Easy find the place with ample parking. Person taking the prints was friendly and efficient
The bookstore is wonderful and has many things an aspiring student could want. But, it has two levels and to get to the basement level a disabled student has to know where the elevator is and how to find the lower level of the book store.
A Perfect 10 bookstore. This place has everything that you need, books, supplies, apparel and everything in between. The staff in the bookstore are friendly and they never seem to disappoint.
This is my school bookstore. Their textbook prices are pretty reasonable and they do price matching from select websites but they do not have a huge selection of used textbooks the longer you wait to buy books. In addition to textbooks, they sell quite a bit of dorm gear, binders/folders, and university spirit gear here. The only reason this isnt 5 stars is because the prices of the shirts/spirit gear are pretty high considering the majority of people buying the stuff are college kids without a lot of money. Also, the snacks they sell in the store cannot be bought with your meal card if you are a student.
Too expensive and dont have certain options in clothing for family members of students. If your looking for a Hofstra Sister you wont find it. Hoodie was $65 and up
Kevin is the most helpful person in the bookstore and Post Office. Nothing is too much trouble for him.
Good place to buy your college merchandise. Helpful staff to ask when you need something.
Hofstra mom !!! So proud of my beautiful daughter class of 2023
Its a classic Hofstra experience - an average variety of exorbitantly expensive doodads. In all seriousness, its okay, hence the 3 stars. The bookstore stock most of the books required in your coursework here, though many could be in short supply. Think of HUB as a last resort, not a first choice: it does have book price matching now to remain competitive, but the small stock is unreliable. For everything else, HUB is very expensive. Unless you need something immediately (again, the bookstore should only be a last resort,) buy beforehand from Amazon or eBay instead. I once bought a razor here because I had to go to a last-minute interview and couldnt bike back home in time. It was 20$ and then some. What it does have is a wealth of overpriced Hofstra merchandise. Buy these for the merchandise and brand value, to show off Hofstra Pride, but dont buy it because its a blue hoodie. Trust me youll get two better hoodies with the same amount of money.
This place steals your money in any way possible. Ive never witnesssed such blatant fraudulence in my life.
They stand by their price matching for Amazon and B&N
Overpriced items, return policy is questionable. They sell snacks for $2 over the common price at Target, Walmart, etc. School supplies are marked up too, and the opening times are less than amusing, especially for the post office.Long Review short: Order online or go to Target if you want to save $5 or so.
Directions very easy to get to with maps
So expensive. Use Amazon instead.
The hofstra book store is exactly what youd expect from a college store. Lots of Hofstra brand apparel (with a 40% price markup). The basement houses the actual bookstore where course books can be found using your course number (not your CRN) and its all relatively easy. In the back section other school supplies like pencils, notebooks, and folders can be found (again all rediculously overpriced). If youre in a time crunch, get your supplies here, if not you can find almost everything cheaper on the Internet or at some mega store.
Great options but literally everything is overpriced
Clean nice and organized
Friendly staff, Nice campus,
So cute!
Friendly helpful staff
Rather expensive, but the staff is helpful
I hate how I get emails fro a package on Sunday and yet I cant go and pick it up until Monday. It makes no sense to me. I really wish the book store and the package pickup were 2 separate entities so I can pick up packages on Sunday. Also, the prices are way too high.
Expensive books as to be expected but other than that it has a large inventory with plenty of variety, guaranteed to satiate your thirst for knowledge at the cost of an empty wallet.
Put you on hold and never pick back up.
Expensive. Limited selection.
Too expensive
What a miserable place
