Got most of what I was looking for on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing outstanding here, nothing bad either. Self serv line was fast. Selections were somewhat limited on Sale Items, but expected on a weekend afternoon. 1st time at this location and glad I know it is here if in this part of LI.

Its good supermarket almost like ShopRite. Price a little higher on food, but great.

Selection was good. Staff were not. Went to checkout and 3 different clerks did not want to work. Rolled eyes, shock head and mumbled under breathe. Did not feel like they wanted to help anyone. The 10 other custo.ers felt same. We all wanted to go to self check but they only allow 12 items (that is what clerk said, no sign though) so some could not use. Need to get better staff that appreciate that there are customers and that customers want friendly, helpful workers.

Chop meat is great...rest of the meat 💩💩💩and not alot to choose from. Keep it stocked and fresh

I’m so tiered of this stop and shop. If you want to go to self checkout they will make a 5 minute trip and make it 30 because of these stupid machines and the managers just don’t care he told me to get used to it. If I could give this stop and shop negative starts I would. This isn’t the first time I asked for help and get a rude manager. Did anyone force you to get this job? So why are you hostel towards me?

Easy to shop there.... finding items that you wish to buy ? No problem... their stocks are properly organized.

Loved they had a parking lot.

I went there to use their coinstar machine. I had half a bucket of loose change. Did not have time to roll them up so the machine did the counting for me. They charge a percentage but its worth it. They are also very clean oh and I hear they sell good groceries also. Check them out

The place is very clean and I love the store. The 5 stars go to the store . There is just one cashier that is always the only register open at 7:00 am. She is always standing in the register next to the self check out side.She is always very rude, I dont know what her problem is, but she is not careful when scanning the groceries, she throws everything in a bad way, I said good morning twice, she doesnt respond. After that I dont go to her register, I tried to do a self check out or I go a little later to go with other register. She is RUDE.

Very clean and spacious..bought a pack of smoked turkey neck upon opening the pack. Wow it was smelly and slimly. Please check ur meat section every day

I have shopped in this particular store for nearly 15 years. Why! Its local and I do not have a car and I hate paying taxis!!! Anyway, I have seen managers come and go, gotten to know many of the cashiers and workers. I have sent my share of complains to corporate whenever there was a problem, such as expired foods on the shelf, meat in the foods area, some people actually would go to the deli, order food, eat the food as they pretend to shop and leave the empty containers in the dry food shelves. I would call corporate and they corrected the problem Especially the expired food. When I reported the expired food and went back to the store the next day I saw workers pulling loads of food off the shelves!! That was about five years ago. Since then, they have revamped, redesigned the entire store.The store was looking pretty good, I even got to know the yet again NEW manger Charlie. got to know, security, even the lady police officer in the store. The store was new, bright, clean, pleasant, the workers appeared happy, always helpful, the place was a welcoming place to shop in. Customer service was top notch! and it was buzzing with pleasantness. Finally a good shopping experience to look forward to.THAT DID NOT LAST LONG. On March 22nd afternoon, I went to the store this time with my return bottles. I usually buy poland spring water and am charged for the bottles so I return them to get my money back. The bottle room was filthy! dirty wet floors, machines broken, garbage everywhere! part 2 contuned!

So its the middle of a pandemic and you have people only going in and out of one entrance..they are all bumping into each other and everything when you are supposed to be social distancing. I see not everyone is being made to wear a mask. There were some customers in the store without masks! Do better stop n shop! Sale items not marked when they are marked in the circular

My shopping experience at Stop and Shop was good. I was able to find what I was shopping for at a reasonable price.

The staff was excellent. I just want to say that first. They were helpful, competent, and generously kind. However, there was no Scan-It. I buy 20 cans of cat food, 10 yogurts, and items that I prefer people not see (like too much ice cream). I could sit in front of the self-scan machine for 1/2 hour trying desperately to fit everything on to the tiny shelf or I can go to a regular register which I have not done in years. So, that was slightly awkward, but the cashier was not judgmental, thank goodness. So, no Scan-It is bad, lack of products is bad, but worst of all is that demon robot got in my way a bunch of times and, Im not kidding, I actually had to play chicken with the damn thing.

It would be great if it had gluten free cakes n pies, cookies etc . other than that no complaints!

The seafood isAlways not good I bought crab legs and they are no good and I pay so much they don’t check it and put fresh stuff just the store in Hempstead

Its always that 1 rude employee its the bakery manager for me.(Monica) it seems shes very rude on 3 different occasions she blankly disregarded me. I have no clue why nor care to ask its simply unprofessional. I just moved to the area so i know she doesnt know me at all. Other than that I love the store everything so easy to find. Its nice and neat clean my kinda store to shop for my family and I. Its so ironic I posted this outside of the woodmere stop and shop on Rockaway Blvd which moved from burnside... And somehow it popped up for the Hempstead store..... This store however I like and Hate all depends whos working. Been shopping here 18 years some of the employees maybe shouldnt have been hired for the positions they apply for. None likes a rude employee.

At the present time they are restructuring the store. Everything is in different isles. Once complete, it will probably be nice. But for now, I walked in every isle because I didnt know where everything was anymore.

Its a good superstore, but it tends to be a little pricey.

Greeter very friendly even offered a free nice canvas shopping 🛍 very useful. The store looked and smelled very clean also well stock

The store is managed very well. They have a 7-8am Senior shopping hour daily. In addition, the shelves are generally well stocked and they maintain a a pretty robust inventory. They also enforce a policy of social distancing and face masks.

I take a cab there every 2 weeks. I love shopping there i can always find everything I want.

During my store visit, three different people stopped me to ask for money. One in the parking lot (who banged on my car window) and two inside the store. I was there for about 15 minutes.

Love the store and the freshness of the food. I just hate that theres hardly ever enough cashiers. The worse was Christmas Eve, store closing early (several announcements over loud speaker every 5 minutes) but only 4 registers open? There were other staff walking around the store who shouldve helped with the check out.Definitely love the store but looks like its time to seek out an alternative.

I really like this store for variety and selection. Their stock is not too abundant, but you can find what you are looking for- except actual Wild Rice. They only had a rice blend that contained Wild Rice, so I had to purchase that one item elsewhere. They lost two stars for safety; their parking lot is poorly lit at night. I wont shop there after dark because the lighting in the parking lot is almost non-existent.(two weeks later)I could not be more impressed with Stop and Shop ownership and management. I received a direct mail response from the ownership with genuine concern and straight-forward plans for remedy. Within a brief amount of time, the lighting in the parking lot was corrected - the parking lot was well lit and I am back to shopping this location at night! Thank you Stop and Shop for paying attention to your valued consumers!

I brought a shrimp cocktail platter for an event I had 4 hours later when we opened it the shrimp were still frozen solid. I had to run the shrimp under warm water and replace them on the platter to serve.😒 also purchased a mixed fruit bowl that was fresh and delicious.

I could not shop there I had to leave because I am handicap and the only one handicap cart that they had available was never plugged in and it was dead. I drove to Shop Rite who had 5 available fully charged handicap carts So I did my daily shopping and spent my $190 at Shop Right
