Mike and the guys at universal jewelry and loan are great!! Very honest, I went in during the week to sell a handgun, we negotiated a fair price but I thought I could do better. I could not, so I went back Saturday to take their offer, only thing was I forgot where we ended negotiation and I didn’t want to feel like I was trying to get $50 more dollars and thought we ended at $550, he called the guy I worked with during the week and he said we ended at $600. Not many people would be that honest, I would definitely check these guys out if you want to buy or sell anything!

I was looking for an Xbox everywhere and couldnt find one, I didnt wanna buy a used one, but I figured Id give it a shot so I called Universal and they took care of me. The Xbox runs great so far. The price and service was great!Would definitely do business with them again and highly recommend.

Wonderful new shop they have here with great employees that will help you with almost anything you need. Very friendly. Have not one negative thing to say about this newer shop in Hazel Park and especially nothing bad to say about its employees. They took a rough shop and remodeled it as well into something very nice and decent. Best prices as well. Definitely worth checking out if you have something to either pawn or sell.

A fabulous experience with Mike. Im from Colorado and saw a post selling an authentic LV Neverfull. Mike sent me MULTIPLE pictures, all of what I asked so that I could verify authenticity. Once I decided to purchase, he sent it out same day. Got it within two days and its perfect! Highly recommend this shop.

I was told on the phone I would receive 20 dollars from an employee Jaye, and when I came in he was on lunch and the other guy working the counter said he would give me 15. He talked with jaye, (who was on lunch) and he verified our verbal agreement on the phone, and I was paid the 20 dollars I was promised. Good customer service for sure!

I purchased a series of items from this pawn shop for which I had appraised later was told a cross was a half carat really was 1/4 carat I was told the ring that I purchased had a 20 pointer Stone inside of it when it really had nothing more than an eight pointer I spent more than $400 . I got taken

Stopped by on my walk home because I saw they were selling instruments. I the staff was very nice and helpful. They allowed me to try out their electric bass guitars on an amp of my choice. However, the prices on the two that I tried were pretty steep. One was a little more understandable because it was a 5 string bass. But one of the 4 string basses was going for over $200. Which is ridiculous, especially since it was only an Ibanez SDGR and the neck was bent.

Comes off nice but not what glitters is Gold.. Was working there and missed a day after my Grandmother died. The little respect they Wont respond back to you. Disgusting mentality no respect for your family, but wants you at Work.
