out of me as the gear shift kept DOING things, like going into neutral instead of reverse, or lurching forward at random times. The brakes, needless to say, didnt work well either. Overall, I was overcharged well and above any expectation, considering I returned the vehicle on time, with more gas than Id received, and clean. Real classy, these people.

Took in my family’s U-haul truck as hostage in another state and claimed a price higher than before. All of my family’s belongings are in those uhaul containers. VERY upset with their communication and how they kept hanging up in the middle of my family’s sentences.

Bad experience! I scheduled to pickup my truck on 12/3/17 at 8 AM, which was an off-hours self pick up. The website said the truck should be ready starting from 7am. But when I arrived at 8am, the truck had not been assigned. I called the number provided but nobody answered. I then called uhauls customer service which ended up pushing me around different representatives and provided essentially no help. I had scheduled my movers to come at 8:30 but my truck was still nowhere to find! Had to call the movers and apologize to them. I finally found an employee there but she didnt know why the truck had not been assigned either, and couldnt assign me one for this order. Eventually I had to redo the order but change it to pick up in store. And I didnt receive any apology during the entire process.

My U boxes were kept by them for more than one week and couldn’t deliver to the desitination on time. They didn’t even trying to let me know before change the delivery. Called U-Haul CS hundred of times, they all can’t help and their system is really a mess!!!!! My access date in the contract is today and when my moving company wanted to unload the stuff, they couldn’t find my u boxes!!!!! I have to pay additional cost to moving company to reschedule as well as to find my boxes first!!!!!! What a mess, Uhaul, shame on you!

This U-Haul location has a large office, almost size of a gas station! It is professionally operated. The lady who checked us in is funny and very pleasant to deal with! All the stuff are helpful too.

Will never go to this location again. Poor customer service, went to this location had a reservation and didnt have the trailer available on the day of pick up. Whats the point of having a reservation. Went to the Fremont location and was able to get a trailer on a walk in basis.

I made a reservation for the hitch installation and I do receive the conformation email. I went there on time but they told me that they do not have the hitch, they will look into it and give me a call. but I never get the call!

Open until 8 drove in rush hour traffic to get here before then and no one here was certified. Flung to loose everything in my fridge thanks to them since leaving for the weekend

If you reserve ahead of time you can be in and out quickly. I rented here for 3 moves, service was great.

I tried the u-box service from Pasadena to redwood city and am now having to travel more than an hour out of my way to Hayward back to redwood City and make several trips to get all of my stuff shuttled ot pay an extra over 100 dollar fee just because I didnt know the address of the final place Id be living and was not informed that it would be delivered there instead of the town Im moving to. I was told it would be delivered to redwood City initially and never told about the extra fee Id have to pay just because I didnt make a third reservation initially.

If I can give minus star, I will definitely do that.I have my reservation at 9:30am and I arrived at 9 am.I wait in line for half and one hour and finally talked to a guy called Anthony and I got result is there is no car available as there should be one truck return yesterday. This is first funny part why u haul not check the day before I check in? At least they can call me or give a message. Thats fine, then I call customer service, they schedule me another truck at 1 pm, and before that I checked with Anthony again and again, he just told your truck not there. Until I look around my self and I found the exact truck number as on my u haul app. Then I talked to him, my car is just over there and I also show him the app. He just ignored and said that truck not for you, I dont know why they assign you this truck then just run away. Its already 5 hours passed, I still there with no help. Until I found one guy called Suha, he looks like very polite. Then I do the last try, and he also walked to Anthony and asked the question, and Anthony still ignored. At that time, I felt so helpless and I even thinking about call 911. Fortunately Suha had sympathy on me and said let me check for you, one minute, he back and said Sir, thats your truck.And he immediately help me get the car in 5 mins. Thanks Suha. Another funny part, U-Haul will charge delay return 150 dollars but they will only give the waiting customer 50 dollars credit. Which means when customer face some issue, they earn 100 dollars. And I wait 5 hours and get 50 which means my rate is funny 10 dollars per hour. As u-haul charge customer 1.2 dollars per mile, customer should also charge u-haul 1 dollar for every minute delay:)

Normally wouldnt do this because its a waste of time. That being said, these people are idiots. I ordered a car from their SERVICE company 3 days in advance. I came to pick up my rental on the correct date and time and these idiots didnt have a rental for me. I was told I could sit and wait for a couple hours. Instead I decided to leave because I figured they should have ordered MY rental maybe before the customer showed up for service. Its not hard to do your job but it is if youre stupid.The manager behind the front desk informed me that Well its not our fault, its their fault. So I decided to be nice to the guy because OBVIOUSLY it wasnt his fault It was the imaginary company named he kept referring to as them and their.P.S. Im ok with the whole legal marijuana thing but obviously these guys are hotboxing the uhauls

Called and asked if they can fill up propane tank in a motorhome, they said yes, bring it in. Drove here 20 minutes, lady said I have to wait 10 minutes till right person starts his shift. After 10 minutes I wad told that sorry, no one can fill up the tank. How incompetent should you be?!

This is the 2nd time I rented from this location; I tried to AVOID to rent in this location; Very bad customer service; The guy claimed he is the store manager: Kris Naidu; But He is the poorest manager: I called customer services center and the lady said I could return the Trailer late without charging me for on extra day; Then Kris was very RUDE, not friendly at all; He repeated he would charge one extra day for one hour late; I told him I have been Uhaul customer for 6 years; No other stores charged me for one extra day for the late due to the traffic; He foolished their customers; He wanted to call the police to arrest their customers;Very poor customer service; Every employee was lying;My invoice indicated that this invoice was printed at 2:00 PM, but they put the return time: 1:45 PM, which is 15 minutes early by renting a day for 24 hours;They did not check you out immediately, asked you to pull your vehicle to certain spot, waiting other customers to leave, etc, then asked you to check out, and saying you are late for 40 minutes, we have to charge you one extra day;Why should I pay one extra day for not using their Uhaul Trailer at all;

Had to wait in line for at least 30 minutes. They did not have the truck we reserved ahead of time. Tried to over charge me and had to call the main number to make sure I got the price I was guaranteed. The manager was rude to me. They didnt know what they were doing, it took them over an hour to put our payment threw. They were rude and not helpful to other potential renters. Also, did not have the other things we reserved and paid for..had to go to another store to pick those things up ourselves. Would never go back there.
